Material Events And Spiritual Roots

937Comment: The great Kabbalist ARI wrote that in the future all holidays will be canceled except for Purim.

My Response: All holidays speak of intermediate spiritual states on the path of correction from pure egoism to complete altruism, full of love, and therefore the last state will not be canceled. This is Purim.

Question: How did people write the “Scroll of Esther”?

Answer: They were in this state spiritually.

Comment: But the scroll is written like a children’s story.

My Response: It only seems to us that way.

Question: It is clear that there is some depth but if you look at it with simple eyes, it says that the feast lasted a hundred and eighty days. How can this be?

Answer: Why not? They did not sit at the table all day. The leaders of all subordinate states gathered, discussed together, studied something, watched dances, went hunting, and dined. This is all called a feast.

Behind all this, there are spiritual states, that is why they described it.

Question: Did they take the events of our world as a basis?

Answer: Yes. The fact is that any event in our world has its root in the spiritual world. Thus, when describing special events, they pointed to their roots. They still do today. Therefore, we know that this is how it happened, and this is how it should be.

In The Name Of Connection

959Question: It is said that all wars for connection are fought for us by the Creator, the upper force of nature. How does it work?

Answer: Indeed, we have no strength. There is only the desire for this to happen. To the extent that we want to rise above our egoistic nature and connect with each other, we awaken the upper force of nature, which performs these actions and connects the opposing forces into one positive force. This is how it works.

Comment: Wars stimulate technological progress, but they do not contribute to the internal development of people.

My Response: They extend the time for our advancement. Progress only delays us at the corporeal level and does not allow us to rise to the spiritual level.

Question: What is “holy war”?

Answer: The holy war is a war in the name of connection, for the sake of the triumph of love between people.

Question: Should a Kabbalist justify world wars?

Answer: One cannot justify a war itself, but its purpose if it is necessary and comes from within nature, then yes.

Enjoying Not For My Own Sake

533.01Question: Suppose I understand that the Creator is putting me through different trials. This is felt as pleasure in the group, which means that I see that I had to undergo the trial in order to feel the power of the connection between us.

Do I simply enjoy this afterward or can I do something else for the sake of the society, for the sake of our correction?

Answer: I have never learned in the wisdom of Kabbalah about a state in which I enjoy for my own sake and by that bring the society pleasure. There is no such thing.

Do you want to positively bestow unto the society this way so that it will also connect to the Creator and enjoy Him? If this is what you think and if this is the only thought that manages you and not your personal feelings, you are on the right track.

How Can We Make Life Easier—Seven Recommendations

563Comment: Seven recommendations have been given for a person to make their life easier. One is: “The ability to wait is the best thing that you can teach a person.”

My Response: If it is not spiritual work, then yes; but if it is spiritual work, then no. We must advance non-stop along the spiritual path.

Comment: “The first step is only the beginning,” which means that having made this step, you are already halfway to victory.

My Response: The first step is not halfway to victory, but it is still a start. If it is the beginning of a victory, it will be possible to see it later on.

Question: Is it a sign that you are advancing if it is difficult?

Answer: I don’t think that difficulty is a sign of advancing correctly. No.

The sign of correct advancement is that we know how to connect all problems, information, data, and the contrasts to one unique whole to our root toward which we are moving, and where we all complement each other and connect perfectly into one unique whole picture.

Comment: “Break off the chains that bind your thoughts and then break off the chains that bind your body.” Sometimes we are stuck in the same place because our thoughts don’t allow us to advance and we need to get rid of negative thoughts that stop us and invoke fear.

My Response: We move by both negative and positive thoughts. It is like a wheel, part of which moves forward while the other part moves backward.

Comment: “Tranquility is the key to success.” When we are calm, we can do much more than when we are upset.

My Response: No. All of the wisdom of Kabbalah is built on contradictions, on a combination of contradictions. We need to be calm in full infinite motion and not any other way. We cannot be calm and succumb to fate and the flow of life wherever it carries us.

Those are methods of the East and they do not include the left line. So, I cannot compare them to the wisdom of Kabbalah and interpret them in any way.

Comment: “Condemnation is darkness for a person.” We should never humiliate or insult one’s personality. The only thing we can do is to condemn someone for his actions but not the person himself.

My Response: We should not condemn anyone, no one at all. You should correct yourself, and by correcting yourself, you correct the world in a way that there will no longer be anyone who will condemn you.

Comment: “Believing that you are right is a limitation.”

My Response: You can believe that you are right only when what you do is strengthened by the upper reason, by the masses, and not by you. When you follow the masses and reveal the Creator in the connection between you, you find the truth. But the truth cannot be according to the way of an individual.

In order to find your way in life you must have nine other friends so that in a ten you will be able to create a mini system, a mini-society in which, like in a lab, you will be able to plan in absolute accuracy all of nature, all of humanity, all the worlds between you.

You will create a kind of a magic ball of your ten desires and intentions, and in it you will be able to see all the universes, all the worlds, everything there is in them, and the Creator, and then by working on this model you will clearly understand who you are, where and how you are advancing.

