Three Days Of The Absorbtion Of The Sperm

laitman_608_03Question: What are the “three days of the absorbption of the sperm”?

Answer: The three days are the right, left, and middle lines. For three days the drop of semen is held in the uterus, meaning that it attains a connection, a minimal point of contact between the lower Partzuf and the upper Partzuf. The lower Partzuf is basically a point since the right, middle, and left lines ultimately create one point that is adherent to the upper Partzuf, the higher system, the mother.

This process is called the “absorption of the sperm in the mother’s womb.” It means that the lower part of the upper Partzuf, which is called AHP (Awzen, Hotem, Peh – ear, nose, mouth), is connected with the upper part of the lower Partzuf called Galgalta ve Eynaim. Likewise, it is enough that only one drop from the lower Partzuf, one point, is entrenched in the upper Partzuf, which is a complete Kli, so that it will begin to work for the benefit of the drop that is held in it.

The upper Partzuf is composed of Galgalta ve Eynaim (Keter and Hochma) and AHP (Bina, Zeir Anpin, and Malchut). The AHP is called the mother’s womb and the next lower Partzuf is only a point, since the three points, right, left, and middle, are connected together into one. This point, depending on its characteristics, is ready to nullify itself and exist within the upper Partzuf in that way. This is the drop of semen, meaning the future Ubar (embryo).

The foundations of these three points are the first three days. After that, the AHP begins to develop, meaning that the lower begins to demand from the upper part of the Partzuf, from Galgalta ve Eynaim, which is connected with the next Partzuf, called the Creator.

In other words, the feminine part, the lower, asks the masculine part to be connected with the Creator. All of the parts are working with an intention of bestowal. Even the Ubar wants to develop to bestowal, to adhere with the upper and continue to share in the development of the Tachtonim (lower ones).

Nobody works with its own desire; rather, all are working for the good of others, working with the desire of the others.

After that development begins in a Partzuf: three months, three months, and another three months, which is called the compartments within which the Ubar develops.

After the Partzuf finishes its full development, the womb begins to contract, meaning that the upper Partzuf begins to intentionally push the Tachton (lower one) that has been developing within it outside, and so the Tachton goes outside.

Spiritual Birth

laitman_243_04Spiritual birth is a very complicated birth process. The lower is inside the upper and the womb is seemingly made of two doors, one of which has an axis. In the ninth month, the embryo completes its development and the doors begin to open and the mother feels an internal pressure, which is what we see in our world.

If we express this in Kabbalistic terms, the Gevurot that have developed (the limiting force, the Dinim) put pressure on the embryo who also wants to be free. On the whole, he undergoes a very serious process during his birth when these forces actually push him out, but they also shape him as a human being in the future.

This is the first drama in his life since before he was in a kind of rest house for nine months, in perfect tranquility, fully secure, fed, and all his needs provided for. But this state ends dramatically when he is born.

The attitude of his mother to him totally changes. She pushes him out as if she doesn’t want him anymore and he undergoes great pressure and is born.

The embryo develops in the mother’s womb with his head up and before he is born he turns upside down with his head downward, which means that he is detached from his previous values and doesn’t think like he did before, and this is how he is born under great pressure.

The exodus from Egypt is called spiritual birth, which in our world is symbolized by Pesach (Passover). First everything was right and good in Egypt. We developed normally in Egypt, inside our egoism.

Then Pharaoh’s attitude suddenly changed to such a degree that this Partzuf, the soul that develops, undergoes the ten plagues, called the ten Sefirot, which throw it out. The womb contracts, the birth canal opens, the water recedes (the water breaks).

The same thing happens in Egypt: the passage through the Red Sea is the passage through the water. Then the actual birth takes place.

Animals don’t undergo such a difficult process like man. For animals the birth does not involve such great pressure, while for humans the physical and the spiritual birth involve a great pressure indeed.

