My Thoughts On Twitter 8/11/18

Dr Michael Laitman Twitter

Since WW II world order’s been guaranteed by the USA, who’s exiting. EU must decide its own fate, but its will and strength don’t fit EU’s desire to assert itself; it’s angry, but forced to submit to USA. Chinese, Russian, US leaders are nationalists, so military power is vital to them

Order of actions:
-Restriction: stop thinking about myself and what I feel.
-I care about what’s happening to the group and not to me, like a mother cares for her baby.
-If I can rejoice for the group and the Creator, it means I am in faith above reason, bestowal above pleasure.

Passing The Line Between Life And Death

Laitman_137Question: Suicide is one of humanity’s problems. Every 40 seconds, someone in the world commits suicide (800,000 per year). In the US, the suicide rate has increased by 30% since 1999. Some celebrities who have recently committed suicide include Anthony Bourdain, the famous chef and TV presenter on CNN, and the younger sister of the Queen of the Netherlands. Can you explain this?

Answer: I can explain this as emptiness. It is an emptiness that crushes, tears, and does not let one sleep. Even drugs are ineffective at relieving it. A person simply feels as if he has no other options. We need to look at life correctly and start educating ourselves.

Question: What should a person come to?

Answer: To the meaning of life. One can understand the meaning of life when he crosses the boundary between life and death. Only when life is worth less for you than life itself can you correctly weigh up what to live for and rise above your egoism and egoistic life.

Question: Is it when I do not cling to it? When I do not hold on to every desire?

Answer: Not only do you not hold on, but you live by the fact that every minute you give up your egoism and rise above it. Every minute, you are above death, as if you are experiencing it. This is the separation from our world and the entrance into the upper world.

Remark: This is very hard.

Answer: It is not hard, it is a happy opportunity for us all.

Question: So, I should not value my egoistic life?

Answer: A person who wants to comprehend true existence has to despise this life and appreciate it only because it is a basis for building a higher life on it. And the higher life is than death, and when you die in an animal form every minute, you grow spiritually.

Growth in the spiritual form is life not for oneself, but for something outside oneself: for the sake of the Creator, for the sake of the system, for the sake of humanity, it does not matter what—the main thing is to get out of your “I.”

New Life #1028 – Building Peace Between Good And Evil, Part 1

New Life #1028 – Building Peace Between Good And Evil, Part 1
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

Summary

The world is whole and perfect exactly as it is now. Our perception of the world is distorted because we lack true connection with each other. We receive everything the Creator gives us incorrectly due to our egoistic nature. This evil nature cannot and should not be uprooted since there is no good without evil. Instead, it needs to be corrected in order to achieve balance, perfection, and peace. The wisdom of Kabbalah teaches us how to repair the nature of our root and become altruistic with the help of the Light. We learn to receive properly when we fill everything with the power of love.

Working With Kabbalistic Texts

laitman_526Question: Do Kabbalistic books affect a person if one reads them alone? Or do you need to read them with a group?

Answer: Read as you like, only it is desirable that these are real Kabbalistic books, for your level, and that you find yourself correctly in these books.

Question: What are the criteria for the correct study of the books?

Answer: Study the literature that is recommended to you in the Kabbalah courses in your community.

Question: Also, how do you work with books?

Answer: I have studied primary Kabbalistic sources in detail many times. There are even articles and letters that I have read a few hundred times, and every time I have found something new in them. Therefore, in Kabbalah, there are no sources that I would not have known and would not have worked through repeatedly, in the original language.

I read, underline, write out, compare, and look for specific similar material to somehow reveal it. This is the usual work of any researcher.

There are several variations of the work on primary sources. I often translate them, and if not, I start to abridge them, i.e., rewrite them in the original language, making the necessary adjustments.

The text that comes out is what I want to see now in my current state. Maybe next time, I will make a completely different summary from it.

Working on the texts, I can break them into paragraphs, give each paragraph a title, ask questions, give answers, etc. If required, I work through the text so that I am in it, and it is in me.
