My Comment: The concept of the universality of any unity in which each ceases to feel himself but feels the collective whole is not new. Only it slips away from us who look at everything through our narrow egoism. Today, nature tells us the way to integrality because it is manifested so before us.

Baal HaSulam, “Introduction to The Book of Zohar“, Item 23: It turns out that once dressed in a human body, it (the soul) generates needs and desires and ideas to satisfy its desire to bestow to the fullest, meaning to bestow contentment upon its Maker, according to the size of its desire.

Question: On one hand it says that we should be guided only by what we see, but on the other hand, we have to detach from the ordinary corporeal terms”body” and “soul,” so how we can integrate the two things?

Answer: I see the corporeal world in which I live now. We study about it in universities and not in Kabbalah lessons. We, on the other hand, study about something that is above that, the spiritual reality. It is not before my eyes, and I am supposed to acquire a new sight in order to see it. I don’t need corporeal eyes for that but spiritual ones.

Kabbalists tell us that just like the corporeal body, there is also a spiritual body, and it is bestowal. The life in it is the Light that fills it. The spiritual body is actually the Returning Light (Ohr Hozer) and we feel the body according to its measure.

I am attracted to bestowal upon others according to the level of the Returning Light, and bestowal upon the other is my soul. This is exactly where it is, in others, and not in the flesh that lives and dies. We need the flesh only for the time in which I have to annul my desire to receive. Then the need for the corporeal body disappears. When I attain the first spiritual level, I understand that it has nothing to do with the body. I was simply given such conditions in which I can exist before the revelation. This state is essential in order to enter the spiritual world. It’s the area where I fulfill the preconditions.

It’s as if I stand in front of a door and I am told: “You can enter only if you have a ticket. Don’t you have a ticket? So go to work and buy a ticket and then you can enter.” So I work in this world in order to buy a ticket for the spiritual reality and during the lessons we speak about what happens behind the door.

Question: So in what way are we different from the philosophers who seem to say the same thing?

Answer: First, we are right in that we don’t wish, like them, to indulge into fantasies like they do; we understand that we must actually feel and see what we speak about firsthand. This is a healthy approach that protects against making mistakes and delivers a clear scientific framework.

Philosophers are mistaken in the fact that they speak about things which they don’t feel that are beyond their perception and is devoid of any factual basis. And they are comfortable with this situation: first, because they are being paid for it and second, because they want to have something to do with “spirituality.”

In principle, a person reaches for a certain “spiritual bridgehead” but without working on himself. This is the reason that Kabbalists hate philosophy. There is a philosopher in each of us because we would also like to enter spirituality without effort and we love to bring up different unfounded theories.

At the same time, we have to explain everything: “Although I sometimes feel like philosophizing, it is merely my ego.” The truth is that we cannot actually discuss the spiritual world before we attain it, it is said: “We cannot know by name or word anything that we don’t attain.”

We reject the philosophical approach and hate the philosophers in us although it’s impossible to do it without them, because everyone includes the whole world in him. So we only speak about what happens in our hearts.

Baal HaSulam, “Introduction to The Book of Zohar,” Item 21: Do not be led astray by the philosophers who say that the very essence of the soul is an intellectual substance, and that it only exists through the concepts it learns, that it grows through them, and that they are its very essence.

According to philosophers, seeing only this world, we also attain something spiritual. Based on what do they think so? On the basis of reasoning. They do not know and they did not study nature, but only scholasticism of their own mind, and that is why they obviously have no real knowledge. Their sphere is fantasy, not based on any empirical study and within the confines of theorizing.

Hence, the philosophical view of the human soul is, “If we reflect and debate about the soul, then we have contact with it.”

On the other hand, Kabbalists explain that all this is one big lie. No one in our world has the soul. In order to obtain the soul, one has to obtain the property of bestowal that is above our desire, above our nature. He who has achieved this has the soul and who has not does not have it.

We still must figure out what the current existence that we call “life” is. Either way, there is no connection between our current desires and the soul. After all, the soul is the desire to bestow, and cannot relate to us. In our perception, we need to separate these two parts by a truly “iron wall.”

