Israel is a high degree. Every person who has separated himself from material interests and is only directed at adhesion with the Creator, with the force of bestowal according to the law of equivalence of form, and devotes every moment to this is called Yashar-El (straight to the Creator), Israel.

One of the stages on the path is to enter into a pact, when a person integrates the others, those who are also called Israel, into himself. Once they were already united, but the desire to enjoy, the evil inclination, entered between them and separated them. And now, in spite of the fact that they reveal it, they nonetheless work on their connection all the time in order to reach connection, and to provide the Creator with the vessel for the reception of pleasure.

The goal of creation is the delight of the created beings. This is the action on the part of the Creator, so why was it given as the task of creation? Because the creation has to bring itself to such a state to give the Creator an opportunity to bring it pleasure. Our work is to reveal this vessel for receiving pleasure. And the pleasure is to give the Creator an opportunity to bestow.

As is it said about the miracle that happened at Mount Sinai: “Today we have all gathered here,” that is, from this point forward we receive the ability to connect and be worthy to be clothed in the upper force. And now we are called the chosen people; this general vessel is called the people of Israel. And He who fills this vessel according to the law of equivalence of form shall be called our Creator.

Therefore, there is a condition: “Today we have all gathered here,” that is, we should all get together to become as one—one common vessel for the realization of the goal of creation, to benefit the created beings.

It is said: “And the people stood under the mountain,” that is, having broken all doubts (Har – mountain, Irurim – doubts) to achieve unity. We need to take care of our common connection so that none of us forgets about it.

Real mutual guarantee is needed for that. That is what we lack, and this is the reason why we have not yet succeeded in building the common vessel. This is all because of the lack of mutual participation, care that each friend is concerned about connecting everyone into one, so that we “have ALL gathered here!”

Baal HaSulam, “Exile and Redemption”: The Creator will evidently show us that Israel cannot exist in exile, and will find no rest as the rest of the nations that mingled among the nations and found rest, and assimilated in them, until no trace was left of them.

The Light operated and influences the mixing of the shattered vessels. If two liquids are mixed and left together for thousands of years, the heavy components of this mixture will sink and the light ones will float. Accordingly, the Light that shines from Above shines more on the light components, which as a result feel that they want to attain the goal of creation. This feeling awakens in them and so they can find no rest among the vessels of receiving. They can correct themselves, and they are called “Israel” which stands for Yashar – El (straight to the Creator).

The general desire can be divided into two parts: the upper (Galgalta veEynaim – GE) that can easily be corrected and the lower (AHP) that is difficult to correct. The vessels of GE don’t feel an immediate awakening, but a gradual one, first on the level of the “forefathers,” then on the level of the “sons,” and then in the 21^st century, it comes to us. Still the vessels of Israel awaken by themselves, because they have a point in the heart (•), which begins to appear at one point or another, starting from the time of Abraham to the present day to the Bnei Baruch organization (BB).

There cannot be any awakening below. Here the desires to receive are in control, and they cannot awaken by themselves. Only after the first upper vessels correct themselves, they begin to awaken the lower by using different methods. First there were beliefs that Abraham had sent with the sons of the concubines to the East as gifts. Then different religions appeared. Finally we are using dissemination, which Baal HaSulam writes about in his article “The Messiah’s Shofar,” saying that we must bring the world the information about the correction that the Israeli nation has to perform. Thus we act and influence these layers, and in response they begin to join us and to rise.

This means that the order of our correction is as follows: First we correct the vessels of GE (1), then the vessels of AHP of Aliya (on the rise) (2), and then the vessels of AHP in their place (3). Today we are in the first phase when Israel is being corrected.

In general, this drawing shows the whole vessel that was created with its two parts: GE and AHP. In it, the people with the point in the heart are above, and it can be anyone, no matter where he lives. The layer marked in yellow is also divided into two parts: the “nation of Israel in the land of Israel” and the “nation of Israel in exile.” Both parts have points in the heart, but they haven’t awakened in the second part yet.

The upper part of this vessel is the level of the forefathers, and it is already corrected (in red) and below there is a “white spot,” which we have to correct. Then it will be the turn of the “nation of Israel in the land of Israel,” and then the “nation of Israel in exile.”

Question: Among the “nations of the world” there is the category of AHP of Aliya (rising) that joins Israel first. Who are the people who belong to this category?

