Answer: Because it is the time of the revelation of the Shechina.

Question: The more you imagine yourself and your friends near the Creator, the more evil thoughts arise like we are no longer worthy to be near the Creator. What does this indicate?

Answer: It means that you must continue. The Creator made us so ugly; therefore, He cares for us to change and ascend.

Question: What does establishing oneself in faith by quantity and quality mean?

Answer: Quantity is determined by how many times you try to approach the Creator during the day. And quality is determined by what you ask from Him, how you wish to join Him. Then, you will have the proper connection with the Creator.

Question: Where is the line between hatred for evil and self-flagellation so as not to turn into a fool who sits and eats his own flesh? What can protect us from falling into this state?

“One Accepts One”

248.03Question: What does it mean to build a middle line from below that will correspond to the middle line coming from above?

Answer: The middle line coming from above is what builds the Kelim. And the middle line coming from below is our Kelim, which we form from our corrected desires.

That is, the upper light prepared by us in the middle line directed from bottom to top will descend into the Kli along the path of the middle line from top to bottom. It is called “One accepts one.”

Transfer Life to Holiness

947Question: What is the correct way to transfer all of one’s life to holiness?

Answer: You can transform your life into holiness only by constantly thinking about becoming closer with one another in order to come together in one single desire.

You have to constantly check what your unity means. Is it good or are some corrections and more closeness necessary? Then you need to raise these still uncorrected properties to correction.

Question: When we unite between ourselves, it works. But when we enter the outside world, we are torn apart. How can we keep this inner part within us?

Answer: You should try. You should ask the Creator. The most important thing is to pray so He would hold us together. After all, it is His work, it is His obligation. He is waiting for this and ready to do this.

Working with Each Other’s Desires

528.01Question: What does it mean to regard each desire of our friends in the group as our own desire?

Answer: Accept the desires of our friends as our own.

Personal Pressure

198Question: If the Creator puts pressure on us, it turns out that He does not put pressure on everyone personally but on the group and the relationship between us. How can we make a restriction and build a screen together?

Answer: The fact is that so far, this work is individual for each of you. You must perceive the impact of the Creator as personal pressure.

He pressures everyone by wanting you to move forward, receive His light, and see how lucky you are or not. The Creator sends you these signals so that you can determine the state of connection that you are in with Him.

Not To Worship Other Gods

515.02Comment: In Shamati 88, Baal HaSulam talks about idolatry. You mentioned that idolatry is the belief in other forces, but that also comes from the Creator.

My Response: If you believe that everything comes from one Creator, then you have no problem.

The article discusses how in past centuries, a thousand or two thousand years ago, people believed in upper forces that resided in trees, water, rivers, and the sea. So they worshiped various objects and natural phenomena. Today this is almost nonexistent.

Question: Is the exaltation of someone also idolatry, and how should we react when this happens within us?

Answer: If we elevate certain individuals above others, we must be cautious to ensure it does not resemble worshiping other gods or idols.

Grasping onto the Creator

509Question: What do you do in a state of complete disappointment and lowliness when you do not feel a connection with the group and consequently do not have the opportunity to connect with the Creator?

When a person sees that he is incapable of doing anything, he has the opportunity to grasp onto the Creator and see that the Creator gives him a chance to rise.

Answer: Yes, then we can respond to the Creator exactly as He requires from us.
