How Can We Keep Connection in the Ten?

599.02Question: How can we keep connection in the ten constantly? Sometimes, it lasts for an hour, and sometimes, it disappears somewhere in a second. What can we do?

Answer: If the connection disappears in a second, you must immediately restore it. All the time, constantly thinking about it, like a young mother who leaves her child at home, and all her thoughts are only about what is going on with him and how he is doing.

That is how we should think about the ten. Keep it together all the time with your thoughts, your desires, and your embrace.

The True Depth of Wisdom

938.01Question: If there is a great desire and striving for the Creator, how can we check whether it is directed for the sake of the Creator or for our own sake?

Answer: It depends on how a person works in a group, whether he cares about his friends, and whether he wants to bring contentment to the Creator through communication and mutual assistance to his friends.

Then it can be said that a person is approaching the quality of bestowal.

The true depth of wisdom lies in the common bond of the friends and their connection with the Creator when He reveals Himself in the center of the group.

That is the wisdom of the ten, seen in the friends’ agreement with what the Creator is doing to them.

The Push for Elevation

939.02Question: How can we achieve a unified effort in attaining the Creator and overcoming differences in the perception of the vision of the world?

Answer: Only with the help of love and mutual attraction. Start showing each other how you want to embrace all the friends in the ten and ascend with them.

Let everyone try to do it, and you will see how it suddenly elevates you all. You will begin to uncover the source of your ascent.

Remember that our task is to get closer. We must return to the common communication system between ourselves.

Feel the Ten

528.02Question: Each time I want to feel the ten inside me, I find that I can only do this through external actions toward connection.

What am I missing to feel the ten internally?

Answer: There is not enough desire to connect with the ten with all my soul and heart.

Question: First, one needs to do this through external actions without stopping, right?

Answer: You do not even need any external actions. Just think all the time that you want to be with the others with the same feelings and thoughts. And then the desire will appear.

How Can We Avoid Stagnation in the Spiritual Work?

528.04To avoid stagnation in spiritual work we need nothing but to ask the Creator to come closer to Him. Then the upper light will shine on us more intensely, and we will be able to feel our states and learn how to approach the Creator correctly.

We need to focus only on the connection between the friends. There is a constant renewal of feelings and Kelim in the ten, and we will constantly be in internal spiritual movement. If not us, then our friends will perform such actions on us.

Against Your Nature

528.01The basic principles of working in a group are mutual inclusion and the abolition of egoism toward each other. You can reach this state through rapprochement with your friends in the ten and through the joint study of the Kabbalistic materials of Baal HaSulam and Rabash. This is a lot of work when friends get together, read articles, discuss them, and thus become closer.

Question: But our nature is egoism. Is a person capable of canceling it?

Answer: Yes. A person can gradually abolish egoism by studying according to the Kabbalistic method.

Question: Let’s say we are reading an article. What should I cancel?

Answer: While reading the article, you strive toward the spiritual state it describes, and therefore gradually get closer to the state. That is how we move forward.

Question: The point is that this is an example of mutual inclusion. I can understand it. We read together, I get involved in the text, and I join the author’s thoughts. What example can you give of self-cancellation?

Answer: Cancellation occurs as a result of the fact that we act against our nature for the sake of getting closer to our friends and to the Creator. Through the efforts, we gradually approach those spiritual properties that designate the Creator: connection, mutual assistance, love, and so on.

Question: Let us say that now we have decided to gather in a group to read an article, and I have other more important things to do with egoistic fillings, but I cancel them and do spiritual things. Can you say that in this way, I cancel myself?

Answer: Yes, this can also be considered an anullment.

Only In the Ten

530Comment: In one of Rabash’s articles about the group, he writes that when friends gather together, they raise the importance of each other and the Creator, raise a prayer, and then they feel that now they have earned great wealth.

I think that this is the way we create the screen.

My Response: Yes, this is how a screen is created; it is when people unite with each other and want to help each other. In this unity, the screen is formed between them.

Question: Is there any other way to build a screen?

Answer: No. Only in the ten.

Questions about Spiritual Work—51

253Question: We say that a person should be like a guy who thinks about a girl all the time. The girl in this example is the Creator. Who is the ten in this example?

Answer: The ten is a society that sets up a guy to connect with a girl.

Question: To build the right screen, do you need to know and keep the commandments, or is it just a work with the intention?

Answer: For now this is only work with the intention.

Question: What is the difference between faith and the Kelim of bestowal?

Answer: Faith is the quality of bestowal. And we need the Kelim (vessels) of bestowal in order to raise our faith to the Creator from them.

Question: You say that prayer must be complete so that it does not remain in the air. On the other hand, you say that the Creator will correct our prayer if it is wrong. Which prayer do we leave up in the air, and which one will the Creator correct?

Answer: The Creator decides this.

On What Should One Focus in Spiritual Work?

938.04Question: What should we focus on more in spiritual work: on the greatness of the teacher who constantly guides us or on the greatness of the ten?

Answer: The teacher exists as if from the side. You incorporate in the ten, and together with the ten you strive to the Creator.

The teacher teaches you, supports you, guides you, and pushes you, but he is still like an outsider. Of course, you get the direction, the strength, the examples, the language, everything from me.

Nevertheless, the main thing is to strive through friends only to the Creator, to be in alliance with them and fly to the goal.
