From The Illusory World To The World Of Truth

laitman_423.03Question: How did the transition of the invisible spiritual world into the corporeal world take place?

Answer: There is no matter and there is no corporeality. Everything around us exists in our imagination, only inside of us, in our feelings.

Everything around us is absolutely subjective because we exist in certain coordinates and feel everything with regard to ourselves.

Question: Why is the illusory world in which we live and which exists only in our imagination so terrible and the suffering of millions is so unbearable?

Answer: All the suffering is meant to push us out of it, upward, to a better world. Until we want that ourselves, we will be here and suffer.

Everything Depends On The Spiritual Masach

laitman_537.jpgQuestion: What benefits can come from the spiritual terms of space and time? What can I take for myself?

Answer: You can implement time, space, distance, the transition from one place to another, the acceleration, and the deceleration.

You can attain eternity, wholeness and in all coordinates play with all the parameters as you wish. Only this all depends on the degree to which you control your desires.

In other worlds, it all depends on the spiritual Masach.

Day And Night In Spirituality

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: What is the change of day into night and vice versa? What parallel phenomena are there in spirituality?

Answer: There is not day or night in spirituality. The spreading of the Light in the desire is called day and the exit of the Light from the desire is called evening or night.

Question: And what about the cycles, like the cycle of the day, for example?

Answer: There are cycles in spirituality but on different dimensions, in other concepts. A person who enters the spiritual world undergoes an upgrading to different concepts and there is a totally different definition to the concept of “day,” “night,” “time,” “I,” and “peace.” All the definitions totally change, transform, and take on a new shape, a rebirth.

What Determines The Transience Of Time?

laitman_764.3Question: Does the speed of time depend upon the age of the person? Why during childhood is it immeasurable, but in adulthood it just goes along by minutes?

Answer: It seems to us that time is objective, but in fact it is absolutely subjective, especially in regard to children. I remember when I was a child and I asked to play in the yard, my mother would say to me: “No more than an hour.” “An hour! That was an eternity!” And when I came home, she would ask: “Why were you gone for four hours?!” That is, I was living in a different continuum.

Question: Why does time pass quickly for some people, while for others it passes slowly?

Answer: It depends on desire. If the desire matches my actions, then time passes rapidly because I am enjoying it. When I am happy, time flies, as in the song, “Hours of love run; they are shorter than minutes.”

Question: What does it mean that the ego stretches time in our world?

Answer: In principle, it is not egoism that stretches time, but the Klipa (Shell), and it works so that we will pay more intention to time and not its essence.

A Person Is The Enemy Of His Personal Time

laitman_739Question: When is time a person’s enemy?

Answer: Time is not a person’s enemy; the person is the enemy of his own time.

Within a person is a device through which he determines time from zero to infinity at any speed. Time is variable. Even physicists say this, but just not in our coordinates.

The wisdom of Kabbalah differs from quantum physics and other exact sciences in that it brings a person into a space where he is outside of time, where he can change himself in his own axes of freedom. But to do this, it is necessary to acquire tools (Kelim), other senses of perception.

Evolution And The Spiritual Space

226Question: Why does our evolution take place outside of spiritual space?

Answer: Nothing takes place outside of the spiritual space. We simply say that historical development seemingly takes place in our world. What does it mean in our world? It is all in spirituality. Our world doesn’t exist. It is a conditional division.

There is only one creation and everything exists in it. There is no artificial division between the worlds by any partitions. We are the ones who divide everything into parts as a result of our limited attainments and possibilities because all the limitations are inside us.

The Subjectivity Of The Coordinates Of Our World

laitman_928Question: Does a Kabbalist not think about the future at all? Only about the present?

Answer: Everything depends on the measure of his equivalence to the Creator. If I completely merge with Him, then for me the concept of time as some factor disappears, as does everything in existence. I do not change, but simply remain all the time in adhesion with the Creator.

Question: An ordinary person is constantly thinking about what will happen the next minute, in a day, a year, and so on, and makes all kinds of plans. Does a Kabbalist not think about this at all?

Answer: An ordinary person needs to receive “treatment,” and then he will understand that the coordinates of time, space, and motion are strictly subjective and require recognition of their subjectivity, and then correction.

Question: We observe that certain processes in our lives are nevertheless connected to time: for example, if a child is one year old, until four more years have passed, he will not turn five.

Answer: Naturally, there is time that flows in our coordinates independently of us. This, however, is only as long as you exist in your animal body and within those dimensions that contain an order of change: yesterday, today, tomorrow, and so on.

Therefore, it is impossible to return to the past, the future can be approached, and so on, but only because we still exist in the framework of this world. The moment we rise above this world, we begin to relate to time, motion, and space in a completely different way.

Place In Spirituality

laitman_282.01Question: What is “place” in the spiritual world?

Answer: Place is the magnitude of my desire that determines how much pleasure I can receive in quantity and quality to bring contentment to the Creator.

Question: When you say desire, do you mean consciousness? Or are these two different things?

Answer: Desire is desire and consciousness determines how I work with my desire.

Question: So is consciousness an intention?

Answer: No. What I work with my desire for and how I work with it—these are two different things. Consciousness determines how I work. And what I work for is intention.

Distance In Spirituality

laitman_249.03Question: What is distance according to the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: Distance in spirituality is the difference in attributes between two spiritual objects. If I compare myself to someone’s attributes and resemble him, I get closer to him. But if our mutual attribute has somehow changed, I draw further away from him. It is as if we are in outer space.

laitman_934Question: Kabbalah says that there is one force in nature that can change our whole life for the better and make us happy, but it is possible to attract this force only by working together in a special group. What is a group from Kabbalah’s perspective?

Answer: The concept of group for our world is something irrational and non-existent. Although we do hear the word “group” everywhere, Kabbalah puts a completely different meaning in this concept.

The whole reality is one integral system bound by all its parts and properties into one whole. It is just like all organs in our body are connected into one system, and so our body lives. And if this system breaks down and the body becomes ill, then the problem is not with some separate organ, but mainly because the communication between organs is broken.

Traditional medicine operates on the principle of allopathy; that is, it concentrates on the treatment of a particular organ or a small part of the body and does not take into account the rest of the body. The eye doctor does not treat ears, and the otolaryngologist specializes in ears but knows nothing about the kidneys, etc. This is the problem; we do not treat our body as a single system.

The further we advance, the more we are convinced of the incorrectness of this approach. The world becomes round and closed, and we find out that everyone is connected with each other. This is a result of our high level of development. We discover that we exist in one system and in complete interrelation with each other even when we develop in an egoistic form.

We have no choice but to look at the world from a different perspective and to begin to perceive humanity as one. If we continue to see ourselves as separate individuals, it will lead to our having very bad lives, even into breakdown and catastrophe, the signs of which are already felt today.

They say that you can reach anyone through a chain of five people. And generally we live in a world where trade, travel, communications, and industries have become transcontinental. But people are not ready for this. Each of us remains by himself, as a huge individualist who is not ready to connect with others as all systems in the modern world unite.

We also see that all objects are interrelated when we observe the universe. Advanced methods of scientific research show that the universe holds many secrets that we cannot comprehend because we do not use a common, integral approach in our study.

We cannot even imagine the quality of communication that exists between all parts of reality. By its nature, we cannot associate sound with light, health with nature. Only now are we discovering that we are dependent on what is happening on the sun and other stars and that our state and mood depend on phenomena in the universe. Gradually we will reveal this universal relationship.
