Question: The prominent Russian neuroscientist and pioneer of objective psychology Vladimir Bekhterev declared that man is immortal. He believed that it could be proved purely logically for the simple reason that thought is matter, and consequently, it means that it affects matter.

What does Kabbalah say about this?

Answer: The wisdom of Kabbalah absolutely agrees with him. The fact is that thought is matter in the same way as our whole world is matter and as the spiritual world is also matter.

That is, matter is desire. Desire works either for absorption or for emanation from itself, it does not matter, but it is matter. There is nothing that is not matter. Our thought and our desire are just as material as what we feel as inanimate, vegetative, and animate nature. After all, matter can manifest itself in the form of forces and waves.

If we delve deeper into matter, then there are only waves there. Behind the waves, we begin to feel that there is nothing more than one thought there. On this thought, our material ideas about it gradually thicken in the form of clusters of matter.

It seems that this matter is developing, but it itself is not developing, rather the thought that is inside it. In the stages of the development of thinking, thought begins to manifest itself as the actions of matter in the form of forces, all kinds of mechanical transformations, and so on. But all of it is a thought.

The instrument of perception of reality is the person himself. Therefore, as long as we are imprisoned in this device, in this person, we cannot do anything. We must always attribute the additional condition that everything is attained relative to us.

All the huge processes that we study by looking at the universe, micro or macrocosm, we explore relative to ourselves. And with respect to other creations, unearthly beings, they would unfold in a completely different way.

Does the anti-world exist? Yes, it exists! And in it, there are creations who in correspondence with it perceive everything in a completely different way. And there can be an infinite number of such anti-worlds.

That is why, I hope that with time science will come to the right conclusions. Scientists have accumulated enough data to come to the realization of limitations. We are people, we feel only in ourselves, relative to ourselves, and according to how we are created, we cannot feel otherwise. Let’s assume that in this place where we now exist, there are a huge number of other universes, states, dimensions, beings, and creations.

Meaning that place, space, and time is all conditional. Therefore, Kabbalah says: “Until we will not go beyond our limitations, let’s use ordinary science and not get confused.” This is because we assume that this is all there is. And what does “everything that is” mean? It means that what we perceive exists and there can’t be anything else.

We can advance further, but still, only based on the instrument that I myself am, and we limit ourselves by this.

Kabbalah is the science of receiving, the science of perceiving the universe, and not only ours, but in general everything that exists, regardless of our body. We have to get out of it. Such a possibility exists. We have to investigate it: its limitations, boundaries, nature, perception, and its method of attainment and awareness.

At the same time, we will begin to comprehend how we can perceive everything that exists in a different way. And then we will achieve a true view of the world.

Question: Why do Christians determine their holidays according to the solar calendar and Muslims according to the lunar calendar?

Answer: Because the sun and the moon are two forces that exist in nature and they affect us.

The sun gives us everything, it gives us life. This is a very clear force. Therefore, all Christian holidays and calendars work under the sun. And for Muslims, as well as for Jews, the calendar countdown is determined relative to the moon. The lunar month begins with the new moon.

By the way, the months specified in the Christian calendar come from ancient Rome and have the ancient Roman names July, August, etc., while the Jews have different names.

Jews take their calendar from the middle line, because there are three lines in the governance of our nature. Two lines descend from top to bottom: solar (left line, Christianity) and lunar (right line, Islam).

And since the Jews have a tendency to imitate the upper power, they were guided by Kabbalah, according to which they took an alternate, solar-lunar calendar. Therefore, on the one hand, they have a very complex calculation system, but, on the other hand, it is the most universal.

Imagine a calendar created two and a half thousand years ago. Up to today, it has been smoothly carried out without any problems. We know the revolutions of the sun, the revolutions of the moon and its phases. We know in advance when there will be leap years, 17^th anniversaries, 28^th anniversaries, 50^th anniversaries; there are such periods. And all this comes from the first day of creation, when the first man, Adam, revealed the upper power for himself.

Since then, we have absolutely clearly known any date in history: on what day of the week it happened, in what year, and so on. But there is a correspondence between our central calendar and the Muslim and Christian ones, since it includes both of them and combined them together in a special middle line.

Therefore, the hours in it are calculated as in the Muslim calendar, meaning the period of darkness is divided by 12, resulting in arbitrary night hours. For example, an hour in the Muslim calendar can last 50 minutes, and in the Christian, 45 minutes. The Christian calendar simply beats time: the twenty-four hour period is divided into 24 equal parts. And for Jews and Muslims, it is divided into 12 day and 12 night parts. The winter hour is long, and the summer night hour is short. It’s more like a sundial. There are a lot of interesting things in this.