Choosing The Path Of Correction

272Purim comes from the word “Pur” (fate or lot.)

That is, the lot is cast as if determining who will lead humanity to a good, absolute, final, and mandatory state. Or humanity will do it itself consciously, and then its path will be short, comfortable, and suitable for advanced humanity. Or it will be a path of terrible blows inflicted by the force of nature, terrible states and wars.

Either we attract the good force and it develops us or the evil force automatically acts in nature, as it is written: “I have created the evil inclination; I have created the Torah as a spice”; it constantly pushes us and still carries us forward.

A Ten And A Teacher

942Question: During the lesson, do we first need to internally connect to the teacher or to the ten, or does it have to happen simultaneously?

Answer: You need to connect to the ten so that you and the ten are one whole, and then you can listen to the teacher and implement in the ten what he says.

The ten is the main thing, but in order to know what to do in the ten, we need a teacher.

The Four Languages Of Kabbalah

137There are four languages in Kabbalah that can be used to describe the effect of the light on us and our reaction to it.

The language of the Talmud is a judicial, legal language.

The language of the TANAKH (Torah, Prophets, Holy Scriptures) is a narrative, literary language, the language of the novel.

The language of Hagadot (legends) is a very capacious, interesting language, but at the same time it is very incomprehensible.

The language of Kabbalah is a clear, purely mathematical language of the Sefirot and Partzufim, in which the forces are linked with each other and affect each other. It is accompanied by graphs, drawings, etc.

In accordance with this, there are four types of souls, each of which is close to one or another language. Naturally, all souls understand them based on their spiritual root. But, in the end, as they develop, they see that all languages are included in each other. And when the souls reach their common development, then all languages are combined into one.

Each person develops in his own style. For example, especially at the beginning of my journey I was closest to the language of Kabbalah, a clear physical and mathematical language with drawings, gradations, and definitions. Scientific language was the most reliable for me.

And then comes the language of feelings, a narrative language, like in the TANAKH: Torah, Prophets, and Holy Scriptures. It is a literary language on which you overlay your impressions.

Then the judicial-legal language joins it, when you are already talking about the fact that there is a measure of mercy and judgment that governs a person like two reins.

And then comes the language of legends, the most difficult, confusing, and allegorical, with hints. But on the other hand, in these legends, each word expresses some kind of tremendous impression. And when you become involved in it, that is, you reach the spiritual level of the author, you simply become involved in the fairy tale.

This is reality, but it is so capacious, rich, and impressive, just a fairy tale!

Precious Flower

935The place for the revelation of the Creator in our time, in our generation called the last generation, appears only in mutual guarantee (Arvut). Mutual guarantee is our spiritual vessel. The revelation of the Creator, the entry into the upper world, our entire spiritual existence is implemented only within mutual guarantee.

There is a special force in mutual guarantee. By coming out of myself and being included in the friends, I reveal my soul. It does not exist inside me, and therefore, the upper light cannot enter and correct me. It can only help me integrate with the friends and find the Creator there. That is, my soul is in the friends.

In fact, this is obvious if you look at the spiritual structure. If I am Malchut in the spiritual vessel of the ten Sefirot, then my friends are the nine upper Sefirot. It turns out that when I incorporate with them, I receive the qualities of bestowal from them. It is in this form that I complete my spiritual vessel that was in the friends, and through mutual guarantee each of us helps the other to acquire the qualities of bestowal and be ready for the revelation of the Creator.

Therefore, without implementing mutual guarantee, we will not be able to take a single step on the spiritual path. Only by incorporating with each other, getting closer to each other, connecting and helping each other, do we attract the reforming light and invite the Creator to be revealed in us. This desire alone, to internally connect with each other, is sufficient to raise us from corporality to spirituality.

It is impossible to draw the reforming light alone; I have nowhere to draw it into. I must be incorporated in my friends and then I can draw the light inside this incorporation so that the reforming light would return it to its source. In this way, we receive the spiritual vessel and begin to enter the upper world.

The mutual guarantee is a very deep concept. All spiritual laws proceed from carrying out mutual guarantee. Everything written and said by the Kabbalists comes from what they have attained within mutual guarantee. All of reality is divided in two: outside of the mutual guarantee is corporeality and inside the mutual guarantee is spirituality.

In fact, mutual guarantee is the only thing we need because it is the only action that brings the broken vessel of Adam HaRishon back to correction. Through our yearning to return this desire to connection and unity above egoism and all the disturbances, and through the request to the Creator to help us in this, we reach correction.

We must make sure that the friends reveal the true spiritual deficiency and that the ten connects in both good and bad states. Everyone should feel that they have friends who are ready to do anything for them.

The mutual guarantee is like a flower that needs our constant care in order to grow. After all, this is the very vessel in which the Creator will be revealed, our desires that have reached the correct connection grew and are now revealed because of our common screen. The inner force that holds our desires together and directs them correctly is called mutual guarantee.
