No one in the world is ready to hear Kabbalistic information. Everyone wants to hear information about how to get something, not information on how to give. The fact is that we are built in such a way that we are only ready to receive. “Give away? First of all, I have nothing to give. Second, who should I give it to?”

That is, Kabbalah is entirely different information. It is perceived in the reflected light, in the desire to give, in the desire to love. When such a desire arises, this information enters you and you open up. Otherwise, you are closed up.

To the extent the desire to be connected with others, to love them, and to give them comes from you, to this extent the light from all of them enters precisely into this desire of yours. How can a beginner have such a desire?

Comment: But you give such interesting lessons to the beginners, you find such expressions, such explanations.

My Response: It depends on the audience. Sometimes I hear something interesting and know how to work with it. But this happens very rarely. As a rule, this happens right at the lesson, when I see people, feel them, and according to this have appropriate associations.

Comment: You say that everything depends on the audience you communicate with. For beginners you give one thing, and for others you give another, but you still feel the desire.

My Response: I cannot help it. That is for sure. I cannot sit before beginners and give them complex information and vice versa. That is why the lessons are different. It is not I who determines this but the students.

Question: When you share information with someone, do you not have a sense of its consumers to better understand what they want?

Answer: In the article “Prophecy,” Baal HaSulam writes that he asked the Creator to lower him from the high level he was on so he could write something for people and they would understand what Kabbalah is, get closer to it, and use it. After all, Kabbalah is a purely practical science that needs to be implemented within oneself. How successful he was is a question.

When we read his works, we gradually begin to understand his style and his greatness. He managed to express vast spiritual volumes, properties, and actions very beautifully with a small number of words.

But I do not think he was satisfied with himself. It seems to me that he would have liked to write in such a way that a person, after glancing at the page, would gasp, freeze, and stick to the text as to a picture that would enter him and imprint on him, like an external image on film. This is how Kabbalistic material should be imprinted.

Light is reflected on a person’s desire. Moreover, the difference between the desire and the light is minimal so that the image can be transferred from the light directly to the egoistic desire that is opposite to it.

I do not think Baal HaSulam achieved this. Many read, but understand nothing. People who know Hebrew perfectly, with a university education, come to me and ask: “What is this about?” They cannot connect words into sentences because it is a completely different logic.

I remember myself. I did not understand the structure of the phrase itself: it seemed to be predicate-predicate-predicate, without a subject or verb. That is, it is illogical both in spelling and in vocabulary. So we still have to work as well.

We can see how natural cataclysms can worsen our lives in a domino effect. Nature has a lot of such surprises in store. However, this is not the ingenuity of the Creator; rather, it is our delayed development that provokes forces acting negatively upon us.

We must understand that we need to rethink our philosophy of life regarding where such suffering leads us and what it awakens in us. We must not lose ourselves in oblivion. After all, natural disasters remind us how small a human being is, how insignificant our life is, how we all exist on the fragile crust of the Earth beneath which a massive internal volcano rages, and above us, there is just a thin atmosphere, and beyond that cosmic cold.

Where are we really, and what do we exist within? Let’s take a moment to consider whether there is a way out. The problem of humanity is that it does not see a way out and therefore seeks oblivion.

This is why we must disseminate the wisdom of Kabbalah as effectively as possible because everything happening to us originates from a specific source and serves a specific purpose. Every event is intentional, pre-calculated by nature, and compels us to act.

Nature as a whole is a single, enclosed system that drives us toward perfection, and we must recognize this. We have the opportunity to attain this perfection, this harmony, with all of nature.

When humanity gains the understanding that everything happening is preordained by nature solely to push us forward and that we have the ability to do so correctly and intelligently, then people will no longer seek oblivion. They will have an alternative. Right now, however, they have none.

In its current state, humanity relies on God, on some supernatural forces: “Whatever will be, will be. In the meantime, I will enjoy myself.” “Let’s party and drink, and after that, the flood.” If there is no other way out, at least we can numb ourselves for today and not think about what will happen tomorrow.

But if you tell a person that tomorrow will be bad and yet there is a way to make it good and that they do not have to sacrifice anything for it, that they do not have to suppress themselves or deceive themselves, but: “Look at how together we can make everything wonderful, good, and joyful”—then humanity will have an alternative. And in that case, it will no longer reject this opportunity.

Everything depends on the dissemination of Kabbalah; this is the only issue. We must spread it as quickly and effectively as possible. Ultimately, it turns out that it is not humanity that is to blame for what is happening but rather those who possess and understand this wisdom.

Question: In Kabbalah there is listening and watching. You have repeatedly mentioned that in the past the Torah was learned by heart, meaning it was listened to. Is the difference in perception really that significant?

