“What Can Make Us Caring” (Medium)

Medium published my new article “What Can Make Us Caring

May 9, 2022 — Orlando, Florida, United States — Baby formula is displayed on a shelf at a Walgreens pharmacy on May 9, 2022 in Orlando, Florida. Stores across the United States have been struggling to stock enough baby formula, causing some chains, such as Walgreens and CVS to limit customer purchases. While manufacturers report that they are producing at full capacity, it’s still not sufficient to meet the current demand caused by supply chain issues and product recalls. The events of the past few months, and in fact, the past few years, teach us a very important lesson: If we want to survive, we must learn from nature how to do it, since if we follow our own ideas, we will continue the march of folly until we destroy human civilization and our planet. When we look at nature, there is one law that weaves all its parts together into a perfect tapestry: balance and collaboration. That law is exactly what we humans do not abide by in our own society. Instead of balance, we strive for prominence at the expense of others, and swap collaboration with exploitation. If we keep this up, we are on our way to extinction.

I am not saying that we must love one another or even care for one another all at once. However, we must know nature’s laws and what happens when we break them. Since we are currently acting contrary to the law of balance and collaboration, we must also know the consequences, the penalty, if you will, for breaking it.

We are already feeling some of the consequences of our ignorance and vanity. Food shortages are worsening around the world, and hunger has become a real peril in places that have not known it for centuries. Gas shortages are also hampering production and causing energy insecurity in western, leading OECD countries, and the overall atmosphere is that hard days are coming.

Indeed, it is only the beginning. According to pundits, we are looking into years of deprivation and scarcity.

But there is no real reason for it. No natural disaster has hindered humanity’s ability to produce abundant food or ample gas and oil. It is we humans who are inflicting these deficiencies for the sole purpose of crushing one another. Nothing guides our moves but hate, and hate destroys everything, including, ultimately, the hater.

Because everything we do stems from the motivation to defeat and vanquish others, nothing we do succeeds. When one effort fails, we move on to another, but it, too, is bound to fail for the exact same reason: our foul intentions toward others.

How, then, can we change our nature? What can make us care for others? To do that, we first need to acknowledge the truth about our own nature, and then we can begin to nurture a new one within us. What all other beings do instinctively — follow the law of balance and collaboration — we can accomplish only if we choose it consciously. The way to do this is by realizing that we are made inherently opposite from this law, and then carefully examine each and every aspect of our lives, and adjust it to work according to that law.

It may seem unfair that only humans have to learn this law the hard way, but there is a great reward at the end of the process. Since humans are the only ones who have to go through the learning process, we are also the only ones who will reap the reward.

When we learn about human nature and the nature of the rest of reality, we begin to compare them. As a result, we gradually learn to value the law of balance and collaboration. We understand much deeper than any being since we have something to compare it to, a negative image of the law, and its palpable consequences. When we begin to act according to the law of balance and collaboration, it is because we made a conscious choice to do so after learning about our own nature and choosing to shun it and adopt a new, more inclusive and cooperative nature.

For us, then, learning to care about others is not an instinctive process, but a profound process of deepening consciousness, and choosing care and connection over alienation and exploitation every step of the way. This is the real advantage of man over beast — the gift of consciousness. However, we earn it only after having chosen balance over superiority, and collaboration over exploitation.

The painful process that humanity is undergoing will ultimately lead us to make that choice. However, awareness can shorten the process and make it much easier and quicker. The sooner we understand that all our troubles stem from our malice and cruelty toward each other, the sooner we will open our eyes and realize that there is another option. Then, the sooner we choose the option of balance and collaboration, the sooner our troubles will end and peace will begin.

“The Price for Adopting a Victim Mentality” (Linkedin)

My new article on Linkedin “The Price for Adopting a Victim Mentality

A person with a victim mentality tends to feel as a victim of the hurtful actions of others. While some people have in fact been victims of wrongdoing, developing a victim mentality means that they become fixated on blaming their misfortunes on the misdeeds of others. The problem with developing such a mentality is that seeing oneself as a perpetual victim prevents one from rebuilding oneself and succeeding in life. In order to maintain the victim image, people must remain eternal losers, but only they will lose as a result.

It is very difficult to determine where exactly to draw the line between blaming other people for one’s woes and beginning to exploit the wrongdoing that was done to a person for gaining unwarranted benefits. Either way, perpetuating a self-image of a victim impedes one’s efforts to rebuild one’s life and realize one’s potential.

