Answers To Your Questions, Part 146

laitman_284_03Question: I’m a Christian Catholic, 55 years old. I’ve been trying to find God since I was 13 years old. We found Christian liturgy, read the Bible, etc. But when I was most interested and focused, my life was going down, including my business, my family life.

Trying to find the God’s name, we found Kabbalah. At first my life began to improve, but then it started to go down again.

I love my Creator and want to do my best to find the truth, but I want to improve my life too. What can I do?

Answer: The decision is yours. Kabbalah speaks only about the correction of the soul.

Question: How does studying Kabbalah in Hebrew differ from studying Kabbalah in English?

Answer: There is no difference. Most important is the work in the heart or desire.

Laitman_045Question: Does a person need to change himself or not?

Answer: A person needs to change himself in accordance with the Creator.

Question: What must I do if I am sick and tired of my delusion?

Answer: You have not yet begun to participate. It is up to you to apply it to your development.

Question: I am very much afraid that the higher system will punish me because of wrongdoings against other people. I torture myself because of this. What must I do?

Answer: It is absolutely forbidden to punish yourself and think about punishment that allegedly is waiting for you in the future. It is not. A person must think only about how to do something good for himself, for his soul.

Question: We know what a crime is in this world. What is a crime in the spiritual world?

Answer: In the spiritual world, there is only one type of crime: not moving closer to people to discover the Creator within them. There is only one commandment, that is, one good deed and an evil one. A good deed is when you pull together with other people and reveal the Creator in this approach, and an evil deed is an action opposite to this.

Question: You say, “By correcting ourselves, we correct the whole world,” but you yourself are changing, but wars continue. What can be done?

Answer: What can you do; I am not yet corrected.

Question: As one ages, why does a person become more and more lonely?

Answer: This is because no one needs him. We should make sure that people need us so that we could help them. If all goes well, you will not feel lonely.

Question: Are we “angels” to each other managed by the Creator without freewill?

Answer: We truly are angels to each other. But, when I come in contact with other people, learning from their properties, these properties being angels within them, then these properties come alive within me.

Question: It is physically difficult to communicate with people who get tired after a few minutes of conversation. Can the wisdom of Kabbalah help me?

Answer: Certainly, you will be talking more with each other and with the Creator.

Question: What does the wisdom of Kabbalah recommend for achieving maximal success in communication? How do you interpret the term, “communications genius,” a person who has achieved maximal success in communication?

Answer: Everything depends on the way that you imagine the surrounding world. If you look at everything as a theatrical performance behind which the Creator is standing, you will begin to relate to others like this, trying to connect with them and, through them, with the Creator. Then, everything will be simply wonderful.

Read the article “There is None Else Besides Him” and a few other such articles from the book Shamati, and you will find the correct attitude to people, and you will be all right.

It Could Not Have Been Otherwise

laitman_622_01Question: Does a person have the possibility of creating another history, or is everything dictated precisely from the start?

Answer: With respect to every event that has already happened, we must say that it could not have been otherwise. Baal HaSulam writes about this in the first articles in the book Shamati and in Letter 18.

That is, regarding everything that happened, we must say: “That is how it had to happen” and in regard to everything that has not yet happened: “It depends only on us.”

A Formula Of Desires

laitman_214Question: I have read the post “Physicists Investigate The Structure Of Time, With Implications For Quantum Mechanics …” on your blog. Do the actual parts of the desire have a form in the minimal time of 10-43 seconds?

Can we come up with a formula of these desires and their power in mass? Is this measure also constant like the Light or is it a kind of a reflection of the Light in the form of certain desires, which we see as a picture that the brain depicts for us?

Answer: The wisdom of Kabbalah gives us a feeling that is real until the adaptation of our inertial body enables us to view actions on the upper level where the connection between opposites takes place and the immediate transitions from one place to another and the transformation of the Light to matter and back.

Blitz Of Kabbalah Tips – 4/24/16

laitman_566_01Question: How does the wisdom of Kabbalah relate to marriages in which the man is younger than the woman?

Answer: The wisdom of Kabbalah doesn’t talk about that. But basically a man must be more mature than a woman because he must be greater in every way, like Zeir Anpin in relation to Malchut, which is basically a small part of it. But this is from a spiritual point of view. In regard to age differences in our world, it is entirely relative.

Question: If a woman has a strong desire to advance spiritually, does she necessarily require a man who is also connected to the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: That is not necessary. A woman can advance even if she doesn’t have a man if there is a Kabbalistic group near her. A man must marry since he then becomes an absolute egoist. If a woman is found by his side, his additional egoism will help him develop spiritually.

Question: Why are some men only given one woman while others have an entire harem?

Answer: This is a natural characteristic. There are monogamous men and there are those who are not ready to live with one woman. This is natural and it is not possible to change. Everything depends on the characteristic of the soul. It is not a “beastly” characteristic because a man like this can love one particular woman and be in relationships with others.

