Sensitivity To The Light

laitman_938.05Question: What is sensitivity to the Light, what does it depend on, and how can it be developed?

Answer: Sensitivity to the Light depends on how much a person can suppress his dislike of others and connect with his friends coercively, against his desire.

According to this effort, he begins to develop sensitivity to the Light.

In general, we do not want to get closer to our friends. But to the extent that each of us still tries to do this, we develop sensitivity to the Light within ourselves, sensitivity to the quality of bestowal, love, and connection.

Can A Heartless Person Have A Soul?

Laitman_049.01Question: Can a person who has a soul in the Kabbalistic sense be heartless or unscrupulous by human standards?

Answer: Only a person who has a connection with the common soul has a soul. His qualities extend beyond the limits of egoism, which absorbs everything into itself. And he, on the other hand, wants to give, to disseminate. Thus, he is connected with the common soul by a reciprocal mutual connection.

Question: But can he appear to be shameless and heartless on the outside?

Answer: No, because he is connected with the common soul. But in the eyes of egoists, he can appear quite odd, and maybe even rude, because he does not satisfy their petty egotistical notions.

New Life #77 – Health And Illness

New Life #77 – Health And Illness
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

Illness stems from an imbalance in the body’s systems, which is caused by an imbalance in society, which is caused by an imbalance with nature. In other words, egoistic relationships destroy the overall health within the system in which we are all connected. Health or balance, on the other hand, is equal to the degree of a person’s connection to the general and integral system of nature. In order to create a healthy environment in which everyone can thrive, we need to learn how to communicate with each other, like cells in a body. We can only be healthy together!
