The Book of Zohar, “YaYera, Item 114: “When Adam HaRishon sinned, he sinned with the tree of knowledge of good and evil, as it is written, ‘but of the tree of the knowledge.’ And he sinned in it and caused death to the whole world.”

The world is everything I feel. When, on a spiritual level, I started to use my egoism, then immediately my world, all my sensations were reduced from the huge, higher, immense, eternal, perfect state in which I was to a small, flawed, egoistic, dim, temporary world, which quickly ends with my death.

This is exactly what happened in the sensations of people who fell from the spiritual level to the corporeal one.

I feel the whole world inside me. Everything that enters my senses is formed, added up, integrated within me, and is given to me as a picture of my universe, my world, what I absorb into myself.

If however, spiritual sensory organs are formed in me and they are practically immense, then I seem to get out of myself, out of my limitations, and I start to perceive nature in its eternal perfection.

Question: When I feel bad I feel emptiness. What is the best thing to do in this situation according to the wisdom of Kabbalah? Should I change myself, change my thoughts, start reading something, listen to something, or think that it is from the Creator?

Answer: When I feel bad, first of all, I begin to read the article “There is None Else Besides Him” from the book Shamati. Then I read from the Book of Psalms or listen to my favorite lessons. Overall, there are many articles and excerpts that can help us in difficult moments.

But the best thing to do, if you can, is to immediately delve into the group, to connect to it, or to find some interesting lesson to listen to. In the past, when there were no computers, I used to write down parts of the lesson that I found interesting, but today you can just collect them on your computer or on your mobile phone. Press a button and read a quote or listen to part of the lesson and the bad mood you are in will immediately disappear without a trace.

Question: Does this mean that you have built a safety zone in advance?

Answer: Of course. If I know in advance that I will feel bad, I must make sure that I will be secure, just as we purchase insurance in our world, like health insurance, etc. I must do that, and then I seemingly make all the unpleasant events pass very quickly.

Question: What would likeness to the Creator give me?

Answer: A lot. Being like the Creator.

Question: Is it worth it?

Answer: They say yes. 🙂

My Response: The fact is that advertising cannot be given here because what can you offer now, in advance, before a person starts doing something for the sake of another?

Comment: Describe what a wonderful state it is to be like the Creator. So many different books have been written, but nothing about that.

My Response: A lot has been written. But all this will not give us anything and will not help us in any way.

Comment: Let us say that a person understands what it means to be a millionaire. Much has been written about this.

My Response: Yes, and besides, he sees examples in front of him. Here, there are no examples, since the similarity to the Creator does not fit into our consciousness or into any examples of our world.

Question: How can we, people, be? Something is demanded of us, but we do not understand what it is.

Answer: That is why the Creator gradually develops us to a state so that we feel that we cannot live in any system of laws except love your neighbor. After all, all other laws simply do not give us the opportunity to exist.

Question: Are we being developed by the method of the opposite state? From denial?

Answer: Of course.

Question: Must we renounce our present state?

Answer: It will be so that you will want to renounce it.

Question: Where is the freedom of choice here?

Answer: Freedom of choice is not here! It is out there, further on.

Question: So, at these stages, does nature give us freedom?

Answer: No. Here we are urged on, as they say with a stick, to happiness like little animals. To be or not to be similar to the Creator does not depend on us. All this is recorded in our program. All the same, we will come to this state. There are only two ways: fast and pleasant or long with suffering. So choose!

Question: Why do people who come even just a little in touch with Kabbalah start to change for the better within a few months? They come out of depression, interact better with the world around them, make peace with their enemies, and so on.

Answer: The fact is that it gives them hope, shows them the light at the end of the tunnel, that life has meaning, has a continuation.

That is, they reveal a broad picture, a panel of the entire nature of human interaction and how it all rises up to the next dimension.

An anonymous student wrote me a letter saying that he can’t help but tell people the truth. He says that if he keeps it to himself, he feels bad about it, doesn’t know how to deal with it, and he asked what he should do about it.

Well, first of all, he doesn’t know the truth. What he knows is only what his ego tells him. Moreover, his “outcry” isn’t really coming from the depth of the heart, but from the ego; he wants to force his opinion about what is true and what is untrue on others. He thinks he understands people’s situation, what they’re doing wrong and what they can do right, so he wants to force his understanding on them.

There is nothing here but ego, which I would say must be destroyed altogether. Who gives him the right to force his opinions, feelings, and preferences on others? Did anyone ask him to do this or expects this of him? Even if he thinks that he will do them a favor by this, it still doesn’t give him the right to soak them up with his understandings, conclusions, preferences, and goals.

If you want to know the truth, then the truth is that people have to be given free choice; they need to choose their own truth, and that’s the end of it. This is the most important principle in education—for children, as well as for grownups.

What he should do is keep silent, and understand how self-absorbed he is, to the point that he must stuff others with his views. This should be this student’s lesson and a lesson for all of us when we feel superior or more knowledgeable than others. It should also teach us how to relate to people who “tell us the truth.”