But the most important thing is that in the Jewish calendar everything is clearly carried out and known in advance. We don’t need to calculate anything. For example, in the Muslim calendar, holidays can float: one year they fall on summer and another year on winter. In Christianity, too, because it is linked only to the sun. And in the Jewish calendar it always works precisely because we exist simultaneously influenced by the sun and the moon, which symbolize two lines.

Question: You say that science is in crisis, that it has reached a dead-end beyond which it cannot reveal anything. Are there people who have come through this dead end?

Answer: To do this, we need to change our qualities. That is, a person, as a instrument, has exhausted himself in this.

He has exhausted his feelings and his mind because he feeds only in egoism. Our desire is the matter in which we receive, feel, study, and investigate. In other words, our matter is our desire, which has now reached the threshold of its growth and has reached its limit.

Therefore, science stops just as everything in our world begins to slowly stop. We have nowhere else to go. We have no such desires, no vision ahead of where to go, why, and what for. We are at a stage where scientists feel this and very widely so.

The essence of a person is a desire. Today it stops us. In doing so, it challenges us to somehow take it to the next level.

The wisdom of Kabbalah says that you just need to move into a new system of perception. When we perceive in our desire everything that falls into it, we measure, study, investigate, and then, proceeding from this, we build our science, our attitude to life, and our life.

Instead, we need to learn to perceive the other way around, not in the system of reception, but in the system of bestowal, when you get out of yourself and feel the world that exists outside of you, undisturbed by you.

Medium published my new article “Decoding the Human Genome — the More We Know, the Less We Understand”

In recent weeks, newspapers and scientific magazines hailed the completion of the mapping of the human genome. Smithsonian Magazine exclaimed, “Scientists have deciphered the missing eight percent of our genetic blueprint, setting the stage for new discoveries in human evolution and disease.” Time Magazine festively quoted Evan Eichler, one of the leaders of the mapping project, “The excitement in the genomic and medical community is palpable. ‘Hallelujah, we finally finished one human genome, but the best is yet to come,’ Eichler said during a briefing. ‘No one should see this as the end, but the beginning of a transformation not only in genomic research but in clinical medicine as well.’”

It is great that we have “Sequenced a ‘Gapless’ Human Genome,” as Smithsonian Magazine described it, but reality shows that the more we know, the less we understand. Decoding the human genome might help solve some problems, but it will not make our lives easier or happier. Since we have no understanding of our surroundings, we don’t understand the context by which our genes evolved and how they operate in relation to the environment. Therefore, all the formulas and knowledge will be swallowed in the abyss of our incomprehension of reality, and we will deepen and worsen our problems through our own doing.

Every single gene that is encoded into us is there for a reason. If we alter or manipulate it, we will alter everything connected to it. Nature does not create malfunctions on purpose. It only mends. Therefore, when we try to “mend” nature, we invariably spoil what was not broken except we could not see it because of our blindness.

Our sages in the Babylonian Talmud (Shabbat 156a) wrote that if a person is born with the nature of a killer, he may become a murderer or a thief, or a butcher or one who performs circumcision. In other words, we should not try to change people’s basic characteristics, but only use them where they help all of society.

Instead of trying to modify people’s genes, we should teach them how to use their innate nature for the benefit of society rather than to harm it. To do that, we should create a social atmosphere where those who contribute to it are the most respected, venerated, and admired people.

Currently, the “leaders” of society are narcissists who appreciate nothing but themselves and aspire to be as “unique” as possible, or those who exploit society to gain wealth, power, and clout. When these are the people that everyone admires, society cannot but disintegrate. The self-centered values that everyone tries to follow divide society and break it into smaller and smaller pieces. Finally, everyone will be left to fend for themselves. They will feel that they have no one close to them, and anyone is a potential enemy. In such a state, the only escapes from misery will be drugs and suicide.

Leaders will not change themselves. They are leaders only because we ourselves are like them, so we venerate people who excel in how we would like to be. Therefore, we should not wait for the idols of society to change. Instead, we should change who we are, and as we change ourselves, the personas that we idolize will change, as well, and new values will take center stage.

Once we change the values of society, we will discover that there is nothing inherently wrong with any of us. Our only flaw was how we used what was instilled in us by nature. In other words, the intention behind our actions was the culprit, not our DNA.

Because our current intentions are only for self-aggrandizement, everything that we discover and develop is harmful to society. And because we live in the society we harm, the very society that nourishes and sustains us, everything we develop and discover ends up harming us.

We need not change what we are, but who we are. Our problem is not what we do, but why we do it. If we work in order to benefit the society we live in, we will benefit ourselves.

It takes a joint effort to transition from our narcissistic mindset, but the global situation is already so poor that I think we have no choice, and no time to waste.

