My Thoughts On Twitter 1/13/21

Dr Michael Laitman Twitter

The year 2021 will expose the end of the global #financial system. There’s nowhere for it to continue developing. Growing. Investing funds. Socialism will arise in the whole world—but not the Soviet—dictatorial type, rather toward the social order described by Kabbalah.

The recent behavior of the mainstream mass media is clearly the Creator’s targeted governance. Because by that they have begun to restructure society, out of the revelation of evil and the lack of education. This will result in the emergence of a New Generation in conscious ascent above egoism.

“Covid” in Israel: the country has “gone under” in a bad way—the epidemic is ahead of the vaccination. That’s how it should be—all the evil in the world comes from the increasing lack of likeness to the Creator. And likeness depends on the Jews’ aspiration to it and after them, all the world’s inhabitants. We studied this in the beginning of the pandemic. The world depends on the Jews!

I rejoice at the constantly emerging disturbances, because precisely above them, again and again, I strive for connection with the friends, and through them—to the Creator. I do not want for the egoism to end. I am happy to see that it exists and above it I can show my attitude, love for the Creator.

“Why Is Spiritual Truth So Elusive?” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: Why is spiritual truth so elusive?

What is spirituality? Spirituality is the quality of love, bestowal and connection. This is why spirituality is so elusive. It is concealed from us, since it is complete altruism while our quality is the opposite, total egoism.

Then, the question becomes, is spirituality hidden from us or do we hide spirituality by having no interest in recognizing its existence? According to our receptive nature, we solely desire corporeal fulfillment. The idea of enjoying purely by giving, without receiving anything at all in return, is alien to us.

That is the whole problem. Nobody and nothing hides spirituality from us. We exist within a spiritual reality, and if we could expand our vessels of perception and sensation, we would see that only a single force of love, bestowal and connection exists. However, when we look at the world around us, it looks like a completely opposite picture to one of pure love, bestowal and connection.

This opposition is in order for us to develop a sincere desire to enter into balance with the spiritual reality surrounding us, that our relations and attitudes to each other will become as loving, altruistic and positively connected as the quality of nature in and of itself. During the process of adapting ourselves to the spiritual reality of love, bestowal and connection, we do not cancel the inborn human ego and our corporeal desires. The only transformation we need make to reveal the spiritual truth is in our intention: that we restrict our egoistic intention to enjoy at the expense of others and nature, and increase our intention to love, bestow and connect purely “for the sake of bestowal,” i.e., without wanting anything in return. In other words, in order to discover the spiritual reality that is filled with the quality of love, bestowal and connection, we need only transform our intention from egoistic to altruistic, and then we will enter a whole new perception and sensation of reality: one that is boundless, tranquil and completely balanced.

“Is Democracy A Figment Of Our Imagination?” (Newsmax)

My article in Newsmax: “Is Democracy a Figment of Our Imagination?

Democracy, we know, comes from Greek and it means “the rule of the people.” The current power struggle in America shows one thing very clearly: There is no rule of the people in America. That is, there may have been a rule of the people in America, though a brief one, but when you let the people rule, what you get is tyranny. It does not matter whether the tyranny is portrayed as democratic, pretending to reflect the will of the people, or as it truly is: repressive despotism.

The problem with democracy is not that it’s a bad idea. Freedom, equality, and justice for all are noble notions. Regrettably, they cannot happen. They never happened and they never will until we teach ourselves the values required to even talk about freedom and equality.

Since we’ve never been taught it, we’ve never had a democracy. We’ve had plenty of bogus, manipulative governments who pretended to care for the well-being of the people while actually seeing to the continuation of their own control. And because we’ve never been taught how, or even why we should all be equal and free, we’ve always eventually succumbed to our basic, egotistical nature and tore off the democratic mask from the face of an actual dictatorship.

Simply put, democracies rise and fall because they don’t coincide with human nature. When an unnatural social structure is imposed on society, society eventually rejects it, however noble it may be, and retreats to its savage nature. If you want a truly noble society, which lives by noble principles, first make its people noble and then they will construct a noble society of their own accord, since this will be their nature.

