Kabbalah Isn’t Involved With Predicting The Future

laitman_219_01Question: How does the future of humanity look from the vantage of the spiritual world?

Answer: I cannot say. One can only envy people like Wolf Messing who were able to predict the future and speak about future states of man and humanity, but they do so only on the corporeal level (beastly).

The wisdom of Kabbalah also lets you do that, but the Kabbalists don’t use it.

But what Kabbalah really makes possible is the ability to manage the future, to bring it to a better state. Therefore, I cannot predict it, I don’t know it. I can say only approximately what states await us, but what they really will be depends only on us humans.

The wisdom of Kabbalah isn’t involved with predicting the future but in the improvement of the general situation of mankind. Thus, it is now that it is specifically being revealed in order to raise humanity to the next stage. Ahead of are still many stages of development. We think: “The universe has been in existence for 14 billion years! The Earth has existed for 4 billion years! Humanity has existed for a few thousands of years! And our era has existed for tens of thousands of years.” These measures seem enormous to us.

But in fact, in comparison to other measures, it is in total a very short period of time. It isn’t even measured in seconds since time only flows in relation to us.

Ahead we have many more steps we have to go through: we need to exit our current situation and enter into the next, and from that one to the next one, etc. Kabbalah speaks of a huge cycle that we need to undergo. So we should not dwell too long in this stage, it is not so comfortable.

Preventing World War Three – Part 1 “Why Are There Conflicts?”

laitman_626Comment: Ten years ago you said that the confrontation between Israel and the radical faction of the Arab community is not a local conflict, extremists would begin a confrontation with Israel and, sooner or later, this would reach a confrontation with the whole world, and that this would be the beginning of World War Three, which will only continue to grow.

So this seemed to me like Kabbalistic vagaries, but today I understand that it is necessary to begin to listen to Kabbalistic predictions more attentively, with particular concern.

Answer: Unfortunately what is said in the wisdom of Kabbalah has been carried out throughout all of history with mathematical precision. There could be a difference in time, but in principle, even this doesn’t happen.

Forty years ago my teacher told me that around the year 1995 the revelation of the wisdom of Kabbalah would soon begin among the masses, after that there would be another period, etc. All this would happen precisely, and arouse great fear among all those who are aware of the predictions.

A third World War would not be like previous wars; it is the sum of a multitude of slow and endless local conflicts, exhausting all of humanity.

The idea is that humanity is reaching a threshold in its development. They will begin to understand that they have not succeeded in getting along with each other or with the laws of nature, which determine their lives.

Not only aren’t we aware of the laws of nature, but we cannot even manage our society in any area of life. Science is deadlocked, families are falling apart, and people prefer to escape with drugs and tranquilizers.

Humanity is in confusion. The strong in this world don’t know what to do. Generally, the world in which we used to live successfully has become totally unclear. So conflicts and confrontations have begun.

The world became integral; it became rounded; different laws are operating in it—the laws of integral connection between everyone. Every person influences the entire world, and the whole world influences him; everything is interwoven. We still don’t see this network of forces, but it connects us very strongly, like cells in the body of humanity. In the wisdom of Kabbalah, this was written about thousands of years ago.

But the problem is that we are built according to an individualistic egoistic principle and not integrally. We cannot encompass this entire system; we cannot correctly cooperate mutually with each other; we don’t aim towards receiving and bestowing together.

A human being is the only creature in nature created on the egoistic principle. The still, vegetative, and animate levels of nature exist instinctively; they have no freedom of choice. But a human being is built according to another principle; only egoism operates within him.

So it follows that if the inanimate, vegetative, and animate parts of nature are in a dynamic balance: plus-minus, warm-cold, dark-light, our inner egoistic nature is not balanced by a good force, but only bears a negative character.

Question: But there are people who would object: “Excuse me, yesterday I helped an old woman cross the street”. Another will say: “Excuse me, but ten years ago we couldn’t even imagine that an amazing social network like Facebook would be created!” So, don’t we have a positive direction of development?

Answer: Yes. But this is also managed by our ego.

It turns out that we cannot just do good, not to mention carrying out the main commandment of loving others. A person requires an inner positive force that will balance him.