The Secret Of Conception And Birth

laitman_236_01Question: Birth is a very complex and complicated process and is explained in the 400 pages of the six volumes of the Talmud Eser Sefirot (The Study of the Ten Sefirot) by Baal HaSulam. At what moment does conception take place?

Answer: Conception takes place the moment that the Kli (vessel, desire) is ready for conception. When the female part (the desire to receive) is ready to unite with the male part (the intention for the sake of bestowal), by becoming like it, which means the moment that our desire becomes worthy of bonding with the intention for the sake of the Creator (bestowal), then immediately a union takes place between them and a Partzuf (a spiritual body) appears.

The left side of the Partzuf is the female part, and the right line is the male part, and between them they give birth to the assimilation to the Creator, which is called the third line or soul.

Question: Why does conception have to be carried out at night?

Answer: The entire process takes place for the sake of the attribute of bestowal. Night is darkness and the attribute of bestowal can be revealed and appears only in darkness, in the state where the soul doesn’t want any light and enlightenment, so that its action will really be with the intention for the sake of bestowal. In other words, I don’t want to see the future, I don’t want anything for myself. I only want to act in bestowal. This state is called night.

One Woman

laitman_275Question: Why does a pregnancy take nine months? Is it in line with the nine Sefirot in Kabbalah?

Answer: Of course, since the embryo cannot continue to develop before he completes the nine Sefirot. The tenth Sefira is Malchut. This is also related to the lunar months because all of nature is mutually connected. An interesting historical fact is that all the women in the ancient Jewish kingdom received their monthly period at the same time and it lasted exactly a week. This phenomenon is described in books written at the time.

Question: Does this mean that they felt as one woman?

Answer: Of course, they felt as one woman whose body was renewed.

And God Created Woman

laitman_286Question: If the feminine nature is the start of everything, does the man exist for the woman?

Answer: Yes. The Creator didn’t create the man; He created the woman “from the rib of Adam,” as it says in the Torah. It is simply necessary to interpret these words more precisely. “Adam” is a characteristic of the Creator that the Creator intended as an attitude regarding the future creature, the woman. So it is natural that the female part, which wants to attain adhesion with the Creator, motivates the male part toward a common action for unification, resulting in the discovery of the world. It seems as if this is his destruction, but it isn’t destruction. Rather, it is a type of correction after the defects and faults that are concealed in the depths of the connection between us are discovered.

Adam and Eve discover the depth of the ruined connection; they do this unconsciously. After that, the feminine mystique gradually begins to be discovered. “Eve” is the feminine nature that wants to attain full resemblance, full adhesion, with the Creator through faith that this is possible, but without understanding that something is concealed within the depth of desire.

There was no movement, no drive, in Adam to receive all the Light within himself. It is only the feminine nature that could awaken this in him. Without the feminine nature he would “go naked in the garden,” as it says, and “sing his own song.” He would remain in a state of Katnut (smallness) and wouldn’t want anything else.

Discovery of the feminine nature within himself is the discovery of an immense longing within him to attain the Creator. To attain the Creator he must truly discover his essence, how opposite and against the characteristics of the Creator he is. So the “sin of the Tree of Knowledge” was arranged for Adam and Eve. In this way the discovery of the immense egoistic potential in them was the beginning of the entire human species.

From this point on, there began to appear such connections between the feminine and masculine nature, the desire to receive (the feminine) and the intention for the sake of bestowal (the masculine), which were already clothed in the new form of the souls of the Kabbalists.

Adam And Eve

Dr. Michael LaitmanComment: It says that the Creator created Adam, as if he is a collective figure that resembles the Creator.

Answer: The attitude of the Creator to the creation is called Adam. And the created being is Eve (Havah), i.e., it is already present, the desire to receive.

Comment: According to The Book of Zohar, Adam is a combination of the male and the female parts.

Answer: That’s right, but the female part in a man is concealed. Of course it stems from the Creator but not directly, not as something from nothing.

Comment: In the past there were organisms that impregnated themselves and then divided into a male and female part.

