Question: What is a city wall that protects a city?

Answer: These are intentions of people that they surround themselves with in order to unite within these intentions and hold on to the upper force.

Comment: But we are talking about cities in which seven nations lived.

My Response: It doesn’t matter. All the same, they and even the sinful cities also held on to the upper force. All these properties felt the need for the upper force.

Question: If we say that such desires as “sinful cities” exist in us, then are they the ones surrounded by the city wall?

Answer: Yes. But you want to control them. You do not fully relate to the Creator and do not completely place yourself in His hands. Therefore, these cities are sinful.

Question: Why were the people born in the wilderness not circumcised?

Answer: The desert is a state where the property of Bina is lacking. In this state, it is impossible to soften egoism and correct it to the level of readiness to bestow. Therefore, circumcision is not feasible in the wilderness.

It says: “cut off the edge of your heart”—that is, that part of desire that cannot be corrected.

Circumcision is the extreme part of Malchut (the foreskin), which is cut off as a sign of agreement with the Creator that the fourth part of Malchut, i.e., my egoistic desire, is incorrigible. It is corrected only by cutting it off and throwing it on the sand, on the ground.

Question: What does “fall to the ground” mean?

Answer: Falling to the ground is a feeling of the power of the ego over us that we cannot cope with. The earth symbolizes the original, fundamental egoistic desire.

The same thing means “to lay ashes on your head,” i.e., to raise the highest level of egoistic desire (Behina Dalet) above yourself. How to mend oneself in something to the nature created by the Creator, not correcting it, but only submitting to it.

Question: What is MAN?

Answer: From the point of view of Kabbalah, MAN is raising the desires of a person to the Creator and a request to correct them. However, according to the description in the Torah, it seems to be the answer of the Creator from above to people. Basically, it is the same thing.

When a person raises his desires to the Creator, then in fact this is the Creator sending him such help. It turns out that a person’s food, MAN (manna), the quality of Bina, as it were, comes from the Creator. Although everyone is filled with the same MAN, everyone has their own sensation.

Question: What does “man shoes” mean from the point of view of Kabbalah?

Answer: Shoes are like a protective shield, which should be at the last degree of human desire. Usually if a person is standing on holy ground or in a special place, then shoes are removed.
