Answer: Many books that we study in Kabbalah mention this. Some of them were written 4,000 years ago. For example, the Great Commentary was written in 1,600 BC and the book The Secret Angel, which came to us from Adam, is 5,770 years old.

Question: Faith above reason is the fundamental concept in Kabbalah. But the concept of faith traditionally belongs to religions. What is faith in Kabbalah?

Answer: Faith is defined as the quality of bestowal in Kabbalah. This is not what is accepted in religions. All Kabbalistic terms originated several thousand years prior to the appearance of religions.

Jewish religion came into being 2,000 years ago. Before that, the Jews only had Kabbalah and people existed sensing two worlds simultaneously: our world and the upper world. Later on, they fell from sensing the upper world and remained sensing only our world, and what resulted became known as Judaism, religion.

The Jewish nation lost the condition of “Love your neighbor as yourself” and began to engage in the routine performance of the commandments – Mitzvot. From that, Christianity appeared with all of its branches and later on, Islam. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam do not belong to Kabbalah.

Kabbalah explores the upper world and brings a person to its revelation while living in this world. That is why in Kabbalah, there is no need to believe in anything. In Kabbalah, faith is called the quality of bestowal, the quality of influencing others.

Answer: Indeed, there is no connection between Kabbalah and the ordinary worldly interpretation of the Torah. After all, in truth, Kabbalah is the hidden, secret part of the Torah because a person cannot reveal it through his own qualities.

But when it reveals itself, a person sees that the Torah changes his senses and leads him to the perception of the upper world—the system of governing our world in order to change a human and through him to change our world, and not just to perform some kind of material actions. This is what the Torah speaks about.

My Response: This is about reincarnation. I can not say whether he understood correctly what a soul is, but what he said is correct.

In Kabbalah, a friend means a person who is my partner in spiritual work.
