Receive the Spiritual Component

232.05Question: What is this force that will hold us and only strengthen us rather than weaken us?

Answer: It is the force of the Creator. There is nothing else!

There are only two forces in the world: the positive, bestowing and filling force of the Creator, and the negative, receiving and demanding force of creation.

We must exist between these two forces. That is, I must separate myself from the negative (receiving) force, position myself before the positive (bestowing) force, and create within myself a mechanism, a system, composed of the negative force, the desire to receive, and the positive force, the intention to bestow.

I take the negative force from my nature, but make a restriction on it and treat it as something completely external.

For example, I take 10 grams of the desire to receive from my nature and 10 grams of the intention to bestow from the Creator, combine them, and I get a spiritual component—receiving for the sake of bestowing. This is our embryo. And this is how we will develop.

Mutual Guarantee and Support

943Question: Can we reach mutual guarantee (Arvut) before or after impregnation (Ibur)?

Answer: Arvut is a necessary condition for the conception of the embryo but specifically in conditions in which we currently find ourselves.

At every moment we are in different states and we must work on nullifying ourselves before our friends and connecting with others in mutual support. This state is called mutual guarantee (Arvut), meaning mutual guarantee and mutual support.

Obstacles Help in Advancement

507.03Question: External influences often unsettle us. How can we keep from these hindrances and enter the lessons with even greater effort?

Answer: The fact is, there is nothing that would unsettle us. On the contrary, we need to look at these actions as extra help because we are given an additional measure of egoism. It seems that it pushes us further back, but in reality this is only so we would unite even more with each other and with the Creator above it.

Therefore, we cannot consider everything that happens to us as obstacles. These are the interferences we rise above. Just as at school we were given all kinds of tasks that needed to be solved, so it is here. Of course, we must make efforts to solve these problems, cling to what separates us, repels us, rejects us, and distances us, but still look at it positively.

Then, we will have a common aspiration forward. Then we will always be happy, no matter the problems.

Question: So the strengthening with which we must enter the lesson is to overcome the obstacles?

Answer: What else is there to rise above if not obstacles? Therefore, whoever the Creator wishes to bring closer faster is given greater obstacles.

Question: How can we keep holding on if we are being pushed away from each other more and more and need to make maximum effort?

Answer: It seems to you that you are holding on to an old place. You are rising all the time.

At the same time, you need to constantly make internal efforts, do not fall behind, do not distance yourself from your friends, from your tens, from the topic of the lesson. Always feel like you are together.

After all, our task is to reveal ourselves as being in the same connection, in the same field, in the same system called the soul.

Rise above “Idols”

270The wisdom of Kabbalah deals with elevating a person from idol worshipping. It does not matter what or who is considered an idol. These idols can be more than just statues, amulets, or certain beliefs; they encompass our entire lives that we worship and consider important.

The revelation of the Creator—the single force of nature that governs everything—and connection with it, meaning attaining an upper level, is not deemed important.

Consider how television, radio, and media are filled with various soothsayers, and how the mass media operates, what people perceive, what they think, and even how we teach all sciences. Science today is becoming semi-mystical even though it is considered a science. Look at the hypotheses, theories, and conjectures presented by scholars!

We are returning to the same old circles, to these idols, because we have completely lost our orientation. Therefore, Kabbalah reveals itself and says: “We must return to the one nature.”

Our current crisis indicates that globalization and unity in nature are its main characteristics. One, unified, unique, and integrated—this is the core, the source of all existence.

Therefore, the more we strive for unification, for the understanding of unity, for understanding all the numerous manifestations in nature as merely one attribute, the Creator, the faster we will come to understand the truth and reach a better state.

Is Our Whole Life Just a Dream?

928Igal writes:

I wake up in cold sweat. I was 100% sure it was really happening to me, but it was a dream. If that is the case, maybe I am still dreaming? Maybe this whole life of mine is a dream? My wife, the children, my job, and the war—all a dream? If that is the case, I want to wake up. I am not happy with too many things in this dream.

My Response: His fears overwhelm him.

Question: His fears are overwhelming. He does not like this dream. Here he asks, “After all, is our life a dream or not?”

Answer: Our life is a dream but actually on a different level, meaning, not at the level of suffering or not-suffering, but at the level of existence in general. We do not understand or feel this world correctly.

Therefore you can call it some kind of dream. But, in general, we can get rid of this dream and wake up.

Question: So he asks: “How do I wake up?”

Answer: How? This is the method of Kabbalah.

Question: He continues: “When I wake up, will reality be better or worse?”

Answer: Reality itself may not change. You, your outlook, and your feelings will change, for the better.

Question: Does this mean I woke up?

Answer: Yes.

Question: So there could be the same war in reality, you say?

Answer: It does not matter.

Question: What does it mean if there is a war and I wake up? What are my feelings? The reality is that there is a war.

Answer: On one hand, you see a war going on, people are killing, dying, and so on. But on the other hand, in this you see the necessary action of armies, nations, and so on, which enter into such relationships with each other. And in the end, it leads to the best outcome.

Question: So, I see that no matter what happens, everything leads to the best outcome. Is this called waking up?

