Bibi UN Speech

Dr. Michael LaitmanFrom My Facebook Page Michael Laitman 9/29/18

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the UN General Assembly was impressive. The rhetorical talent, the perfect English, and the ability to communicate complex messages all stand to his favor. As much as one may criticize him, he fulfills his role in representing the state of Israel in the world with great dedication.

And Bibi is not the only one who deserves credit. Behind him are mighty forces and brilliant minds who serve the Israeli intelligence and security, geniuses who turn Israel into a technological superpower, talented researchers and entrepreneurs who have brought about tremendous developments in the fields of water, agriculture, cyber, health and the list goes on.

But even when Netanyahu exposed the secret nuclear site in Tehran, the precision missile factories in Beirut, the fact that Iran never abandoned its nuclear weapons program, it did not leave the desired impression. The world is already beginning to take apart his outspoken revelations by claiming that the facilities contain documents and not missiles.

“I am the son of a historian,” Netanyahu declared during his UN speech, directing his words to European leaders who promised to give Iran more money. “I ask it not merely as historian’s son, as a Jew, as a citizen of the world, as someone who lived through the 20th century: Have these European leaders learned nothing from history? Will they ever wake up?”

With all due respect to history as represented by historians, there are also Kabbalists in mankind – a handful of people with spiritual attainment who see a deeper picture of reality.

The Kabbalists point to a clear trend in the attitude of the nations of the world toward Israel. They expect a wave of anti-Semitism to sweep all Jews around the world, hatred that will rise to new heights – both toward the Jews and the State of Israel.

When hatred gets out of proportion, no nation will need to justify its negative and hostile attitude towards Israel. Nations may even be proud of their despicable acts, just as it happened in the 1930s, and no leader will be able to lower the flames. Not even Trump.

Kabbalah is the only wisdom that explains the irrational hatred towards Jews. It describes the phenomenon of anti-Semitism as a law that stems from the nature of reality, and takes on a new face in every generation. Rather than trying to deny it, we have to learn how it serves the purpose of Creation.

According to Kabbalists, the Jewish people have a unique attribute, the potential to bring unity to all of mankind. Once they learn how to realize this potential, they will not only neutral anti-Semitism, but also enable the whole of humanity to rise above the human ego and discover a life of social harmony.

This was Abraham’s unprecedented discovery: when human beings make a common effort to build positive relationships above their inherent egotism, a new spiritual space opens up between them, where they can sense the wholeness and harmony of nature. This is the true meaning of “Love thy neighbor as thyself” and it is the essence of the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Am Yisrael” – the people of Israel – started from a group of Kabbalists who gathered around Abraham in ancient Babylon some 4,000 years ago. They were, in fact, representatives of the various tribes and nations that existed back then. Therefore, the Jewish people acts like a central “hub” within humanity, designed to enable global unity across all of mankind.

Nature is a globally integrated system that binds together all people in total interdependence. The connections are hidden, yet they are stable and intricate. The phenomenon of anti-Semitism arises when the people of Israel fail to fulfill their role in the system – abandoning their unity, social solidarity, and positive connection. In this respect, it is sad to see that we haven’t learned our lesson from history.

A relationship of hatred among us, Jews, determines the hatred of the world toward us. Humanity does not hate Israel by choice. Even without their awareness, the hatred that erupts from the nations of the world is destined to motivate the Jews to realize their spiritual purpose.

Today’s Iran merely plays the leading role in the international anti-Israeli movement. Speech after speech, diagram after diagram, another discovery of a nuclear facility – and the world’s attitude toward Israel does not change.

Subconsciously, humanity expects us to be more than a technological superpower. They expect us to be a spiritual superpower, because when the people of Israel activate their spiritual unity, they enable a life of peace and happiness for everyone.

This is the kind of spirit that humanity is waiting for, along with a practical work plan to follow. Ultimately, only this action will generate waves of sympathy and affection among the nations toward Israel.

New Life #76 – Money And Connection In The Family

New Life #76 – Money And Connection In The Family
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

All the problems and financial pressures that occur in families are meant to bring us to connection with one another. Family members should respond to negativity by uniting the same way a country does when a foreign army attacks. The problems will disappear if the family connects together! We can learn to heal relationships through conversation, workshops, games, and activities that create mutual responsibility.

What Gives Strength To A Desire?

laitman_567.04Question: What awakens a desire? For a Kabbalist, what determines if it will be realized and in what form?

Answer: Desires are awakened by the upper Light, or the Creator who acts upon us with greater or lesser intensity. Accordingly, more or fewer desires appear in me.

Desire is common, but the light itself, acting on us, outlines in each of us the desires of the inanimate, plant, animal, and human levels. I then begin to feel myself on all these levels.

This includes every kind of desire, from the lowest to the highest, because everything comes from the same source.

Question: What gives strength to a desire?

Answer: The intensity of the Light that descends upon it.

