Question: Why must a Kabbalist have a family?

Answer: First and foremost, it is obligatory for every Kabbalist to have a family because concern for a family shapes a person.

In the wisdom of Kabbalah, it is said, what does a person get when he marries? He gets one more egoistic desire. So, when a person gets married, he has two egoistic desires, and he can now safely engage in the wisdom of Kabbalah.

It is up to us to be like our higher roots where Zeir Anpin and Malchut are, between whom all of the corrections happen, the birth of new Partzufim and new souls. The same thing is found here in our world as well. So, it is obligatory to get married. We must give birth to and raise children to develop. The next generation continues through us. In fact, they are us, but in a new form.

Question: When a woman appears in the life of a man, he thinks about her more than about the Creator; so he feels discomfort, fear, and distance from the Creator. How is it possible to balance the two?

Answer: A man must divide his life clearly and precisely into two parts. What is God’s is His, and what is man’s is his, to the divine what belongs to Him, and to man what belongs to him. In other words, everything that belongs to the body belongs to the body, and everything that belongs to the soul belongs to the soul. A man must work, carry out household chores, dedicate some time to his wife and children, and commit to allocating a specific time for this. However, most of his time he must dedicate to the purpose of life, the development of the soul.

The main thing is that he must prepare a schedule and divide his time. If a person uses time correctly, he will begin to see that the proper division of his forces will lead him toward the goal.

Question: Most new students are very excited and enthusiastic about studying the wisdom of Kabbalah and the method, and see it as the salvation for their lives. All are distinguished by the fact that they were led to search for the meaning of life.  I came because of an inability to escape the oppressiveness of egoism.

I am perplexed and confused because I had a non-standard beginning than all the rest. They were inspired. They were all searching for the meaning of life. But I came because there was no way I could go on like this. Is my way normal?

Answer: There are many ways to reach the Creator, ways we don’t choose but through which the Creator conducts us. Feeling a need to be released from the ego is a very advanced feeling and indicates a person who is close to the goal!

Question: Why do you believe that only the wisdom of Kabbalah gives a correct and true answer to the questions about the meaning of life, building a family, human society, and education?

Answer: Simply because that is at the same level; as a consequence of the nature that created it, a person cannot reach the need to become aware of the question about the meaning of life, all the more so in solving it when he himself is within nature.

Einstein talked about this when he said that in order to jump on a table, one must jump above the table. What this means is that we need a system that is “above ourselves.” This is what the wisdom of Kabbalah provides. By studying its wisdom, it becomes possible to attract the power that will elevate us, the Ohr Makif (Surrounding Light).

Question: A new idea has come up that the time has come for humanity to abandon the concept of cost. The value of an elephant is not more than the value of a bee and a fly, is not more harmful to humans. Cost is not a natural concept. It is merely a deception materialized through money.

It begins from a state, which is called, as it is written, “You hid Your countenance and I became frightened” (Psalms 30:8). That is how the work of the Creator with a person begins. It is a state in which the Creator draws a person toward Him by arousing fear in him. The person must immediately invest effort at every moment to reveal the Creator within him until the person reaches a state in which he is ready for anything to get away from himself and seemingly doesn’t exist. Answer: All of the allegations that Arabs make against Israel—that Israel is killing unarmed Palestinians, pushing them to terrorism against the whole world, digging underneath the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and burning the homes of wretched Palestinians in spite of international treaties—are all a continuation of aggressive anti-Semitic acts that naturally have existed in all times among the peoples of the world against the Jews.

To the degree that the Jews have “robbed” the peoples of the world by not giving them the method, the means for attaining happiness, the peoples of the world feel the loss and damage that the Jews have caused them and the world, and their anti-Semitic behavior is the reaction to this.

Therefore, the Europeans and the peoples of the world increasingly will support the Palestinian side, even though they are destructive. Because the Jews are not repairing the world, they themselves direct the Palestinians toward acts of terrorism.

In this way, the Arabs are puppets on strings in the hands of the Jews, whereas the Jews are refusing to know the true cause of the hatred toward them from the peoples of the world. On the contrary, they believe that they have been giving the world more than any other nation and all of the nations together. This is correct, but it is not what is demanded from the Jewish people. Instead, their only role is the revelation of the method for achieving happiness, eternity, paradise, fulfillment!

Answer: Emptiness is a special category of desires that cannot be filled, and therefore feels empty of the content it would like to have.

A person who asks this type of question is starting to feel the desire to attain and know the meaning of life, why life comes to an end, what happens after one dies, and why life is so absurd and random.

In other words, emptiness is a desire to attain something that remains unattainable for the time being because our matter is a desire to be filled with pleasure and satisfaction, and if the filling is missing and does not exist, it is called emptiness.

Question: There are some people who claim that they have attained Godliness and the revelations of miracles through different religions. Are there miracles or people with special abilities in the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: A Kabbalist does not engage in miracles. Everything a Kabbalist attains is internal and so he cannot show off his attainment before anyone and will never do it.

There is no point in forcing him to show some trick. It will not work. There are no miracles in our world. If we don’t know and don’t recognize the laws of nature, certain phenomena may seem to us as miracles.

If you lit a match in front of a Neanderthal man who lived 600,000 – 350,000 years ago, he could wonder how you did that and think that the fire came out of your finger, and would even bow before you and think that you are a creature from another world. So it all depends only on the relative level between two people.

Question: Why do you tell your students: “A student must talk with his wife 15 minutes a day”?

Answer: I would like you to answer me. What kind of couple talks about their relationship or talks to each other for more than 15 minutes a day in general? Most of the time a woman asks her husband to talk, but her husband refuses. This is because he thinks that this is “feminine vanity.”

When I call for my students to speak with their wives for 15 minutes a day, I mean that they should specifically talk about their relationship, talk about strengthening their familial relationship, not about home economics. This is a Mitzva (commandment) that nobody maintains!

Generally I am not surprised about the opposition to what I am saying. The human ego looks for various opportunities to denounce and criticize the wisdom of Kabbalah and Kabbalists, justifying its empty existence!