Therefore, to help victims of all types of misconduct, we should focus on the positive rather than on the negative. Instead of reinforcing and perpetuating their image as passive and weak people whose vulnerability had been exploited, we should teach people who have been hurt by wrongdoers that they can always succeed regardless of the circumstances. We should empower people and help them believe in themselves.

The same approach should apply to populations that had been victims of exploitation and abuse. Instead of teaching them to focus on the wrongs that had been done to them, we should help them gain self-confidence and achieve what they did not believe they could. While we cannot change the past, we can choose the future, and this should be our focus.

The activism of certain opinion leaders and other public figures “in favor” of victimized sections of society is nothing but manipulation. Reality proves that these “champions of the afflicted” do not really help them, and in the end, the victims remain empty-handed and crippled by a victim mentality that guarantees they will have nothing in the future because they chose a wrong approach.

While there are certainly people who have done wrong, seeking revenge will not help the victims. Instead, they should focus on building a just and cohesive society for all.

If we create social solidarity, we will solve the problem of exploitation and abuse altogether. If we want equality, we must fight for equal opportunities to succeed, and we will achieve this if we create a society whose members feel connected to each other, cultivate solidarity, and are proud to live in a cohesive and caring community.

The Impact of Childbirth on Development of a Woman

721.01Comment: Scientists have established that a woman’s brain changes after childbirth, more gray matter appears in it. A woman becomes smarter, more mature, and, as if, moves to some different degree.

My Response: Of course. It is such a hormonal explosion, an impulse to the inner growth of consciousness and confidence! The world is becoming more understandable and closer to her.

Therefore, there is a big difference between a woman who has given birth and a woman who has not given birth.

All the stages that a woman goes through in her development from the state of a child, a girl, and a woman to the state of conception and childbirth are ascents on spiritual degrees. By giving birth, she rises to the level of Binathe level of understanding.

Bina comes from the word “Havanah” (understanding). A woman becomes more mature, more confident, and riper in her development and attitude to the world and to life. The inner basis of what she did not have before and what men lack, appears in her.

All this is precisely the result of the process of childbirth, nursing, and upbringing. That is, the mother, who goes through all these states, becomes, so to say, the basis of nature, the basis of the world. The man messes about, plays pranks, and the woman becomes more mature, serious, and sensible.

“Don’t Laugh about Humor” (Linkedin)

My new article on Linkedin “Don’t Laugh about Humor

How does humor affect our mood? Why do people laugh at other people? How can humor improve relationships?

When someone talks about something with humor, we can empathize with the situation. They can talk about very serious situations, but when told with humor, we can look at them from a lighter or surprising perspective. This takes a lot of the gravity out of the situations, and not only makes us feel better, but helps us cope with them, which might have been very difficult, if not impossible without humor.

Good humor is based on wit, on making surprising links between elements and looking at them from a new and curious point of view.

It is well known that laughter has many physical benefits. Here are some of them, courtesy of Mayo Clinic: Laughter stimulates the heart, lungs, and muscles, and increases the release of endorphins (natural painkillers). It creates a good, relaxed feeling and reduces some of the physical symptoms of stress. Laughter even strengthens the immune system.

Laughter also has many emotional benefits: It increases our overall satisfaction with life, makes it easier to cope with difficult situations, and, most importantly, improves our connections with other people. When you have a good, hearty laugh with a person, you cannot fight with him (or her).

There is another benefit of humor: If used correctly, it can prepare us to learn new things easily. This is especially true for things that are emotionally difficult to accept or deal with.

There are other kinds of humor, too. Some people laugh at the faults they find in others. In this case, it has no benefits. It demeans others and makes the mockers feel superior to their victims. Such humor does nothing but bloat the bully’s ego.

It is very painful when other people make fun of our faults. It is not the joke that hurts, nor the flaw itself, but the ridicule of others. Conversely, when someone shows us that they like us just as we are, then laughing at ourselves together with them can bring us closer and deepen our connection.

At the top of the list is self-humor. Confident people can joke about themselves, talk about their weaknesses, urges they cannot control, and so on. This makes them more approachable and brings them closer to other people. It also allows other people to share their own feelings with them.

At a time when the world is becoming increasingly connected and we are more dependent on each other than ever, good humor is a must. We need to be confident enough to laugh not only at our weaknesses, but also at our very nature – our selfishness.

If we can make fun of everything that prevents us from working with others, building trust, and understanding others, it will help us recognize our true nature. If we can laugh about it with other people, it will bring us closer and foster a shared desire for change so that we can connect.

