Blitz Of Kabbalah Tips – 12/11/16, Part 1

laitman_570Question: Can I study the wisdom of Kabbalah a bit later in life after I fulfill my commitments to my children, attain material benefits, and achieve stability?

Answer: You can if you have time, it is your business.

Question: My world exists as long as I exist. Does that mean that true happiness is actually my existence?

Answer: True happiness is when you attain the Creator and discover that you are bringing Him pleasure. Then you are at your uppermost spiritual point, which is complete revelation.

Question: Is friendship and love in our world a desire to receive?

Answer: Yes, an egoistic desire to receive is called love.

Question: How does the wisdom of Kabbalah relate to marijuana?

Answer: Kabbalists don’t consume drugs because drugs interfere with one’s thoughts and don’t allow a person to properly sharpen his feelings. Drugs divert us to different physical trips.

Question: Can a Kabbalist befriend death?

Answer: I don’t know what it means to befriend death. A Kabbalist relates to physiological death as to an unavoidable state of the body in which he exists and with which he identifies at the moment and nothing more than that. True life is actually above the physical body.

Is Volunteering Beneficial To The World?

laitman_282_02Question from Facebook: Is volunteering beneficial to the world?

Answer: It depends on what it is. If you help old women to cross the street, the hungry in Africa, homeless people, animals, and so forth, then this work is certainly of no benefit. In the meantime, let people continue to do this, although we can see that the world does not change for the better from this.

To understand how the world must change, it is necessary to study the world itself—by what laws it exists and develops, toward what ultimate goal it is advancing, and whether volunteer work helps achieve this goal. If it helps, then let’s develop it. If not, why is it needed? After all, it simply closes our eyes to the true problems and their solution.

What is beneficial for the world is only a change in the nature of the person from egoistic to altruistic. This can be done under the influence of a higher force, which we must summon upon ourselves. The higher force, the power of bestowal and love, is hidden from us and can manifest in us if we so desire.

How to do this, how to want it, and how to cause the influence of the good higher force on ourselves is what the wisdom of Kabbalah talks about. Therefore, the wisdom of Kabbalah is the method of correcting man and humanity.

The Wisdom Of Kabbalah

laitman_265Question from Facebook: Why isn’t the wisdom of Kabbalah taught in schools in Israel if it is a science? Why isn’t Kabbalah considered alternative knowledge?

Answer: Kabbalah is a totally independent science and not part of it. The difference between the wisdom of Kabbalah and ordinary sciences is that it penetrates the world that surrounds us, enters it, and explores it. Humanity has aspired for that throughout its history and has eventually arrived at a dead end. All the sciences are in crisis.

We develop the earthly sciences through our senses, which are limited to begin with. Although we use instruments like telescopes, microscopes, etc., they enable us to extend the borders of our limitedness and nothing more than that.

The main problem is that we perceive the world that exists along three axes as a world that exists on a fourth axis, the axis of time. This is how we were created and we cannot exit this framework. We can expand or restrict time,  change the axis somehow, but we cannot exit this state. In order to do so, we have to ascend above our essence, whereas the earthly sciences do not enable us to do so.

While we exist in the scientific dimensions of our earthly framework, all the sciences developed as they explained man’s attitude to the world that surrounds us. Today, however, having reached a dead end, we begin to realize that there is nowhere else we can develop.

It is actually for this reason that the wisdom of Kabbalah is being revealed now. It tells us that we shouldn’t delve deep into matter, space, etc., but we need to go deeper into ourselves, see which tools we are using, and whether we can change ourselves in order to explore the world differently and see a different world.

Today, we feel the world we explore through our senses, through our tools of understanding and perception. This isn’t the same world that is external to us, but a world that we feel internally.

Here, for the first time, scientists throw up their hands and say: “We have to change man in order to achieve this, but how? We don’t know.” And so the next science emerges offering not to explore what is external to us but to explore ourselves; not to change the world that surrounds us, but ourselves.

As a result of changing ourselves, we will know what the world actually is. This will be a totally different science, a science of adaptation, a science of exploring the world according to a person’s level of attainment of the states and the attributes we are in, attributes we can change.

