Reincarnation Of The Soul

laitman_276_02Question: Reincarnation is the growth of a soul. If the soul doesn’t have time to realize itself in the current incarnation, does it have to return to Earth in order to study again in the same class and then move to the next one? Is there reincarnation according to the wisdom of Kabbalah, and if yes, how does it happen?

Answer: In each of us born into this world there is a seed of a soul called a point in the heart. The heart is a person’s desire, inside of which there is often a completely unconscious, almost insensible urge for a person to reach his root.

The urge to reach one’s root pushes a person forward. Some people feel it more strongly and some less and there are those who don’t feel it at all, but everyone has a point in the heart.

A person who feels it begins to look for meaning in life because he really needs to reach the root from which this point descended like a star and settled in him. He has to go there, there is his home.

The point in the heart motivates a person by building the right and very precise yearning in him: he has to discover what he is living for during his lifetime. These people reach the wisdom of Kabbalah and fulfill this yearning of returning to their home, to their sources, and to their root.

This is what the wisdom of Kabbalah tells us about. Our mission in this life is to reach our root. If a person begins to work on himself and carries out this mission, he ends the cycle of his reincarnation.

If he stops along the way, he has to come back and to continue the correction in the next life until he reaches his root. This may take more than one lifetime.

A person in whom this desire is still silent simply returns to this world in order to accumulate the necessary amount of material sufferings that lead him to the question about the meaning of life, “Why am I suffering?” Then he begins to search.

Thus, we are either about to fulfill the point in the heart, in the middle of the way, or already in the process of fulfilling it.

Answers To Your Questions, Part 156

laitman_281_01Question: Why do we feel pain and when is joy revealed?

Answer: Any pain that we feel is revealed in a state of receiving for myself. But the sweetness is in bestowing to others. A state of bestowal is when a person rises above his egoism and detaches himself from the intention to enjoy for his own sake.

Question: I feel that my desire to study Kabbalah is growing weaker and is not the same as it used to be. How can I reignite it?

Answer: You have changed, so you don’t find the goal of the study appealing anymore. You must increase the greatness of the goal and study in a group so as to avoid more blows.

Reception In Order To Bestow

Laitman_712_03Question: I am a normal person and only want to receive for myself. What does “reception in order to bestow” mean?

Answer: Indeed, a normal person receives only for himself. But the wisdom of Kabbalah says that at as a result of our evolutionary development receiving for one’s own sake does not work.

Today the world is in such a state that simply receiving for oneself is no longer possible because we are becoming rounded. We understand that when we deteriorate to the level of the “beast,” we steal from ourselves.

We cannot attain the meaning of life that is found outside the boundaries of our physical existence.

In this life we play with all kinds of technological “toys,” fashion, and all those things that human society produces to fill its existence somehow, but, in fact, it is completely empty. If a person were to calculate the amount of pleasure he got in life compared to the energy, strength, and suffering that he spent on them, he will of course realize that it would have been preferable not to live.

We must understand that in life there are completely different calculations, that we were not created to live against our will. If we discover its meaning, we will see that we can even be happy in this life and also live infinitely outside of its boundaries.

The method for attaining this happiness is called the wisdom of Kabbalah, the wisdom of how to achieve true pleasure, not only from our temporary earthly life, as long as our body exists, but also beyond the body, in eternal life, which we can attain while still in this world. This is what is called receiving in order to bestow. In this state, I continue to exist outside of my body.

laitman_629_4Question: When does a person begin to study the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: When attainment of the Creator becomes the central desire in his life and everything else is only for discovering the Creator within this desire.

Question: You said, “to some extent, a Kabbalist perceives everything that exists in the universe as his own. For the most part, it is humanity’s desire that he feels as his own.

“And it is not easy at all. This imposes a big change in his impressions of the world, brings corresponding reactions within him.”

Does this mean that the existence of the two main Mitzvot (commandments), to love the Creator with all your heart and mind, basically means that you must learn to love yourself? In fact, does this mean that you are fulfilling the Mitzva, “And you shall love your friend as yourself” (Leviticus 19:18), and this is what it means to be filled with the Upper Light?

Answer: Generally yes, even though it is possible to interpret these words in different ways.

The Changing World Order

laitman_523Question: Why is the old world order changing so quickly?

Answer: The time has simply come. The previous order finished its job; its energy is depleted, and now it will be reborn in a new state. As an alternative to capitalism about half a century ago, “monopolism” appeared, a game played by its main holders, the economists, financiers, and bankers who are managing the world.

Now, a transitional stage has arrived for the next aspect of human development in which the state of society will not be determined by money, but by the degree to which a society resembles nature, in other words, the degree of the correct consolidation of society.

This is qualitative transition for which several stages and unique leaders who are strong in spirit will be required. Their appearance as the heads of societies and nations and the connection between them will make it possible for the world to move toward a common plan.

Why Extremism Attracts People

laitman_220Question: Why does extremism attract people from different races and religions so much?

Answer: Today, just to be “against” gives a person the feeling that he is changing the world. The world demands change, revolution in the way of thinking and life from egoistic to general equality and unity.

Meanwhile people cannot imagine such a thing, although unconsciously they understand that they cannot agree with what is happening. But they don’t understand how to change the world and what exactly to do for this. Actually man cannot imagine the next step in the development of the world because it is completely opposite to the current state.

Therefore, the next state doesn’t appear to us instinctively as any action that has consistently appeared in the states in the development process of human society, for example, revolutions. It is a state that is given to special people to disclose: Adam, Abraham, and their followers. This knowledge cannot appear in any form in people as a result of their natural egoistic development, as the stages of development were born until now.

Now the next stage of the development of humanity is altruistic, opposite to all the previous ones. Therefore, the next state of development of humanity can be revealed to humanity only with the help of a ready example of a group of people called the “nation of Israel” that originally possess special qualities that enable them to attain this new state and later to transmit it to all mankind.

Answer: All kinds of physical suffering will accompany us until we attain the goal of creation, the completion of correction, otherwise we will not attain this goal.

Question: How do we include people who are closest and dearest to us within us? What is worthwhile for us to do, what should we think about?

Answer: The dearest and closest people to us are those who are with us together in a single soul because through them we can bestow to the Creator, attaining equivalence of form and adhesion with Him.