Answer: Some join this process according to the order of correction and others are corrected only in the end. But in fact, it isn’t about human beings, but about vessels. It is not in kilograms of flesh and not in animal attributes, all this has nothing to do with spirituality. Another thing is important, and that is how big a person’s ego is and how deeply the point in the heart is buried.

The only thing that a person has is his ego. So where is the spark (•) of future bestowal in him hiding? In which layers? On which of the five level of thickness (the thickness of the desire)? According to this a person awakens to correction.

Basically, everyone has a point in the heart. After the shattering and the mixing of the vessels, there is even an initial part of it in the stony heart, since otherwise it will simply not be able to be corrected. But if the fourth level is corrected only in the end, then all the other levels belong to AHP of Aliya.

Those who have the point in the heart—which they received back in ancient Babylon and have gone through many reincarnations until today or in whom it awakens only now—are actually the only ones who have freewill. It is because there are two forces in them: the force of receiving and the force of bestowal. In all the others, there is only the force of receiving, the desire to receive, which totally manages them; the spark of bestowal is dormant for the time being and doesn’t show itself.

They don’t have these two forces between which it is possible to judge themselves and the whole to one scale or the other. But if the sparks of bestowal awaken in people, they can change their fate and the fate of the whole world. Such people are called Yashar—El (straight to the Creator) since by the attribute they received from the Creator they can choose and judge themselves and the whole world to the scale of correction.

They are very different from others even in their corporeal nature as a result of the spark that operates in them. Only those who have the spark of the force of bestowal, have freewill. Therefore, they are the innermost part of the world, since they are close to the Light that is everywhere. Through them the Light can reach the whole system, all the other vessels, all the other people we see in this world.

They have to perform the correction and they are responsible for the state of the world, the way the world is advancing towards the general correction. Therefore, we have to gather all the people in whom the point in the heart has awakened and try to form them into a strong and unified group. This union will be called the inner center, the heart of the world.

By coming together and annulling our ego, we come closer to the Creator, to the Light, to the force of bestowal. On the other hand, the influence of the Light will spread through us all over the world. This is all our work. All these efforts are only to bring contentment to the upper force. By that we discover the upper force and identify with it, which means that we attain the goal of creation.

The most important thing is the connection among us in order to increase the force of bestowal and to raise its importance, to become as close as possible to the Light, to its attribute, and thus to advance.

Even without knowing anything about the upper force, we see that there must be a system here that is clearly written. It is as if a long time ago a sage wrote about it in a book and now it all comes true. No matter what the Jewish people do, and wherever they are, fate will always follow them, control them, and bring about the distorted relations with its neighbors, with the world, and with ourselves. It has no rest.

If this nation doesn’t want to see this system with its built-in software and program, which leads it from the beginning to the end, to the goal, then nothing will help us. On the contrary, if we delve into it, it will be clear that this it the Torah of truth. A transition from a corrupt state to a corrected state, Nature itself, by its development, demands this from us, and the wisdom of Kabbalah explains the phases and the states a person goes through on the way and the actions and the Lights that are part of the process. Woe to our nation if we don’t see the truth in this wisdom and don’t use it. Since then it still follows the same path in the same direction, but it advances in curves under a shower of blows, and by that extends time and increases the sufferings.

In fact, the path is clear, and every move has its right time, and if I don’t fulfill it on time, then yesterday’s uncorrected part is added to today’s part and thus doubles the load. This part doesn’t disappear and we will still have to correct it, but under worse conditions, which stem from the lack of yesterday’s correction. If I don’t correct this today, then tomorrow, under the load of the last two days, the conditions will be much worse and I will have to do the work that is three times greater.

Thus I constantly create greater and more difficult external problems, until I am totally surrounded by enemies who want to annihilate me. At home too, things are getting worse and the outside world surrounds us with hatred, so what can we do?

In addition, internally I feel the hardening of the heart. If before my understanding was purer, and I felt things and fulfilled the corrections, today I don’t care about anything, and I am disappointed and empty…

So if I don’t correct the problem in time, it remains and is added to the load on my back, which thus becomes increasingly heavier. My Comment: This statement looks like a mockery of all the attempts of the Israeli army not to harm the people of Gaza, even risking the lives of Israeli people. The truth is restated once again—the Jews are expected to correct the world rather than to become similar to other nations. The claims of the nations of the world that the Jews are the cause of all the world’s ills is fair because only they can correct the world.

