Amalek is a property very close to us. And although it seems to be an absolute evil, an obstacle that must be destroyed erasing even the memory of it, it is known that the Creator did not create anything superfluous, everything is only for the benefit of our development.
And therefore Amalek is a property that helps us grow correctly and protects us all the time. As if we are walking along the road and wherever we can fall, go astray, thorns stick out, he warns us not to step there. This is how Amalek constantly guides us in the right direction.
The desire comes from Amalek and unwillingness also comes from him. Amalek means for my own sake (Al MenAt LEKabel), an egoistic desire. It is written: “I have created the evil inclination; I have created the Torah as a spice.” The evil inclination stands directly against the Torah, the upper light, and both of them work on us to direct us toward the middle line between the two.
We must treat Amalek with respect as a very important property without which we would not be separated from the Creator and would never become creatures. After all, thanks to the evil inclination that pushes us away from the Creator and incites us against Him, we begin to notice the Creator. Amalek helps us by opposing the Creator, revealing His properties, and showing how you can find them instead of the properties of Amalek, that is, the egoistic intention.
Amalek skillfully shows us how much we care only about ourselves and demonstrates to us that we must act in opposition to this. Thus, he teaches us the skill in this work. We will learn how to work with our evil inclination and use it correctly, because it is this inclination that helps us become like the Creator.

New Life 1303 – A Dialogue That Brings People Together
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and NitzahMazoz
In order to conduct a dialogue that brings people together, the two sides should know what each one wants. The first phase of a dialogue that brings people together is to get closer to each other and not to think that the other intends to gain from one’s destruction. The dialogue should be open and warm and there should be a feeling that we can fulfill each other and build a mutual connection.
According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, we can learn to build a bridge between our desires, thoughts, habits, and attributes, a bridge above all the forms of the ego that differentiate us. After the stage of getting closer, then comes the main part of the dialogue which is to understand the conditions of attaining the goal. The third phase is to understand that we have gotten closer as a result of our dialogue and that both sides are satisfied. A dialogue that brings people together calms us and also gives us a positive impression of the whole process.

Michael Laitman, On Quora: “What do you think about 150 mass shootings taking place so far in the United States?“
Meaninglessness and purposelessness are the key problems. More and more people have no idea what they live for, and life with no meaning and purpose makes human life lose its importance and preciousness. Mass shooters thus feel human life as cheap and worthless, and the more this meaninglessness and purposelessness spreads throughout human society today, the more mass shooters surface.
The remedy to this problem is simply education.
Education does not mean the education systems that abound today, which are mostly systems for acquiring knowledge. The aim of education should not be to simply fill job positions and create a workforce. On the contrary, education needs to aim at creating happy, fulfilled, confident and well-connected human beings. And this is possible if we learn why we are alive, what the meaning of life is, who we are, what is our nature, how nature works and how we can elevate ourselves to a dimension above life and death, above love and hatred—to realize principles and values that are eternal and whole, and which lead us all to a new harmonious state that completely fulfills us.
If we all knew and felt how nature operates, then we would become more considerate of other people, because we would clearly sense our interdependence.
When we feel that we are all parts of a single closed system, then we would be incapable of causing any harm to others, because we would feel how doing so solves nothing. On the contrary, we would feel that harming others destroys us.
Therefore, the alleviation of future mass shootings and all kinds of other violence and suffering that we inflict on each other depends on our education. If we fail to upgrade our education to raise human beings who know why they are alive, how nature works, and how they can achieve lasting genuine happiness, then we can expect more and more mass shootings and other tragedies to befall us.

Question: In every person, at every stage of his spiritual development, the desires of the “mixed multitude” are manifested and we must fight them. How can we fight them? What are they? Willpower?
Answer: This is the analysis of one’s internal states and constant work with the texts of Rabash and Baal HaSulam.
You must see how all this shapes you, and how you filter out what belongs to the external world and add what belongs to your inner world, that is, how you separate the property of Malchut from the property of Bina. This is how you move forward.
The properties of bestowal, love, and connection with others become more and more important and define for you in comparison with the desire to receive a reward, which is originally inherent in you.
Comment: But in order to analyze all this, it is necessary to be in a group of like-minded people, otherwise it is impossible.
My Response: Naturally! Only this way! All these desires cannot manifest themselves in one person if there is no connection and interaction with other people.

