Pray for Malchut of Infinity

934Question: You said that a person should pray for Malchut of infinity. What does it mean?

Answer: For the global Malchut, which includes absolutely everything.

Question: I connect with my ten and ask for the ten. Where is the connection with the global Malchut here?

Answer: The difference is only in scale. This cannot be divided into parts. Spirituality is not divided into parts.

Question: How do I move from the scale of the connection with the ten to the global Malchut?

Answer: It only depends on how much you increase or decrease the integration of parts.

Question: How can I increase the integration of parts when I feel connected with my friends in the ten?

Answer: Increase the incorporation and love.

Question: Is it within the ten or do I need to add something to it?

Answer: Within the ten. It does not matter how much you add, or how much you subtract.

A Common Desire Is a Place for the Creator

935Question: You said, “Either you give thanks, or you give the Creator a place to work.” If a person has been awarded with a state of gratitude, how can one give a place to the Creator?

Answer: When you unite in one mutual desire to bestow, you open a place for the Creator.

Question: And how do Kabbalists give a place for the Creator to be revealed between them? How do they feel His manifestation in the group?

Answer: They invite Him, attract Him, force Him, and beg Him; they try in every possible way to attract the Creator to the group. And then they see the result; by connecting with each other, they form a common desire in which the Creator manifests Himself.

A common desire in the ten arises when you are striving for the same goal. You try to get closer to each other, and if you succeed, then you move on to connection of one ten to another, and so on. As a result, you should feel the general force that fills you, surrounds you, embraces you. This will be the beginning of the manifestation of the Creator.

Question: How can a desire be shared if each friend has his own taste, his own shade of this desire, feeling, and understanding?

Answer: You will feel that it is common because to this extent the Creator clothes in you. And He is one.

Question: Will we all feel together that the Creator clothes in us?

Answer: Not only all together in the ten, but all eight billion in the world. What is the difference?

Question: How can we make each of our actions precisely so that we guide ourselves correctly?

Answer: You just have to think about it, strive for it, and everything will work out. The Creator will tell you what you still lack, and you will correct yourself.

Rise above Egoism

530Question: Is egoism some common quality in the group?

Answer: The distance between you in the group is your egoism. “Keep your distance”; you are here and I am there. Our group egoism does not allow us to connect. But as soon as we come closer to each other by some small percentage, then even more relative to each other we begin to feel the manifestation of the Creator between us.

Question: I am a very arrogant person in my life and I hate the distance between me and the people I need. But in the corporeal world, it looks like absorption. How can I come closer to friends in the correct way so that it is an act of bestowal?

Answer: To do this, you must feel what the other person wants, and what you have prepared for him to give, to delight, and to fill him.

Choose Connection

232.08Question: If one friend lacks the force of bestowal and the second one lacks the force of reception, then how can they balance each other?

Answer: They need to work together. It does not matter what force prevails in whom: bestowal or reception. The main thing is that they are connected with each other and with the general group. Then they will see what they need to do to create such a field, i.e., a Kli for the revelation of the Creator.

Question: How can both forces be balanced in order to make a choice in the direction of light? It often happens that one force is greater than the other.

Answer: We must always choose the side of bestowal and connection. This is our main task, this is where we need to be.

Spiritual Connection

938.03Each time, he sees more of the truth: He is immersed in self-love and does not see any possibility in the horizon that can bring him out of this. (“What Is ‘According to the Sorrow, So Is the Reward’?“, RABASH).

Question: Can we say the same about a group in which people are used to each other, it seems to them that they are connected, love each other, and feel good together? I have a feeling that this closes everyone’s eyes, they do not progress, and they have no push to go further.

Does the article talk about this kind of egoistic connection?

Answer: Maybe about this and maybe not. Do not worry about it.

There can be a non-egoistic connection only with respect to the friends and the Creator and only if a person is working on it.

Question: Does it mean that it is the light that gives us the opportunity to advance and to see how to go even further?

Answer: Yes, it is the upper light, the upper force, that allows us to feel what relationships above our egoism mean.

Question: If people do not feel rejection and hatred and are in a positive way all the time, can this be a spiritual connection?

Answer: I think not because spiritual connection is built above egoistic connection. That is, they must rise above their egoism and begin to create connections that will not depend on their ego. This is a completely new kind of connection.

