As a result of the descent of the worlds, our desire to enjoy is getting increasingly remote from the Creator, passing through restrictions, filters, splits, and various concealments along this path. Having reached this world, the desire to enjoy finds itself behind five worlds (Olamot)—concealments (Alamot), that is, in the worst condition.

This world, which is mentioned in Kabbalistic books, is the lowest of all possible spiritual states, and our corporeal world is even lower.

The desire to enjoy descends the steps of all the worlds and reaches a state in which it materializes, turns into matter; it loses all connection with the upper worlds. Therefore, it does not matter in which material, animal body a person who wants to attain the spiritual world exists. His arm or leg can be amputated or an organ from another person absolutely remote from spirituality can be transplanted in him, but this would have no effect on his spiritual attainment.

One might wonder how you can lose your right hand if, according to spiritual laws, it relates to bestowal and you always have to start from the right side. However, our body is a simple animal, absolutely unrelated to spiritual attainment. Of course, it has its own important function because it is given to us so that we can begin our spiritual development by expressing our own desire to attain the Creator.

Love cannot be forced. Otherwise, it would not be called love but “calculation.” Therefore, the Creator could not create us with a ready desire to love Him. That is why we were forced to descend to this world completely detached from the spiritual system and to begin the way back from this point.

Existing in an animal body now in our own world, isolated from all spiritual worlds and from the Creator, we must begin to develop our own desire to love the Creator as He loves us. If a person has a point in the heart that awakens him to this, then he can feel that someone is calling him and begin his journey back to the Creator.¹

The ten is the basis of the universe’s structure, as a cell of the organism that is the source of life. We do not understand that by entering the ten we open the gates to the upper world. Then, we see that our present state is imaginary, existing only in order to provide us with the opportunity to enter spirituality on our own, by our own choice. We must want to develop and become equal to the Creator by ourselves. All previous corporeal life will lose its meaning.

Everything produced by our hands, feet, and mouth, actually does not exist. We live in an imaginary world. Our real life begins only in the ten and beyond, and this is what remains with us forever. So, let’s decide whether we want it or not.²

The transition is a short and difficult period because it requires you to leave the old place, those special conditions in which we are located, our properties, and move on to new qualities. That is, we are obliged to leave the previous, familiar and comprehensible conditions under which we have already established contact with each other and created a common Kli in a certain form. Suddenly, we find ourselves in some intermediate state, incomprehensible, unknown, unstable, and confusing, containing several new, changing conditions, until we reach a new stage.

This new state is also unfamiliar, incomprehensible, and takes time to stabilize. There are people who adapt easily to such changes, while others have great difficulty. But in any case, the transition period is not easy for anyone. Our basic level is the animate one. An animal dislikes change. It exists according to its nature. However, now the human level is changing in us, and such changes cause us to constantly experience new feelings, confusion, and unsolvable contradictions.

First of all, one needs to understand that the transition period belongs to the human level and that without these changes, it is impossible to become human. Although it is not easy, Kabbalists must go through them. During the transition, a person loses self-control and does not understand how and exactly what to control because internal parameters change and the perception changes accordingly.

And besides, a person has no understanding where the change is or what is right and wrong. There are conditions that are very difficult to overcome. The only solution in this situation is to focus more on the action than on the thoughts: to connect more strongly with the group, the friends. You will then find yourself in a new state. There is no doubt that the next new state requires us to have greater connection with the group.

In the material world, transitional periods last billions of years, but on a spiritual level such a transition takes a few years, accommodating a lot of huge changes. We are moving from one world to another and even not once, but several times. Let us hope that we will make this transition with understanding and that we will support each other because this is a transition to a spiritual level.¹

The whole world should be perceived as a person’s own spiritual Kli. There are friends in this world who think the same way I do and strive for the same goal. This is my support, my properties that are in solidarity with me. But there are those who have not yet been corrected and I need to try to bring them closer to me, correct them, and include them in myself. I myself am the most flexible part that I can dispose of, and therefore, I can descend to others, absorb, embrace, lift, and give the correct form to our connection.

The whole world should be considered as my soul, which I attach to myself gradually, circle after circle: from the first circle, my “I,” then my friends, the world community of Bnei Baruch, and then the whole world.

The transition period is the time of the learning about one’s own soul, the Kli. The whole world is my soul and I need to gradually start to attach it, take care of it, and include it. This is not just the outside world with many different nations, the inanimate nature, plants, animals and other galaxies. Such a picture only appears in my imagination. In fact, all of reality is within me, and I include the whole world.

