Seven Kinds of Land

740.01

ZAT are incorporated in one another, and in each there are seven Sefirot HGT NHYM, which are also found in Malchut. In the lower land there are seven lands, as well: Earth, Land, Arka [Earth in Aramaic], Valley, Oblivion, Aridity, and Universe. Our earth is Universe, the highest among the seven lands. Arka is the third among the seven lands (Rashbi, Zohar for All, “Heaven and Earth”).

Question: We know that “earth – Eretz” comes from the word “Ratzon – desire.” What are these seven kinds of desires?

Answer: These are the seven symbols that represent the earth. According to what kind of power we want to distinguish, is what we call it.

Question: Should I discover these seven kinds of desires in myself?

Answer: No, we are not dealing with this. The study of Kabbalah touches on this a little, but, in general, we do not operate with these names.

Question: So when a person enters spirituality, one discovers such parts in his or her desire and corrects them?

Answer: Yes, but those are already high degrees.

Heaven and Earth—Two Opposite Desires

746.02Rabbi Shimon opened and said, “In the beginning God created.” We should consider this verse. Anyone who says there is another God will perish from the world (Rashbi, Zohar for All, “Heaven and Earth”).

In the beginning, the Creator created two opposite desires: the desire to receive and the desire to give, called “heaven and earth.” Between them is the whole creation.

The earth symbolizes the desire to receive, heaven, the desire to bestow.

Question: Wasn’t there a desire to give before that? After all, it is written the Creator is a pure desire to bestow.

Answer: Yes, but this does not apply to the creation of the world. The Creator created what is called “heaven and earth,” the desire to receive against the desire to bestow. Between these two desires is the whole creation: inanimate, vegetative, animate, and human nature.

Later it says if someone believes there is another god, he will perish from the world. This means there will not be a state where people think there is another force besides the upper force (the Creator).

Strengthen Peace

746.02Elokim [God] is the upper Elokim, Bina, and he is called Elokim, in regard to MI [who] created ELEH [these]. And as MI connected to ELEH, the name always connects, and by that, the world exists (Rashbi, Zohar for All, “Heaven and Earth”).

ELEH and MI are two words that make up the name of the whole creation, Elokim. ELEH is its lower part (the property of receiving, Malchut), and the highest is MI (the property of giving, Bina). That is, these are two parts of the ten , which govern the entire universe.

The Creator created the entire universe, which is constantly moving toward manifesting itself as one unified system.

It says when these two parts come together, peace strengthens. It means that peace strengthens when there are no contradictions between MI and ELEH and ELEH and MI since both parts take care to complement each other.

By the way, Elokim and Teva (nature) have the same numerical value. The upper force, Elokim, also consists of two parts, ELEH and MI, which join together and fill the whole of nature.

The Torah—The Creator’s Method of Controlling Creation

137The language of the translation is close to the holy tongue, yet the angels do not need it and do not know it, while they do need and know the languages of the nations of the world (Rashbi, Zohar for All, “Heaven and Earth”).

Question: It says angels do not need Hebrew because they understand only Aramaic. Who are the angels inside a person?

Answer: They are forces that govern us. The idea that angels do not understand Hebrew is an allegory.

Question: So, does it mean that something is concealed from us?

Answer: Certainly! In essence the entire Torah is. Really the Torah is the Creator’s method of controlling all creation.

It describes how He governs the universe, what He envisions, how He introduces His plans into creation itself, how creation begins to execute the Creator’s plan, and how a person who is on the opposite side of creation (meaning, the Creator on one side from above and a person from below) can understand creation and adapt to it correctly.

Exit Concealment

32.02From there, they emerged in concealment (Rashbi, Zohar for AllThe Flower Buds”).

The word “they” refers to a person’s desires, which he wants to develop into spiritual ones. As a result of his work, desires gradually emerge into revelation, and through them, he begins to feel the world in which he was born.

Question: What is generally concealed from a person?

Answer: Everything spiritual is concealed from us, all the forces that control us, all the forces that we must control.

Question: Is this precisely to leave us the freedom of choice?

Answer: Yes and to understand how to work with all these qualities and forces.

Revealing a Portion and Covering Two

209Question: As a rule, great sages, when they are about to reveal something sublime, begin their speech with the words: “Behold, I reveal a portion and cover two portions.” Does this also apply to The Book of Zohar?