Answer: We can still see this phenomenon in nature. Now many species in the animal world change their sex from male to female and vice versa depending on the need to continue the species.

Question: Does this correlate with what The Book of Zohar says about the unity of the male and the female parts?

Answer: No. The Book of Zohar tells us only about spiritual states. How their effects are manifested in our world—here there are many options.

When the desire began to develop it was divided into a male and a female part, which led to the emergence of people who were males and females in our world and who have to mate  to have offspring.

It is only by the mating of two opposite separate independent elements of nature that the emergence of a third element is possible, similarly to the way the two lines, the right and the left lines, generate the middle line.

Woman – A Mystery Of Nature

laitman_547_06The woman is mystery of nature since she symbolizes our desire to receive, a desire that is concealed in us and is revealed only to the extent that we reveal the Creator. Therefore, if we yearn to discover the Creator, we reveal the feminine.

We will not be able to understand a woman until we attain this truth, because the feminine was created by the Creator and is the only thing He created, “and God created woman,” whereas the male is a little different from the Creator and exists in the world only in order to fertilize the woman, to fill her, to generate birth, so that eventually the female desire to receive and the male desire to bestow (the points in the heart) will appear in them in the corrected mutual state called their child.

This process takes place when the feminine is ready for correction, while the male merely fulfills his intermediary role. This is the reason that the woman, the feminine, the desire to receive, is nature’s mystery, which a Kabbalist gradually discovers to what extent she is opposite from the Creator and to what extent he can make her resemble the Creator.

An Ideal Relationship

laitman_232_08Question: What should an ideal relationship between a man and a woman look?

Answer: An ideal relationship between a man and a woman, just like between two men or two women, is a spiritual partnership in which the two sides have equal rights, when they complement each other and create a common vessel (Kli).

Spiritual Interaction Between Husband And Wife

Laitman_506_1Question: Which forces and spiritual laws have an influence on a correct relationship between husband and wife and how is it possible to learn how to use them?

Answer: The right mutual relationships between husband and wife are realized when they become friends and they create the same conditions between them that exist in a group of Kabbalists. I heard this many times from my teacher, the great Kabbalist, Rabash.

If a husband and wife work correctly with each other mutually and grow spiritually together, the Creator will be revealed between them and they will become a small group.

This surely does not exclude participation by the wife in a women’s group or the participation of the husband in a men’s group, but they do create a normal, physical, and full group between them.

Question: Are you aware of couples like these? How do they interact with each other?

Answer: I was told that there were couples like these in the distant past, but I didn’t see this with my teacher Rabash even though his wife understood very well what he was involved with and they lived together for 65 years. Even his father, the great Kabbalist, Baal HaSulam was not connected with his wife like this.

The students of Rabash partially aspired to do this, but due to the lack of time and energy to implement spiritual activities among us, we learned more in a men’s group and the women studied separately.

We were the first group to have broken into the wisdom of Kabbalah by attaining the upper world, so we didn’t have enough power, patience, and mind to create connections like these in the family. We were pioneers in studying and attaining the wisdom of Kabbalah, so in his time nothing worked smoothly.

Question: Would it be correct for a husband and wife to discover the other half within them first and only after that connect and advance together toward the Creator?

Answer: No, there is no need to divide anything. It is completely possible to succeed in discovering it through a group specifically and not in the connection between you. There are many different possibilities here.

We are now in a transitional period in which great and expanding masses are beginning to study the wisdom of Kabbalah, so there is no way of knowing clearly whether we must specifically act mutually with a wife or a husband and then in a group or the opposite, first in groups and then each other.

Women’s Questions

laitman_606Question: Does a woman have to yearn for the attribute of bestowal if she was created as the part that receives?

Answer: The two sexes are equal in attaining the Creator, and each of them has both a male and a female part.

Question: How can I stop raising my voice to my husband and children?

Answer: Your husband and children exist inside you and only seem to exist on the outside, and so you have to first turn you the husband and children that are inside you and only then to the figures that are on the outside.