Every person must say: “The whole world was created for me,” and so I must constantly take care of correcting the world and fulfilling its needs. In essence, I see flaws not in others, but in myself, and I pray for my correction until this entire reality is included within me, and I will see it as the ten Sefirot of my spiritual Kli.²

By changing my properties, I see how the world changes. The world is a projection of my properties. It only seems to me that it exists outside of me, but in fact, it is only inside of me, as if there is a projector inside me that projects my properties outwardly in the form of a picture of the world. Therefore, by changing my properties, I can change the world by projecting a film that I see in front of me.³

The group is given to me so that I can form my inner world inside it, as if it is my external reality, and begin to manage both worlds. Looking at the external reality, I change myself from the inside, and when I look at my internal reality, I know what needs to change from the outside.

The outside world is given to me so that I can see my inner properties with greater resolution, with more details. We must be grateful for the opportunity to see the world outside ourselves because it gives us a very accurate, wide, deep and rich knowledge. If we looked at these properties within ourselves, we would not see anything.

We change the properties within ourselves and do not really understand how this affects everything. Only by changes in the external world can one judge the essence of his internal changes. By correcting relationships with friends, I correct my inner qualities. This happens until all the friends are in my heart and turn into ten Sefirot, given to me each time to tune myself to the perception of a higher spiritual reality.⁴

Question: If the whole world is inside of me, who am I?

Answer: This is the most difficult question because I can understand, find out, and interpret myself only when I attain my full correction, meaning the level of the Creator. Then I will feel what I actually am—a small point within the higher power, within the Creator.

Question: Who are the other people in my world, inside of me, if they are derived from my characteristics, from my perception? Do they truly exist?

Answer: They don’t exist in themselves. I create them within me.

Question: When I change, will I stop being myself or will I find myself, my future self?

Answer: By changing myself, I find my future self.

Question: Is love of others really loving parts of myself since the whole world is inside me and flows and lives only within my feeling? Should I learn to love myself differently, in a broader sense?

Answer: You need to exit your ego, transcend it. With its help, but in an opposite way, when it becomes a bestower of the receiving property, it communicates and connects with others.

Question: How can I not confuse a real yearning for spiritual feeling with my emotional and mental state? All of these states are transmitted to my brain.

Answer: At first you will be confused, but you will gradually begin to shape everything within you. This will begin to transform into images, dependencies, conditions, and maybe even graphics. Gradually this method will become part of you.

Question: Does my desire have a special power? Can I correct and change something through the force of my will?

Answer: No you cannot change anything with your will. Only through your connection with others, only by actions above your egoism, can you change your nature and those around you.

Question: If all the others are parts of me and everything is inside me, then what is we?

Answer: We are parts of a single desire called Adam.

Question: If every person has his own reality, can we combine them into one by sharing our feelings, sensations, and differences in perceptions? Is that enough?

Answer: I cannot tell you how to integrate different realities into a single perception. I don’t have the words to describe this.

Question: If the number of states denotes time, then when I fall is it the same as moving backward in time, and when I ascend is this moving forward?

Answer: Not necessarily. There is a descent for the sake of hastening movement forward. We just need to assess the quality of the movement correctly, not its vector or quantitative value.

Question: Is spiritual matter energy and are the forces of the physical world on a different layer parallel to the spiritual?

Answer: Physical forces are egoistic forces; therefore, they don’t exist in the spiritual world. It is even impossible to say that they are parallel to spiritual forces because our world does not exist. Our world is called an imaginary world, a world we imagine.

Question: Do intermediary worlds exist, or only a spiritual world and a material world?

Answer: There are no intermediary worlds. But the spiritual world consists of five levels: Assiya, Yetzira, Beria, Atzilut, and Adam Kadmon, and Olam Ein Sof (the world of infinity) to which we must go through all 125 levels. These worlds differ in the quality of the connection between the units, parts, and elements.

Question: If my fate is made by the Creator, why must I bestow  and change it?

Answer: The Creator created you so that you must change yourself! You are obligated to do so.

Question: When we feel pain and suffering in the physical world, does this mean that the Creator is educating us through this? Does this happen when we don’t want to correct ourselves?

Answer: Right! We sense pain when we do not want to educate ourselves, and do not want to be corrected!

Question: If I get all the fuel through the system of the worlds of impurity, what can take me out of the control of the egoistic kingdom to the spiritual world?

Answer: The same spiritual forces can throw us out of the spiritual level so we can better understand our situation.

Question: What does it mean to be like a Kabbalistic teacher if he is already in spirituality and I am still in materiality?

Answer: To help him by understanding what he wants from you. In this world, this is the main work of a person who has a teacher. This is better than doing any other actions and receiving instructions.

Question: How do I want spiritual advancement?

Answer: Become integrated in a group. Only if a person is included in a group and advances together with it, can he advance seriously. Without friends, he will not have the strength to move forward.

Question: Does the soul remember its previous lives when it is in the spiritual world after the death of the body, and can it influence its correction?