Answer: The point is that when you load yourself with data, you can freely operate with it and act accordingly. Imagine that, like a computer’s memory, you had all spiritual literature embedded within you.

Not just memorized words and phrases but fully integrated in accordance with your own internal program like a computer filled with connections allowing you to extract, explore, and study information as needed.

For example, I recently had a discussion about the nature of envy, and I had to elaborate on the topic for half an hour: what kind of human trait it is, how it drives a person toward a goal, whether it is good or bad, how it manifests in a group, in a family, within oneself and in relation to the Creator, and so on.

Because I have accumulated a significant amount of Kabbalistic material, I never prepare for lessons or recordings. I arrive, hear the topic from the host, and immediately engage in discussion.

This improvisation is even more enjoyable for me than preparing in advance as I experience various new associations in the moment through the setting and the act of speaking itself. This process goes live immediately, and requires a certain mental effort, a bit of nervous, stressful inner realization. And I love that.

This is possible because I have stored the necessary material within me. I can instantly recall what is said about mutual hatred, envy, egoism, vanity, and other qualities that help a person internally structure himself and achieve a goal.

It is said that envy, hatred, power, vanity, and similar traits drive a person toward their purpose. These qualities exist within us for a reason; they are meant to help us achieve something great when used correctly, not to suppress others, but to learn from them and continually rise higher and higher.

I operate with this knowledge immediately. But if, at that moment, I had to start reading and searching through books like some philosopher, that would not be what Kabbalah demands from a person in their spiritual advancement. In other words, this knowledge, these informational records must be within us.

I am speaking about a Kabbalist-scholar and not about someone who simply moves forward internally. Such a person does not need this; they only need connection with others in order to restore the structure of the collective soul. There, they will perceive their own inner spiritual world and their eternal movement.

Question: So does that mean one does not need to memorize material?

Answer: No, people do not need anything at all except to correct the division between themselves that occurred during our creation.

Question: Mutual responsibility means mutual care and connection. How do you connect opposing, conflicting poles in this?

Answer: Everyone can remain in their own religion, as Baal HaSulam writes, in their own faith, culture, and beliefs. That does not matter. Above all this, like the organs of a single body, we can be opposite to one another, have different opinions, and yet still unite, as our common nature compels us to do.

Question: How will this connection be expressed if we all keep our different opinions?

Answer: It is by the fact that we will strive to ensure that all our actions always lead us toward mutual responsibility and connection.

Comment: If I go in one direction and you in another, it means we are going in different directions! And that is exactly what happens to everyone today.

My Response: Why go in opposite directions? Let us connect our paths!

Question: How can we do that if I want to go one way and you another? I think one way is good, while you believe in a different way.

Answer: That is because you are built one way and I am built differently, meaning we are different by nature, completely opposite even.

But now we are giving each person an education in the spirit of mutual responsibility.

That means that we obligate ourselves, despite our differences, to sit together and find a way to use these differences for our common success, for the benefit of our common goal. And we do this until we reach a state where we see that even your actions, though they may seem to go in the opposite direction of mine, still contribute to our mutual responsibility.

It cannot be otherwise! Nature itself is built in such a way that it consists of opposing forces and actions, yet in the end, they all help achieve balance.

Do wolves and sheep act in the same direction when one eats the other? And yet why does this exist in nature? Are “plus” and “minus” not opposites, where each acts in its own direction? What about pressure and vacuum, attraction and repulsion?

Everything consists of two opposites. There is no force that does not have its counterpart; it could not exist otherwise. We will not be able to achieve mutual responsibility unless all kinds of opposing forces unite within it.

Mutual responsibility is like a sphere, inflated and held together by all these opposing forces.

We need to gather all the forces that exist in the country, in the nation, in society, and in every individual—who himself exists thanks to many opposing forces—so that they all begin to act together. And what will unite them is the common law of mutual responsibility that stands above them all.

I will say one sentence that may tie everything together and lead to agreement: “He who makes peace in the heavens will make peace among us.” Let me explain. We will not find peace, harmony, or reconciliation between us unless it comes from the law of mutual responsibility, the universal, upper law of nature.

This is what is meant by “He who makes peace in the heavens.” That is, the reconciliation that exists at the height of mutual responsibility “will make peace among us.” And then we will see how all these opposing principles, vectors, and desires come together.

Without uniting opposing forces, ideas, and actions, mutual responsibility cannot exist. Otherwise it will turn into just one narrow movement. But if you want, not a small, isolated stream, but a unified space where all branches, factions, directions, and movements within the people, including political parties, come together, then you must elevate the principle of mutual responsibility above them all.

Anyone who opposes mutual responsibility as the upper principle acts as a destroyer. And this is not a matter of right or wrong. No one is redundant, not even if they are a Nazi or an antisemite. We have seen many times how they ultimately help us, like Pharaoh, who “brought the children of Israel closer to the Creator.”