The Creator Knows Best What to Give to Everyone

938.03Question: I am experiencing an uncertain state. On one hand, there is a great regret that no matter how hard I try, I cannot come closer to the friends. On the other hand, I am afraid that the Creator will fulfill my desire and give me the quality of bestowal, which is not very attractive to me. What should I do in this state?

Answer: You should stop making calculations and just hold on tight to your friends; pull them to yourself and you to them, and only in this movement will you find the Creator. He is between you.

Question: If the work itself is a reward, then we should ask the Creator for as much work as possible, the more, the better. At the same time, should everyone ask for themselves or for the ten and the entire world group?

Answer: For everyone. The Creator knows best what to give to everyone. Do not worry; everything is prepared in advance until the complete correction.

Addressing the Creator through the Group

528.02Question: Sometimes I am in a state where death is better than such a life. The Creator as if highlights the evil within me. I feel very scared by the thoughts that appear. How can I work with this?

Answer: You have a group. Through it, you must turn to the Creator and also through it receive the light from Him. Receiving through a group is much more difficult, but you can bestow only through it.

Question: What does it mean to receive from the Creator through the group?

Answer: In principle, the Creator is a single upper force. He fills the Kli that He created, and it is a great desire to receive. We are parts of this desire and receive from Him. This is how we connect to Him.

Questions about Spiritual Work—1

528.03Question: As we develop, the Creator reveals new portions of evil to us. And if evil manifests itself in the group somehow cyclically, like previous stages, how can we properly enter a new stage and break this circle?

Answer: Constantly pursue the same goal: I have to rise above my egoism and act in the direction of benevolence toward my friends in the group.

Question: If a person does not raise a prayer for the correction of his nature, is it the Creator who does not honor him with a dialogue with Him, or is it a person’s laziness?

Answer: The Creator waits until a person develops the necessary qualities that will put pressure on him from the inside and force him to come closer to Him anyway.

Question: Let us say a friend participates in lessons, makes maximal external efforts, and comes to meetings, but does not know what else can be added to bring more benefit to the ten, what could you tell him?

Answer: Nothing. Let him read articles about it, there are many of them. But, in principle, what he has to do is serve his ten and be with it in heart and soul.

Question: How do I know when to annul myself and when to lessen myself?

Answer: Ideally, we should always annul egoism and always include the desires of others instead of our own.

Question: Is it necessary to keep such a line when we lower and annul ourselves all the time?

Answer: Do not worry, you are not lessening or annulling yourself yet. But if you put others above yourself, then you will begin to feel the spiritual world in the difference between you.

Mercy for a Friend

938.02This is why he who pleads mercy for his friend, they cannot both receive the granting of the prayer at once because only he needs that thing, meaning that salvation—to feel the greatness of Kedusha [holiness] called “raising the Shechina from the dust” (RABASH, “What Is, ‘Anyone Who Mourns for Jerusalem Is Rewarded with Seeing Its Joy,’ in the Work”).

Question: What is the essence of mercy? And what do we ask for a friend?

Answer: We ask that a friend be connected with the rest in a ten in which the Creator could be fully revealed. This is what mercy is.

Question: In the same article, Rabash says that one must ask both for society and for a friend. Does it mean they are the same thing?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Without any transition? Or are they different stages?

Answer: A person loses his temper, and for him there is no difference. He simply asks that the Kli, vessel, be corrected in its external part.

Question: And how can we ask for a friend or for society if the Creator is not important at this moment?

Answer: First you must increase the importance of the Creator.

Question: But we are talking about the state when the Creator is not important, you have to ask. And how can we ask if He is not important?

Answer: Ask.

Practical Kabbalah: Ascent and Connection

528.03Comment: You said that Rabbi Shimon and his disciples, who wrote The Book of Zohar, were together by force.

My Response: When the students of Rashbi wrote The Book of Zohar, they felt hatred growing between them and built a bridge of love over it.

As it is said: “Love will cover all crimes.” Because egoism is not destroyed but overcome. The more the ego grows, the higher a person rises above it. This is called “Climbing Mount Sinai” (“Sina”—from the word “hate”).

You are rising precisely because of this hatred, which is symbolized by the Tower of Babel. The Babylonians built it higher and higher wanting to raise their egoism above the sky.

Question: If students are in this state, is it good?

Answer: It is good when hatred is revealed, which can be used as love. We cover mutual hatred with a screen, we build a spiritual vessel with huge egoistic desires inside and a screen above them.

Question: How is the screen built?

Answer: Due to the similarity between us, the screen is the right connection between people. This is practical Kabbalah.
