A question I received: If I haven’t attained the spiritual sensation yet, do I have to perform the physical commandments of Judaism?

My Answer: Kabbalah does not obligate anyone to do this. This science is studied by people of all nationalities, including those who observe religious commandments as well as those who are completely secular. We don’t meddle in these affairs; this is your personal business. We only teach people how they can attain equivalence with the Creator, or in other words, how to correct their 613 desires.

We are nearing the time when all humanity will have to attain the Creator, according to the written, “My house will be called the house of prayer for all the nations.” This means that the entire global egoism will be corrected, and the desire of every person will go through correction.

All the other aspects of people’s lives may remain and carry on in the same fashion, in whatever way people find the most comfortable and the best, if it matches their inner correction. Baal HaSulam writes that in the state of the final correction, every person can keep his religion.

That’s because Kabbalah views religion as a national custom, the culture of a nation, which each nation can keep. Religious observance constitutes external actions that are nothing more than a cultural tradition, an external covering, and the framework of people’s lives, telling them how to behave at home, with their families, and so on. However, this does not affect the correction of a person’s soul.

The most important thing is to attain the correction of you soul – to attain love for your neighbor.

As scientists research nature, they discover that all matter consists of elementary particles and energy. By penetrating deeper inside matter, instead of particles they start finding waves, or in other words, forces.

But after that, matter disappears completely, and the only thing that remains is the force containing the Upper Light.

When these forces are identified by humans, they take on forms of inanimate objects, plants, animals and man. But all of these are just forces.

It’s similar to how an image is created on a TV screen by electromagnetic forces. That is how our picture of reality is depicted to us by forces, giving us a sensation of the world and ourselves.

However, when we go deeper into the micro-world, there will be a point where we won’t even see waves. Everything there disappears, similar to a clean, white page that was never touched by pen or pencil. That is how the scientific research of reality shifts from the observation of physical objects to atoms, waves and then – emptiness.

Through our research of matter, we return to the cause of is emergence – the Upper Light. But in order to perceive and research It, the researchers will have to change!

We always try to act in accordance with principles that replace the principle of truth. Truth is possible only when I attain the whole of creation and reveal the Nature of all creatures, the entire interconnection between everything and am able to see that the entire system is no longer concealed from me. At that point, I will have reached the revelation of the system of all worlds, meaning, the connections that exist between us.

I come to a state where everything is clearly revealed, I come to truly understand everything, make the correct decisions and manage everything correctly.

As yet, I still don’t have the opportunity to treat everyone and everything in the correct manner. Since society can’t demand true justice from a single person, in its place, we have created social systems based on the concepts of “mercy,” “justice” and “peace” in an effort to somehow compensate for all the differences between us.

To make up for our incorrect actions in society, humanity has invented all sorts of artificial entities, which is much like having prosthetic rather than real legs. So, in order to be able to live, we have created national welfare systems for the poor, pensions for the elderly, health care insurance and various social service and charitable funding agencies.

In our lifetime however, all these systems have stopped working, since the interconnection between people has been revealed. We have been stricken by the global crisis and it is impossible to maintain the existing systems if we don’t come to know the global system of connections between us.

At the moment, we are only seeing the external manifestations of the crisis in industry, culture, education and the mass media. However, we are connected internally and it is precisely this connection that we have to correct. Once we achieve this, then all other external systems will be corrected. After all, we did build them all based on our egoism.

For as long as the amphitheater park “Hayarkon” in Tel-Aviv has existed, it probably has never seen so many glowing faces. Never before has the park been filled with as much Light and happiness as on the evening of the. Bnei Baruch International Children’s Festival , “Grow Up Happy”

In attendance and celebrating together from many different countries were 1300 children, parents, and those just wishing to submerge themselves in this atmosphere of happiness and unity.

This festival is a shining example of the kind of the programs we strive to provide for the children who attend our Congresses.

Every person includes the entire universe – a vast, endless egoistic desire. In addition to this, each person has one other point, called the point in the heart. This point contains the entire, endless, future spiritual desire. It’s just that it is presently concealed from the person, and manifests only as a point of desire. This is the point that one must develop within.

At the same time, the egoistic desire will keep on growing in order to force the person to develop this point. You can argue, “But the desire is so great, while the point is so tiny!” However, that isn’t so. The desire within this point will always be commensurate with the general corporeal desire. These two desires within a person are always in balance.

We always want to develop quicker, and if it were possible, we’d prefer to overcome the whole path in one leap. However, when a person understands that what is being revealed to him is perfection, he concentrates on his state and realizes that he has to reveal the perfection particularly in this state, even if it is the worst possible state. It is possible that he’ll reveal a connection with the Creator precisely in that state.

Therefore, we have no reason to dash ahead to other states. This is usually a problem for beginners. They think they need to reach great changes somewhere far ahead. But that’s not the case. We always exist in the state of Infinity, and how we reveal the connection between us and the Creator depends on our current attitude to reality.

Therefore, a person’s journey can either be long or short, depending on what he concentrates on. You can reveal perfection in your current state, and then you’ll see that you are already in it. All you need to do is clear the concealment and reveal the Creator, who is everywhere. Then you and He are in unity.

This is very important since we always think that the spiritual worlds and degrees are somewhere far away, and we don’t know what we are striving for exactly. However, this isn’t so. One advances in the right direction if he is enjoying the adhesion and revelation in his current state.

After all, a person reveals the Creator in this life, within this world, through his connection with other souls. He does it by connecting with a book in front of him, a TV program, or the Internet. Everything is right in front of us. We don’t need to run anywhere – in material or spiritual space. All of this space is only inside the depth of the present state.

If we don’t forget this, our path will become short and simple.

A question I received: If a person is happy and proud of the fact that he is controlled from Above, then where is the bestowal in this?

My Answer: The bestowal lies in the fact that the person reveals the Upper Governance. We don’t do anything except reveal this. Our whole work consists of revealing the system of the universe where the Creator governs. Each one of us has to reveal this on his own.

I exist in the concealment of the only state created by the Creator. I am already in it. As soon as the Creator desired to create it, it emerged immediately. I simply reveal this state, which is already prepared. I don’t do anything with the state itself – with the Light and Kli which exist in it. I only work in order to reveal it for myself.

We are talking about degrees, or states of our revelation. These are the degrees of the worlds. We don’t build anything new. We just develop an inner perception of the reality that exists from the start.

Therefore, everything is revealed in regard to me. New states arise in me from the existing Nature.

A question I received: Kabbalah’s method clearly defines all the stages of one’s advancement. But there’s a gap in one place – the transition from the corporeal to the spiritual. Why is this area left empty?

My Answer: I understand your desire to take the “wide road” to spirituality, to see the whole path from beginning to end, and to have road signs and names on every corner. And then to come to the place where a fully set table is waiting for you. But this would be similar to a dog that hounds the streets trying to smell out a bone.

We, however, have to ascend above the dog’s bone. We have to actually change our senses to opposite ones, which we can’t even imagine now. This is why the transition from corporeality to spirituality is so unclear to us, like a white blur on our path.

But this is precisely where you have to bring the Light – into the place where you find the white blur. And you have the instrument to do this in your hands.

You carry out work in all the areas of reality that are clear to you, but when you come across that tiny blur where you know you can’t do anything, that is where the Light helps you and builds a new sense in you, opening up the entrance to the new world.
