Question: I myself feel and I see on my friends that in the lesson we are being totally knocked out, especially when we read some article.

If I try to connect and pray, my strength—of which there is little left anyway—is immediately taken away from me. When I try to ask not for myself, I immediately switch off and fall asleep. How can we help each other be in thoughts and in prayer?

Answer: This is the correct state. Because you do not have the feelings to ask and pray for others yet. But if you constantly, despite any difficulties, ask, you will find that it is possible, and you will receive an answer.

If you connect with each other and embrace each other, you will see how much a common spiritual universe opens up before you. You will not be afraid, you will not get confused about anything, and everything will be open and clear.

The main thing is only to be open to each other, to open our hearts. This, of course, requires training, but all this is close to us.

We live in a time of war with the hope that every day will be the last day of the war. We have to strengthen the connection between us because only through our unification can we bring the Creator closer to us so that His power will protect us and bring peace to everyone.

We pray for our friends at the front, for other soldiers, and for those who were captured, and we hope that everyone will quickly return home in peace, in safety, and in good health. Let us continue to study Kabbalistic articles that help us turn to the Creator and ask for His help.

We must believe that everything that is happening comes only from the Creator, and He does everything in the most optimal way to bring us closer to Him. And if it seems to us that the Creator’s influence is not very good, then we are not ready for a different path.  We have the only way—to connect with each other and contact the Creator on the conditions that He now provides us.

Let’s ask the Creator to help us adhere to Him as quickly as possible so that we all feel the power of the upper governance over us and over the whole world and so we will understand that “There is none else besides Him” who is good and does good. Only because He wishes for our good does He perform such actions on us.. And if we unite even more, we will feel that the Creator is close and is leading us on the path of correction.

Behind every friend stands the Creator, the single upper force, beside which there is nothing. This force controls us and the whole world in general, including our haters and enemies. Therefore we need to understand the influence of the Creator and do everything so that His attitude toward us changes to goodness.

Comment: The Day Of Atonement is coming, Yom Kippur. I would like to talk about it precisely this year when we see what is happening in the world.

My Response: I think the world should already at least feel the need for this.

Question: So is the Day of Atonement in some way special this year? It is considered one of the most important holidays in Judaism when people read prayers of repentance, ask for forgiveness, and generally prepare for the fact that the inscription will be made in the Book of Life. As I understand, you are now going to say that this is so for the world too, right?

Answer: For everyone.

Comment: This holiday is always perceived with some awe. At least here in Israel everything stops.

There is silence, and both believers and non–believers, everyone is somehow afraid, and even trembling before this day. Tell us a little about this holiday.

My Response: Actually, it is hard to call it a holiday, because a holiday is something fun, light, and bright. I think this is actually Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, when we can really rejoice that we are able to redeem ourselves.

Question: So, is there still joy?

Answer: Yes, this is a day of joy. But then, I do not know how people actually celebrate this day. It seems to me that they should, of course, be aware. It is said that a person should think about the way he lived this year, the way he tried to be kind, to do good, to be a conduit of the good Creator in the world.

Question: Is this what a person should think about on this holiday?

Answer: He should, yes. I think that ordinary people, in principle, are not so immersed in evil and therefore there is nothing to fear for the Day of Atonement. What can they be judged for? Evil was born before a person, evil, envy, and other negative properties. So a person is just human. What else can be said about him?

Question: What is this holiday for?

Answer: I think that this holiday is most likely for a person to think about why he was created this way. How he would like to correct himself a little. Although creation is the creation of the Creator, let us assume that a person has the opportunity to correct himself a little. How would he do it, in which way?

Question: Is his intention one way or another for good, for warmth, and for love?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Then why does he ask for forgiveness? There are many prayers, called Slichot. He says, “I am sorry! I am sorry!” All the time “I am sorry!” What is there to forgive if he was created this way?

Answer: I am sorry that You made me so nasty, mean, insignificant, harmful, bringing only evil and misfortune to everyone. I ask You very much, to help me straighten up, improve, and be at least a little better.

Question: Are the aspirations of a person not to ruin another, but on the contrary, to become better?

Answer: I think that if a person seriously thought about everything that happens to him, how he was created, and what he could be at all, then he would ask for correction of what the Creator created in him.

Life is not about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself (George Bernard Shaw).

My Response: This is not an easy task.

Question: Let’s say “finding yourself” is more or less clear: finding myself in a profession, for example. What do you mean by the term “creating yourself”?

Answer: Creating ourselves is what we are facing. In fact, this is not such a sky-high thing. This is the requirement imposed on us by our life—to make ourselves similar to the Creator.

Comment: I do not know what the Creator is, I do not know who He is.

My Response: This will be explained to you in detail. Write it down: the first condition is to love everyone.

Question: So, the first point is: I should learn to love everyone? Does this mean to be similar to the Creator by and large?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Is it a prayer if I write it down and look at it all the time?