Question: Is it possible to use envy as a positive benefit for personal growth?

Answer: Never! It is necessary to long for friendship and support but not envy; this is an incorrect feeling. Men do not look at it favorably. It limits and pressures him too much like a child; he wants to be rid of that feeling.

Question: Is it possible that after studying the wisdom of Kabbalah a person can change the “flavor” of love for children? Meaning will the same love remain but in a different form?

Answer: Studying Kabbalah changes a person very much, especially in one’s attitude toward family, children, and spouse. But the change is always positive and balanced.

Question: Who is the right woman? What must she long for?

Answer: The right woman longs to stand behind a man and push him toward connection with the friends.

The New Sanhedrin

laitman_933Question: Do you have a successor? Who will continue your teaching of the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: Each of you and all of you together. I don’t think that it will be one person because we have reached a state where the new generation all of my students were not created to be individualists. Now is beginning to unfold that the general program of creation requires a group.

We can see that before there were individual scientists such as Newton, Leibniz, Einstein, Bohr, Landau and others, and now there are teams. Creative, professional groups work on all scientific problems; scientific breakthroughs are accomplished only through the efforts of large numbers of people.

It is the same with the wisdom of Kabbalah. If in the past there were individual Kabbalists, as far as it seems, their time has passed. Baal HaSulam, Rabash, and I are a transitional link, and all of my students, who are called a “group,” were born. They are created and trained to solve spiritual problems specifically between them and to lead others. That is how it was thousands of years ago. And then for the last 2,000 years in the period of exile, all of this disappeared and individuals in only a thin stream passed on the wisdom of Kabbalah. But now everything is returning full circle.

Question: So have we reached a state where everything began as a circle and will finish as a circle? After all, wasn’t the Sanhedrin a group like that?

Answer: Yes, it certainly must be a group. A group is similar to the Creator. This is a unique connection where we are together and each of us begins to subordinate and nullify himself to the center of the circle (the “minus”). All of our longings and intentions for the future are gathered in the center of the circle (the “plus”). It is precisely the plus and the minus that transform us into being like the Creator.

Ultimately in the center of the circle we begin to feel the Upper Light. The Creator wants us to defeat Him. He created the egoism and we need to correct it such that we will feel the Creator. We will perceive and discover Him. Therefore, it was said, “my sons have defeated me” (Baba Metzia 59a).

A Person’s Only Task

laitman_572_03Question: In the Rabash article, “What the Concept of Failure Is in the Work,” what is the meaning of failure?

Answer: Attributing everything that happens with a person to the Creator sums up the only task a person has in our world, meaning when the Creator is concealed. The only force that exists in creation determines all the thoughts, desires, and actions that a person has, “There is none else beside Him” (Deuteronomy 4:35).

It seems to a person that he has desires and thoughts; this is a discovery of the concealment of the Creator. In this concealment, which is called, “this world,” a person’s task is to attribute everything that happens to the Creator from the start. The only sin, mistake, or iniquity is that a person doesn’t attribute everything to the Creator.

Accordingly, the only task of a person is to attribute all thoughts, desires and actions to their source, the Creator, and to see himself as a result of all the actions of the Creator. See the articles, “There is None Else Beside Him,” “Thou Hast Hemmed Me In Behind and Before,” “Concealment and Disclosure of the Face of the Creator,” and others.

Don’t Curse The Creator!

Laitman_049_01Question: Even gay couples can have kids today thanks to IVF and surrogate mothers. How does the Creator allow that?

Answer: There is no room for such questions since the Creator is Light, the upper force, which operates and bestows unto us to the same degree that we need Him. If we don’t need Him, His illumination unto us, unto our egoistic desires, develops us automatically until we are ready to properly and mutually cooperate with Him until we are ready for His revelation.

Therefore, there is no question at all as to whether the Creator wants or doesn’t want, allows, or doesn’t allow anything. We must understand that there is an upper force that has nothing at all to do with us, and there are our egoistic desires.

To the degree that our desires want to resemble the altruistic force, it affects us, but we must always be first. And according to our desire, our minus, we will begin to evoke the bestowal of the upper attribute, which is always second and always plus. This is how it works.

Therefore we should not curse the Creator or reprimand Him for different events in the world. The Creator is an amorphous attribute, which is absolutely serene and cannot be frightened.

We are constantly inside the Creator and by a desire that is focused on Him we can evoke His special bestowal on us. If we focus our minus properly on Him, we will automatically summon His illumination to us through our desire because the Creator doesn’t consider or judge, He doesn’t do anything and does not change.

Therefore we actually change ourselves with all our appeals to the Creator: “Come! Help us!” in order to summon unto ourselves the positive changes of the Upper Light, the upper force.

The Hebrew Letters Are Not Placebos

laitman_567_04Question: Which letters of the Hebrew alphabet work like a placebo and help a person psychologically?

Answer: The only thing that can help us is if we operate on our desire; if we tune our desire to connect with others in order to restore the one soul, the system of Adam.
