Question: At times, certain events occur in life that feel as if someone orchestrated them, and sometimes they seem like absurd accidents. In the East there is a concept of karma, and there is a proverb in Arabic saying: “What has been prescribed from above, one cannot escape.”

Is our destiny truly predetermined, like a movie that was filmed in advance, or is it possible to change it?

Answer: The entire script of life is already written in advance, but the person himself determines in what form it will come down on him. After all, man is given freewill, unlike inanimate matter, plants, and animals who are under the control of “blind fate,” namely the absolute higher governance on the part of nature.

Nature pushes everything in existence forward through the process of evolution according to Darwin’s theory or some other program. A human being, unlike everyone else, can take destiny into his own hands. If he does not do this, then he lives like animals under the full control of nature, unable to influence his fate in which everything is pre-assigned.

By instinctively reacting to all occurrences of one’s life, a person does not introduce anything new from himself. If we exhaustively studied all of our systems, psychology, physiology, and all our properties, then we could calculate our decisions and reactions to every situation in life.

It is like a machine whose behavior is known in advance. Therefore, it is not the machine that is in question here, but the external influences it receives, the forces acting on it. What happens to a person depends only on them and nothing depends on the person himself. This means that we cannot say that he defines his destiny. This is how 99.99% percent of humanity operates in this world.

Yet, there are people who are able to take fate into their own hands and react not instinctively from their ego and natural properties, but by rising above their nature and even working against it. This is a completely different behavior if compared to all other, ordinary people.

In other words, it is possible to exit this mechanical determinism. It is not simple, but it is possible, and not on account of the person himself, but with the help of a special force that exists in nature, which is called the Light that Reforms. This force starts to act on us when we want to rise above our nature, since within nature we are all robots operating inside a machine.

However, if we attract the special force to ourselves, which starts to develop us, we acquire an additional, higher nature of bestowal, unification, and love. It will be an addition to our personal qualities and the program of our lives. The program will change because the inputs have changed since I am asking for a new program and want to go along a new path in order to rise to the next level, the next degree of life.

I do not want to just drift along the instinctive current that carries me from the day of my birth until the day of death, but to go through my life in another way: to be under new governance and to react differently to it in order to reach different results. As a result, I escape my destiny and prior nature and transform myself into an active element of my new fate.

Baal HaSulam, The Last Generation: The freedom of the individual must be kept if it is not harmful to the majority of the public.

The last generation is a concept that is extensive with respect to time, development, and the process of internalizing the spiritual laws. It is a gradual, consistent liberation of society from all egoistic connections. This concept includes family, relationships between spouses and between parents and children, the education of the next generation, and so on.

It is not so simple to implement. Taking into account that all of humanity is very heterogeneous and needs to be brought to a state of unity, equality, and being a global circle, this is a big and complex job.

Question: When a person is removed from the society of the last generation, in what way does he harm society?

Answer: These are specific individuals who are not able to accept the methodology of the correction of their nature with the ordinary methods provided by the leaders of the last generation. These individuals are removed from the general masses and are dealt with separately. But no one, under no circumstances, judges them negatively.

Everything comes from the structure of the spiritual form in which there are four egoistic levels: zero, one, two, and three. Each requires a specific method of correction. That is why different methods are implemented with each of them.

Besides those, there are also people who are outside the parameters of these levels of egoism—they are the so-called Lev HaEven (the stony heart). They cannot be affected by any method of correction and ultimately fall outside of the general population. They must be dealt with separately and be influenced in special ways.

Question: What is freedom of individuality? How is it expressed?

Answer: We have no right to force any methodology of correction on a person; we can only do whatever is possible so that the individual would want to implement it himself, come to accept it himself, and master it himself.

Question: How is it possible to speak about freedom of choice with people who are not aware that their ego is managed by the Creator? Is freedom of choice acquired the first time a person opens a book about the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: When a person just begins to learn the wisdom of Kabbalah, he still does not have any freedom of choice.

Freedom of choice appears only after a number of years of study when a person gets the opportunity to perceive the upper Light, to attract it to him, to be found in the two lines—right and left—and to manage them like a rider manages a horse with two reins. A person then acquires true freedom of choice.

