Is There Benefit From Prayer That Does Not Come From The Heart?

Laitman_049.01Question: We know that a correct prayer is the prayer for others. But when I do not have strength to truly pray, but despite this I make an effort, does such a prayer bring a positive result?

Answer: It actually does not, because this is not a prayer but an incorrect request.

The Creator is a general force of nature that receives only one’s true, not artificial, desires. This is like dropping onion juice in your eyes and weeping. Is there any benefit from this? It is the same here.

There is no need to pretend. We should study Kabbalah trying to understand our relationship with the upper force and how and what to ask it for. We must make sure that our requests nevertheless follow the path of our development and ask for our next, more elevated states.
