My Thoughts On Twitter 3/3/19

Dr Michael Laitman Twitter

The Creator doesn’t conceal Himself. As He comes closer to reveal Himself, He elicits a sensation of His concealment in us so we would accelerate our efforts to reveal Him. But there is never concealment or separation from the Creator’s side.
It is Him coming closer to man that elicits the sensation of distancing, separation due to disparity of form.

When you are corrected, you will see a corrected world, the Creator’s revelation, the Shechina. It is an illusion to see suffering in the world. Man sees to the degree of his lack of correction—every person sees a different picture of the world. The world has no picture—it is revealed in man’s qualities! Man determines the world!

Let everything rage around and inside me, but for me all that matters is to adhere to the Creator in my mind and heart—to see that everything comes from Him. One condition: “Hear this, Michael, the Creator is our God, the Creator is one”—in any state everything comes only from Him. This is called adhesion.

When you correct yourself, you will see the corrected world, the revealed Creator, Divinity. It is an illusion to see the world as suffering. A person sees things according to his deficiency; everyone sees a different picture of the world. But the world has no picture—it is revealed in the person’s qualities! A person defines the world!

By postponing the revelation of the Creator’s actions in us at each moment, we forgo the revelation of the meaning of life. But in order to make constant effort not to abandon the pursuit of the Creator at every instant, you need the support of the group.

If I desire another outcome from what is happening, it means I am unhappy with the Creator’s governance. There is no doubt that only He controls me, but for now I do not agree with Him, I am not devoted to Him. If I do not feel joy in every state, it means I’m not in adhesion…
…with the Creator, still in “Lo Lishma,” wishing for change…

People separate everything that happens from the Source, not wishing to search for how one upper force operates in everything. By paying attention to everything happening around you and inside you, you will reveal that everything is dictated by the Creator.
You just have to ascertain your attitude to His actions—and reach agreement with Him.

Any states, if you relate them to the Creator, are corrections, helping you come closer to adhesion with Him (Rabash, Hakol Tikkunim).
Hence the most important thing is to create an environment that constantly aims man at the Creator.

Have faith that only the Creator compels you to do everything. However, as long as you are unfit to feel that the Creator compels you to everything, He operates through people. Yet you must believe that the Creator operates behind everyone and behind you.
Try to accept all reality in this way. (Rabash, “Torah Is the Middle Line”)

It is a law of nature that one cannot feel evil from the Creator, since that belittles His greatness. Hence to the extent man feels evil, he separates from the Creator. This is the greatest punishment.
Since the sensation of good and evil in the Creator’s governance leads a person to the goal. (Zohar, “Night of the Bride, 138”)

The main problem is that when a person sees a wrong action or thought, he falls, believing himself to be the source of these actions and thoughts. And he forgets that only the Creator is the cause of everything.
And although he is generally aware of this, he forgets to attribute the action to the Creator—and justify. (Baal HaSulam, “Letter 1″)

“It is impossible to accept the Creator’s full authority over the world, because then all the evil of the world should be attributed to Him as well! Only kabbalists reveal His full control over all good and evil. And they accept the Creator as the only acting force in all creation….in every act, evil and good.” (Baal HaSulam. “Letter 1”)

Everything is created with one thought, right down to the final state. And this thought acts in everything: it is the action itself, it is its result, it is the essence of all efforts, it is all reality and it is all the reward for them. (TES, part 1, Inner Reflection, p.1,8)

All types of Torah, open and concealed, are of the same source that teaches how to reveal the Creator. The difference is only in the light that reveals the Creator, which depends on the person’s intention. To hold the intention and stick to the goal to reveal the Creator ….
…. is easier by studying Kabbalah since this is what it clearly describes.

When a person starts studying Kabbalah, soon after, he starts experiencing mood swings, becomes demanding and impatient, which is the result of his egoism coming to the surface; it needs to be corrected so it may reveal the perception of the Creator.
So the phase of the desire’s correction begins.

The Upper Light from the Creator passes all 5 worlds—and in the Talmud, its actions are described in the language of our world. But we do not understand and do not feel in these descriptions how the Creator’s light affects the 4 types of desire 1-2-3-4, described by Talmud ….
…. in the inanimate-vegetative-animate-human nature.

The Talmud sages were great Kabbalists, able to describe the correction of the collective Soul with the words of our world. But it is very difficult for us to imagine spiritual corrections in the language of the Talmud, the lowest world.
Therefore, we use the language of Kabbalah, the highest world, for successful correction.

“International Women’s Day 2019: Nature’s Recipe for Gender-Balance”(Thrive Global)

Thrive Global published my new article: “International Women’s Day 2019: Nature’s Recipe for Gender-Balance

“The human is the inclusion of male and female, and the world cannot be built, if male and female are not both present” (The Book of Zohar).

International Women’s Day is upon us again, and this year’s keyword is “balance” – the idea is to drive gender-balance across the world.

The aspiration behind wanting to create balance is good and correct. It comes from a genuine desire to find wholeness, completion and perfection in the interaction between the men and women of the world. But what is gender-balance? How do we determine where the balance is? If we look for it through our own eyes – whether as a man or woman – we’ll only see things partially and incorrectly.