With the worsening of the global crisis, the nations of the world will increasingly put pressure on us and force us to carry out our business, the duty to the world and the Creator—to give an example for the world to unite in “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” We will have to realize this biblical instruction on ourselves, by consciously becoming aware of it or under strong pressure and suffering. The choice is ours.

Of course, the Israeli nation can exist only if it is in mutual guarantee. This is the basis and the foundation of our nation by which we will be able to determine the right form of our state since otherwise we will not be able to exist. This cannot be if we don’t have the intention to bestow Lishma (for her name).

Only then will we be able to be prosperous and secure in our state; it all depends on the inner intention, which determines all the other aspects of life. So, Baal HaSulam says that we should not think about a corporeal revival, and, what is more, try to be like all the other nations since we exist on a totally different basis and not according to the principles of the other nations.

The nations of the world live according to the laws of the desire to receive, and so, they know how to arrange their corporeal life in this world. They feel themselves and understand one another. The Israeli nation, however, doesn’t. We must have only a spiritual revival, and if we keep and fulfill our spiritual mission, our corporeal life will work out. We will not need to worry about it since if we attain the spiritual level, there will be such a balance of forces between the corporeal world and the spiritual world that it will determine the level and the form of our corporeal existence.

So, the only thing we need is spirituality: A solution that is as internal as possible. Everything else will work out automatically as the projection of the internality on the externality.

The same thing happens with regard to our entire global Kabbalistic group called “Israel,” which stands for the yearning to the Creator, Yashar El (straight to the Creator). If we want this group to grow and serve as a source of this knowledge by existing as a spiritual superpower, then we first must take care of our inner quality, and in addition, invest our power in dissemination as well.

However, the main thing that determines our success is the connection among us. We must go out into the world and be impressed by it so as not to lose our connection with it, to disseminate the method of Kabbalah and mutual guarantee in it. However, first, it must stem from our concern for unity and connection, for mutual guarantee among us, in order to focus this on bestowal Lishma, which means in order to bring contentment to the upper force.

As for Israel, we must yearn straight to the Creator since it is the internality that determines everything. So, here too, in the land of Israel, we first must worry about attaining the inner force. Once we have it, no one will be able to harm us.

Question: Will the desire to know the Creator arise in all the people who live on Earth?

Answer: By itself, it will not arise.

People in whom this desire arises are called Israel (Yashar El), which in translation means to move forward, to aspire to this goal independently.

And there are people who do not have this independent movement, but the crisis that will continue to unfold will force them to run away from it. However, then they will inevitably join those who strive forward.

That is, they will have a desire to escape adverse conditions, the pressure from behind, rather than a yearning for the goal. In this way, the ninety percent of humans will move toward correction, the goal of creation.

Baal HaSulam, “Introduction to the Book of Zohar,” Item 69: But if, God forbid, it is to the contrary, and a person from Israel degrades the virtue of the internality of the Torah and its secrets, which deals with the conduct of our souls and their degrees, and the perception and the tastes of the Mitzvot with regard to the advantage of the externality of the Torah, which deals only with the practical part? Also, even if one does occasionally engage in the internality of the Torah, and dedicates a little of one’s time to it, when it is neither night nor day, as though it were redundant, by that one dishonors and degrades the internality of the world, which are the children of Israel, and enhances the externality of the world—meaning the Nations of the World—over them. They will humiliate and disgrace the children of Israel, and regard Israel as superfluous, as though the world has no need for them, God forbid.

Furthermore, by that, they make even the externality in the Nations of the World overpower their own internality, for the worst among the Nations of the World, the harmful and the destructors of the world, rise above their internality, which are the Righteous of the Nations of the World. And then they make all the ruin and the heinous slaughter our generation had witnessed…

If the Israeli nation stalls the process of correction, it gets back the blow of all the corruptions it hasn’t corrected in the world. But to the same extent that we fulfill the method of correction (and we have all the conditions to do so), we draw the upper Light for the whole world, the upper force that arranges all the desires and corrects all the souls. This Light comes to everyone, and so we will see how their attitude towards us will begin to change. So there is nothing to blame our enemies for, we are the ones who have made them that way. We suffer because of our foolishness as we don’t fulfill our role.