My new article on Linkedin “Israel – an Illusory Defeat of Covid”
As of Sunday, April 18, 2021, wearing masks in open spaces is no longer mandatory in Israel. For some time now, new cases have been dropping and hospitals are growing emptier as more patients leave for home and far fewer come in. The majority of the population is inoculated and it seems as though Israel has defeated Covid-19. I wish it were that easy, but I understand that this cannot be the case. We haven’t completed the process that instigated the arrival of the virus, so I am certain that if not Covid, something else, worse than Covid, will come along and pick up where Covid left off.
Without hope, people have nothing to live for. They sink into depression, substance abuse, commit suicide, or seek refuge in violence, as the US has seen over the past few months, with 147 mass shootings since January, according to CNN.
I’m not trying to scare people, but we need to be aware because awareness can help us prepare, and if we don’t prepare, it will hurt much worse. The current vaccines are like aspirin; they treat the symptoms but they don’t cure the disease. And since the disease keeps developing regardless of the symptoms, the next time it breaks out, its symptoms will be much worse. As long as we keep trying to suppress the symptoms, our solutions will be temporary and will end up with worse outbreaks of the illness once they stop working. If we want a real defeat over Covid, as opposed to the current, illusory one, we must uproot its cause.
The root cause of Covid, and of virtually all our problems, is emotional rather than physical. More specifically, it is social rather than individual. The sickness is not in each person individually but in the whole of society. However, in each person, the same sickness manifests in different ways. Just as Covid can manifest in many symptoms—sometimes so unrelated that physicians fail to detect that they are caused by the coronavirus—this root cause generates many illnesses that seem unrelated, yet stem from the same septic seed.
That cause is social alienation. Social alienation, which has worsened dramatically since the turn of the century, is depleting our emotional strength and physical resilience, draining our spirit from optimism and hope, and makes life seem purposeless.
Without hope, people have nothing to live for. They sink into depression, substance abuse, commit suicide, or seek refuge in violence, as the US has seen over the past few months, with 147 mass shootings since January, according to CNN. We may not all feel pathological symptoms, but we should have no qualms about it; we are all affected. Our physical health deteriorates, our mental health declines, and our spirit becomes drained.
We’re making great efforts to legalize drugs in order to make life’s burdens easier to bear, but we’re not making any serious efforts to remove the burden altogether, even though we can. If we remove the burden of alienation, we won’t need to disconnect from reality into a dream world since reality will be great, positive, optimistic. Who wants to disconnect from life when there are great promises ahead and a clear path to achieving them?
If we start focusing on human connection, bonding, increasing mutual understanding, empathy, and mutual responsibility, we will dramatically improve every aspect of our lives. We will nearly eliminate depression related disorders, all forms of violence will drop to near zero, people’s overall health and vitality will skyrocket, and crime will virtually disappear. Instead of feeling locked inside our homes, we will feel belonging. We will feel connected to our families, to our communities, towns, and to the country, and we will gladly share and contribute what we can to the overall well-being.
A society whose members feel responsible and accountable for one another truly cares for its townsfolk and countryfolk. Its members don’t need policing; their concern for one another guides them to behave not only in a civil manner toward others, but to actively seek the well-being of their community members. Think of where we are today compared to the kind of society we need to be in, and you will understand what harm we’re doing to ourselves through our mutual hostility.
Our hampered immune system, debilitated by endless attempts to protect ourselves from others’ ill-will, is losing its ability to protect us physically. Thus, increasingly susceptible, we are becoming “sitting ducks” for viruses, which sicken us in droves. If we want to defeat Covid-19, and the viruses that will soon follow, we must focus on defeating alienation.