Yom Kippur: Disclosure Of Desires That Need Correction

laitman_294.2The earthly calendar with its holidays does not quite reflect what is happening in the spiritual world. The state called “Yom Kippur” can be realized on Hanukkah or Purim, and Passover, the exodus from Egypt, can happen at any moment. In our world, everything is determined by a common inanimate system, but in spirituality, everything depends on a person, on his individual development. Therefore, it is quite possible that one of us is in the state of Purim, another one is in the state of Pesach, and still another is in an ordinary weekday or the ninth of Av.

Spiritual states refer to the unification of people until the complete restoration of the common system of the first man, Adam. This system was shattered and we need to reassemble it. Gradually, all its broken connections are revealed, all the severity of the shattering that penetrated to the very depths of nature.

Yom Kippur is a harsh state. However, it is very important for correction because on this day the lack of connection between us is revealed, the lack of faith, the lack of the feeling of the Creator. Also, the correction of this day is: “Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God,” that is, feeling the upper force as yourself. By connecting with each other, we allow the Creator to be revealed between us and we adhere with Him.

Yom Kippur is the disclosure of all the desires that need correction. The main thing is to reveal one’s evil, because the correction will already be fulfilled by the upper Light. Our task is to realize our own evil, to hate it, and to want to get out of it. And the Creator will complete this work for us.1

All the sins occur only for one reason: the absence of the feeling of the Creator. One can even say that the absence of the feeling of the Creator is the main crime.2

New Life #75 – Money And Family

New Life #75 – Money And Family
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

Economic distress can be a lever for connection within the family, and from family connection to connection to save humanity.

Material pleasures dissipate whereas emotional satisfaction within a family lasts. Economic hardship will force people to connect with family members as in the past, but this time they will choose to connect out of a growing awareness of the importance and value of connection within families and society at large. People will learn how to introduce warmth and connection in their families through integral education and workshops. No one will want to be alone any more.

Spiritual Schizophrenia

laitman_294.4Question from Facebook: Forgive me, but I have a feeling that you are engaged in schizophrenia and call it “faith above reason.” How is it possible to be in this world and see what I see, and at the same time to be in the other world and see what I do not see?

Answer: Schizophrenia is when I see something else besides this world.

We are talking about dividing the perception of everything within me into two parts: things that are happening within me and the force that projects, creates, and arranges all this within me, that is, plays with me. I see the world divided into two parts: the internal and the external, or the lower and the upper.

I am also divided into those two parts and therefore from within myself I see this world as such. One of these parts is my egoistic part, the desire to receive. The second, altruistic part, created by me as a result of studying Kabbalah, is the desire to bring contentment, to give to someone outside of me, through all the creatures, to the Creator. I consist of these two parts.

Comment: Everyone is confused by your statement that while we are on the first level, we are also on the second level.

My Comment: Certainly. This is written in all Kabbalistic books, starting from Adam, meaning almost six thousand years ago. So, this “disease” is neglected and must be investigated.

I invite everybody to explore it and to discover that we are not spiritual schizophrenics, that we are so ill because we are only in one world—ours, the worst one. Not knowing the upper world, its purpose, the forces that control us, where they lead us, and what they want from us, we, like blind kittens, suffer without any subsequent desirable states.

Question: Is it also because we deny the second level?

Answer: Yes. Do not reject it immediately at its root. We should study and see how realistic this is.

Blitz Of Kabbalah Tips – 4/15/18, Part 1

laitman_963.4Question: Must I recognize the system of supervision and the reason for reward and punishment?

Answer: Certainly. This is what we discover in the wisdom of Kabbalah. Without knowing this system and its implementation, we cannot attain the
end of correction.

Question: What is the material the soul is built from?

Answer: The material of the soul is built from the desire to receive. It is all that the Creator created. The Creator’s quality is bestowal and the created being’s quality is reception.

Question: If the entire world, the others, and the Creator are inside me, does this mean that I am always working for my own sake?

Answer: That’s right.

Question: How can a soul be both simultaneously like a creature and like a part of the Creator?

Answer: The soul can be a part of the Creator within the creature.

Question: What is the best food for the soul? How often do you need to “feed” it so that it will grow to be healthy and strong?

Answer: We constantly need to “feed” the soul, and this is implemented only through greater and greater closeness to the Creator and unity with others.

Question: Are there mountains in spirituality?

Answer: Yes, doubts and obstacles are all called “mountains” in spirituality.

Question: Is there no good or evil, men or women, but a combination of characteristics in a soul that is equal to the Creator?

Answer: In our world we say that life is a manner of existence of protein matter. Everything is just protein and various forms of its existence. In contrast to this, in the wisdom of Kabbalah we come to a more universal and common denominator.

Question: What is the difference between a person who feels the Creator within himself and a person who feels the Creator from the outside? Is the difference that one receives without an intention and the other receives in order to give contentment to the Creator?

Answer: No. There is Ohr Makif (Surrounding Light) and Ohr Pnimi (Inner Light). Therefore, everything is perceived in a this form like this. But, in principle, everything should be felt as the inner Light that fills you. This will happen gradually.

Question: Today each one of us can travel the world. Can a Kabbalist also travel within his inner desires?

Answer: A Kabbalist, by traveling in his desires, travels not only in this world, but also in all the worlds.
