Comment: The first of December is World AIDS Day. The HIV virus, which causes AIDS, was first discovered in 1981 and since then great efforts have been made to find a cure or a vaccination for this disease which is still incurable.

Answer: There are many such “dirty tricks” prepared for humanity to deal with.

When do diseases manifest? As soon as there are egoistic conflicts between us, when we use the egoism that has just been revealed in its most hateful forms, based on the resentment we feel toward each other, we are immediately shown a similar response.

This response descends from the spiritual level to the level of our mutual relations, to the corporeal level, and is revealed in the form of AIDS and many other infectious problems that spread throughout mankind. Suddenly diseases we thought were eradicated a long time ago emerge.

Question: Do you see a correlation between the problems that emerge and the egoistic evolution of humanity?

Answer: Yes, absolutely. I can’t say how exactly it will be revealed, but it is clear that if there is new egoism and we don’t correct in time, it leads to such outcomes on our level.

Question: Can we fight diseases with medication?

Answer: We can to a certain degree. We have to make great efforts and invest great resources to somehow mitigate the blow in the corporeal world, which on the spiritual level can be done at once.

One drop of medicine on the spiritual level operates almost immediately, whereas on the corporeal level, it involves spending billions of dollars. In any case, it is a violation of the balance of nature.

Torah, Deuteronomy 13:17: And you shall collect all its spoil into the midst of its open square, and burn with fire the city and all its spoil, completely, for the Lord, your God; and it shall be a heap of destruction forever, never to be rebuilt.

A person will never be able to take these intentions that have become egoistic in him and use them again. He must do everything in order to not return to them.

Question: What does it mean, “collect all its spoil into the midst of its open square, and burn with fire the city and all its spoil”?

Answer: The fact is that in a group engaged in spiritual work, the analysis revealing egoism and altruism becomes more and more evident and people see that all earlier intentions, which previously seemed to be good, proper, and aimed at unity with each other, are, in fact, egoistic.

Our joint desire is called a square or a city. And the phrase “and it shall be a heap of destruction forever, never to be rebuilt,” means never to return to the previous state. In this way we move forward to complete correction.

Which world views represents the Greek ideology in contrast to the Jewish world view? How will it help us understand the true reality if we understand them, and how is this related to the meaning of Hanukkah?

The Jewish people were educated to love others, to ascend above the egoism. They were on a spiritual height. Jewish ideology is totally different from any other ideology: the body in contrast to the soul.

Philosophy and science are also perceived in our ego so they are considered earthly. We perceive the world by absorbing it and we have developed this perception into science. For everything beyond this there is mythology.

In Judaism it is the opposite: a person does not perceive internally, inside himself,  but exits himself in love and bestowal.

We naturally perceive the world through a filter of “what do I gain from this.” And we can transcend that. When we change our approach to reality, we perceive a wide reality that is whole and eternal.

This is what the Macabbees fought for. Today we all perceive the world according to the Greek approach, and the time has come for an upgrade.

Question: These are just some of the cities that were victims of terrorism in the year 2016: Brussels, Istanbul, Orlando, Nice, Munich, Tel-Aviv, Berlin, and Zurich. There no longer remain places on the face of the Earth where you can feel completely safe.

The new faces of terrorism: trucks crashing into crowds, as happened in Nice and in Berlin, child-terrorists—12-year-old children blowing themselves up, not to mention the tragedy that is happening in Syria and Iraq. Where are we headed, a world of terrorism?

Answer: I would not call this terrorism but a third world war that is developing in this form. We imagine war as battles between armies, but today we try not to bring the situation to this point because this would signify the end of our planet.

So, war has taken on a new form: local military operations and terrorism. This is the way that humanity discharges excess tension and aggression. It used to be that nations would go to war against each other; today the world is becoming integral, everything has become so mixed together that it impossible to determine who is against whom with certainty.

Question: What awaits us in 2017?

Answer: I think that in 2017 humanity will unite more against terrorism: England, Germany, all of Europe as a whole, Russia, and the United States will find a common language between them for combatting terrorism. Terrorism will be the reason that will help them to unite.

Question: In one of his letters, Baal HaSulam wrote that if people discovered the smallest spiritual pleasure, they would agree to cut off their own hands and feet seven times a day just so that they would be able to feel it. Why?

Answer: This is just a figurative expression. He means that the slightest spiritual pleasure cannot be compared to the greatest pleasure in this world because all earthly states are limited.Spiritual pleasure has no limit.

This is not quantitative pleasure that we have in our world. Spiritual delights come in an unlimited amount volume and so they cannot be measured by any methods, frameworks, or units of our world.

We can only feel them after several years of studying the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Question: Why was it necessary to create this spiritual project, Adam HaRishon (the First Man)? Did the Creator have a desire to create something? Could He not have done this?

Answer: We cannot talk about what was before the beginning of creation or about what will be after its end. We are in a particular stage on the way between the beginning of creation, which began around 14 billion years ago, and its end. What remains for us is to exist here for only a short period to become corrected. We have only 223 years left.

During this period, we must reach the end of correction, and with this everything will end.

We don’t know what happened before the beginning of creation because the concept of time didn’t exist. We also don’t know what will happen after the end of correction because there will be no concept of time. The concept of time exists only in the framework of this world, from start to finish. The end of correction is the end of the correction of the comprehensive egoism.

We don’t know why Adam HaRishon was created. It is said that the reason for the creation of the creature is to give him enjoyment and pleasure. But why does someone have to be created to give him enjoyment and pleasure? Logic dictates that it would be easier not to create; not to create and not to give pleasure. We don’t know the reason. We will find this out when we reach the final state when all our tools of perception will be fully corrected, when from our enormous egoism we fully create a single unified system called Adam. Then from this comprehensive and ideal system, which is fully in the image of the Creator, we will discover how He created everything in the beginning and why He created such an end.

Since 1995, the wisdom of Kabbalah was placed in our hands. So now we can hasten the process by giving our personal effort and we won’t have to wait another 223 years.

If we bring the entire system into balance, resembling and being equivalent to the Creator, everything will be finished. If we don’t invest effort, then we will continue to go in the way of suffering until the end of 6,000 years.
