Do We Choose Our Thoughts?

219.01Question: The Creator gives us the opportunity to think. Is thought our free choice or does the Creator dictate them?

Answer: All our thoughts come from the Creator. He wants us to examine them, choose the ones we want to implement, and thus turn to Him with this request.

Question: Should we realize what the Creator desires or what we desire in these thoughts?

Answer: We must realize what the Creator desires and what we desire as one united whole.

Think about this all the time, for it is said: make your desire like His.

The Power of Purification

239Question: Why is the desire to bestow called the power of purification?

Answer: It purifies our egoistic desire and completely orients it toward bestowal.

Question: Now we are praying out of selfishness. What will help us move on to true prayer so that it comes from the quality of bestowal?

Answer: The Creator gradually, imperceptibly to us, changes our desires and sensations so we move from one part of understanding our nature to another.

In the ten this transition is carried out individually for everyone: for one sooner, for another later, depending on one’s qualities and actions.

However, we do not need anything but an urgent request to the Creator, tenacity, and perseverance.

Don’t Stray from the Goal

541Question: When we read the articles, I have a growing regret that I cannot go beyond the boundaries of egoism. The text pulls you up because there is a completely different quality of existence. Is regret the beginning of a correct prayer?

Answer: Yes, this is already the beginning. Therefore, one should not leave the smallest awakening, but try to develop it all the time.

Small articles can be read many times a day. And in this way you will not allow yourself to stray far from the goal.

It Depends on Devotion

562.01Question: In prayer, should we ask for the level of faith and bestowal the Creator wants to give us?

Answer: Preferably. We do not know the level the Creator requires of us, but we can imagine it based on our feelings.

Question: What does this level depend on and how can we present it in order to give the Creator what we are asking?

Answer: It depends on devotion. If you sincerely intend to bestow through your actions, you will start to feel what you are doing concerning the Creator.
