My Thoughts On Twitter, 2/1/17

twitter

Before taking any action, let’s first understand the world we exist in. Then, we can create a new organ of perception.

Kabbalah explains: The world is a HOLOGRAM . A structure of 10 Sefirot, where each Sefira consists of another ten and so on.

You can either study the world the way it is or the way we perceive it. The world is the result of our perception!

Scientists: the universe is a hologram. Kabbalah: the universe is inside our mind. Rise above your mind and discover one upper light.

Our selfish nature seizes control over everything. It creates media that is dependent on its owners, and thus enslaves the masses.

The media is in the hands of the elite, and there will be a fight over it. Revealing the evil in it will trigger the correction.

How Can We Avoid Deluding Ourselves?

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: It is a well-known fact that our mind can depict certain images and figures. Based on this, you can convince yourself with regard to anything and sometimes it seems that you have exited yourself and felt a spiritual feeling.

How can we avoid deluding ourselves and falling into self-pride? How can we discover whether what we feel is indeed a spiritual attainment?

Answer: There is no way you can do it. Only the group can save you from such situations. When you nullify yourself with regard to others, when you connect to them and help everyone else, you balance yourself, present a zero on your level, and advance.

How Can We Develop Our Sensitivity?

Laitman_089Question: Can we develop our sensitivity? Is it possible?

Answer: We can develop our sensitivity only under the influence of the Upper Light; call it the Creator or the Surrounding Light. No force in our world can help us do that. The Upper Light created us and gave birth to us.

It develops us, and we can spur its impact on us at any time, but before we do that, we must understand how to do it. The wisdom of Kabbalah teaches us how.

Answers To Your Questions, Part 163

laitman_219_01Question: What is the group if there is none else besides Him? Do the group, the friends, and I exist? If everything comes from the Creator even without the group, what is the point of the group if, in fact, there is no group, no teacher, nothing, and no one? How can I not be confused and mix corporeal and spiritual means?

Answer: The best thing is to study and the Light will clear away the clouds.

Question: I want to come to the group, but the Creator keeps a feeling, a certain fear and insecurity in me, and keeps me solitary. I don’t understand the rationale in His actions. He wants me to correct myself, but doesn’t let me do so?!

Answer: It is so you will make the efforts.

How Can We Check The Teacher?

laitman_533_02Question: How can we check whether the one who teaches Kabbalah actually knows what he is talking about and that he is indeed a spiritual guide?

Answer: A true teacher of the wisdom of Kabbalah teaches only according to the Kabbalistic sources of Baal HaSulam and Rabash and he only shows how to implement their recommendations in a group. He will not try to stand out and will not require any special treatment.

It says that a person learns only where his heart desires. It isn’t about intuition, but a feeling in the heart. Intuition is in internal call that we don’t understand, whereas a feeling in the heart is when you clearly feel that the teacher speaks directly into your heart. He doesn’t try to convince you, attract you, or lure you; you feel that he addresses you without trying to influence you.

It is not prohibited to check out teachers in other places. You only need to be very careful not to fall into mysticism or other spiritual practical spiritual studies.

We can say that there are two ways to check things, or two external signs of a true Kabbalah teacher. The first is that the teacher teaches according to Kabbalistic sources and the second is that he himself received his knowledge from a recognized Kabbalist.

From “Desert” To The “Land Of Israel”

laitman_747_01The entrance to the land of Israel is an ascent to the level of the implementation of freewill. The 40 years of wandering in the desert before entering the land of Israel, means being in certain desires called Bina, which is a high level, but the freedom of will is implemented there on a very weak, we can even say a child’s level – just do as you are told and everything will be all right.

The state of land of Israel represents the worst place in the world, the most terrible, hated place, causing everyone constant squabbles and fury, the land which was said to swallow those who live in it. But if you realize this desire (land – Eretz, from the word “Ratzon” – desire) correctly, you reveal the Creator in it.

In principle, a person who moves from the inner state “desert” to the spiritual state “land of Israel” rises to the bigger egoistic desires and can implement his freedom of will on the next, heavier level. The terrible problems and opposition between good and evil are revealed on this level and he must solve these problems within himself.

Upon entering the land of Israel, a person discovers new depths and new miasmas in him. He is obliged to examine them and choose love over hatred, which is very difficult because he needs to pay for it with his “animal” freedom.

Comment: The entire drama unfolds in front of the people. For example, Moses knows that he won’t enter the land of Israel, but he sends his children there.

My Response: Of course, it is a frightening state when you were ready to go with your people, but you are not allowed to. What will happen to them? You don’t know. You release them and they become independent from that moment.

Moses led people through the desert. The desert is much lower level than the land of Israel because all the contradictions revealed within a person in the desert were quite insignificant relative to the next level.

Besides, Moses was in the desert with them as an intermediary between the people and the Creator, meaning the system of governance. However, this system no longer exists on the border with the land of Israel. It is revealed before us in such a way. These really are difficult states. Unfortunately, we understand them only on our material level, not in the Kabbalistic sense.

New Life #341 – Altruism: Real Freedom

New Life #341 – Altruism: Real Freedom
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

What are we missing to feel free; specifically how is this connected to relationships between people, and what is the profound difference between narcissism and altruism?

The influence of the surrounding society on us is very great. It determines values, norms, and goals for us.

At home, a small child runs from corner to corner and feels free because an umbrella of love is spread above him. Even an adult lacks a feeling of being loved. Only for this are do we need to love others. That is where freedom is. Altruism is what is most fulfilling. See how much joy children bring to their parents.

If you don’t have a feeling of altruism, you can never feel free. To be free is leaving the narrow concern for only myself and beginning to live for others. When we are involved with altruism, we awaken a special power inherent in nature, the upper force, the power of love.

The wisdom of connection develops a feeling in a person that there is a very pleasant and warm feeling with connection with others. Later on, a person begins to feel that the characteristic of giving is itself something sublime.

Every person can learn how to be free, to become freed from tensions and pressures. And beyond this, one can even break free from the limitations of death, leaving oneself and living within the whole forever.