Freedom of choice comes to be expressed in the middle part of Tifferet, in the middle line. A person who studies the wisdom of Kabbalah must work on himself for a number of years in order to attain freedom of choice.

Question: What does it mean to be a free citizen of “the last generation”?

Answer: I choose one of the two, either the Pharaoh (egoism) or the Creator (altruism).

I have a choice all the time and it never leaves me. Even if I choose the Creator a 100%, I still have the freedom of choice because the state of slavery in my egoism constantly accompanies me, I do not remove or erase it. Therefore, existence between the Pharaoh and the Creator makes me absolutely free from one and from the other.

Question: Is this the middle line when a person stands above both of these natures?

Answer: Yes, of course, and he constantly chooses. However, when I stand in the middle line, I feel something that does not apply to either of them. I begin to feel a state where I defeat them both, the Pharaoh and the Creator. I consist of both of them. “My sons have defeated Me.” This is what is given to the creature by the Creator!

Question: If a person’s entire destiny is predetermined, then in what manner is this script realized? Who is the director who actualizes it?

Answer: This program is actualized through the power of a single force called “nature” or the “Creator,” the upper force.

It’s a positive, benevolent force, within which, as if within a force field, there exists a desire. The desire is called the created being because it did not exist prior to being created by this positive force, the Creator.

The Creator, as a benevolent force, develops the desire, placing it under the “steamroller of evolution” and obligates it to progress. The force of evolution is pushing us from behind with pain and suffering or pulling us forward with pleasure. After all, the material of the created being is a desire to receive pleasure, to receive fulfillment.

Because of this, the desire continuously develops toward greater and greater complexity of form. In other words, within this desire, which up until now felt only pleasure or pain in response to life experiences, another component is added—the brain, the memory—due to the traumatic experiences of life.

The entire path of the developmental experience formulates within the created being an internal program: memory of past states and conditions, which lead to positive or negative sensations within the desire to receive. All past situations are recorded within the desire as memory about pleasure and pain and also accumulate within the brain as past experiences.

Ultimately, this desire is able to make predictions, build some future plans, plan in advance what to choose and what to avoid. All this is based on prior experience.

A person can also learn from the experience of the environment: inanimate, vegetative, animals, and other people. That’s how he advances. But, regardless of the complexity of this program, within it there are no accidental elements that cannot be predicted in advance. If we knew all of nature, all the forces working within it, then we would be able to know ahead of time, to measure exactly, to understand and observe that events will unfold in this particular manner and in no other possible way.

It’s as if we built a machine or computer system and knew exactly how it must operate in its correct functioning state. A person is also exactly like that, so is a group of people and all of humanity—there is nothing unexpected within it. The problem is only in our ignorance; it doesn’t mean that there are some unknown glitches in the system. If they are unknown, it’s only us.

Question: Can Kabbalah help me to change and control my fate?

Answer: It can! In every day life, we see that a child lacks the strength to change his fate, but an adult, a strong intelligent person, has greater ability to control his life. It turns out that the more intelligent we become, the more we understand reality, the more we can control our fate.

Therefore, the science of Kabbalah, by expanding the organs of human perception and enabling an individual to see all the forces, all the invisible triggers through which nature influences him, gives an individual the opportunity to make more correct decisions in his life.

Question: I feel that I have no choice, that my fate is already predetermined. Can the science of Kabbalah help me change this destiny?

Answer: Indeed, an average person has almost no choice in his life. But Kabbalah gives him the opportunity to understand life in such a way that he can change his fate, the entire flow of life and its result.

Most importantly, he begins to understand what he is living for! The whole perspective of life open in front of his eyes and he feels himself as an adult, responsible for his destiny, someone who can take pleasure from life and not just be a toy in the hands of blind fate.

Request from Facebook: I understood that our world is branches and they have roots. I read a lot of information about our world being managed, that the human brain gets orders from outside. Please explain about the law of branch and root, if it is possible and not complicated.

Answer: According to the law of branch and root, all the signals of control, all the orders, are created at a higher level than this world. Our world is a world of deeds. The upper world is a system of management in which the orders for our world are created and we carry them out subconsciously, even without realizing it. We suddenly feel that some thought, some kind of desire, action, result, or event appears. There is nothing that just happens in nature; everything is closed and everything is rational.

