How Can We Understand Who We Are Talking To?

938.01Question: We go through certain states, but we do not understand at all what is happening to us. How do we know who we are talking to? In which Kli? How should we articulate our actions?

Answer: Suppose you are given some problem. Talk to your friends and describe this problem.

How do you establish a connection between each other and with the Creator? What desires do you include in the conversation between each other and with the Creator? What do you want to happen with these desires so that you can feel the Creator as you feel each other? Then everything will work out.

Buy the Truth

096Question: It is said to buy the truth and not sell it. How can one internally attune themselves to properly transmit divine truth through themselves without losing it?

Answer: This happens when you understand everything you feel and receive from the Creator, and you wish to correct it to return it to Him, to respond to Him. Moreover, the response must be correct and very heartfelt, as you want to cling to the Creator with all your heart and soul.

Question: Is the truth an all-encompassing global love, and can we only feel it through the heart by letting go of everything else?

Answer: Yes, but much effort and scrutiny are necessary to reach such a state. However, once this is all attained, no further scrutiny is required.

Question: Where does the desire to buy the truth come from?

Answer: From the connection with friends when you lack the opportunity to cling to the Creator, to the states you are going through, to understand them more deeply.

The Reward for Good Deeds

562.02Comment: We conducted a workshop on the topic “Why do prayers fail?” But if my prayer is for my friends to reveal the Creator, I won’t know if they have revealed Him or not.

My Response: You’ll be the first to know about it. That is what it says in Rabash’s article: “The one who prays for his friend is the first to receive.”

You should know the first twenty articles of Rabash by heart! There are also other articles.

Question: I know that. The question is something else. You said I should forcibly think about the good of the friends, imagine the most ideal state, and ask the Creator for it for my friends. If I pray for the Creator to unite all my friends constantly and return to this thought many times during the day, what is wrong with my prayer?

Answer: Who said it is wrong?

Comment: If it is not answered, it is incorrect.

My Response: That is what is wrong, you are waiting for an answer to it. So you are working for a reward.

If you repeat the same prayer all the time and clarify what else you can add or remove from it so it comes as much as possible from the depths of your heart, this is your reward.

Question: So the reward is that the Creator gives me the opportunity to ask and constantly returning to this request during the day?

Answer: That is why it is said: “Schar HaMitzvah–Mitzvah“—”The reward for good deed is a good deed.”

How Not to Remain Insensitive to the Pain of Another?

531.03Question: How can you feel another person’s suffering and at the same time see the great love and care of the Creator behind it?

How can you not be callous to another person’s pain?

Answer: If you think about it, it will gradually come.

Question: What is more important now: to see the love of the Creator or to enter the Hisaron of another person and feel his pain? What should we look at first?

Answer: You need to look at how close you are to others and try to help them in all their actions.

How Does the Creator Evaluate Us?

599.02Question: You said that the Creator is displeased with us and as a result, with you. Does the Creator also evaluate us, your students, based on the success of our children, meaning those to whom we spread the teachings and those we care for?

Answer: The Creator evaluates you based on the extent to which each of you can annul yourself to come together as one group. His evaluation is derived from this.

Don’t Deprive a Person of Freewill

632.4Question: If a friend reveals his desire, does that give me something to work on to fulfill it?

Answer: That is incorrect. That is not how it works. The fulfillment of a friend’s desire is the work of the Creator.

Question: Then how should we work? For example, we have a great friend. We met with him before the gathering of friends, exchanged opinions, and united. He somehow drew me closer to himself, and I felt his desire. During the gathering of friends, I felt him as I did not feel myself; I was like him.

Answer: This is not a good action, because in this way he attaches you to himself and deprives you of freewill.

Question: Then I am sure that this problem exists for everyone. It exists in families and couples. In families, usually the stronger one kind of attaches the other to themselves. Should it be the same with a friend?

Answer: No, family is a completely different matter. Leave earthly sensations aside. This is incorrect.

There are people who can give another person a sense of a small upper illumination and thus attach him to themselves. This is wrong. By doing this, they deprive the person of freedom, the realization of action. This should not be done.

For a while, I had a teacher who liked to play with this. But when I moved to Rabash, this completely stopped. Rabash never used this.

Showing a person upper actions, the quality of bestowal, the spiritual world, before he can perceive and exist in it himself is not allowed because you deprive a person of the freedom of development. It is like giving a child the solutions to the tasks set before him, which harms him.

Turn Only to the Creator, Everything Comes from There

239Question: How can the Creator help me see my friends more connected?

Answer: It is very simple! Ask for it and that is all.

With everything you have, turn only to the Creator. Not to me, not to your friends—only to Him. This is the most reliable way. You will see that the answers, salvation, everything comes to you from there.

When the Greatness of the Goal Disappears

623Question: When the greatness of the goal disappears in the group, does it mean that we are not doing enough?

Answer: Yes, you need to fight against this. The most dangerous thing is when the greatness disappears, and then everything else follows.

Question: What will protect us from losing the greatness of the goal?

Answer: Nothing will protect you if you do not protect yourself.

Strengthen the Common “Boat” of a Ten

528.03Question: Suppose a friend is “drilling a hole in the boat.” Everyone woke and perked up. And then, when he was gone, everyone fell asleep again and formed a sleepy swamp. How can we determine when it is necessary to intervene in the work of a ten and when not?

Answer: It is good that a friend awakens you with negative antics at some particular stage, but this is not how you should be awakened. It is not a method of promotion.

We must awaken from the fact that we are looking for and not finding, or looking for and finding means for an even greater rapprochement between us.

We need to identify more missing Kelim among us. They will manifest themselves from our desire for even greater rapprochement. Start getting closer, and you will see how discord, bad relationships, and similar issues appear between you.

These things must be aroused gradually, intelligently. By trying to get closer, we see that we again encounter problems. We start off, it seems to be easier. But as we are getting closer it gets worse. This is what happens in everyday life. We see how we live with our neighbors, near and far.

Therefore, in a group, we must constantly awaken ourselves to a greater rapprochement with each other and clarify how negative qualities, properties, and rejections arise in us. Then we have something to move forward with.

That is not what is called “drilling the boat.” On the contrary, we check the boat, strengthen it, and see where it might leak.