One look at what is happening in America today shows you the level of education for nobleness that Americans have today. It may be painful to accept, but unless we accept the facts, how will we be able to change them?

Look, for example, at what is happening to the First Amendment today. Is there free speech in America? Is everyone encouraged, or even permitted to express what they really think? The public arena is governed by street gangs and online gangs, and anyone who steps out of line is immediately straightened out or silenced. And when you have no freedom of speech, you also have no equality, and therefore no democracy.

If you want to build a genuine democracy, you have to start from the premise that there is more than one opinion. If there is only one opinion, even if it is your own, then you should know that your society is not democratic. Uniformity of opinions should be your first warning sign. No two people have the exact same opinion, and certainly not an entire country. So when only one voice is heard, it is, by default, a non-democratic society.

Once you have two or more opinions, you have to know how to relate to them. You should know people’s views differ because they see reality from different perspectives. However, they are all looking at the same reality, which means that they are all seeing only part of the picture and not all of it.

So every part that you exclude from the pool of perspectives makes everyone’s perspective more deficient, flawed, partial and, therefore, unfit for making the right decisions. Only when all the different views are valued and included in the decision-making process can you reach a result that benefits the entire collective, and which is therefore sustainable. Otherwise, you are bound to create another “democracy,” the kind we’ve seen throughout history, which is here today and gone tomorrow.

For this reason, the rule of thumb in building a sustainable society, established on true freedom and equality for all, is the nurturing of diversity of views, refusal to silence any voice, and building a society that incorporates all those differences, and whose members value the union among them more than they value their own opinions.

Understanding The Reason For The Current State Of The World

254.02Question: Does the spiritual influence on all of humanity depend only on your group or does it also depend on the support of those who listen a little, read, and are interested but are not yet included in this?

Answer: We are relying on all of our friends who are literally on every continent in the world.

The fact is that humanity must nevertheless understand the reason for our shattering and for our terrible descent into this state where we do not see the future, and everyone experiences anxiety and depression.

Scientists say that science has exhausted itself. Financial experts say that there is nothing further to do and that a general collapse is approaching. Psychologists say that the whole world is immersing itself into drugs.

In principle, we have come to a state in which, according to Kabbalah and all spiritual practices in general, humanity needs connection. Therefore, on the one hand, life has pushed us toward the need for connection and to find solutions to our problems. On the other hand, we still need to develop the wisdom of Kabbalah ,which precisely on this topic  establishes its vision of correcting the world.

The Extremes Of Tolerance

273.02Comment: Sometimes tolerance and political correctness in the field of discrimination reach the point of insanity. For example, the creators of the American animated series The Simpsons said that they would ban white artists from voicing non-white characters.

A Sydney radio station has accused chess of being racist because white goes first. In Hollywood, the rules are changing in favor of racial diversity. And there is no end to it.

My Response: The point is that no one is working on the root of the problem. So, let’s say that the Hollywood film industry uses various external mechanical changes where the same number of African-Americans and Europeans, or women and men, would be involved in the filming. All this is purely external for them not to be faulted. And what happens internally is not important to them. And so, in the end, the world does not change.

Question: Who should determine this? The state, people?

Answer: I think that this should be determined by people, and the state should listen to them, should rely on the opinion of society, and gradually introduce state laws.

Comment: By the way, sometimes there is a point of view that only people belonging to the same group should be involved in teaching certain ethnic groups.

My Response: Maybe. I think it still matters in our time. And in the future, everything will change. We will be completely indifferent to who is teaching. So much so that we will not notice any skin color or face.

What Is Correct The MAN (Prayer) Based On?

942Question: What is the correct MAN (prayer) based on? How can we feel its foundations?

Answer: It is very simple, MAN cannot be for yourself. It can be for a friend, and even better for the whole group. Instead of my desire, I take your desire and begin to ask for you, that’s all.

It is a good thing if the whole group does that. It says that a person cannot free himself from prison, but that only his friends can free him. It is the same for each and every one of us, as each of us takes everyone else out of prison. We can be free of the egoistic prison only if the friends pray for us.