It says: “I have created the evil inclination; I have created the Torah as a spice to it, since the Light in it reforms.” If we correct ourselves, our corrections are passed directly to everyone else by open pipes.

But if we don’t do that, then the world remains uncorrected because of us, and will turn to us pressuring us and demanding it from us. Then we will still have to advance towards correction anyway, but by the path of sufferings, since we refused to listen right off and to fulfill our role.

We have no choice. Now after so many missile attacks we have understood this a bit more. We see that we are at a dead end and that we are totally helpless. There is no more time to think, and we are so far behind and have to make much greater corrections than the ones we have already made.

The main responsibility is ours, those who deal with the internal correction. If we made the corrections on time, there wouldn’t be any conflict in Gaza and there wouldn’t be any missiles. The corporeal problems would totally disappear; they would simply not be able to exist in our world. We would rise above all matter like a flying saucer.

We are all to blame for what is happening, all those who have the internality of the Torah. The same people who called themselves the “nation of Israel,” who left Babel with Abraham and who have founded the nation based on the principle of “love thy friend as thyself,” “mutual guarantee,” and “as one man with one heart,” now is the perfect time for them to connect and to perform the correction.

The very moment and to the extent that they fulfill the correction, it will pass on freely to everyone else and will spread throughout the system that ties us and that is expecting a filling. We are the valve that blocks the artery and which doesn’t allow the upper Light to go through it.

Therefore, all the nations, feeling the lack of fulfillment, exhibit hatred towards us in different ways.. Our neighbors on the other side of the border are dreaming about destroying us, and this is an expression of the lack of correction in them, which we haven’t provided them with.

According to the structure of the world, we had to pass this correction on to them. It is like a person to whom I owe a million dollars, why? Because that’s the way the world is made, according to all the conditions. If I don’t give him the million dollars, he will have complaints towards me, and I will reply that I don’t know anything about it and that I don’t know what everyone wants of me.

I turn to the UN and to the whole world for help, and the other countries say: “You know what, we think he is right.” It is because they also have a similar feeling, but they are more distant from me. They also feel that I owe them something, not a million dollars like the neighbor, but let’s say ten dollars, and so they can wait in the meantime.

But they feel that I have a debt that is growing from day to day and the interest is growing. So we shouldn’t hope that they will come to us with a bouquet of flowers next time.

The current situation of the Israeli nation is different than it was in the past. We were spoiled by the impressive victory of the Six Day War, and we were very proud of our strength. That’s the way it has been until recently, but in the last operation “Pillar of Cloud” has made a correction for us; for the first time we didn’t come out as winners, but rather confused, perplexed, and beaten. It is a very important lesson, a great correction that occurred in each of us. We have to feel it deeply and not try to erase this unpleasant feeling.

We already understand that it doesn’t matter how we carried on this operation, it could not have ended successfully. It is totally useless, and we are only making the whole world turn more and more against us. For the first time we are starting to understand that we are helpless and cannot do anything. Next time, when things get worse in a couple of years, it will be even worse. This is a conflict that has no solution here and now.

It is good that we have reached this understanding that now forces us to find the real answer. We cannot win by using the same force that those who attack us are using.

I hope that now people will begin to listen to us, since they have no more solutions. Otherwise the situation will simply be hopeless. This problem has no rational solution that is based on sound logic of this world. But eventually, we will be threatened not only by our neighbors that are surrounding us on all sides, but by the whole world that would rise against us and take their side. Even now everyone is supporting them and we are not wanted at all. So what will we do then?

We will have to listen to what the wisdom of Kabbalah says, which explains that the solution is on another plane. It is impossible to solve this problem by conventional means, but only by the help of the upper force. This is why the problem is being revealed!

Everyone must experience the defeat deep in his soul, as if to go through a “washing machine” that washes away the last remnants of pride. At the same time we still acquire a wisdom that enables us to understand that the solution is on another level.

Now we can already turn to the nation openly and say: “Look, we are up against a wall! We can either break it (and the wall is inside us), or this will be our burial place. The situation is the same as the situation before Mt. Sinai where we accepted the condition: Connect as one man in one heart and by that reveal the upper force among us or that here would be our burial place.