Either everything in a person is based on the earthly, “animal” desires, or he is on the other side and governs them. In this case, all their actions are not comparable with his desire to bestow, with the possibility of bestowal. This desire, this action, is called the soul, which grows ascending to the 125 rungs of the spiritual ladder.

Question: How is the demand to justify everything that happens related to the usual scientific approach of Kabbalah?

Answer: It refers to how we should see reality correctly. This is what we are taught. A scientist may try to change the tools he has: the chemicals, if it’s an experiment in chemistry or the microscopes or the telescopes, but here he is told that if he wants to reach the initial cause of the phenomena, he can do so only by an equivalence of form.

This way is the only way to start working with the two forces of nature: the force of receiving and the force of bestowal, the universal plus and minus. These two forces are the basis of all of creation. It’s possible to discover them only through the equivalence and the balance of the two, which is attained by the gradual equivalence between them.

We will discover that these two forces meet and contradict one another inside us. Whatever we feel now, our existence and the existence of this whole world, is a result of these two forces that come together and cannot reach a state of balance between them. But this imbalance is revealed in a range that we can discover. If we can balance these two forces now, we become the middle line that goes between them and includes the two inside us. Then we will see the real state.

By the right connection and the integration of the two, by bringing them to the equivalence of form, by serving as an adaptor in the middle, we establish the point of our existence in which reality opens up before us at this point, on this level, on this ladder, in the middle line. Thus we discover the picture of the true reality. This is called the wisdom of Kabbalah: the balance on the middle line at every point of our existence.

Such a scientist is called a Kabbalist. One who reaches the balance of forces and who controls them, checking and studying them and working with them through his research, his exertion, his work with the innermost tools, with the desires, not with external equipment, but with his inner vessels.

It turns out that he doesn’t need physics, chemistry, or all the other external sciences, since he changes nature from its basis. He doesn’t need all the superficial methods in order to manage his life and to control some natural phenomena. This is so awkward and futile compared to the state he is in.

Justifying every state means reaching the root of creation in every state, on every level. When these two forces are balanced, I see how the force of bestowal is dressed in the force of receiving according to the law of equivalence of form between them. Then I see what happens in the force of bestowal, in the created being as he identifies with and is adhered to the upper force of bestowal, to the Creator. Then I justify the creation as the created being reaches the level of the Creator, which means the state of the absolute good and benevolent.

In the meantime, as long as I haven’t reached a correction in which I feel and discover the Creator as the good and benevolent, my states are called work states. I have to justify them too, which means to try and reach the justification. I cannot say that the Creator is good and benevolent and at the same time cry out in pain. It is only “from Your actions we shall know You.” I don’t know what the good and the benevolent is if I haven’t attained it. The good and the benevolent is different in every state.

In the News (from The Financial Times): “To date, companies have mainly used 3D printing, also called additive manufacturing, to make prototype parts and products for testing. But several of the world’s biggest manufacturers, such as General Electric, EADS and Siemens, are now leading the way in moving the technology from the design shop to the factory floor.

“From January, Siemens, the German electronics and engineering group, will use 3D printing to make spare parts and other components of gas turbines within its power generation service and maintenance division. It can produce more than 100 different individual parts this way. As a result, some repairs can be done in a tenth of the usual time.

“Siemens believes 3D printing could “revolutionise” the supply of spare parts. Today, spare parts are mass produced, stored and sent out individually as required. Soon they will be able to be printed exactly where they are needed – close to the customer. …

“For the aerospace industry, 3D printing is particularly attractive as it can produce lighter parts. In addition, the technology can also help reduce material wastage – important for an industry that uses high-cost metals such as titanium. As a result, products that have a poor ‘buy-to-fly’ ratio are likely to be at the top of companies’ lists for 3D printing.

“’For some of our components you can throw away 90 per cent of the material that you buy,’ says Rich Oldfield, technical director of GKN Aerospace. ‘If you look at the bill of material on an aircraft, anything that has got a buy-to-fly ratio in that 70 to 90 per cent space is a candidate. That’s a huge opportunity.’”