Answer: Yes, where a Kabbalist reveals something, he simultaneously conceals it. After all, if he does not conceal it, all the actions he attains will be revealed to the whole world, and everyone can use them. As it is, only Kabbalists can use them, and only to the extent they are advanced.

Question: What is the point of revealing if you conceal twice as much?

Answer: So that they study.

Question: When I leave the program after your explanations, sometimes I understand it even less.

Answer: That makes sense also.

Question: Now, I am trying to ask you to decipher The Book of Zohar as much as possible. Do you think it is beneficial? Or is it better for a person to just read, and that is it? It will affect him. Is there any point in deciphering it?

Answer: You need to be able to decipher it. We must read The Book of Zohar and try to decipher what is in it. Gradually, from guesses, you will come to conclusions and from conclusions to revelation.

Question: Should we try to cling on even through the mind?

Answer: Yes, and ask! Ask for this to be revealed to you.

Soul from the “Animal” Property

294.1It is written in The Zohar (Mishpatim, 4:11 in the Sulam): “Come and see. When a person is born, he is given a soul from the side of the beast, the side of purity, the side of those who are called holy Ofanim (Rabash, “What Is the Degree One Should Achieve in Order Not to Have to Reincarnate?”).

Question: Nefesh is the lowest level. Which level is the highest?

Answer: The highest level is Yechida. The spiritual degrees are in the following order from lowest to highest: Nefesh, Ruach, Neshama, Haya, and Yechida.

Question: It is said that a person is given a Nefesh, soul, from the property of an animal. What is the property of “animal”?

Answer: This is the average soul at the level of the animal body. The term animal refers to egoistic desires.

“I Have Set My Bow in the Cloud”

928I have set My bow in the cloud.” Only from that are the upper Mochin extended, as then they appear from the incorporation of the right in the left (Rashbi, Zohar for AllThe Flower Buds”).

We are talking about the forces that exist in order to develop a person. Gradually they begin to influence and develop him.

Question: What is usually meant by the word “rainbow”? What is this term?

Answer: The seven colors of the rainbow cover all the lights, starting with Hesed and ending with Malchut, Hesed, Gevurah, Tifferet, Netzach, Hod, Yesod, and Malchut. This means that all these forces work for a person in order to control him and bring him closer to the equivalence with the Creator.

Question: Is a rainbow a good sign?

Answer: No, in religion it is considered a bad sign. In Kabbalah, the rainbow refers to the successive actions that the Creator performs on his creations.

The Voice of Children Engaged in Torah

219.01And who is the one who sustains the world and causes the patriarchs to appear? It is the voice of the children who engage in Torah. Because of these children of the world, the world is saved (Zohar for All,The Flower Buds”).

Question: How is the world saved through the voices of children engaged in Torah?

Answer: “Their voice is heard,” signifies the emergence of creations. This is the highest stage in the current development of the soul. Therefore, everything that happens is for their sake.

“The voice of children engaged in Torah”, refers to the embryos that are now beginning to awaken, like infants. They have reached a level of similarity to the Creator, that through their voices (their reactions), they resemble Him.

See, Hear, Act

65Many Kabbalistic articles write about hearing, sight, and action. Hearing symbolizes the quality of Bina, sight is the quality of Hochma, and action is the quality of Malchut.

Action in spirituality means that a person acts like the Creator, becomes His ally, His partner, and thus begins to participate in full force in creation by oneself.

At the same time, such phenomena as sight and hearing are also types of communication with the Creator. Communication is carried out either through Bina—hearing, Hochma—sight, or Malchut—action. The gradation is as follows: Bina, Hochma, Malchut.

The fullest, strongest connection is through actions. These include any actions of a person by which he wants to become like the Creator.

When we say “to see” and “to hear,” we do not mean to see and hear with eyes and ears. That is about internal hard work. Seeing, hearing, and acting are different types of inner connection with the Creator.

Comment: It is difficult to understand what it is until these feelings develop.

My Response: Feelings will come gradually. First of all, it is necessary to develop internal spiritual organs.

Question: What should I do now, while I do not have these Kelim (Vessels), these feelings?

Answer: Read The Book of Zohar, try to penetrate it, and then you will develop feelings through it.

Question: Are there any other methods?

Answer: No, because what you read must pass through your efforts into feelings, which you direct at the Creator with the help of the same efforts.