Question: Airbnb, a company that books accommodations around the world, has published a report with forecasts for the travel market for 2021. They believe that business travel will not return. Also people will often travel by car and not far from home. Fifty-two percent would prefer to leave their phones at home. Tourists do not want to spend time on photos and posting them on social networks, they are not interested in it and, also, so that no-one would connect with them.

At the same time, the majority of tourists are ready for new trips again, and 54% have either already booked tickets or are planning a tour today.

The first question is this: how can the desire to travel even if you are threatened with infection be explained? Haven’t we learned the lessons of the coronavirus?

Answer: The fact is that we do not live simply because we exist like cats that lie in the sun and bask. We still live by fulfillment.

And then I buy a ticket to somewhere, maybe not far away, but abroad, where something is new, different, and I have a different feeling, and I’m traveling.

Question: And no coronavirus can stop it? Does it live in a person?

Answer: It lives in the person. I think people will start traveling after all. It will be possible to travel to certain countries, and maybe to all of them. And they will come out of this state.

Without travel, there is no way to get any renewal. When you get into an unfamiliar environment, you become a child. And this state of carelessness, surprise, and discovery is very important for a person. Moreover, if he is already in old age (old like a young child), then it is very important for him, it’s renewing.

Question: Are you like a child when you travel?

Answer: Sure. Today we will go there, then we will go here and do something else! This childishness that wakes up in us, some kind of carefree feeling, is precisely what attracts us.

Question: But if we can travel to our inner world, will we see a bright world there?

Answer: In this we will see everything! We will see the most important thing: The cause and effect of everything that happens. I am a great optimist. It will happen and it will happen very quickly, and I will see it together with all of humanity.

We will come to discover the full depth of nature in its true form. We will see all the causes and effects, everything that happens, everything that we produce in nature, what reactions we awaken and why. In general, we will see everything in front of us, all the worlds—huge, huge, and all this will be in our attainment.

This is precisely the inner fulfillment of a person, above this there is nothing, there is nothing more complete than this, and this captures a person so much that he no longer needs anything. This is not a restriction or a stop on the way, it it is really for all that a person is created.

Comment: We have now entered the era of post-truth, an era of disbelief, although this is not such a new phenomenon. Throughout human development, stories of entire nations have been invented.

Society first devours some kind of fictional story, and later it turns out that nothing was like that at all. And a person, not knowing whom to believe, stops believing anyone. He sees some kind of evolution of humanity, but he cannot grasp where the truth is.

My Response: He cannot grasp it because humanity has never been at the level of truth. Our primordial nature is egoism, which completely distorts the whole picture: both our inner and the surrounding world. Therefore, we have never known the truth.

The truth was only in the Jewish people for a short period of time, from the exodus of Egypt and the formation of the First Temple until the Babylonian captivity. Then they saw themselves and the world around them in their true form.

And then there was a gradual decline in the level of truth, which continued until the collapse of the Second Temple. And that was it, this level completely disappeared.

The true world is the force of good, which in fact controls the world and fills the entire space around us, and inside this force of good, we represent the egoistic forces opposite to it, and we see the whole world through its properties.

Therefore, it cannot be said that humanity once knew the truth. It was never there except for a very short period of time. Since then, the whole truth has been practically buried.

Those people who really want to get to it should take Kabbalistic books and, by seriously studying, begin to work on themselves according to this method, which will correct their egoistic properties into altruistic ones.

Only when they really come to the state of “Love your neighbor as yourself” will they be able to see the real picture of the entire universe and the positive force, the Creator, who controls this picture. Before that, everything is absolutely useless.

Therefore, science is today moving more toward the center, toward the realization that we are so wrong. But I cannot offer them anything except to study Kabbalah and learn the truth.

And the conclusions of scientists about the egoistic nature of man are correct. But they have no means to fix it, to rise above it. As long as we are in our egoistic properties, we will alter all our best impulses scientific, cultural, and other achievements to our detriment.

Question: The Creator brings ten blows to Egypt. What are all these ten plagues?

Answer: I do not think that this can be easily explained because we do not understand what the egoistic qualities revealed in a person are, and accordingly, what the altruistic qualities are.

Question: For example, what is Egyptian darkness?

Answer: A person sees that there is nothing but darkness in front of him in his as-yet-uncorrected egoistic qualities, but he is ready for this and goes forward. For him, spiritual darkness is more precious than egoistic light. He agrees to go with his eyes closed.

Question: When all the firstborn children of Egypt were killed, does it mean that a person feels that he does not see a glimpse of light in his future?

Answer: He has no connection with Egypt any more. Nothing can grow there. And then he is ready to leave Egypt.

Question: Does he make his own decision?

Answer: Yes.

Question: On one hand, I have to make my own decision, and on the other hand, I am in the ten. Are we making this decision together?

Answer: Together, all work is in the ten but on different levels. Of course, we are still in the ego, the uncorrected level. But within our egoism, the corresponding decisions above it are already being made.

Question: So all these blows are not received in my ego, but we seemingly all together receive them in our common ego?

Answer: Yes. The ten is considered one common whole, and that is why it is called “nation.”