To pray means to ask the Creator to correct my friend, and each and every one should do so. If I ask for nine friends in the ten, I will necessarily be the tenth. I don’t need to ask for myself, because the nine Sefirot determine everything and Malchut is derived from them.

Therefore, everything that is given to a person is not given in order for him to ask, but so that he does not ask for it. This is called “rising above oneself”, restricting oneself (tzimtzum). Instead, I must accept the first nine Sefirot, that is, all the desires of my companions. If I reconstruct myself in this way, I create a block out of myself that can turn to the Creator. It is called a Partzuf.

Developing Constructive Envy

559Question: How do we develop constructive envy of our friends?

Answer: This is very difficult even in ordinary life, let alone in a Kabbalistic group. Envy must motivate a person, excite him, entice him to perform some actions.

Question: Sometimes it happens naturally. How can we make it happen consciously?

Answer: Apart from the right environment, the group, the right surroundings, I do not see any other means to arouse envy in a person, either good or bad. It depends on the company one is in.

Question: What should be a part of this environment? What mechanisms work there?

Answer: Looking at how others strive to advance, how they enjoy it, how they show me good, positive examples toward the goal, good envy is aroused in me, the force of advancement appears and I move forward.

Comment: What if I don’t see it?

Answer: It all depends on how they show it to you.

Question: So, we may need to artificially create such relationships to demonstrate the importance of the goal. And even if it is not actually there, will I still be automatically jealous because I don’t know if they’re acting or not?

Answer: There is an ancient parable of a rich man hiring people to act around his son in such a way as to arouse in him the desire for knowledge, a profession, for advancement. It is possible.

After all, to be a good musician or anyone else, I need some kind of an example. If such examples exist before me, then everything pays off later. It’s worth investing into.

Question: If I don’t feel envious of other people, what does that mean?

Answer: You won’t be able to advance. If you were born in a village and tend to cows, then you will remain at this level. You surely need something to move you!

Question: That is, the group must constantly show me some benefit of revealing the Creator?

Answer: Yes. But there are individuals who naturally have this inclination, and they strive for it.

Sprouts Of Spiritual Desires

137The Book of Zohar, Chapter Bo (Come Unto Pharaoh), Item 68: And all the herbs grow around that still Nile on either side.

We are talking about the vegetative level, about what grows out from the ground. Slowly, plant sprouts appear, that is, there is a need for something, in particular for growth.

Although the silent river does not seem to give anything, the spiritual, altruistic desires of man begin to develop around it.

Bina is the future world. And so gradually, underneath, it implicitly develops in us sprouts of our future spiritual desires, which grow around it and rise up.

Then, that monster climbs unto the herbs and grows among them, and then returns to all these Niles. The herbs are the light that grew out of the dark.

Thus, the quality of water (Bina) gradually develops in us.

Water is, in principle, an inanimate substance but it practically gives life. Thanks to it, plants develop from the earth because the property of mercy combined with egoism—the property of the earth—gives the earth (egoistic quality) that life-giving power when new properties begin to grow out of it in man. Therefore, our egoism alone is not enough. We need to acquire the property of Bina, the property of the upper world.

This is basically what The Book of Zohar does, because when we begin to study it, we attract the quality of mercy.

And all four rivers that descend from the Garden of Eden to our sinful earth, to my sinful qualities, begin to change me. New spiritual properties in which wisdom gradually increases grow out of me, and I begin to develop to the point that I will eventually reach the Garden of Eden, the future world, and I begin to exist in it.

Constantly Turn To The Creator

567.04Question: Is it proper to constantly turn to the Creator or only to do so in very difficult moments?

Answer: We must make sure that it is always relevant, that we always have a reason to turn to Him.

Question: Do we look for a reason for it?

Answer: Don’t look for it, but really move forward, and then you will always have reasons to turn to the Creator. He is interested in being addressed constantly.

Question: And He is able to accept all the requests of billions of people at the same time?

Answer: I think so. We are under His complete control, and everything depends only on our desires, on our requests.