Comment: The founder of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud argued that if a person asks about the meaning of life, it is a mental illness.

My Response: From the point of view of a psychoanalyst he is right because a person should live normally and peacefully in his animalistic state. Children, spouse, work, nature, this world, everything is created so that one would find their place in it.

All our impulses, good and not so good ones, both high and low, in principle, should arrange the world that surrounds a person. He must find himself in all this and balance it with all his flaws and opportunities in the environment, in the place, and in the era in which he lives.

Freud was coming from the fact that a person in our world, in general, is self-sufficient. The entire environment around him is designed by the Creator so that a person can reach the right rapport with himself, with nature, and with his inner self.

From Freud’s point of view, everything closes within the framework of our world and there is no need to look for anything else.

On one hand, he was right. Humanity has been moving in this direction for tens of thousands of years since we climbed down from the trees and began to develop as humans. In this regard, we have always found new horizons of development, new motivations in our world. Each generation set itself new tasks and new solutions for them.

In each generation, there was a constant reevaluation of values. Even in ancient Greek writings it was said that our world is not the same as it was before: everyone strives for freedom, children do not listen to their parents. That is, everything moves, everything changes.

Freud had no idea that the world would reach a state where even the most ordinary people would have a question about the meaning of life from within. He believed that a simple person acting within the framework of our world was self-sufficient.

Comment: I imagine the state of a person in whom the question of the meaning of life awakens. He may not always even realize what kind of question it is.

My Response: But this is already a post-Freudian person.

Comment: I heard of a case where the parents of students filed a lawsuit against the teachers who taught their children that man originated from the ape.

My Response: Our body really originates from a monkey, and our “I” comes from the upper force. You cannot get away from it! They forget about the second half.

The human in me did not come from a monkey. Only my body is a consequence of animal development.

Comment: The fact is that those parents urged the teachers to give a child some freedom of choice between the fact that he is not only a body and that it is possible that there is something else in it.

My Response: To choose between a monkey and the Creator? Good choice. But how will they do it?

In fact, between the monkey and the Creator there is the “I” of man. If you open Kabbalistic books written long before Darwin, you will see that the human body originated from the monkey—from inanimate to vegetative level, from vegetative to animate.

This is stated in The Book of Zohar 2,000 years ago and in the writings of the Ari 600 years ago. And Darwin’s theory is only 250 years old.

The intermediate state between the animal and human body is the monkey. Nevertheless, it will be proven by science. But that is not the problem!

The problem is that the human self has no connection with the monkey. It is just our body, our physiology, our flesh.

When a person wonders about the meaning of life and shares his concerns with his friends, they often do not understand him at all and ask: “What is wrong with you? What do you want?” This is what we see in the world today.

Usually such people turn to a psychoanalyst, who says: “You are depressed, you have questions to which, in principle, there are no answers. This is some kind of disorder.” A normal person should live within the framework of our world and find his fulfillment and satisfaction in it.

He must accept this life as a normal human existence. And although we have a question about death, we sense it just like animals do, but we understand its inevitability and nevertheless exist.

During the Soviet era, we were diligently taught that nature is infinite, eternal, perfect, and we gradually have to reach maximum harmony in order to live happily, safely, joyfully, beautifully, and comfortably, meaning that our animal existence should be very good, comfortable, nice, and that’s it.

Comment: The famous psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud believed that a normal person should not question the meaning of life.

My Response: He was right, because there is no answer to this question. And if it remains unanswered, then it arises from some painful conditions that are unnatural for us. Therefore, it is considered unhealthy.

It is the question about the meaning of life, about deep otherworldly states, where did I come from, and what is it that exists there?

Such questions lead humanity to very unreasonable actions, religious wars, all kinds of misconceptions, and thousands of all sorts of paradigms, and we do not know what to do with them.

There are various ramifications that emerge and the separation of mankind according to approaches to life and death. People who invent all sorts of rituals, religions, methods, and beliefs profit from this. And all this spins around the question of death and the meaning of life.

Therefore, Freud offers a very simple solution. We exist within sensible limits, and outside of them, we have no understanding, no feeling, no solutions whatsoever. Therefore, everything that arises outside of this frame is the fruit of our imagination. Let’s not touch it, it always leads us to suffering. Let’s lock ourselves within the framework of our world, and we will live for ourselves and the future generation.

In the same way the Soviet government once brought us up very simply and very primitively. By the way, the very first societies at the dawn of mankind were communist. Meaning, we live for ourselves and for our children. That is all. And in this we find our satisfaction, fulfillment, and happiness.

Question: Is the science of Kabbalah engaged in what gives a person the answer to the question about the meaning of life?

