Question: For our great teachers there were conditions to hide the secrets of the Torah and reveal the tastes of the Torah. Answer: Not really. It depends on how close you are to others who are moving with you toward the attainment of the soul. After all, we attain a common soul.

Question: Were the great Kabbalists forbidden to reveal the secrets of the Torah?

Answer: No, it depends. Otherwise today we would not have any Kabbalistic books at all.

Question: Were there any Kabbalists in history who fell from their degree?

Answer: No. The Kabbalist goes through such conditions when he already holds on to everything with absolute confidence, and no one will ever push him off this path.

All of the souls extend from the soul of Adam HaRishon, for after he sinned in the sin of the Tree of Knowledge, his soul divided into 600,000 souls (Rabash, Article 10, 1984 “What Is the Degree One Should Achieve in Order Not to Have to Reincarnate?”).

Adam HaRishon is a system of desires, which in the beginning were as one desire, and then shattered into 600,000 parts, then into many more parts, and more, so that in each of the created beings, there is some part of the common soul “Adam.”

The common soul Adam  HaRishon represents all of humanity, and its particles exist in each of us.

From the point of view of Kabbalah, the common soul is a system of desires. In our world, desires are graded as follows: food, sex, family, wealth, honor, power, and knowledge. The totality of all desires from the smallest to the largest in Kabbalah is called the system of Adam HaRishon.

Every person has some part of the common soul, and everyone must take care to correct it from being egoistic to altruistic.

Comment: Please comment on a verse by the ancient Persian poet Sa’adi. It is written in gold letters and adorns the pediment of the building of the UN headquarters in New York.

Sa’adi writes:

           All human beings are members of one frame,
          Since all, at first, from the same essence came.
          When time afflicts a limb with pain,
          The other limbs cannot at rest remain.
          If thou feel not for other’s misery,
          A human being is no name for thee.

It feels like he was a Kabbalist too.

My Response: Did you and I together visit a Sufi in England?

Answer: One frame is one person.

Question: How does spiritual correction happen?

Question: When did the shattering of the general system happen, and what is the meaning of this phenomenon?

Answer: The shattering of the Kelim (Vessels) occurred at the very beginning of the creation of reality. After all, in order to create it, we needed such desires that would be opposed to the single force of nature—the Creator.

The Creator is the desire to bestow, fulfill, love, and unite. In order for the opposite desire to appear, which would be in some way different from the Creator and could be called creation, the desire to give was shattered into many small egoistic desires.

Every desire thinks only about how to fulfill itself. This is how our nature appeared from which we then evolved. The formation of egoistic desires is the process of shattering.

These desires have become the foundation of our world: inanimate, vegetative, animate, and human nature.

Before the shattering, one system of Adam HaRishon existed in the universe.

This organism was in complete harmony with the Creator with a positive desire to bestow, to nourish, to love.

However, in order to create something opposite and create our world out of opposites, the system underwent a shattering, which is called the sin of Adam.

More precisely, it was not the desires themselves that were shattered, but specifically the connections, that is, intentions. Thus, the entire nature turned out to be completely broken into the smallest parts, which then began to reassemble but no longer according to the law of mutual bestowal, attraction, and love, but on the contrary, on mutually beneficial terms. This is how the egoistic nature of our world was created.

In other words, the breaking of altruistic connections between all forces caused the emergence of egoistic connections. All of this, as Kabbalah describes, happened before the Big Bang in the world of forces. And then, through the gradual coarsening of these forces, our earthly nature and we emerged.
