Commitment of the Kabbalist

202.0Question: At one time, while giving lectures, you mentioned the New Age movement but stopped doing it. Why?

Answer: I do not remember why I touched upon that movement. I have always taught pure Kabbalah based on the sources of Baal HaSulam. All the years of my life after the age of 30, I have been doing only this and do not hide that I do not know all the other sources well.

I do not engage in comparative analysis between Kabbalah and, say, Sufism, religions, or philosophies. Not at all! I am a specialist specifically in the field of Kabbalistic methodology.

And every time, I am convinced of how pure, strict, and sharply directed toward the goal of creation it is and how much it is the goal of our evolution. That is why I have no desire to be engaged in anything else! I am not interested in any New Age! There is no need to talk about that at all.

I am not interested in anything other than a deep internal understanding of the upper world through the methodology of Kabbalah because I see how it works.

It takes a person many years to study it, but it fully, tangibly introduces him to a new world that reveals itself to him in his attainment, sensation, in all his states, past, and future. He understands, feels, and comprehends everything within himself!

When you see this, you recognize it when it forms in you and no longer have any questions about other methods that people have invented. You remain only with this.

A Soul Divided in Half

423.01Question: Why do we feel that there are some good and evil people and deeds outside of us?

Answer: This is our internal and external perception of reality since everything inside is depicted to us as kind, our own, and everything outside is harmful, evil, alien.

Question: As a rule, a person, no matter what he does can always justify himself. And how can we justify those “scoundrels” that we see outside?

Answer: You should reveal that it is you. Through understanding, reflection, and then through correcting yourself with the help of the surrounding society, to the point that you begin to perceive the world that way.

Question: You often talk about the world as a part of yourself, but at the same time sometimes you say: “They, they, they…”. What do you mean by “they”?

Answer: They are my thoughts, qualities, and feelings that I perceive as existing outside of me. That is, these are my thoughts, but I do not agree with them.

Question: Do you treat them as external factors?

Answer: Of course! How else?

Question: In this case, what is your task? To change these qualities?

Answer: By working on yourself make these qualities feel positive, and then to this extent they will become mine, in my explicit feeling. And to the extent that they do not clearly feel like mine, they will seem external to me.

Being in the spiritual world means that I feel both bad and good qualities, and in general, the whole world exists in me and at the same time outside of me. This duality helps me to correct myself faster and feel the whole world as my personal inner whole, like the ten Sefirot of my soul. And there is nothing but this soul, and all that I perceive is all its parts.

Question: How often do you see progress in your change of perception?

Answer: This progress is start-stop, impulsive, which can be compared to a tiger before a jump: first it sways, and then jumps, then sways and jumps again. And every time you jump, attainment is achieved, the inclusion of some additional, supposedly former external, area.

We study in Kabbalah that the soul was divided into internal and external parts: Galgalta veEynaim–AHAP. Or to the root-soul-body (Shoresh-Neshama-Guf), which a person feels in himself, and to the garments and structures, that is, buildings and the world (Levush-Heichal), which he feels outside himself.

Live in a Double Reality

910Question: How do you raise the importance of dissemination?

Answer: According to the importance, what is determining, the cause or the effect.

Since any of our actions can only be performed under the influence of the light, we must first take care about the source of the light, how to awaken it and how to direct it correctly. To do this, we need to place the object which needs to be influenced by the light before the light.

Through what should it be directed toward the light? Through the world, through the group, then it will be aimed at the action of bestowal and the light will come to it from the opposite side.

The thing is that everything here works not as it seems to us in our world (it only seems), that we are the cause and then comes the effect. On the contrary, when you become the right cause, the effect comes to you from above, the light, and you see that in fact, it by itself was the cause.

It is the same as if we correctly perceive events, we begin to switch the cause and effect between them.

Let’s say, a bullet is flying toward a window. Before the bullet has even reached it, the glass is already breaking. Since the glass must break, such an action occurs in our world that causes it to break.

Question: How do you constantly perform this analysis? After all, it is constantly changing.

Answer: I live in it. I constantly have a double reality because I work in it and see how it depends on my properties (there is nothing objective here) until I transfer everything from my actions, from my properties, to the side of the Creator who works with me at the beginning and at the end.

That is, the beginning of the action is in Him. The process of the action depends on how it will proceed in me, on how much I am connected with the Creator. The end of the action is also in Him. So, the beginning and the end are clearly defined. I can only feel the intermediate state either closer to the Creator or closer to creation.

Is there a Standard of Goodness?

565.02Question: What is good and evil? Everyone talks about goodness, friendship, and unity. And you say the same things, but how can you tell the difference?

