Good Desires

laitman_294.4Question: Everything is manifested through a desire. The sick want to recover, but they cannot. The poor want to be rich, but they are unsuccessful. What does it mean “to desire”?

Answer: It means that I want to feel the fulfillment of what I now feel as a deficiency.

Question: Which desires come true?

Answer: All good desires come to fruition. These include desires that cause no harm to anybody and also that can be used to satisfy others in a positive way.

The rest of the desires are needed only to teach us to understand what good desires mean.

New Life 1052 – Failures In Life, Part 1
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

When a person has a true, personal goal for which he is living, he is happy at every moment, even through related disturbances because his goal acts like a kind of North Star and directs and protects him along the way. On the way toward the goal, failures or crises are necessary in order to clarify the process of advancement and strengthen the person for eventual success. When a sensation of failure comes, a strong feeling of bitterness is awakened in a person and he therefore requires a supportive environment. Women cope with failure like a flexible branch whereas men experience failure like rigid iron. Women, therefore, must give their men a sense of security and men must protect their wives and be faithful to them.

Affecting The Program of the Creator

laitman_214Question: Suppose there is an earthquake somewhere and a war somewhere else. Who determines it? How does it happen?

Answer: There is one single force that permeates the whole world. It does it all. It reacts to everything, including all our movements. This force, called Shechina (Divinity), constantly makes a clear calculation based on our actions and reactions on how to lead us to full compliance with it in the most optimal way.

Question: What is the Kabbalist’s partnership with the Creator about? Can he somehow change these actions?

Answer: By his actions, a Kabbalist absolutely consciously affects the program of the Creator, constantly improving it. He draws the whole world after him. Then, the Creator changes His governance from unsatisfactory to good.