My Comment: All this is not intended to increase profits, but to free people for re-education. Nature has outlined the purpose and means: to bring the human being to it through the recognition of evil, from the direction opposite to this goal.

Question: How is it possible to fulfill such desires as a thirst for knowledge in the transition period to the integral state?

Answer: The thirst for knowledge is realized with Integral Education.

What kind of knowledge do we have as of today?! It is small, pathetic, and one-sided; we have learned little from our egoistic development. After all, we don’t know about nature, it’s hidden from us. Look at where we have put ourselves: We have reached a full crisis in all the sciences.

Moreover, we have transformed these sciences so that they are like a cancerous tumor that has begun to work against us where these are bought just like that! Where is the real science? It doesn’t exist. Who wants to be a scientist?! All of them are interested only in title, position, and honor.

In fact, today there is nothing else! Even if there are still true scientists, they are disappearing, remnants of the past. For egoism is evolving! They cannot be otherwise! I am not saying that there aren’t idealists today, but these idealists are the last of the Mohicans. God forbid, I am not blaming anyone; this is simply the natural evolution of egoism within us.

In the News (from the Royal Society): “Swarming is an essential part of honeybee behavior. When a fertilized queen leaves the hive she takes a swarm of bees with her to start a new colony. Up to 20000 bees might accompany a newly fertilised queen bee on her quest. These bees usually form a cluster and cling to each other for several days whilst scouts leave to search for a new home to relocate to. The bees, exposed to the outside temperature, are at risk of getting too cold but in their tightly packed cluster they may also become too hot.

“Clusters of bees seem to react as one autonomous body to these changing temperatures. Whilst each bee only has information from its own local environment, the cluster as a whole responds cooperatively to maintain a temperature inside of within a few degrees of 35°C. Researchers from MIT and Harvard set about designing a mathematical model which would explain how clusters of bees can respond cooperatively without a central controller.

“Their model suggests that bees respond to their local conditions and move accordingly and that this causes variations in packing which can propagate information about ambient air temperature throughout the cluster.

“Bee clusters have two major parts. Around the outside of the cluster the bees are densely packed together forming a mantle, whilst within the core of the cluster, the bees are more sparsely packed.  When air temperature is cool the mantle becomes more densely packed and the cluster contracts, keeping the heat within. In high ambient temperatures the cluster expands and the mantle spreads out to prevent over heating in the core. …

“The model created by Samuel Ocko and L. Mahadevan uses the idea that cold bees prefer to huddle densely and hot bees like to be more sparsely packed. Cold bees attempt to push themselves towards higher temperatures, which creates what the team call a ‘behavioral pressure’. The bees seek to minimize this pressure by changing their packing. Using a series of equations, the team found that by minimizing behavioral pressure local bee packing mathematically relates both to local temperature and outside temperature. Their model suggests that bees respond to their local conditions and move accordingly and that this causes variations in packing which can propagate information about ambient air temperature throughout the cluster.

“With this method bees can share information across the cluster to work together to maintain constant temperatures in the swarm. The model shows bees’ extraordinary ability to act as a collective. The team suggest that in the cluster individuals can work so closely because ‘the difference between the individual and the collective is nearly non-existent.’”

My Comment: Bees and other animals interact instinctively, managed and driven by the force of nature. The human being was given the mind to learn from nature and reach similarity with it by his efforts. As a result of this work on ourselves, we reveal the higher hidden force of nature: the Creator.

Science is the revelation of the Creator, the sole force that acts on us. There is nothing else to discover. A scientific approach is to measure revealed phenomenon and describe it in formulas.

That is to find out the cause and effect, to describe patterns in the parameters of time, motion, space: either spiritual or material, to determine the correlation of forces, actions and results. We reveal how everything is connected with each other.

In addition, we have to figure out the elements themselves, between which this connection exists: what the actual force is, what the material on which it acts is, the object of influence, and what happens as a result of this interaction with the force and the material: what is the reaction and its result. In essence, this is a scientific study; it doesn’t matter at what level it occurs, the usual Newtonian or quantum physics, or the microcosm of the macrocosm.