Answer: I speak about these categories only as means that help one discover one’s faulty state, come to a corrected state, and achieve complete unity with nature.

I am not against what others say, and in no way am I trying to check them, compare them, or engage in some kind of comparative analysis. For what?

If they talk about good, great. But for what is this good? How correct is this, how real is it? There are so many opportunities in the world to do something good. Is this really good or not?

Who checks, who feels, who measures? Are they the same egoists as you? They can tell you what is good based on their egoistic qualities. And so can you. So you will understand each other perfectly. But in fact?

Therefore, there must be the emergence of some standard of good that is independent of us. If it does not exist, then thousands of beliefs, religions, philosophies, and opinions arise, and each one is right. Then you cannot do anything until some dimension is achieved.

All techniques and technologies start with some measure: meter, kilogram, and so on. Without this, people would not understand each other and could not do anything.

But in our feelings, there are no such measurements, so everyone is right.

You can talk to anyone, from Nazis to pacifists, from anarchists to communists, and they can convince you of anything. In our development, we have already gone through all possible options, except the very last ones. After all, there was once cannibalism, but it can still repeat itself in our “bright” future. And we always felt that yes, this is true or this has a place.

Take Your Place

249.01Question: Among your students, there are certain layers: the so-called “light cavalry” and the “core.” Each occupies their own place, and no one should replace anyone else. But how can a person determine their place?

Answer: They determine it themselves. In the process of studying, everyone finds their place.

It is like, for example, balls floating in a thick layer of liquid, where each ball occupies a certain place according to its specific gravity, density, and the density of the liquid. One floats on the surface, another closer to the bottom, and so on. Similarly, the students are distributed according to the properties, qualities of their desire, and intention.

And none of them interfere with each other. They are all in a relatively suspended state: above is the Creator, below is our world, and they are in between these two boundaries. Therefore, it depends on each individual at what level they will hang in this thickness. Just as when a hot air balloon is heated, it rises, and when it cools down, it descends.

Comment: But every person by nature wants to be the best.

My Response: Yes, that’s true. But the thing is, they must work against their egoism, and that’s not so simple. Not everyone can be the best. To achieve that, one must apply a lot of effort directed against oneself.

Question: Still, everyone wants to become a great Kabbalist. But does it depend not on the person, but on their properties?

Answer: Yes and no. Even throughout history, there have been Kabbalists who initially had very few abilities for this.

We’re not talking about such great Kabbalists as the Ari. They are special souls placed from above as cornerstones on the common path of humanity.

But if we’re talking simply about a person, here there are absolutely no limitations for anyone.

Vector Picture of the World

738Comment: According to Kabbalah, everything consists of 613 desires. Every element that I see consists of different combinatorics of 613 desires.

My Response: Not just any object, but a person! Every human consists of a combination of 613 desires. We don’t talk about anyone besides him because all the inanimate, vegetative, and animal elements that seem to exist outside of us are also our desires.

Question: How, for example, can a stone be viewed in relation to our desires?

Answer: Very simply, my desire of the inanimate level draws such an object to me, and evokes in me the feeling of this object.

Question: That is, a stone is, in principle, one desire?

Answer: No, it is the sum of my 613 desires, which are currently at the inanimate level of development and appear to me in this form. The combination of various partial vectors adds up to a vector of such a level designated as a stone in me.

For example, behind the image on your computer screen, there are also vectors.

Now you see me on the monitor and then in your head. In the same way, the picture of the world is drawn by vectors in our heads. What about the monitor? The monitor (screen) is inside us, but we don’t feel it; it seems as if everything happens outside.

And why was this done, this “outside” orientation? Mainly so that we can work with our egoism until this supposedly external vision becomes our internal one.

Mistakes Develop

243.03Question: Should a person necessarily learn through mistakes?

Answer: There is no other way since comprehension is possible only when you understand two opposites in combination.

You must simultaneously perform analysis, separation, synthesis, and combination. It is only when you do all that you get an understanding of what is going on.

Otherwise, there are no feelings. The fact is that I want to feel something I do not have. It is not in me, and I have a negative attitude toward it. When I receive it, then I feel it in me.

But, it is in me. There is me with my desire and something that fills this desire. Then, two opposite objects know what one without the other and one with the other mean. It is what comprehension consists of.

It is the same in our world, everywhere, in everything. That is why we always give children a variety of exercises and present them with all sorts of difficulties so that they collect, build, and develop.

Get The Full Package!

282.01Comment: We often come across the fact that we understand you, we want to pass it on to others, but we cannot.

My Response: The process of transmitting spiritual information can be explained in the language of Kabbalah.

