Question: Suppose that the altruistic force becomes an integral part of a person and begins to dictate new norms of behavior to him. Then, what? How does a person like this need to behave?

Answer: When the altruistic force begins to speak in a person, he acts in accordance with it. To the degree that it realizes itself in a person, he will act to that degree. He becomes qualitatively better, more honest and, yes, more supportive and sympathetic, actively helpful to everyone.

Question: In our world, it will be very difficult for people like this.

Answer: I don’t know. I don’t personally feel this.

Certainly, a person like this will not participate in filthy intrigues and machinations at work. He will not pursue capital. He will swap priorities.

Suppose that advancement in a career is imperative for him for the needs of some of his achievements as a scientist, as an expert. So, he will be involved with this. However, if this doesn’t interest him, he will not climb the career ladder at the expense of others.

The person doesn’t become “dry.” He lives a full life but, together with this, he views the world with completely different eyes. Outside, he seems like a relaxed, balanced, intelligent, kind, and friendly person, while within him intense changes are taking place that are not seen by those around him.

Gradually, the mutual connection between people that is called the “upper world” begins to be revealed to him. He begins to see the system of our connections that is found between us and behaves according to this. Therefore, there cannot be any conflict with the society here, for he becomes the most useful component of society.

Who could disagree with him? Who could be against him? The external field—which is composed of two forces and already operates within him—will never make things such that it will be bad for him. On the contrary, he is found in equivalence, in resemblance, in mutual connection, in harmony, with nature.

Question: Do you have economists who would be able to develop a model of the economy of reasonable consumption?

Answer: No, we are not involved in that area. After all, as they become an integral society, it will create its own environment for itself.

Instead of regular banks, there will be banks that engage only in service to the population and will not take anything more than what is needed for the bank to exist. The same thing relates to the rest of the social systems. They will function only in order to give service to people and not to make profits from them.

The economy will gradually shrink to a normal, logical volume and will stop being a growth economy pursuing increasing percentages each quarter. What for? In order to pollute the atmosphere, to pump out energy resources from the earth, to accumulate “green paper” and just store them in banks? Is that called “progress”? It’s certain that the present crisis is designed to regulate this situation.

The economy of growth will die out on its own. For this to happen, there is no need for revolutions because everything will be realized through the integral education of the people! Masses of people in cities and different countries will gradually make the transition to a different system of communication between them. Think about it, what is economy, finance, and exchange of merchandise if not communication between people, which is expressed in a material form.

Question: It is possible, of course, to switch to barter exchange.

Answer: There is no need for any exchange; society will create new structures of mutual service for itself.

Question: How is it possible to fulfill such desires as a thirst for knowledge in the transition period to the integral state?

Answer: The thirst for knowledge is realized with Integral Education.

What kind of knowledge do we have as of today?! It is small, pathetic, and one-sided; we have learned little from our egoistic development. After all, we don’t know about nature, it’s hidden from us. Look at where we have put ourselves: We have reached a full crisis in all the sciences.

Moreover, we have transformed these sciences so that they are like a cancerous tumor that has begun to work against us where these are bought just like that! Where is the real science? It doesn’t exist. Who wants to be a scientist?! All of them are interested only in title, position, and honor.

In fact, today there is nothing else! Even if there are still true scientists, they are disappearing, remnants of the past. For egoism is evolving! They cannot be otherwise! I am not saying that there aren’t idealists today, but these idealists are the last of the Mohicans. God forbid, I am not blaming anyone; this is simply the natural evolution of egoism within us.

In our days a very great conflict is being created between the elites and the impoverished masses. With every passing day the gap between them grows and is acquiring threatening dimensions. The tension is growing in society. We see how nationalistic, fascists regimes are gradually rising in many countries as a natural reaction to what is happening.

The elites cannot part from the movement towards wealth. With each devaluation, they are becoming wealthier, while the masses become more and more impoverished and lack perspective. A serious problem is created in society. The tension and polarity reach very great dimensions and already begin to be felt in the developed nations.