The wisdom of Kabbalah is first and foremost a science that changes man and accordingly describes what he feels, including our world. This is the reason that it does not engage in physics, chemistry, or biology and actually not what we feel in the standard state we are in now. The wisdom of Kabbalah engages in the knowledge of how to change ourselves internally and to feel the world by the changing states, as it is felt in a totally different manner then.

The wisdom of Kabbalah is available for everyone. It is actually today when all the sciences have reached their ultimate peak and cannot develop any further that the wisdom of Kabbalah is revealed saying: “Let’s change our view, which was once determined as a constant, fixed measurement, that a person doesn’t change and explores the world from inside himself. If we change this constant, we will see a world that appears before us and how we can explore it.”

This is a much wider and richer science, and because it engages in the next levels of man’s development, it reveals to man states that are not related to his body. Even if the corporeal body dies, the states that a person attains continue to exist inside him objectively.

We can read about that in the “Introduction to The Book of Zohar” and in many other sources. On the whole, the wisdom of Kabbalah is a very interesting method that explains the true theory of relativity, not Einstein’s, but the theory of relativity of our attainment and perception.

What Is Hatred?

laitman_570Question from Facebook: What is hatred?

Answer: Love and hatred are forces that drive a person and manage the world. What I suffer causes me to hate the source of suffering. What I enjoy causes me to love the source of pleasure. This is how these forces are expressed in our egoism. I appreciate everything only according to whether I feel bad or good as a result of whatever I encounter, as a result of the filling.

Comment: A person is usually intimidated and shaken by the word “hatred” and regards it as a very extreme situation like war or murder.

My Response: A person has to ascend a bit to the philosophic level, because we are part of nature in which there are two feelings, love and hatred, or pain and pleasure, which constantly manage us, and if it weren’t for these two opposite phenomena, we would not be able to exist. We would not be able to feel life if it weren’t for the constant feeling of love and hate.

Question: Why do you often say that true hatred exists only on the way to love?

Answer: Because that is what it is meant for. If our desire to enjoy is not filled, then we suffer, and if it is filled, we enjoy. This is what everything is based on.

It is very simple: there is a small cell and if we don’t fill it, it suffers and hates the source that doesn’t fill it. It wants to change it, convert it, and destroy it, as long as it doesn’t suffer. But if a source that fills it emerges, then the attitude toward it is called love.

There is nothing but that.

However, there are still various systems of memory and restoration systems, which build the relations between us.

Question: Does that mean that we constantly feel love and hatred toward the Creator?

Answer: Everything that we feel in the corporeal world is what we feel toward the Creator because there is none else besides Him. Everything around us are His revelations with regard to us. He sends us a feeling of suffering or of pleasure toward which we feel hatred, repulsion, or the opposite, attraction and love.

Question: If we hate someone, does that mean that we hate the Creator?

Answer: Of course, because there is none else besides Him. He is the one who organizes everything for us; all our calculations should be made only with the Creator.

If a person begins to focus himself only on the Creator and understands that only He exists before him, everything will be peaceful and good, since he knows how to manage his relations with the Creator. He knows what he has to do so the Creator will be felt as good, fulfilling, loving, and kind with regard to him. This is what the wisdom of Kabbalah is about.

Employer-Employee Relations

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: What should the employer-employee relations be like if both study the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: They would be like ordinary relations. At work, you are the boss, the manager, and I am the worker, and in spirituality, we are friends and are absolutely equal! These two relationships have nothing to do with each other. There is no difference between the two parties in a friendly unity.

The Specificity Of Women’s Work

laitman_560Question: Although we women actively work in the tens, awaken each other, without which it seems like something important is missing, at the same time, we are far from constantly dedicating ourselves to the benefit of the friends.

How can we come to the importance of this work and live by it? How can we acquire this sensitivity? How do I come to the fear that the Creator will leave me, not because I won’t be able to work in order to feel good, but because I won’t be able to become like Him?

