I must remember where the problems come from, but not follow them, in knowledge, i.e., sensation of trouble. I must go above them, drawing closer with the Creator who sends them to remove me from the ego, knowledge, world and cling me to Himself above the blows, to the intention.
Everything comes from a single system that, according to my ability, reveals problems to me, and I must correct my attitude toward them. Revealing the deficiencies is part of the correction, which amounts to correcting my attitude to the system, the Creator.
First, always imagine:
“Whom you’re receiving from,”
“What you’re receiving…”
I feel like a baby in the Creator’s hands, under his absolute care and I rejoice at this like a baby in his mother’s arms. The states change: left right to right line, descent to ascent.
But I’m building from them a middle line—my attitude toward Him.
A whole world can be built from this one point—a world where the Creator and I exist together.
The Creator exists in the world and governs everything, including me. But unlike others, He gave me the opportunity to know about it! I care about only this—the Creator’s attitude toward me.
Revelation of disorder evokes the thoughts: where is this coming from, who sent it and why?
I work on myself to turn the flaw into perfection, sadness into joy, Creator’s concealment into revelation. Under the Creator’s constant care, I cling to Him—always and in everything.

Baal HaSulam, The Writings of the Last Generation: This continued until the time of Karl Marx, when a very successful plan for the expansion of communism was devised, namely to incorporate the oppressed themselves in the war of communism, so that they would fight alongside them against the capitalistic bourgeois government. Since the oppressed are interested in this war only for their own good, meaning for egoistic reasons, they immediately accepted the plan, and thus communism spread out among all the levels of the backward and the oppressed.
Since the backward are the majority in society, it is no surprise that today communism has succeeded in encircling a third of the world.
Communism was able to capture a third of the world. But who?—the oppressed, the primitive, those with underdeveloped social structures in which everything had extremely deteriorated.
At the time when Marx wrote about communism, Russia was ruled by feudalism. Communist ideas inspired those who had not yet embarked on the path of capitalistic development, and they began to actualize these ideas by force. In other words, communism found the Third World.
However, this coupling of altruistic communists with the egoistic proletariat, though it was successful in overthrowing the bourgeois government that was hated by both, that coupling still fails to ensure a cooperative government with fair division.
This was for a very simple reason: a person does not move a finger unless there is some purpose that necessitates that movement. That purpose serves as the motivating force to make that movement, like fuel that moves a machine.
In Russia, there was no capitalism and no real working class capable of rearing a new generation according to an altruistic program.
Lenin brought communist ideas from Geneva. These ideas may have been good for Europe, even though it too was unprepared and had no intention of implementing them. However, the leaders of the proletariat did not see man’s true nature and the goal toward which man must aim.
They were motivated by the desire of revolutionary transformation and seizing power. Also, even though they were idealists, they failed to understand that the working class, the intelligentsia, and the peasants were only ready to overthrow the ruling system, but nothing else.
Question: But Baal HaSulam writes that, at that time, a third of the world was ignited by the idea.
Answer: And to this day, the remaining hungry nations are ignited by it, thinking primarily only of themselves.
Question: Does that mean that an altruistic idea cannot be internalized in an egoistic world?
Answer: It can be internalized in a world with very great egoism, but one that has already gone through the development of egoism and sees its disadvantages, its destruction.
Time is not all that is necessary for this. A particular preparation is also needed because not just a passage from one form to another must exist, but also an individual’s inner awareness of the need for such a passage to the next level. For the first time in human history egoism is ending its rule.

Answer: It doesn’t matter. Everyone lives this way until something inside “skips a beat” and a point of connection with the Creator appears within the person. From this point, the person begins to ask: “What for? Why?” Nothing in life is experienced needlessly—you have to go through all of it. Everything happens under the direction of the upper Light.
You begin your journey toward the Creator from exactly the moment you were awakened. So continue forward regardless of your age or any other circumstances. You always have the opportunity to think about this work, to read something somewhere, to listen to something.
I assure you, if you fill your free time with ways to remain in contact with us (and through us, with the Creator), everything will work out for you. This I promise you.

Question: Is there a concept of mentality in Kabbalah?
Answer: No. Earthly human properties have a very small influence on the characteristics of the soul since in the upper world a person begins to acquire completely new properties, new states.
Alongside with this, he sees the limits of his inclusion in the general system of Adam and at the same time his animal states, especially his material weaknesses and inclinations. But it does not really matter for spiritual correction.

New Life 997 – Consensus In Spirituality
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel
A society cannot exist without consensus and belonging. The more a person’s ego grows, the less he likes to follow what was formerly agreed upon. The wisdom of Kabbalah was hidden for thousands of years until the world was ready to accept its values of love and connection with others. We need to reach a new consensus that all of us belong to one people or group and that we have an obligation to take care of each other. Then we will reach a consensus that we need to implement a general social educational system based on the rule “And you shall love your friend as yourself.” When we attain this rule in society, we will be elevated to the level of the Creator and the world will become a Garden of Eden.
