The will to receive is the first form of every essence. We define the first form as “substance” because we have no attainment in the essence”(Baal HaSulam, The Study of the Ten Sefirot, “Inner Observation,” Chapter 10, Item 35).

This is about spiritual matter, and not about the inanimate, vegetative, and animate matter of our world.

Question: It is known from physics that the universe is 95% dark matter. It turns out that what we see and study today is practically nothing relative to what exists. Maybe this dark matter is the emanator, the Creator?

Answer: No, the Creator is above all this matter, He is like its essence. Matter itself is not attributed to the emanator. The emanator is what emanates matter.

The essence of matter is the will to receive. This is how the Creator created it.

Comment: Currently, there is no direct evidence of the existence of dark matter, only indirect ones.

My Response: Most of our knowledge about the universe and nature, in general, is based on indirect sensations, proofs, examples, and studies because we are not at the level of what we are investigating.