When it comes to balance, we need to see things from nature’s point of view.

There are two opposite forces working throughout all of nature and they manifest through various forces, actions and beings: plus and minus, protons and electrons, heat and cold, ebb and flow, inhaling and exhaling. Or in our case – male and female.

If we try to eliminate or disregard the differences between any instances of nature’s two opposite forces, then we’re attempting to meddle with nature. Trying to turn a plus into a minus will ultimately cause trouble, even when we can’t see it in the short run.

According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, men and women can only complete each other when the purpose of their relationship is to discover the deeper force of nature that binds them together. As it is written, “man, woman, and the divine presence between them.”

The deeper binding force of nature is one. It is not masculine or feminine, not a plus or a minus. It’s the only true oneness there is. Men and women need each other to rise slightly above the human ego, and discover that force together. To do so, they each need to activate their unique attributes and complete each other. So instead of focusing on how men or women can rise separately, we need to be thinking of rising together.

It’s no coincidence that the drive to find new balance between the genders has become so prominent in our time. Humans are evolving to find a higher experience of life, and this is why we have a yearning for a greater sense of wholeness. But harmony can only emerge when opposite forces complement each other.

The difference between male and female is not a “gender difference.” It is an infinite gap that stems from the very nature of creation. We don’t need to be the same. We need to stay different, and learn how to complete each other.

Everything Changes Under The Influence Of The Light

281.01Rabash, “Concerning the Importance of Friends”: But how can one consider one’s friend as greater than himself, when he can see that his own merits are greater than his friend’s, that he is more talented and has better natural qualities?

This is right. Egoism is always setting us up. But under the influence of the Light everything changes.

We are only egoistic beings. There is nothing in me but one hundred percent egoism. To the extent that the Light influences me, it weakens egoism in me a little and I begin to feel that others are above me.

I begin to understand that what I had seen before and that now is different depends only on the intensity of the Light that affects me. And there is no truth.

Therefore, if I want to be closer to the Creator and become like Him, then I want the Light to act on me as much as possible. At the same time, I understand that then I will look like the lowest and slowest person, who does not understand anything. But I don’t care; on the contrary, it pleases me because I reveal the truth that there is nothing in me except egoism.

Thus, the first action of the Light is the feeling that everything in me speaks of egoism. And the second is that instead of egoism, the property of the Light is beginning to take shape in me.

A Kabbalist’s Prayer

624.02Question: How does the Kabbalist’s request differ from the prayer of an ordinary believer?

Answer: A Kabbalist asks for his own correction in order to correct the world, which, in principle, is in him. Every Kabbalist feels responsible for the world. One only needs to correct himself, not others.

On the other hand, an ordinary believer asks to be well, to escape any punishment, for the Creator to have mercy on him, and to go to heaven. All are absolutely selfish requests.

Kabbalah usually does not deal with comparison. Only the ones who feel an inner yearning toward the meaning of life in order to reveal the Creator are given this opportunity.

laitman_962.7Question: If I feel that many forces are working within and outside of me, how does this fit with the statement that “There is none else besides Him” (Deuteronomy 4:35)?

Answer: The Creator is an immense quantity of forces joined together into a single force field. But this is Him: one desire, one goal, and many forces that are connected together to bring everyone to a single state. Therefore, we are influenced by many forces, thoughts, and desires of various kinds.

Question: What difference does it make for the law of nature if I agree with its uniqueness or not?

Answer: The fact is that the thought of the Creator is to bring all creatures to a full connection with Him, to attain the same level of universal and integral existence as His.

Question: If representatives from Hollywood were to come to you and offer to make a movie about the Creator, what kind of picture would you show?

Answer: I would show a network of forces: how multifaceted and multidimensional they are. It is possible and necessary to talk about the Creator, gradually bringing awareness about Him to every person.

Question: In which circumstances can the Creator cut off the connection with me and take away the awareness that He manages everything?

Answer: Even if that happens, you must acknowledge that the Creator is doing this too. The main thing is to understand that it is from Him. Everything begins from that.

Question: Why do I get punished for my thoughts if they are not mine?

Answer: There are no punishments in the world! There is no reward either. There is simply learning, when a person is taught how to come to the revelation of the uniqueness of the Creator, because this is the only goal of our development.

Question: It is said that we were created according to the image and the likeness of the Creator. What do “image” and “likeness” mean?

Answer: This is not about a person in our world, but about the creation of Adam, that is, a system that fully resembles the Creator and exists according to His image and likeness.

Question: If the Creator manages me by sending me all kinds of thoughts, then does he bear responsibility for the consequences of the actions to which these thoughts that are sent by Him bring me?

Answer: Don’t worry about Him; He can bear responsibility for everything, even in regard to Himself.

Remark: Some people believe that the Creator you are talking about is not very reliable. And others say that if we pray to Him, He will help.

My Comment: But before He helps, He throws a mound of troubles and problems on them, and apparently, after that He helps. They have a good Creator, but He is somewhat inconsistent.
