Question: Why did Baal HaSulam write and then burn his manuscripts?

Answer: Why give them to people if they will just confuse them? Today we have a lot of his manuscripts—some of them we have published, some of them we have not. What is the use of reading them if a person is not at this level? He does not even understand the words that are written there because they represent some sensations, definitions, and some levels in the world of Atzilut, for example, GAR de Atzilut.

What can he do with what he reads? He has some nonsense in his head.

Question: Explain the fact itself: why did he write this?

Answer: That is another thing. He wrote in order to help the world. When a Kabbalist expresses his revelations in written or oral form, at the same time he brings down the upper attainments into our world, he as if attracts the upper source into it, and he thus brings our world closer to the source of light. It helps us.

Baal HaSulam has done so much for our world! He has advanced it for hundreds of years, and for hundreds of difficult years at that.

Indeed, there is a prayer for it—that the Creator will help him by making him feel the love of his friend and make his friend close to his heart (Rabash, Letter No. 40).

I would say it in other words: when there is no distance between me and a friend, we have become so close, then the Creator appears in this absence of distance.

After all, He does not need any corporeal distances or places. He appears where this place no longer exists. If we create such a state between us, we will reveal the Creator in it.

Therefore, let’s direct our heart and attach our heart to the hearts of the friends in order to move forward a little more, and ask the Creator to reveal our movement toward Him and reveal Himself in it. This should work out.

Question: We are very eager to love our friends and to work in the center of the ten. How, based on this, can we pray for all the friends in Arava? I know you are saying, “You must try.” Maybe you can share your experience because we are going through a new state?

Answer: Prayer can happen in the case where you build the desired state that is in front of you for yourself, and you can reach it. In fact, that is a prayer.

Prayer should be in feeling, when you literally approach this state and build it in your imagination, feeling, mind, in everything you can, you literally put it in front of you and enter into it, and want to live in it.

Therefore, you should try hard. Try all together. We just need to see that these things should already materialize so that we can live by this.

Question: Do I connect with my friends at this convention physically the way we did at the convention in Arava?

Answer: Today we have much more opportunity than before to connect spiritually. Previously, many people came to us who did not know at all where they were going. Among them were those who were not in continuous contact with us.

Now we are in a state where we feel more, know more, see each other, are constantly in connection with each other, and we are strengthening it.

The world too, as we see, is constantly changing. We must understand that all these changes in the world are for the better. All this is only in order to bring us closer to the final correction so that we would shed our egoistic skin and unite with each other with naked hearts.

I hope this is our nearest future.

Question: What should be the main task of women during this congress of connection? How do we pray? How do we keep the intention? How do we help the men? How can we be in a unified state?

Answer: Women really know how to pray, they know how to ask. It is very important that they participate and add their prayers to ours.

We know how much a woman can support, push, and direct a man to the right goal. So I think their participation with us is simply a necessity. I am very glad that they are with us. Only together.

Why does disseminating the science of Kabbalah help us so much during a descent? The fact is that I receive the upper force through the people to whom I disseminate because in all of them there is the Creator, the Shechina.

And by advancing them to the Creator, I am doing a lot of useful work that pleases the Creator because He wants everyone to approach Him. Therefore, with my work, I bring good to everyone, including myself.

Then from the Light of Ein Sof, a single line hung down from Above, lowered into that space.

And through that line, He emanated, created, formed, and made all the worlds
(Ari, The Tree of Life).

The line entering the empty space is the influence of the Creator, who influences the desire created by Him, located in this void. Thus, this desire begins to react to the influence of the Creator (to this line) and gradually transform itself inside this void.

This line is not the Creator Himself, but the thought, the plan, that exists before any actions.

Everything described in the book The Tree of Life was attained by its author, the great Kabbalist of the 16^th century the Ari.

And every person has to attain this.

Question: If a person who has attained the spiritual world loses his contact with the Creator, and this is called sleep, can sleep be called a spiritual descent?

Answer: While sleeping, a Kabbalist is in a different state than an ordinary person because by the nature of his activity he is always striving for the Creator and wants to be in contact with Him. Even in his sleep, he subconsciously continues his activities.

But in spirituality, the state of sleep has nothing to do with a descent. Physiologically, a person falls, say, from the tenth step to the sixth step, breaks away, and departs from his activity. But this is a forced measure that keeps him in order to continue to work actively the next day. We cannot avoid it because our animalistic part requires certain care.

On the spiritual level, while in a state of sleep, meaning being in minimal contact with the Creator, a person continues to work in the way that is required for his soul. For him, this is a natural state, a spiritual reboot to rise to the next degree.