The third world nations still live in poverty and it’s doubtful if their inhabitants will ever succeed in reaching a condition of wellbeing. A question about the future of the world is appearing: What can be done about all this? The wisdom of Kabbalah warned about the development of events like these. What we talked about 10 – 15 years ago is beginning to be realized now; moreover, this is being realized very rapidly.

We can expect to see conditions that will not be good for us. People feel this. The feeling of no escape can be seen in their lack of desire to raise families, to give birth to children. A tremendous number of people living in the western nations and in America (65 – 70%) suppose that it will be much worse for their future children than it is for them; therefore, they don’t want to give birth to them.

In such a complicated time like this, the wisdom of Kabbalah has appeared, a hidden method for changing the world, which has waited for this moment and which warned about it many years ago. We know that Baal HaSulam traveled to Poland to convince people of the need to change. He wrote to many leaders in the world trying to prevent the Second World War. For Kabbalah speaks about this, that according to the development of creation in four stages there may be four world wars.

Kabbalah begins to proclaim louder and louder that it has a means for helping the world that has no need for anything besides this. We see how the greatness and importance of scientists and philosophers has fallen, how the leaders of the nations are gradually impotent. This is the natural movement of evolution which cannot be stopped.

Question: We are accustomed to the fact that in order to change society we should have some kind of plan….

Answer: There is no plan! There is only natural progression! How did humanity originally evolve? According to the same principle! We cannot make a plan like Baron Munchausen’s: Tomorrow at nine o’clock in the morning do something heroic, because this is true and natural development.

The main thing is to combine the second altruistic force and allow nature to develop the integral society comfortably, there is no need for anything more than this. It will build itself by itself. Only in this way do we make the right society; nature does this. It summons in us some drive and we apply it further, making an effort and scrambling like a sperm that finds its way and produces a new life.

So the old society will begin to organize an additional system, a new society.

This system is built in a natural way. There are no obligations and dictates in it. We don’t tell anyone what to do, rather only teach people how to mutually communicate between them correctly through the principles of bestowal and love. There is nothing more than this.

Egoism is simmering in you all the time. But in opposition to it, with the help of the surrounding society, the examples and support from the friends, you try to show yourself as loving and bestowing to the environment.

Question: Are the integral structures that are being created during the transitional period in the framework of an egoistic society?

Answer: Yes, but they begin to influence and quietly reformat it.

How else are all kinds of thoughts and rumors spread today? Wherever someone is thinking about something, I begin to think about it too because all of us are linked in a huge system of connections.

Therefore, if we create an altruistic society it will subconsciously permeate everyone because they operate at a different frequency, two lines with a third between them, something that doesn’t exist in an egoistic society.

We are activating a new level which is found above all the previous levels of humanity where only one egoistic force worked. We give the world the two forces in order to create the third. And therefore, working on a different frequency, the integral method will easily penetrate everywhere. This is especially so in a world that is already prepared for it.

Question: As far as I understand, the process itself of building a new combination between egoism and altruism will be very difficult for all people individually.

Answer: It could be very easy because this is not personal work but essentially group work. This method is applicable in the correct organization of an educational learning process.

Question: What happens with the desires for wealth, power, and knowledge that have always constituted the motivational force of the ego?

Answer: Everything that we approach today, without the choice of the authorities who want to calm people down through a “daily ration” necessary for existence, is particularly close to what the wisdom of Kabbalah or Integral Education is saying.

In other words, we must be satisfied with a normal and reasonable material existence. Everyone must have his own dwelling, room or corner where he will feel comfortable, the essential food, shoes, clothing, and all the rest.

And all the rest of the fulfillments and development he will get only through learning in the system of Integral Education. For him there will no longer be the explosions of the former needs. On the contrary, the moment that the person begins to develop integrally, he will understand that he can attain a reasonable material existence, give a normal education to his children, and live comfortably without fear of going outside; he will get inner fulfillment.

Besides inner fulfillment, we must give our body what is required for its normal functioning: healthy nourishment, clean air, restful sleep, and so forth. We must relate to the physical body like a pet that lives with us, wash it, let it sleep, feed it, and no more.

