What Is the World Made For?

232.05Question: Why is intention not related to the physical body?

Answer: It is because the physical body is the desire to receive. The desire to receive cannot give. Thus, its action can be one of two things: either to restrict itself and not receive, or to receive. What happens to the desire to receive when the property of Bina is added to it?

Comment: The ability to give is added.

My Response: How is that? Can the desire to receive give? Can the desire to receive start giving when the second stage enters the fourth stage? It can make a restriction, but it can never give! Only the intention behind the action is added to it.

Therefore we say that in both education and correction, we in fact pay attention not to the desire to receive, but only to intentions. That is what is important to us. To the extent of our intention, we take the desire to receive and combine them together.

I use the desire to receive only to the extent that I can increase the intention. What does the world exist for? For the intention or for the desire to receive? For the intention! To constantly nurture it. At the same time, the desire to receive is matter, raw material. As it belonged to the Creator, so it does now. The creation is the one who builds an intention above the desire to receive.

Based on the Intention

219.01Question: Where does advancement from our current state begin?

Answer: We do not need to change any of our actions; we are only required to give all the actions we perform in life the correct direction. That will be the difference.

A person does not perform bad or good deeds; his desires remain as they were and must receive their fulfillment. Just as Malchut was filled before the first restriction, so it will be filled at the end of correction. The first restriction acts only in order to build an intention for the sake of bestowal upon each desire.

That is, a person should not be thinking about his actions at all. When educating him, we do not forbid anything; we only teach how to connect with the Creator. If a person wants to establish a connection with the Creator, then adhesion is his final state, and now he must find a foothold for that connection; that is his current goal.

This is exactly what we teach him: how to grab hold of the “end of the rope,” how to ascend along it continuously. This ascent by the “rope” of intentions is called the spiritual ascent through the ladder from world to world until he reaches 100% intention, 100% connection.

As for a person’s desires, the essence of his actions will change according to the intention; yet the actions themselves will remain the same as before. Will he no longer eat or drink? Will he not reproduce or work?

Everything will remain as it was. Simply, based on the intention, he will naturally calibrate his actions. And in doing so, he will not have to restrain himself. This will occur because his inner world will establish a new relationship between thoughts and actions and filter them, but only from within his internal development, without any external suppression from us or anyone else.

We see how useless suppression is. What can the police do? What can all the prisons in the world achieve? Absolutely nothing! Education can rely only on personal example and should serve solely to give a person a connection to the upper force from which he will then receive everything. And only then, thanks to this, will the person change.

It is impossible to change a person by any other means. We have already seen all possible methods throughout history, and not one of them has worked—not a single one! Because aside from the change of intention, there is nothing else we need to do in the entire universe.

Find the Point of Connection with the Common Kli

938.04Question: If a person tries to carry out spiritual work in thought and action, but the heart remains deaf, a feeling arises that some kind of heaviness is constantly happening there.

How can I unite with the others from within this heaviness in the heart? What should I do to make use of this opportunity?

Answer: You must find the point of connection with the common group, with the common Kli. And from there you will begin to feel yourself in the center of that group. There you will receive answers.

Question: Am I searching for this common point through prayer?

Answer: Yes, the prayer is there as well.

Pray for the Collective

938.03Question: How can I pray correctly for the collective and ask the Creator for them if my heart only wants to pray for myself?

Answer: Try to think in a way that you genuinely want to ask for the collective, for the group, for those close to you, and for your friends. It all depends on how much you think about this.

Question: When I see a discrepancy in every point and ask for correction, but I ask for myself, how can I make that prayer for the collective?

Answer: Add the words that you are praying for everyone to it.

When One Wants to Pray without Stopping

938.03Question: At this convention it feels like there are no questions, rather just a strong, continuous desire to pray so that this prayer reaches the Creator.

Tell us, what should the prayer at this convention be? What should we pray for?

Answer: That is something you need to tell me.

Question: You say that we need to refine the request, to structure it. There is a prayer: “Unite us, raise us to You, help us all come together to the king’s palace!” But somehow it dissipates.

Answer: Then raise the prayer from one person, from yourself.

Question: How do I do it correctly?

Answer: From the heart.

Question: Do I need to feel everyone and unite them in my heart?

Answer: Start and then you will see.

How Do I Find the Entrance to the Creator?

232.1

Question: You said that we need to enter the system through which we raise questions and problems to the Creator.

But if I have questions and problems, I do not think about the system. And if I do not think about the system, I do not think about the questions and problems. How do these two connect? How do I find that entrance where I can raise these questions?

Answer: You must demand from the Creator that He answer all your questions. And then, through His answers, you will see how you are making your way toward Him through your questions, and how this helps you reach direct contact with Him.