Answer: Kabbalah is engaged in first raising a person to the level of this question and then giving an answer to it. But if a person does not want to delve into it, if he does not have the motivation to do so, Kabbalah does not come to him.

And even if a person begins to be interested in revealing this question through Kabbalah, it does not immediately give him an answer. It is like it is telling him: “You have to develop yourself to the point where you are aware of this question yourself, and then you will gradually begin to reveal the answer to it.”

Comment: It is known that Einstein developed the unified field theory and later burned it because he was afraid that this knowledge would be used by unworthy ones.

My Response: I tried to explore this a bit and even went to Bern for this reason. I do not think that Einstein had the ability to develop this theory because the only possible way to come to a serious conclusion about the existence of a unified field and describe it is from above.

From above means through the study of Kabbalah. It is impossible otherwise because there are a great number of such problems that cannot be described in our world. This is the same as in quantum physics. Suddenly we encounter information in corpuscular and wave theories that the same body can be in two places at the same time.

That is, here we see borderline phenomena. Science has yet to reveal in the future many things that it will not be able to work with. After all, in order to correctly see these phenomena, a person himself must rise to their level, meaning above time, motion, speed, and space. This is possible only when one acquires spiritual forces. For this one needs the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Therefore, despite the fact that Einstein tried to develop a unified field theory, and now many scientists are trying, they will be able to achieve this only after they come to us to study. I am sure of it. I think this is the next stage.

Comment: Some people say that if a person were given the knowledge that Kabbalah speaks about, many could use it to harm.

My Response: No! Never! The phenomena that they would have revealed does not exist on the material level. You cannot attach any instruments to them, you cannot do anything with them in any way, because you pass them only through yourself, inside your soul, inside your qualities.

What does soul mean? These are my qualities that are above time, place, and motion.

Medium published my new article “Losing Trust in Scientists”

According to a recent survey by the Pew Research Center, trust in scientists and medical scientists has dropped. The survey found that only 29% of U.S. adults have a great deal of confidence in both scientists and medical scientists to act in the best interests of the public, down from 40% who said this in November 2020. Not only scientific and medical professions are seeing a decline in the public’s trust. The share of Americans with a great deal of confidence in the military to act in the public’s best interests has fallen 14 points, from 39% in November 2020 to 25% in the current survey, and the percentage of Americans with a lot of confidence in K-12 public school principals and police officers have also decreased.

As I see it, there are several levels to this phenomenon. On the more superficial level, the public simply does not want to keep funding empty, pointless studies that have no benefit to anyone other than for those who carry them out. We have built institutions, research centers, and laboratories that do not bring anyone any good. It is better to keep away from these “findings,” which only confuse us, and not waste taxpayers’ money on such studies.

On a deeper level, public servants, or anyone whose job is to serve the public and work for the public benefit, are inherently inept for their job. Their own nature prevents them from carrying out their task.

The problem is not with them, but with all of society. It is not as if anyone else would be more trustworthy if they were in their shoes. When all of society is rife with mistrust and ill-will, the representatives of the public cannot be better than the public that placed them in their positions.

The only way to change the public from which its servants come is through education. This is where we must invest our money, time, and efforts. The values at the basis of society determine its structure, and define the level of trust between the public and its officials. Do civil servants really want to serve the society and understand what it means to serve? Do they know where they want to lead society? Do they know what they can contribute? If they can do all these then they are trustworthy. But what public servant is like that?

In order to reform public servants and scientists so they work for the sake of the public and not for themselves, we must transform our entire education system. From the earliest years and throughout people’s lives, they must be occupied in a continuous educational process.

When we are born, we are merely two-legged animals. Education must provide people not only with knowledge, but first and foremost with humane values, with ethics that place unity and friendship above selfishness and narcissism.

If people are not taught that society consists of many people working together to create a better life for everyone, how can we expect them to believe that working for the common good helps them personally? And if people in such a certain society do not feel connected and value mutual responsibility and concern for others, can they expect their representatives to care for them? Can a messenger of the public possess what the public that sent him does not have?

If food and other staples were distributed justly, there would not be a single hungry person in the world. All our basic needs and staples are abundant and cheap. The only reasons they are not accessible to everyone are greed and cruelty. If the world were to produce twice as much as it does today, the have nots would still not have.

In other words, there is no lack of supply; there is an awful lack of the will to supply it. In our global age, the whole world must function like a single unit. Getting there is a gradual process, but it is happening whether we want it or not. If we learn how to utilize it for everyone’s benefit and agree to work as one global unit, we will all benefit from the abundance in this world, and there will be no hunger or wars. If we refuse to accept that we are all one humanity, then the current campaign in eastern Europe will be but the harbinger of many more afflictions to come, and they will come at our own hands.