The question is whether there is a link back, a response that returns to the higher management, which we can replace. It is reasonable that this is so.

The more that we become like the higher management, the better the orders are that begin to descend upon us because the higher management will have no need to break us. Our nature and the nature of the higher management will become closer to each other, and then the orders will enter into us in a very logical and orderly manner.

We will begin to carry them out easily and smoothly and will act in accordance with the higher management. To do this, it is up to us to change our nature from a receptive and egoistic nature to a bestowing and altruistic nature.

The nature of the upper world and all of creation is like that, except for humans. A human is an egoist, while all the rest of nature is not. He is mutually connected to one single system and we must become integrated with it.

The wisdom of Kabbalah speaks about this. If we gradually begin to integrate into nature, then we see how all actions and events, all the orders from the higher management will be more pleasant and desirable for us.

Comment: Now almost all scientists say that we are found within a matrix, that our brain is managed, but they don’t know anything beyond that….

My Comment: They don’t understand this system, they don’t feel it.

The wisdom of Kabbalah is good at this because it emotionally inserts the person into the feeling of the higher system and then he understands that he can ascend and enter into its “managerial cell.” In any case, people will be obliged to do this, but the wisdom of Kabbalah will make it possible for them to realize it smoothly and rapidly, without waiting for tragic awakenings from above.

Answer: Managing your fate means that you must ascend to the root of your fate, to the place where the upper leadership manages us.

The upper leadership seems to be above our world, external to what we feel, but we can impact it by overcoming our ego if we connect in good relations between us. Then we will positively impact our spiritual root, become like it, and thus receive its positive impact on us. This is how we can change our fate.

I am very sorry to hear that your life is hard and that you suffer, but you can totally change your life. Try! You will see how the wisdom of Kabbalah advises you to do so, and I will be very happy to hear that things have changed for you.

Question: How does the Creator manage a person?

Answer: The Creator manages a person by constantly sending him small portions of Light, of pleasure. And the person accordingly, like a dog, sniffs: “Where is it?” and he runs there.

To stop and not chase that Light, a person must acquire a correct intention in advance. This is the person’s task.

Kabbalists do not perceive rewards and punishment as the general public does; they view them as reactions to them from the system. This is why they calmly receive any criticism or accusation as the system trying to help them to advance.

They do not attribute it to some specific individual, but only to the general system. And so the accusations that may seem to another as punishment, to a Kabbalist represent the material with which to work until it is experienced as a reward.

Question: How can it be considered a reward when a person is accused or shamed?

Answer: For many years now I have also been criticized, accused of deceit and a desire for power. But I understand that this criticism does not come from specific people who have some kind of freewill, but from the system. And therefore, I must receive this criticism in order to feel myself in exile.

Their behavior is appropriate because they help me in my correction, and as I progress toward correction, I feel these negative manifestations as positive. And if I feel them as negative, it is only because I am still not corrected in my certain inner qualities.

In other words, rewards and punishments from a natural and egoistic perception are entirely opposite to what is perceived by one who desires to advance, and is, therefore, relating to them above his own egoism.

For this reason, people who want to free themselves of their egoism, perceive all negative criticism toward them as a gift, given to them in the form of an opportunity to rise and to turn punishments into rewards because this means that the system is paying attention to me, gently and with care, as a mother raising a small child and teaching him good behavior.

Question: Like a mother who gives her child healthy food instead of a can of soda?

Answer: Yes, to receive blows is very healthy. They should not trigger resistance or defensive accusations, but rather an analysis: What specifically is triggering me, what are these qualities, thoughts, and desires in me? All these I need to correct in the exact place where I am experiencing the blow.

This is precisely what I need in order to rise from my egoistic state. If I feel the blow there, it means that there is still a calculation for personal benefit and I need to rise to a higher-level calculation.

Question: But don’t you want to receive a positive reaction from others?

Answer: I want to receive a positive reaction as an indicator that this quality in me has reached correction, not because I want to see that others around me became corrected. It is written, “Each judges according to their own flaws”, so when I correct myself, I will no longer experience blows. The system is built in such a way that then no one will criticize or accuse me any longer.