Indeed, we should take humor very seriously; it can be a vital tool in moving us out of narcissism and isolation into connection and friendship.

“What is the root of depression?” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: What is the root of depression?

Depression is rooted in our nature, which is a desire to enjoy.

If we fulfill the desire to enjoy with a suitable fulfillment, then we feel good. But if we do not give the desire to enjoy what it wants, then it starts eating us alive, and we call that feeling “depression.”

Ultimately, the solution to depression is in finding a way to bring our desire to enjoy fulfillment that is constant and increasing.

This is what the wisdom of Kabbalah teaches: how we can receive that which will make us feel good and better all the time. It is a sensation like nothing we have experienced in our world. Think about being hungry, and then you get to eat as much of your favorite food as you want, and in addition, the pleasure from the food together with your hunger just keeps increasing the more that you eat.

In order to fulfill ourselves completely, we need a new fulfillment that extends from the same root as our depression, our empty desire, and which can thus become fully compatible with that desire.

How To Find A Cure For All Problems

565.02Question: In Israel, an experiment was conducted with selecting drugs according to the molecular genetic profile. It turned out that there are people with cancer who do not respond to any known medications.

There are known cases in the history of medicine when a disease acquired a drug-resistant form, for example, tuberculosis. Why is it that even today many people do not respond to drugs that medicine has developed?

Answer: The fact is that a medicine is a convention.

What is medicine? We attract light upon our egoism, which is in various ugly, and recently even mutational forms, and try to influence this ugly egoism with light, which is clothed in some chemical formula.

In practice, there is only desire and light, the force of reception and the force of bestowal, which interact with each other. If they are in harmony with each other, fill one another, then we exist in balance, in harmony, without any problems.

As soon as there is a problem in the egoistic desire to receive and one does not correspond to the other, then immediately there is a concealment of the light. The light exits, moves away, and disappears.

When the light moves away from the desire to some certain distance, we begin to feel more and more suffering, then illness, and then death. It all depends on how far the light moves away from desire. Gradually it comes out more and more, and by moving away, leads to death.

What has been going on lately? Our egoism does not just get bigger, and therefore the light departs from it naturally, according to the law of disparity of qualities or differences in qualities, rather egoism acquires unusual, mutational forms.

That is, the ego is getting transformed, it takes unnatural forms, not just to take, want, conquer something and absorb it into itself. It acquires opposite forms such as drugs, depression, various egoistic deformities, turns from the direct desire to enjoy the light, into desire to enjoy its absence.

This is how its mutational forms manifest themselves, egoism in a double, triple degree, when it transforms itself and enjoys its nothingness and emptiness.

What, in principle, is depression? Why can a person not get out of it? He seeks pleasure in his emptiness.

This leads to the fact that we cannot find cures for these diseases, and therefore we say that the immune system is damaged. We do not know how it is possible to restore at least some contact between the life-giving force, light, and our egoism, our organism, our desire. This is the problem.

I cannot imagine how we will be able to solve this if we do not begin to restore the correct connection between desire, the organism and the force that enlivens it, light.

Kabbalah gives a very simple formula. But who wants to use it?! We may still have to suffer for many years until we begin to listen to what Kabbalah calls for.

It says that everything is based on our egoism, and it can only be defeated by love. But how can we love each other, love your neighbor as yourself? This is a panacea for all troubles. But how do we do it if we hate each other?

The wisdom of Kabbalah explains that there is a force in nature that can do this, only you have to start studying, reading, summoning this force upon yourself, and asking it.

When you study the system of the universe, the way it works logically, and quite realistically, you see that yes, this is how it happens, and you begin to feel these forces concealed a little behind our world. You see our world as transparent and behind it all the forces of nature that play with our world and with us. This is what we should present to a person, reveal to him, and then we will find a cure for all problems.

The Bond Between Mother And Child

627.2Question: Why does the connection between mother and child during childbirth occur precisely through pain?

Answer: Pain is necessary because, during natural childbirth, a huge number of hormones, antibodies, and all that we do not even know about are released. Medicine is just beginning to touch the study of this area.

But with a cesarean section, this does not happen, and the child is missing out on it. We see in practice that with a cesarean section, the connection between the child and the mother is weaker and the child himself is a little different. After that it is somehow compensated for and made up for, so it is not so noticeable in ordinary life. But still, the difference is big.