During all the rest of the time, we develop the person within the framework of Integral Education. We are involved with this all day: courses, lectures, study, games, and personal development. We have many possibilities for developing this system together with the all the others. The entire world is before us.

And the main thing is that in accordance with this we feel more and more fulfillments and discoveries, as if we are discovering new worlds for ourselves every day! We don’t need to wait for payday once a year to travel somewhere for a week because we feel fulfilled day to day, every hour.

Question: In the past, at the time of the transition from one system to another, did the ego also require altruism or not?

Answer: Egoism nourishes itself by always conquering something. It is like a cancerous tumor that gradually grows while not yet being apparent. And now it is grown to the last stage and is beginning to devour itself.

Until the ‘80s, all of the systems that we constructed served to extend and expand a particular goal. We flew into space, to the stars; we went deep into the bowels of the earth; we built great cities, and we created new technologies. We developed under the influence of one and only one force, and we thought that this would continue forever.

If we were to continue to develop further in this way, we would advance ourselves only externally and not internally. Human development was done in a mechanical, technological manner: Instead of two hands, I would have had twenty; instead of seeing for a distance of two kilometers, I would have seen two hundred thousand kilometers ahead.

In this case, the human became an appendage of a machine, an appendage of a computer. So today the egoistic system begins to work more and more against him. The human has become unnecessary to it.

We have grown to such a state where we must discover the meaning of our existence. Now, for many people, in particular among the youth, the reason for living, the aspiration for some kind of goal, has disappeared. “What is there to strive for? I exist comfortably, I don’t need children, a family, or serious work; what will this give me? It is better if I sit somewhere with friends, have fun. What else is there to live for; what is the reason for living? I will play a little and die, like everyone”.

Therefore the question now is, either to give a person a motivation for living, or drugs. And here Kabbalah or the method of integral education show people a completely different way: to get from nature a second anti-egoistic power. It is precisely this power that created and developed the ego so that we would consciously get it from nature and could mutually manage the two forces of our development.

One of them can inspire us forward with good, through the goal that shines from afar. And the second is like a developmental steamroller that chases me, and I flee from it like that poor coyote in the cartoons.

Question: But even the altruistic force requires egoism, at least in this stage?

Answer: Yes, for this, the ego develops. And now it shows that if we don’t balance it through the altruistic force, it will devour us, like a cancerous tumor in the human body that devours the body and in the end kills itself.

What does a cancerous tumor mean? This is a disrupted program of the development of the body, of the functioning of its cells, where they begin to proliferate beyond their contained space and have an opposite effect.

In principle, every cell has the possibility of cancerous development, but they are always found in harmony between them, in a relative balance between positive and negative forces. But when one of them becomes greater, then another either disappears or there is a disruption in the polarity between them, and in this imbalance destructive development appears.

It is the same thing in society as well. We should begin quickly, through a second positive force, to balance the entire human society that has become a cancerous tumor. And this is the remedy for its recovery.

Unfortunately, at the time of healing cancer, we are satisfied with suppressing the egoistic development of the cells through various kinds of short radiation, thereby killing them. This is not a cure. It is not necessary to kill human society or to do anything else with it. You just need to add the second developmental force to it.

Question: What should I do if I am not built for this work? I have engaged in this work for so long and I have the desire to escape from it all the time.

Answer: You’re still not doing anything. You think that you engage in internal work and that you are advancing, but the advancement is assessed in regard to one’s connection to the group. Now let’s see if you are under the influence of this environment, that you have determined this, and they don’t just impress you automatically.

When you come to the group, it naturally influences you whether you want it or not. You are like a small child who hasn’t learned anything yet. You were just born, and you are taken care of like a baby: diapers, milk, etc. You grow and advance completely unaware that you are totally in the arms of the upper.

But later you are required to participate and connect to your environment: at least to smile at your mother, to reach out to her, to learn something. This means that you must interact with the environment. Do you participate with the environment in anyway, at least like a baby? Do you smile at it? Do you wave your arms and legs with joy like to your mother, when the group approaches?

Our society has to be like a caring mother, or like an incubator in which a person can mature very quickly on the path of “I shall hasten it” and reach the end of correction. There is no other way.