The highest attainment takes place inside the vessel (Kli), which is called Ohr Hozer (reflected light). I get a certain upper feeling in the form of Ohr Hozer, and then I pass it on to you.

Basically, I should only give you the coordinates so that you, by yourself, can receive the same higher attainment. I could just tell you what I am thinking right now, meaning give you a direction where to go.
Instead, I myself am passing on to you what I felt and received along with my package of Ohr Hozer. That is, what let’s say cost me 15 years of work, I am passing on to you so that you can somehow perceive it.

This is a microdose of the feeling that I was experiencing at the time when I was explaining it to you, but you still got something and understood precisely because I gave you a complete set, a complete package. And you cannot pass it on because you get direct light in the reflected light and in the desire—all three are packed together. I am passing it to you with the desire, with the light, and with packaging.

All that is needed on your part is some kind of common desire, as it happens during the lectures. This is how I give people some information. In general, not even information, but a feeling, because a person cannot understand the information. He catches certain logic between this and that, some fragments. But in general, we understand that a person perceives with his feelings, and then if he wants to continue, then with logic.

Only when this information ignites him, only then will he turn on the logic, come to us for a series of integral education talks, and start working on his first feeling.

The Strong Desire not War but Peace

294.2 Inna writes:

I cannot stand being disliked; I have been this way since childhood. I always do my best to be loved: I give gifts; I do everything I’m told. And here I see how my people are disliked. I have been living here for 30 years and I feel ready to give up everything just to be loved. But on the other hand, I understand perfectly well that you can’t buy love that way. So what should I do?

Answer: Look for ways to get closer to other people.

Question: They don’t want us to be here. What kind of heart do you want to open to them? They say, “Maybe we will love you, just so you are not here.”

Answer: No, we are not talking about that. We received this from the Creator, and we cannot give in.

Question: Then what actions can we make to be loved? If you and I both have that desire, what should we do?

Answer: Show them our love, and if they do not agree, we are ready for war.

Question: What does it mean to show them love without giving in?

Answer: That we love them in our hearts. But if they do not agree to reciprocate, then we will be forced to fight.

Comment: Hamas is still nearby, here next to us. There is Hezbollah.

My Response: We can show that we want peace, we want friendship. If you are strong, you can say that.

Question: Is this the law of the East?

Answer: Yes.

Question: So, we must be strong for this?

Answer: Yes! This comes first!

Question: Do we have to show them this strength, that we are strong?

Answer: Yes, we must.

Question: Once Jabotinsky wrote an article: “The Iron Wall.” He said then that they will not back down from getting us out of here unless we create an “iron wall.” They must understand that this is impossible.

Does this enter into a state of love for us? Is this the construction of an “iron wall” that makes it impossible to throw us out of here?

Answer: Yes, that is the priority. We need to understand that, on one hand, we must come to peace with them, to mutual understanding. And on the other hand, we must always think about our security and not giving them the opportunity to capture us, conquer us, and so on.

That is the psychology of our neighbors, and there is nothing difficult to figure out here. Whoever they are, if they are our neighbors, especially our neighbors, then they are always against us.

Question: And we must show our strength?

Answer: Yes.

Question: And at the same time show that we are ready for peace, for communication, and so on?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Are these two states even possible, that you show strength and the second, that you are ready for peace?

Answer: Of course.

Question: So what is our miscalculation? We even sent them money, supplied them with gas, and more.

Answer: None of that does anything.

Question: What will?

Answer: Only strength.

Question: And what about what you always say that we must internally love our neighbor as ourselves, and so on? Where do you attribute this: to strength or to some other part?

Answer: To strength.

Question: Is that strength?

Answer: Yes.

Feelings that Cannot Be Conveyed

255Comment: There is always a layer of internal feelings behind your words. I understand what you are saying when you are explaining it, but I cannot convey it to others. There is always something lacking.

My Response: You will not succeed because my spiritual perception is on the opposition of two systems: egoistic and altruistic. And I somehow project this onto you. But you so far have only one system, i.e., you perceive what I say, but cannot convey it to another person.

Question: And if I were to manage to convey information to a person, would he be able to perceive it?

Answer: Every person can perceive it to some extent because you convey it to them in your instruments.

Question: When you speak in public, you have an internal exchange of information. People understand you, but when they leave a lecture and are asked, “How was it?”, they can’t really answer.

Answer: Nevertheless, they were able to feel something within themselves. They saw truth, logic, feelings, and verbal transmission of information and accepted my message. But they cannot convey and accurately define it. That usually happens the first time we perceive something new. But then you have to work hard to begin to recognize all this.