Answer: Yes.

Question: What is the best in this case?

Answer: The best is closeness with the Creator.

Comment: You are unshakeable in this.

My Response: Yes, there is nothing to add here.

Question: Another question from him: “Could it be that I am sure I woke up, but it turns out to be a dream again? And so on endlessly.”

Answer: Yes. So what? How do you know if you are awake or not?

Comment: This is the question: how will I know that I am awake?

My Response: There is no way to know.

Question: Is this how we are destined to live?

Answer: No, we are not destined to live like that at all. But there are states called reincarnations when we exist this way.

Question: From dream to dream, from dream to dream?

Answer: Yes, some such actions. But in fact, we come completely out of the boundaries of our world. And then we see it from the outside.

Question: So what do we see?

Answer: We see that everything is controlled by a single Creator, and we are around Him.

Question: What kind of force is the Creator?

Answer: It is a force that by gradually teaching us, leads us to a state of complete harmony.

Question: And the last question: “Is it better to wake up or not?”

Answer: We must wake up in order to achieve a more and more true state and so that all dreams, fantasies, and everything else would disappear from our world.

Then we would not fight, we would not exchange bad words, bad deeds, or bad actions.

Question: Do you mean in the relations between us?

Answer: Yes.

Death Is Not the End but a New Birth?

294.4 Igor asks:

You once said that the hour of death is not the hour of death but a new birth. How should we take this? I do not believe in afterlife. So what is it about?

Answer: It does not depend on you whether you believe it or not. It is just the beginning of a new cycle.

Question: When you say “the hour of death,” what does it mean for Igor?

Answer: You part ways with this life, with what you have made of it, how you have lived it, and move on to the next cycle.

Question: Does that mean somewhere a child suddenly screams, some boy is born, and so on?

Answer: No.

Question: Then what does new birth mean to you?

Answer: A new birth is, of course, the act of a child being born. But generally, it is the beginning of attaining the upper world and the Creator by what is called man.

Question: Is the hour of death necessarily my physical death, or is it not necessarily so?

Answer: No, not necessarily. It means everything old dies, all that I’ve lived through, all that I considered important.

Question: Can something be born that I did not consider important?

Answer: Naturally, in the next stage.

Question: Can you tell me what I did not consider important in my past life?

Answer: Typically, it is connections with people, love, and relationship with the Creator.

Question: Even though I always talked about love?

Answer: Regardless.

Question: When you say that another love arises, what kind of “other” love is it?

Answer: It is more natural, closer, one that cannot be explained otherwise than simply by opening your heart.

When Will the Rich Feel Ashamed?

589.02Arina asks:

Why are people not ashamed today to be wealthy and even flaunt it; they build palaces, villas, buy diamonds, cars, and do all this ostentatiously? How can people have a clear conscience when there is so much poverty and sorrow around?

Answer: It has always been this way, at all times. There are those who hide it. There are those who show it.

Question: So you do not think this is indicative of the present time?

Answer: Yes, today of course people are not ashamed of anything.

Question: Why did this happen? Why is one not concerned that someone has nothing to eat while he builds…?

Answer: It is a lack of upbringing, actually. Great people, though they may have immense wealth are not focused on that; what matters to them is inner wealth.

Question: Please tell me, what kind of upbringing should there be to address all this?

Answer: A person should be taught, first of all, to be content with their destiny, whatever it may be.

Second, to not consider themselves above others in wealth, knowledge, or anything else. Only in wisdom concerning the Creator, in modesty. That is the main thing.

Question: Can this be cultivated in someone?

Answer: It can.

Question: Is this not a natural quality?

Answer: No, this can be cultivated, and it must be cultivated.

Question: In principle, will a normal society, even let’s say the society of the future, follow such upbringing?

Answer: Yes. People will not flaunt their cars, houses, and wealth.

Question: So this will not be so valuable to a person?

Answer: It will say a lot, that perhaps he has earned something, but in principle, it will not be as important to a person.

Comment: You said that it is important for a person not to look at either the rich or the poor, but at his own destiny—this is my destiny.

Answer: He should focus on his connection with the Creator—that is what he should look at. A person will only delve deeper into himself: me and the Creator.

Contribute Your Part to Connection

938.07If several individuals come together with the force that it is worthwhile to abandon self-love, but without the sufficient power and importance of bestowal to become independent, without outside help (Rabash, Article, “Love of Friends -2”).

That is how we feel in the ten: it seems that there are some desires and some motives, but there is no strength, conviction, or intention to annul ourselves before our friends.

All have at least the potential love of the Creator.

They are drawn to this and would like to acquire it. Not by any means, but they would still like to. In general, there is a desire, but it is weak.

Though they cannot keep it in practice, then by each joining the society and annulling oneself before it, they become one body.

That is the most important thing. Neither of us has the strength nor the desire to annul ourselves before the Creator. We cannot do this because we were created unable to do it.

Therefore, if the same ten gathers, and other tens around it—after all, we are not alone, there are many of us—and thus we unite, then each of us contributes his part, his little strength, a little desire to this union.

In this case, our desires add up together, and we become like one person with great force who can invoke the qualities of the Creator.