Question: But what can keep me in the group? What if they throw me out?

Answer: We don’t throw anyone out of the group. Even if your egg has not cracked but just lays in the corner of the incubator its whole life. Only if it stinks and begins to spoil and poison our society will we have to throw you out. But as long as you are passive, it isn’t that bad. Even if you are considered a burden on society, we are ready to carry you on our back. Only a person who intends harm has no place among us; everyone else does.

People leave because they don’t listen to what they are told: that spiritual fulfillment is possible only though connection. This connection has to be in the form of an incubator that warms us. Rather than the Creator, the group has to be the good and benevolent for a person. A person cannot advance without an environment, without a group. There is no other way, you either do so or you don’t.

Also there is a good chance for success as there are new opportunities now that no other generation before us had, not since the beginning of humanity in this world. Today we can begin with massive, open dissemination, unlike Baal HaSulam who started to bring people closer very carefully, one by one, mainly from the Orthodox environment, although there were several secular people among his students.

Today we can open the wisdom for all. This means that it is time to build an incubator for the small circle, for the wider circle, and for the whole world. It is our duty to build it. We are the ones who have received the awakening for the Creator, and so we have to build the incubator for all of humanity. This means that we should be the transition, a kingdom of priests.

Rabash, letter 78: Until now we haven’t engaged in constructing buildings and in things that are related to publicity. This isn’t our way, and our only goal is to disseminate the wisdom of the fear of Heaven and God’s work among people who support us and especially the wisdom of Kabbalah and the concealed wisdom for the humble who deserve it.

Yet in this generation, when the wisdom is poor and despised and every city is solidly built, but God’s city is humiliated to the lowest possible place, it is the time of the coming of the Messiah as the gracious know.

Therefore, I have accepted the request of our supporters who wish to expand our residence and to build a small temple for the wisdom and the prayer in the name of my father and teacher, a place where its springs will stem from and will spread outwards, and the wisdom will sing in public, and whoever wishes to know the Creator and obtain the necessary correction and training will come.

I appeal to all our brothers, the children of Israel, in whom the spirit of the Creator lives and who regret the exile of Divinity, to help us in this building and great work. And because of this we will all be rewarded with complete redemption, as it says in The Zohar, “And so the children of Israel will come out of exile.”

I hope for redemption of the total glorification of the Torah.

Today we start the regular broadcasting of the lessons from our new home, hoping that studying in this new place will enable us to disseminate the sources of Kabbalah widely to the public. This, of course, has nothing to do with the corporeal building, but with the efforts that we have made in building this place. Our great efforts operate the strength of our desire through which new people will be drawn here. We will also be able to go out to the public more powerfully, with greater understanding of the wisdom of Kabbalah, and will thus be able to draw people to the correction of the world.

When I first came to Rabash, the new building that was being constructed on Hazon Ish Street in Bnei Brak was almost ready. There was still work to be done inside in arranging the interior. They also tried to build it together with hardly any help from the outside. This is how Kabbalists have always expressed their desire to do things: We built a big Sukkah at Sukkot, and special ovens for Pesach, a gallery, and a women’s section and other additions. We always tried to build everything by ourselves.

I am very glad that during the construction of this building and everything that is in it, everyone did his best and made great efforts. The individual investment of the friends is eternal, both in corporeality and in spirituality. It all rises upwards together with a person’s intentions, subconsciously or consciously, according to his abilities, and it works.

I truly hope that as a result of our efforts and of the efforts that are still to be made in arranging the new building, we will be awarded with greater and wider dissemination both in Israel and all over the world. We are glad that immediately after we begin to study in the new building, there will be the great international convention next month. It actually begins now since we start the preparations for the convention, for the new form, for the new level!

Indeed “changing your place brings about a change of luck.” A place means a new level a person ascends to, a new desire. If we rise to a new level each time, then our luck certainly changes. Luck or destiny refers to the Lights that drip on the souls from Dikna of Arich Anpin, from the upper part of the head of Atzilut. So these Lights are certainly new for us. I do hope that now everything that we expect to see in this life will soon be fulfilled: the revelation of the Creator in the connection between us!