Demand Connection with the Upper One

232.01Question: You said that we should see the difference between our initial state and our current one. I feel that I do see this difference. But how can I be sure that it is not just my illusion and that real progress is happening?

Answer: You must keep persistently demanding connection with the higher Partzuf, which clothes itself in you and moves you forward.

Question: How can one correctly redirect one’s thoughts toward the Creator?

Answer: I think there is no need to think about it too much. You simply need to understand how to adhere to the Creator. And if you can do that, you do not need anything else.

We Lack Intention

263Which of our actions is most suitable for the surrounding light that will come and correct us? It is the action of a group that is striving to unite in order to merge with the Creator. The formula is very simple. But the problem is that when we start doing it, we forget for what.

We have not sufficiently clarified the intention in each action. Moreover, it is not the same for different people. We need to work on this as much as possible.

If you add a clearer, more demanding intention to the smallest action, it will be a lot more effective and will bring much more benefit. We are going through many actions right now, but we are not very good at intention. The quality of the effort is what is missing.

There is always a problem with that, in every group and in every state. We can do many actions. I often receive emails where people list everything they have done, and ask: “When will it happen already, and where is all that?” What can I say to that?

Indeed, groups do a lot, but there is not enough intention, or it is not sufficient. According to the level of development of the group, the intention should be much more united, much more scrutinized. The purpose of the intention is to be a battering ram.

A Night in the Desert

931.01It is impossible to rise alone. After all, to rise higher means to connect even more with everyone, up to the very top level where we all merge without any differences between us. Therefore, the more support I get from the others and I myself support them, the larger the field we get for work.

After all, who is this upper? It is our connection. If we really unite now, we will be able to implement this action in practice and not just fantasize about the upper and our feelings. It is not for no reason that we live in our world of physical actions; it is so that we are able to experience these actions in it instead of the spiritual world and be able to perform them here, like children playing a game.

Due to this, we will connect more and more and envision that by this action we become like the upper one, because He bestows to everyone. The closer we connect, the closer we get to the AHP of the upper and attach ourselves there to the single source that affects everyone.

If we do this and strengthen each other, we will create our common request, a societal prayer with which we can demand the power of mutual bestowal from the upper.

After all, we feel that we are not able to connect. It is even harder for us than for someone who is alone. Alone, someone does not feel the lack of desire to bestow so strongly. And when we are actively working in a group, we feel that according to our verification, we have no way to connect. No matter how much we talk about it, sing together, dance, and jump, nothing works.

Our GE becomes similar to AHP of the upper; that is, we rise above our worries, problems, concerns, private calculations, and all our thoughts are above, like the AHP of the upper one. This is how we approach and cling to Him. Now we already have a partial spiritual vessel, our GE, with which we can cling to the upper one.

Of course, this is not yet a complete vessel but only a partial one. But after a certain number of actions, which are called “forty years of wandering in the desert,” the stage of Bina (Chafetz Hesed), bestowal for the sake of bestowal, the level of faith, we receive the ability in some part of our desire to connect with the upper, to rise to the same level with Him.

Therefore, if we feel darkness, and this is not an individual, unconscious experience, but a common feeling of the impossibility of our connection, if this is what we perceive as darkness, then this common feeling can be the beginning of a genuine prayer.

Then it is worth going to the desert to enhance this feeling and receive the glow of the AHP of the upper, which will help us with our GE, our desires to bestow, to attach to Him.

Three Conditions of a True Request to the Creator

276.01Question: I heard when one of your students said that “I am trying, I am asking,” you responded: “You are asking poorly.”

What is the correct request to the Creator? What state must a person reach in order to truly ask the Creator for correction?

Answer: A true request consists of several conditions.

The first condition is that I am desperately missing something specific, and I know exactly what it is. At the same time, I cannot replace my request with anything else; it is so urgent that it would be better to die than not to receive it.

The second condition is whom to turn to, from whom to ask. That is, it is not enough that I lack something, I must know exactly who has it. In other words, there is a source from which I can receive. I need to identify Him and know precisely that exactly what I need is there, one to one.

The third condition is to be certain that this source responds to me. It is not just a wall that I will bang my head against and achieve nothing. It is a source that perhaps is even waiting for me to turn to Him. He has a kind heart, a kind attitude toward me, and He is just waiting for me to turn to Him. But first of all is to turn specifically to Him and secondly with the most urgent request.

In addition, it is possible that He has another condition, that I should rejoice at the opportunity to turn to Him because thanks to my realization that exactly He has what I desire, I have found Him. That is the most important thing! Because my entire hunger and what He has to satisfy my hunger is merely a reason to establish contact with Him.

That is when the request is genuine. That is, it is not for the sake of quenching hunger and getting something from Him but in order to connect with Him, above hunger and its satisfaction. Then this request will truly bring its result, the unification between us.