There is no absolute evil or harmful force, we just need to see how all these forces, in the end, integrate with one another. Bringing them together is our true skill.

By uniting our two forces, we become human, Adam, “similar” (Domeh), to the upper nature.

Therefore mutual responsibility is not some narrow ideology within the people. It is a universal method, as Baal HaSulam writes, that must encompass the entire world.

Question: So do we have this magic powder called “mutual responsibility”? Do we take opposing things, sprinkle this magic powder over them, and they unite, just like opposite processes within one body, like inhaling and exhaling?

Answer: People are fundamentally opposite to one another in their entire way of thinking, in their character, habits, in everything. But through global and integral education that teaches that mutual responsibility is a requirement of nature, and that we are subject to this requirement, each person will be able to realize themselves in a form suitable for them, yet all in the direction of mutual responsibility!

And because of this everyone will find the right application for themselves and achieve complete fulfillment.

Baal HaSulam, in the “Introduction to The Book of Zohar,” writes that first and foremost, we must achieve a deep internal spiritual connection with one another in order to form a common vessel, a collective soul, in which the upper force can be revealed. Then, through the presence of this upper force within us, we will draw the rest of the world toward us.

If we rely on what we understand from the sources, our task is to elevate ourselves within this unified force, toward a common goal, toward attainment and the revelation of the Creator. The world will follow naturally, although we should not neglect dissemination.

Here, we can use a very interesting example. When you fly on an airplane, you are shown a safety video explaining how to act in an emergency. If you are traveling with a child, you must first put on your own oxygen mask and life vest before assisting the child.

Now, imagine that the plane is in a nosedive, and the flight attendant urgently instructs passengers to put on their masks and vests, emphasizing that they must first take care of themselves. Yet your natural instinct is to help the small child next to you, how can you possibly think of yourself first? Instinctively, you rush to protect the child.

Are the airlines correct in enforcing this rule? The answer is absolutely yes. If you are not alive, who will take care of the child?

Therefore, you must take care of yourself first. This is the strict order of correction. If there is no rescuer, then the drowning person will certainly perish. But if the rescuer is alive and has all the necessary means, they have the ability to save others.

Thus, after establishing a certain connection between ourselves and the world with our methodology, books, films, the Internet, and everything else we have created, our next step is to seriously elevate ourselves so that all the points in the heart unite and form a single, strong spiritual Kli (vessel). This Kli will become the magnet that draws others in. They will find us because we are already present in the global media with our materials.

Thousands and even hundreds of thousands of people are beginning to approach this. They rush, and gather on this crusade, just as pilgrims from all over the world flock to, say, Mecca.

So here too our movement begins to gradually transform from tiny drops of water into streams, from streams into rivers, and in the end, it will all come to a large flow.

Question: Have you had experience with spiritual attainment in previous incarnations before coming into this world in your current form?

Answer: Probably, yes, as far as I understand myself. Essentially, it was the so-called “Spanish variant.” But it does not matter. What is the difference? It does not change anything. After all, we all come from somewhere.

All souls have undergone countless incarnations of all kinds. In truth, we do not know why things turn out as they do. Personally, I can say that I have been “rewarded” with the responsibility to carry out the work I am doing now. Of course, on one hand, it is something honorable, special, and respected. But on the other hand, I feel heavily burdened by it, though I cannot argue against what has been placed upon me from above.

If I had the choice, I would have picked a different role for myself. I would have preferred to be a deeply introspective Kabbalist working in seclusion, without engaging in the minor details of everyday life like this current level of practical dissemination. Even though I understand that dissemination is the most important thing, it somehow does not align with my nature.

Perhaps I do not fully understand myself yet, as I seem to disagree with the Creator in this regard, but I would prefer to be a reclusive scholarly Kabbalist, someone who studies, attains, and develops inner processes. Yet here I am, put in a position like a traffic officer at a crossroads who directs pedestrian flows this way and that way. To be honest, I do not feel equipped for this role.

I do not know Hebrew or Aramaic as well as I should. In general I struggle with languages, aside from Russian, of course, even with English. But what does the Russian language have to do with Kabbalah? Absolutely nothing.

It feels as though I have been “decapitated” and placed, essentially unfit, in this role. And inwardly I do not agree with it. I feel obligated to do this because the importance of the goal compels me. But fundamentally I would never have chosen myself for this job. I would have chosen someone else: someone knowledgeable, understanding, strict, and strong, someone with immense capabilities and potential.

But as the saying goes, “Man proposes, and God dispose”; He disposes with power and might, and does as He sees fit. Of course, we must accept this, even though it is entirely unclear what is happening.