Answer: What prevents it from making corrections during the life of the beastly body? There is no limit to the state of the soul in relation to it. Nothing changes as a result of the rotting of the beastly body.

Question: How can mind and feeling exist without a physical body? What will sense the feeling? Where is the mind born and where does it reside?

Answer: Feeling is not a body. Our body is just some substance that seems as if it exists. Some movements and modifications are reflected in it and we feel alive.

In reality, we exist in the Creator’s thought. Nothing exists besides this thought. The whole universe, everything that exists, is just a thought.

Talk to astronomers, ask astrophysicists, and they will say the same. Working with celestial bodies, they feel that this is a plan, a thought.

The science of Kabbalah says the same: matter does not exist, we feel it as a result of the perception of thought.

Question: If others are part of me, then by changing others am I changing my external parts?

Answer: Of course. But at the same time, you no longer feel whom you are changing: them or yourself.  You begin to connect with others and it turns out to be one common whole. The Creator connects everyone.

Question: Now we are at the lesson and yet there are still billions of people in the world who do things such as work, sleep, fight, etc. We do not feel them so how do we treat this?

Answer: You need to gradually get used to this and then the question of time, the multi-layered space, and everything that happens will disappear. You will see that this is nothing  and that everything is resolved at a completely different level.

Question: If everything is just inside of me, is there any other force that can affect me?

Answer: From the outside, the Creator affects you with His even Light, and in this Light, as if on a white screen, you depict your world with your own qualities.

This world that you depict involuntarily, you can now correct with your will and depict it in a different way. Therefore, all sorts of problems are presented to you on this screen so that you would correct yourself and see the world as good.

Question: If the Creator is also inside of me, does this mean that there is somebody else who is outside of me?

Answer: No, you imagine it this way. We need to find a very simple relationship: as much as we change ourselves, we change our world.

Each of us feels this world in his own way. There are some points in it that we can compare to each other, but there are those that we cannot even express.

Therefore, our task is by connecting with each other to create a complete picture of the world that is composed of many billions of people. Then in our connection, we will see the world of infinity.

Question: Are spiritual and material events orchestrated in advance and occur as a pre-directed scenario of life?

Answer: Of course. That is how they come out. Are we the ones that make them happen? The world appears to us in its new forms, and we have to learn to understand them, attain them, associate ourselves with them, and as such progress.

At every moment you are presented with a certain picture of the world, you have to adapt to it, understand it, connect with it, and try to make it better. The way you understand the surrounding world is what determines your advancement.

In principle, each time you should see the world as a manifestation of the Creator. Can you imagine how flawed we must be to see the world around us as full of terrible things, depression, and awful tensions?

Question: Let’s say something is revealed to us. What should be my first reaction? Should I say “there’s none else besides Him”?

Answer: First of all, you have to understand that the Creator is the upper force that determines, acts, and fills everything. What this force is showing you is perfection, but you distort this picture to the degree of your corruptness by seeing it without the “glasses,” through the lens of your egoism.

Question: So, do I have to justify everything?

Answer: Not just justify, but to see and feel this perfection. You then have to adhere to Him in such a way that through this attainment, through the correction of corruptness to the level of perfection, you will unite with the Creator. On one side of the screen there is you, and on the other, Him.

Question: And if I see that I cannot attribute this force to “none else besides Him,” that I can’t justify it?

Answer: You have an opportunity to pray, to ask Him to correct you so that you will see the world as perfect.

But if you want this in order to feel good, you will not get anything. If, however, you want to see the world as perfect in order to not curse the Creator because it brings you pain, then you will receive. You are asking the Creator to give you the power to see Him the way He is: good that does good.

The Book of Zohar, “Tazrya”: All worlds, the Upper and the lower, are inside man. All that is created in the world is for man’s sake and everything lives and develops because of man.

It seems to the person that he exists among other people, animals, plants, and inanimate nature, including the entire universe. In fact, all these levels of desire are just one desire. It is called “human.”

Everything is within each of us: the egoistic and altruistic worlds, the Creator, and the whole of creation.

The human is the desire created by the Creator, which includes everything.

Our task is to become like the Creator, changing the application of our egoistic properties from receiving to giving.

Question: What is wrong with wanting to “bend” the whole world to suit myself if the world is full of malice and vices?

Answer: I understand that you would like to change our world. But if you do this by breaking it, you will only get some of your smaller broken worlds.

You have to change yourself and then, instead of today’s world, which appears to you in your egoistic properties, you will discover another, better, altruistic world. To change the world is to change your properties, and then you will see it differently.

You need to understand that we exist in our desire. Changing your desires from the lowest state to the state of complete bestowal and love, that is, the world of Infinity, we can move back and forth along the ladder of the spiritual worlds. It all depends on our properties.
