Question: The sages say that stars have no power over Israel. Does it mean that a person engaged in spirituality gets out of the material system?

Answer: Stars are just signs of governance from above. When we connect with each other, we rise above the stars. Stars are an inanimate degree, which is controlled by us, the same as the vegetative and animate degrees.

By becoming similar to the Creator, we even go beyond the boundaries of the Creator. As it is written, “My sons have defeated me.” That is, in our governance, we rise even higher than His control of us. This is the highest level.