But the science of Kabbalah brings everything under one base and speaks about the two forces acting on each other: the desire to receive and the desire to bestow. It explains that with the correct perception of reality, everything that happens inside and around us in fact is our inner feelings inside a single material. Only this material is divided relative to my feelings into external and internal parts.

The science that studies our internality we call psychology. Those sciences that study the material that we feel supposedly outside of us, as if it does not belong to us, is not called psychology, but physics, chemistry, and biology, depending on the level of material and its proximity to us.

Kabbalah is called an inner science and conventional sciences are called external because we do not feel that they belong to what lies within us. All their actions, instruments, seemingly belong to what we consider as the external world. But the problem is only in us.

We study the desires of this world, which we do not perceive as our own, on the still level and call this physics. The studies of the desires of the vegetative world, we call botany and biology, of the animate world, zoology, etc. In fact, we divide our perception into several levels: still, vegetative, and animate, and considering them external, we develop sciences with respect to them. Thus, we can study only the material of this world only on this primitive, lower level, provided that we feel it as external.

But if I start to correct my perception, I will see that the entire reality is inside me, and only one force acts in it. I feel that all this reality in which “There is none else besides Him,” I comprehend in one single desire. Then all the sciences are absorbed by the science of Kabbalah. Why should I study physics, biology, zoology, botany, etc., including psychology, education, culture? All these are partial knowledge, fragments of knowledge, developed by humanity. They create a very limited and shaky picture, unstable, and often changing.

There is no firm basis under all this. As we are approaching the unity of our perception, all the sciences are going through crisis and are absorbed into the science of Kabbalah, which provides a universal, single foundation for all the phenomena, occurring in the material of the desire to enjoy under the influence of the Light.

Today, humanity has thousands of different formulas in different sciences. But all this ultimately boils down to a desire, pleasure, and the restricting screen between them; the confrontation of two forces reconciled through the middle line. That’s all!

“If electronic gadgets function on quantum chips, they will become invisible and elusive. There will be no secrets for quantum computers, they will easily crack any code; any competent hacker will be able to command nuclear missiles to take off or cause a nuclear reactor to explode.

“No one will be able to stop research in this area. The same situation occurred during the atomic race. Another arms race has begun, this time it is quantum.”

My Comment: The evolution of egoism drives us to the need to be re-educated by the method of integral education, from egoistic desires to altruistic, by force—through suffering or in awareness—in advance, before suffering will force us.

In the News (from newsland): “Swarms of locusts accurately find their way through the desert to green valleys where there is food. But one creature, separated from the swarm, loses direction. Studying annual migrations of birds, scientists believed that old and experienced birds led their movements.

“But today, it has been found that migratory flocks have no leaders; often young birds that emerged from eggs in the summer and have no experience, are at the head of the flock. However, being separated from the flock, a bird cannot find the right direction. Fish also become ‘smarter’ when they are inside their school: a group of fish chooses the right direction while one fish cannot.

“Scientists put partitions in a termite colony that was under construction. Termites continued to work, and every passage, ventilation channel or space, which were divided by partitions, was exactly connected with each other.

“Having encountered a ditch during migration, mice and lemmings fill it with their bodies, so that others can continue movement. The trampled ones make no attempt to escape, forming a bridge for those who follow them. The strongest instinct of survival becomes completely suppressed.

“It has not been proved that the organisms, inhabiting the Earth, form a certain next, higher order entity; yet, this hypothesis has not been refuted either. Its undeniable advantage, however, is that it not only explains the ‘will’ of this or that population, but also offers a model of the world, in which there is no us or them, where everything living is interconnected, interdependent and harmoniously complement each other.”

My Comment: To prove the unity of the world it is necessary to reveal the single and only force that controls it: “There is none else besides Him.” The science of Kabbalah reveals this. Other sciences, based on the study of the world by egoistic limited properties, are not able to reveal this unity.