Baal HaSulam, clearly, was a great sage, a great philosopher, a great erudite, a multifaceted individual with a profound understanding of all of creation, from the lowest levels of our world to the heights of the spiritual world. He truly deserved to lead people.

And now, look at this world, this humanity, all these miserable, confused people wandering as if in a fog. And who am I? Essentially someone just like them, merely given the task of stepping ahead by one single step.

When you walk an uncharted path, you must proceed with a staff in hand following the one ahead of you, stepping precisely in the same spots they stepped in; only then can you avoid falling.

This is the rule: when treading untrodden trails, you must follow closely behind the guide, step for step, with a staff in hand. But here you practically have no staff, no guide ahead of you, nor their tracks. And this is natural because we are indeed traveling a new path. Perhaps it has to be this way: to move forward through trial and error, through searching. This is the path by which a new person is created.

We do not understand what the Creator is doing with us. Birth arises from nothingness, from emptiness. Even the books we have offer us nothing. Of course, we can seemingly understand a little with our earthly minds, and fill ourselves with some small amount of understanding, some little contentment. But all of this is absolutely unimportant.

It is all just to calm us a little, to persuade us to continue.

But in reality, the whole path lies only in rising above yourself, like a magnet lifting you with the upper light—above your sensations, your knowledge, and your understanding, above everything you have in all your feelings and intellect. Only in this way do you ascend, like a balloon rising into the air. And somewhere out there, in the unknown, after reaching some peak, another state opens up to you.

Question: Every morning, you give three hours of lessons, and throughout the day you record a vast amount of material. Some people think that when you receive energy through a crowd, you enjoy it, feel empowered, and rule over it.

Is it really possible to structure your schedule so that you enjoy yourself every day by supposedly channeling energy through yourself?

Answer: In truth, it is an immense pleasure to see thousands of people in front of me who want to reveal the upper world, spirituality, and the Creator, who want to unite and correct our state. I gain tremendous inspiration from this.

At the same time, when I look at my students on the screens in front of me, I see that some of them doze off, fall asleep, or are in various difficult states, disconnected from the material being taught.

Of course, I understand and love them. I was like that myself. Many times I wanted the same thing during lessons.

I absolutely do not want to say that every day, by giving lessons, I am making a sacrifice. Not at all! I feel immense inspiration and significance in these lessons because I know what they do for the world.

I know that thousands of people live around these lessons, that they are a source of energy for them. Without them, they would feel bad, would be unable to find themselves, would get stuck in depression, and would never think about the Creator. Life would feel heavy for them.

I am proud and grateful for the opportunity I have. And of course, the strength for this comes from above.

Question: If a person leaves during the study of The Book of Zohar, for example, to disseminate, does he miss out by doing so?

Answer: No. If he feels The Zohar is not for him, if he is entirely out of touch with this book, every minute of the lesson feels like immense suffering, and he is not awaiting any result, there is nothing you can do here! It is said “a person learns where his heart leads him.” That is why you cannot learn like that.

I would advise such people, for their sake, to do something else—to work on our materials or to engage in dissemination during this time.

Question: Would people not run away?

Answer: I am not concerned about that. I am not worried about the number of students: who comes or leaves, it does not matter to me. Let it be 15 people instead of 300. I do not chase quantity.

I know humanity will follow a small group anyway. It will have no other choice. But this small group will be a high-quality, valuable group. And there is no quality in quantity, so I never look at quantity.

My mission is to create spiritual leadership for the world. This is work on the quality of the people who will be part of this group, and it is gradually being organized. The women there will be on equal footing with men. However, “on equal footing” is relative; it depends on a woman’s involvement in spiritual work, in her own way.

And then various waves, so to speak, or circles, will form around this group. These 300 people will form such circles out of tens of thousands of people in the world until they come to the point where all of humanity will gradually join them. But the most important is the head and a few auxiliary circles around it.

Therefore I do not mind that not everyone studies The Book of Zohar, and not all are so deeply immersed in it. They are not able to. A few dozen people are enough. There is no need for more!

In fact, the brain that controls the body is like a tiny nut, not a pound of gray matter. The gray matter is the maintenance staff, the center’s workers. The cognitive center is literally the size of an olive, even smaller. And it controls the entire body.

So I am not worried about the quantity. We have free entry and exit, and there are no restrictions. People come from abroad and go back. Who, when, or where does not concern me at all! I do my part. As a result, the light affects the person, and thus he comes to the goal.

Comment: This is like a drug. “Please! Everything is free!” And once a person gets hooked, he can no longer leave.

My Response: That is a different story! You feel the importance here! You feel that without it the rest of your life is an animal existence. You cannot let this happen! After all, you want to be a human being. We have inner needs to accomplish something, to find a way out of our lives, to see a healthy result.