Answer: Yes, it is a prayer. Imagine that you are like a parent, maybe strict, maybe kind, no matter which, but loving. As such a parent treats his children, so you should treat people.

Question: But at the moment when I read this daily and realize that I cannot, is that a prayer: “I cannot!”?

Answer: This is not a prayer, but a state when you check yourself and see how much you need to be corrected. Then you have already prepared some complaints or requests for correction. Therefore, you wait for this day of atonement and present them.

Question: Is this really the prayer of the day of atonement?

Answer: Yes. You judge yourself, you come and demand that the Creator corrects you because you cannot correct yourself. The only one who can is Him. But only according to your demands, requests, and prayers. So, hurry up!

Question: You started by loving everyone. Is this, in principle, the basis of Yom Kippur?

Answer: Yes, it is called “Ahavat Olam“—love of the world.

Question: So this is what I want to come to, but I cannot, and I ask?

Answer: Absolutely! So, get ready.

Question: In many articles, Rabash writes that if you do not bring contentment to the Creator, then life is not worth living. It is a very strong feeling when I do not want to live if I do not do something for someone else. How do we come to this?

Answer: We have to think about it all the time and ask the Creator to reveal to us what state we really are in when we improperly connect with Him.

Question: After the Creator brings us closer to Him, we feel rejection from Him. Will the strength of these rejections increase as we advance?

Answer: Yes, the rejections will increase. It is necessary to overcome them together, not alone. When you try to do it alone, it will not work. We must discuss it with our friends and then turn to the Creator together.

The Creator does everything explicitly or implicitly. But you have to constantly ask Him about coming closer together.

Question: We learn that any prayer should begin and end with gratitude. What should we add to the middle of our prayer on the days of Rosh HaShana?

Answer: We must add the desire to begin the work of reinstating the Creator in our eyes in a new way and elevating Him in our feelings and understanding to the highest point.

This is the only force that creates and builds us out of our fragmented forces, out of our lowest desires, that raises and unites us so that we can recreate Him and He will truly be the King of all creation, the Creator.

It all depends on our joint participation in order to create the correct universe in which we can feel its center—the Creator.

Question: Before crossing the Machsom, a person comes to a state when a cry to the Creator arises in him. This is the last point from which he enters the spiritual world. How can this point be described? Is it similar to an animal being cornered?

Answer: A person corners himself, but not toward death. By building the right and left lines in himself simultaneously, he drives himself between them so that the positive and negative parts are revealed in him: the property of bestowal (the spiritual property) and the property of reception (the egoistic property).

They are so opposite and insoluble that he utters a cry and calls the upper light upon himself, which can unite them together according to the rule “love will cover all transgressions.”

Question: But is this like a state where there are no more options and he screams?

Answer: No. This is a conscious state that does not come from above, but you yourself accumulate it within you. This is called the cry of the soul. If it comes from the depths of the heart, then the answer comes to it—the heavens open.

Question: Is the state before crossing the Machsom when there is a lump in your throat, tears flow, and you scream?

Answer: It just seems to you that you are screaming from the depths of your soul, that you are being torn to pieces. All this is child’s play because it does not come from real attainment, which is complemented by the correct state.

People are, of course, torn apart. I remember myself, and I know these states. Everything is completely wrong. It must be balanced between the heart and the mind and come at the same time from both understanding and suffering. But not the kind of suffering that arises in you: “Give me!” and so on.

In this case, unnatural suffering arises from the inability to become a bestower: “I want to be in the quality of bestowal! I want to, but I cannot do it. I do not have this quality!”

This state is similar to childbirth: “It must be born in me!” This is the pressure you feel from within. Moreover, this is the pressure on the quality of bestowal. It is not a demand: “Give me!” It is the demand: “Give me an opportunity.”

Question: I just saw a man who was crying and saying that he needed the light of correction. How plausible is this?

Answer: Children cry too, so what? I remember I cried too. And my teacher Rabash just laughed in my face as if he had in his hands what I wanted, but would not give it to me. He said: “These are not real tears. This is not a real scream.” And, of course, he was right.

Time is what we need. But now time is shortening. By connecting with the rest of the network, you put yourself in a state where you must receive help from above since you are a transition point, a node, in this system. Therefore, you can radically shorten the entire path of your revelation of this system.

But today it is so close to everyone that you will see it very quickly.

Spiritual work is connected only with the Creator; it is only to Him that we should turn and receive answers from. Therefore, we have no one else to look to and nothing more to expect, except help from the Creator.

But if a person has a sense of guilt and a feeling that he receives punishment for wrong thoughts, that perception also comes from the Creator. The Creator wants us to feel this way.

In this case, we do not need to ask the Creator for help dealing with these thoughts. We should ask only one thing: that He would connect us all and raise us to Himself.