This problem is felt in all of us because we are basically guided only by the negative force. Where can we attain a positive force to manage ourselves and the world successfully? This is the most prominent challenge humanity faces today.

Come And Learn!

laitman_243_07Question: You often answer that is it is impossible to explain something in a couple of words, and you invite people to come and learn. What does a person get from studying Kabbalah?

Answer: If Kabbalah is a science, then of course you must study it. My first profession is bio-cybernetics. It is a specialized science that developed from the combination of cybernetics, the science of system management, and biology.

This means that bio-cybernetics explores living biological systems. I studied how the systems in the human body function, not from the medical perspective, but from a mathematical, physical, and chemical perspective, and how robotization can be used in these systems.

This is how I started fifty years ago. This system scrutiny fascinated me. If I have a system, drawings and tables, I feel that I own the material.

Bio-cybernetics helped me ask the question, “What is the meaning of our life and why do we live?” and led me to the wisdom of Kabbalah.

I wanted to find where the system that manages human life is. I had to see its drawings, tables and formulas. Even back then, I already realized that nothing in nature is coincidental. Only a child who thinks that the glass he has broken fell to the floor by itself can claim that.

An adult, on the other hand, understands that we have no control over our lives and that we cannot change our fate. Life goes on according to a certain accurate flow that has been determined from beginning to end. I wanted to know who manages all of that, whether it is possible to intervene in this process, and how is it possible to affect it, or whether all that we can do is flow submissively and obediently with the current.

It is with this question that I came to the wisdom of Kabbalah where I suddenly discovered the study of the ten Sefirot, 125 spiritual levels, different spiritual objects called Partzufim, the levels of the depth of desire, forces that enter and exit it, and lots of drawings.

I was amazed when I encountered a most sublime science that was discovered almost 6,000 years ago and provides the most accurate explanations about the upper providence that operates us.

If I am managed from above, I want to know how it is done, and most of all, how I can be part of this providence. I cannot stand the fact that someone manipulates me and especially not when I don’t even feel or see who it is.

So I engaged in this study very seriously. In 1984, I wrote my first three books about the wisdom of Kabbalah in order to share and disseminate this knowledge a little, the knowledge that allows us to understand how nature manages us.

The upper force is nature, and there are rigid, accurate laws operating in it. Nonetheless, the wisdom of Kabbalah allows us to influence this formula of life to some extent and thus change our fate.

There are people who are interested only in how they can improve and upgrade their life and the lives of their relatives by using the wisdom of Kabbalah. Others want to improve life on a larger scale, like their country or the world, or even influence what happens between our earthly reincarnations.

We can find out where we came from and why we were born with a certain fate, with such a special soul, why we meet certain people in our lives or why we got married; we can understand all the connections between people and their mutual influences. It is all quite easy to understand once you learn the mechanism of the system.

Covering For The Alter

laitman_232_06The Torah, “Numbers,” 17:3: Even the fire-pans of these men who have sinned at the cost of their lives, and let them be made beaten plates for a covering of the altar—for they are become holy, because they were offered before the LORD–that they may be a sign unto the children of Israel.

Because the fire-pans (the vessels) were not used according to what they were designed for, which means with the intention of in order to bestow, they have to be made into something that is completely different, into a covering that hides these desires, these sins and transgressions, which didn’t allow the people to be in complete bestowal unto the Creator because they were all hidden by the earth.

The Creator’s punishment is always very simple. I stand before the Creator wishing to perform an action that is aimed only at love and bestowal, but at the moment, revealed in the ideological platform of daily desires and thoughts.

It turns out that it doesn’t match the level I hoped and expected to reach in my ascent. Then the earth swallows me (“earth – Eretz” stems from the Hebrew word “Ratzon – desire”), i.e., the true desires that are revealed in me now. Then it is clear where the Creator is and where I am.

It says that the fire-pans “were offered before the Lord,” which means that the actual actions were good, but the intentions were corrupt. This is the reason that the holy fire-pans are made into beaten plates that become a covering that doesn’t allow the pleasure to enter the ego.