The birth process itself is very important. According to Kabbalah, this is the process of creation, the birth from one world to another. Inside the mother is one world and outside is another. If the transition between two worlds is carried out naturally, then the child is fully prepared for the next world. If this transition is not in him, he is, as it were, not ready for the next world.

Disease Is A Process Of Healing

963.1Question: All diseases, in principle, are inherited through the maternal side. A man, even if he has some kind of disease, somehow does not pass it on to other generations. Why is this so?

Answer: We should look at diseases as a recovery process and not just a disease.

Therefore, a woman who passes to her children a predisposition to various diseases thereby passes to them a very strong healthy immune system because any disease, in principle, is in some way a process of healing.

Antidepressants Have Stopped Working

198Depression is one of the most serious diseases today. About 280 million people in the world suffer from depression that in the most severe cases leads to suicide, but antidepressants no longer help. What is the reason that medications for depression stopped working?

Depression is caused by spiritual dissatisfaction. Therefore, it is impossible to cope with it with medication; it must be treated from the root. And the root of spiritual dissatisfaction is that we are increasingly moving away from our root of life. If we do not start consciously approaching it, then nothing will help us.

Antidepressants have stopped working because a person is changing all the time, and thus the root of depression is changing because it is caused by the blockage of the streams of the upper light on the way to us. This is the true cause of depression.

I have to get fulfillment through the 613 channels of the upper world, and some of these tubes are clogged: one, another, then the third. And I begin to feel that some of my parts are not getting filled up—as if I do not have enough oxygen.

It is believed that depression is caused by the lack of certain hormones in the brain. But the real reason is the blockage of those channels through which the upper energy should flow to me and revive me. This is the cause of all diseases and especially depression as a feeling of lack of supply in the highest system related to the sphere of feelings.

The question is, why does such a blockage suddenly occur? The Creator wants to push a person to treat his illness. After all, he himself blocks the streams of the upper light, and doesn’t allow them to pass to his desire. A person develops, and at the same time his egoism grows and clogs the channels through which the upper light flows. But a person is not looking for a cure to clear these channels.

And then the light presses on these plugs, which cause more and more severe pain and lead to all kinds of diseases—physical and mental—at all levels.

Depression is not a flaw in the heart or in the head, but dissatisfaction in the desire. The desire does not receive fulfillment, and a person feels that he is suffocating.

Depression has become so common nowadays because we are approaching serious, genuine spiritual corrections, and therefore, we must feel dissatisfaction. This is a problem of a developed organism that has an increased sensitivity to feelings and pain.

Animals are not so sensitive, and the more developed a person is, the more he suffers from feeling the pressure. Therefore, he needs to wash his channels with the help of the upper light of Hasadim (mercy), called “water.” It is only necessary to turn off your egoistic intention and strive for bestowal, and all channels will be cleared. If a person turns at least a little toward bestowal and connection, he will immediately get rid of all troubles. The result will be immediate.

If the law of loving one’s neighbor as oneself spreads in society, then we will no longer see any cases of depression and no diseases at all. People will live healthy lives to the age of 120 and die peacefully in their sleep.

Love for one’s neighbor is a guarantee for a happy life because it brings the upper abundance that fills all the cells of the body into the world. There will not be a single cell in the outer or inner body of a person left that would not be filled with the energy that suits it.

A huge barrier has been created over humanity on the path of the upper light, and we need help from each other to open it. No one can open this cork for himself, but only if “a person helps his neighbor.” It is time to start working to break these barriers in our hearts.

Function Of The Creator

546.03Question: As a rule, after giving birth, a woman goes through a reassessment of values. Despite being an egoist, is she now focusing on some other element that, in principle, exists outside of her?

Answer: Yes, in this she assumes upon herself a certain function of the Creator. She is giving birth.

Question: Is this the reason that for many women the period of revaluation of values is a difficult one?

Answer: Yes, depression and very serious conditions can take place here, but all this is due to the hormonal restructuring of the body. As a result, there is a very serious internal process of growth and maturation, and it cannot be substituted with anything.

It is the function of childbearing, development, upbringing, and care that is the function of the Creator. From the structure of the spiritual system, we see that a woman in this state is Bina, i.e., the function that is above us. Through Bina, the Creator influences us. Therefore, we call it mother nature.

There is no substitute for this and, of course, men are disadvantaged here in many ways. Only a complete connection, the correct interaction of a man and a woman can compensate for a man what he will never be able to achieve by himself.