Thou Shalt Have No Other Gods Before Me: The meaning is that you will not have any other pointer in the world to direct you to the goal of your life, to the goal of creation. There will be no other quality before you except for the quality of bestowal and love, which is the symbol of the Creator whom you will worship.
What does worship mean? To see this as the highest value, the highest importance!
Comment: But life functions in such a way that I am, on the contrary, torn apart by a million desires, both mine and of others.
My Response: That is why you are commanded to make sure that all your desires and movements, in whatever direction, are tied to attaining the Creator. He must be your only goal in everything you do!
Question: What should I do for this?
Answer: First of all, you should want it to happen. And then see how you can arrange your life in such a way.
As a summary of your life, you must come to the conclusion that the Creator will be in front of you as your close partner, as a friend, as a ruler and ruled by you. You must enter into such a connection of mutual love, mutual adhesion, with Him, that there is none else besides Him. He will take over your entire world including your wife, your children, and your boss.
Comment: But we must get to this.
My Response: Of course. This is what life is given for!
Question: So what should I do?
Answer: You should realize the commandment “Thou Shalt Have No Other Gods Before Me.” In principle, it is realized in a group, through studying Kabbalah, when a person gradually begins to understand how to implement it. In general, the entire science of Kabbalah is intended for implementing this commandment.

Question: Why does the Pharaoh say after each plague: “I will let you go out, and you will sacrifice to the Lord, your God, in the desert, but do not go far away; entreat on my behalf.” and then he adds, “No! You will not go anywhere!”
Answer: It is the nature of man that says to him: “Yes, you can break away from egoism, you can go forward because you see that these blows help you.” But they do not really help to get out of Egypt.
They only help you rise above them when you prefer to be with the Creator instead of being in Egypt in spite of all your egoistic rewards. Otherwise, you will never get out of Egypt! Only without any egoistic benefits.
Just close your eyes and that is it: in a dark night, in a hurry, almost without collecting anything, run away from your egoism. It is the only way you can get away from it.
Question: The Creator repeats every time: “And the blood will be for you a sign upon the houses where you will be, and I will see the blood and skip over you, and there will be no plague to destroy when I smite the land of Egypt.” It is as if all this falls on the Egyptians’ heads, and the Jews stand apart. Why does this happen?
Answer: Because all the aspirations of a person toward the Creator, which are called Israel in him or the Jews in him remain intact because they lead a person to this goal. And everything that does not lead to it but is in the egoism gradually dies away in the process of fighting it. And a person must pass ten blows in order to completely break away from egoism and start his new path.

The science of Kabbalah is revealed to the extent that humanity is disappointed in its development.
Gradually, we will come to a state where humanity will understand that we have a means by which we can push the boundaries of this world, see the second half of creation, and understand where we are going. When we combine these two halves of nature into one, everything will become clear to us. Then we will find happiness, including in marriage.
I do not think that without the knowledge of Kabbalah, a person will be able to build a proper family, raise children. This is absolutely out of the question.
The current school and the current relationship between boys and girls does not give any happiness and fulfillment. Therefore, we cannot do without Kabbalistic knowledge of how to raise children, how to organize children’s groups and education at school, and how to build a family and social relations between people, groups of people, and between nations.
All this we will see only from the part of the world that is hidden from us—the spiritual half. Seeing the second half, we will be able to correctly build the first one.
Let us hope that people will want to see it, take the Kabbalistic method of revealing the world and make their lives happy. At least for the sake of our children.

Question: People say that it is not bad to dream. What if you really want something in corporeality and sometime later it happens just the way you imagined?
Answer: Our thoughts are a most powerful force. We can invoke negative states by evil thoughts and so it is best to think positively as much as we can and to prepare ourselves correctly for positive attributes and influences. It totally depends on us.
What is more, women’s thoughts are much more powerful than men’s thoughts. If women make efforts to be connected between them correctly by positive thoughts, they will do much greater work than men. That’s the way it is by nature.