Answer: The specificity of women’s spiritual work is also in the fact that she completely requires the men’s group and support. This relates to the stage before the Machsom is acquired. After that, a person’s soul will teach him.

Living Within Your Limits

laitman_623Question from Facebook: You always say that a Kabbalist must limit himself to the necessary minimum. But the minimum is different for each one. How is it possible to determine the limit?

Answer: A person determines this limit himself by directing all his thoughts and characteristics to uniting with others and through them to unity with the Creator. At the same time, it is natural that the rest of the small desires, drives, and interests will be nullified.

Even though I consider myself to be a Kabbalist and am specifically involved with this most of the time, I must write and explain the wisdom of Kabbalah to people.

So, I listen to the news and watch popular scientific programs in order to conduct my lectures and talks on the basis of this.

Besides that, I love good jokes and stories because this shows how much the human intellect can turn everything around and discover the union of opposites. In principle, this is exactly what is found in a good joke.

Question: Are the minimum necessities a forced equality so everyone will be on the same level?

Answer: No. Not in any way. The main thing is for a person to find an important purpose in life and everything else he does will be subordinate to it. Everything else will be secondary. So everything will get along, becoming natural.

I learned this from my teacher. He loved walking in the park, eating well, going to the sauna, and swimming in the sea. But all this was so minor compared to his spiritual pursuits, with the height at which he was, this was perceived as concomitant.

A person must determine and define the goal precisely. Then the necessities will take care of themselves.

Why Is A Mezuzah Necessary?

laitman_425Question from Facebook: A religious person explained to me that the lack of a Mezuzah is a source of trouble at home: the illness of relatives, the breakdown of electronic appliances, and so forth. How does the wisdom of Kabbalah look at this? Are there root causes of these troubles?

Answer: It is said that a Mezuzah protects Jewish homes and must be on all the doors. Therefore, its presence shouldn’t bother you even if you don’t believe in it.

If you begin to dig deeper into what is written on the piece of parchment and why it protects the house, then you will see that it talks about the uniqueness of the Creator and connection with Him.

If a person is connected with the Creator and considers Him to be the only force that manages him and emulates His characteristics of bestowal and love, then he certainly enters under its protection. This is the inner meaning of the Mezuzah.

It is not the piece of parchment that protects you, but that you become a force that yearns for the Creator.

Therefore, it is said: “inscribe them upon the tablet of thy heart” and “adhere them to all entrances and exits in your life.”

We Will Take Everyone With Us

Unity, The Way To A Good FutureQuestion from Facebook: You say that we, the people of Israel, must attain the Creator by uniting together. Is this not egoistic? Wouldn’t it be more worthwhile to pray for the nations of the world?

Answer: You are absolutely right. But for the rest of the peoples to be corrected, we must correct ourselves to the level of the Creator first. Then, to that degree, we can attract and bring the nations of the world closer to the Creator.

The way through which we have already passed is latent in our spiritual genes. So today we must return to it again to attract everyone else after us.

We will not leave anyone in this world behind; we will take everyone with us to the upper world.

Blitz Of Kabbalah Tips – 11/27/16, Part 2

laitman_604_02Question: Spiritual sensations are inside me, inside my soul. Where is the connection to other people here?

Answer: You cannot begin to feel the upper world, the common field called the Creator, if you don’t reach Him through perceiving others as yourself. You will not have a sensor through which you can feel the upper state unless you do so.

Question: Is there a reverse process to the correction of the desire? Does a person with uncorrected desires who comes to a group of who have corrected their soul lower the level of the group?

Answer: Of course, but we still must accept him and begin to draw him to us since everyone who arrives has the right to be incorporated with the group. At the same time, we can divide the group of older and newer students, and gradually bring the level of the new students to that of the older ones. This is the way to advance.

Question: Does making reality unperturbed mean not putting any labels on it?

Answer: Yes, this means not participating in it.

When I acquire the attribute of bestowal, I think about how to do good unto others in order to fill their desires. I don’t include myself in it, but only yearn to give them what they want. In that case, the upper world receives me without any problems or obstacles, and I am peacefully incorporated in it.
