Question: On one hand, it is said that sometimes a person is rewarded with finding mercy through prayer, through Sgula (a miraculous remedy), because it can replace the effort.

On the other hand, it is said that although a person is worthy of finding mercy through prayer, nevertheless, then he must pay a measure of effort. What does it mean?

Answer: It means that the person receives an advance. He has not yet earned spirituality, but he has already received some portion, and therefore, he must continue to make efforts to earn the advance.

We also see in corporeality that there are some who provide by labor, and some who provide for themselves through prayer. And by asking for provision, one is allowed to provide for himself (Baal HaSulam. Shamati 161. Concerning the Giving of the Torah – 2)

Question: Is it possible in the corporeal world to pray for provision, but physically do nothing?

Answer: If you can ask correctly, then do it and you will see. Perhaps that will be enough for you.

In a request, in prayer, in an appeal to the Creator, there is such an opportunity when you do not need anything else but to ask. The problem is how to reach such a prayer so that the Creator gives you what is necessary for the correction of the soul, and with one prayer you would reach everything in the world.

Question: What kind of prayer is this that we can achieve everything with?

Answer: A prayer coming from the pure heart of a person.

Question: What is happening now in Israel and in the world is all from the Creator. The feeling is that only the ten, the importance of the goal, and Kabbalah can help us save ourselves.

Answer: We can only act in the direction of unity among all the members of Bnei Baruch throughout the world so that we all unite as much as possible and ask the Creator to reveal Himself within our connection.

Question: In Rabash’s article “What Does It Mean that the Creation of the World Was by Largess,” it is said that when a person connects the name of heaven, i.e., the Creator, with something else, he is eradicated from the world.

How can one turn to the Creator so as not to connect any egoistic desires and intentions with Him, but only to ask for bestowal?

Answer: Only if you ask for the benefit of people and not for yourself, then you will have the right request aimed at ensuring that He fills creation. But the Creator Himself does not need anything.

Question: But when you stand before the king who can give you everything and answer all your questions, how can you not take advantage of this for yourself and ask only for your friends? How does a Kabbalist choose bestowal?

Answer: He gradually gets closer to it by making a restriction, and building a screen and reflected light.

Question: What is the energy that drives us to achieve this?

The thought of creation, called “to do good to His creations,” begins from Ein Sof [no end]. For this reason, we pray to Ein Sof, meaning to the connection that exists between the Creator and the creatures.

The beginning of the connection starts in Ein Sof, where His name is, which is the root of creation (Baal HaSulam, Shamati 54 “The Purpose of the Work – 1“).

Question: Ein Sof is something that we cannot attain, i.e., equivalence of form. What is this quality of His name and what does it mean to pray to His name?

Answer: His name is the result of attainment from below. When the light of the Creator enters our Kli, then we begin to feel His name.

When we are directed to the fact that the Creator is upper, He is the first, He is the Creator, He is good and does good, and there is none else besides Him, it turns out that we are directed only to the upper root.

Question: How do we pray to Ein Sof correctly? How does one direct oneself to it?

Answer: We are able to feel this only through love for our neighbor, otherwise it is impossible.

Answer: If you are in the ten, try to be connected with it into one common whole, and you have the task ahead of you to reach the Creator, then you begin to see how impossible this task is for you and your ten. That is when you start crying to the Creator.

Answer: You, first of all.

Question: What does the author call a blessing at the beginning and at the end, and how does this relate to the structure of the prayer?

Answer: We bless the Creator for gradually revealing all our mistakes and shortcomings and then thank Him for correcting these mistakes. That is how we go through all our desires and all the corrections.

We thank the Creator for the shortcomings He initially created in us and for the steps we take to correct these shortcomings. And so we move forward.

When we bless the Creator, we raise Him above ourselves more and more and thus can call upon ourselves even greater light.

Question: Once you said that we are created out of heavy and lazy material, I feel it more and more. Is it right to ask my friends to pressure me, or is it better to ask the Creator to correct it?

Answer: Each of you is becoming increasingly egoistic every day and therefore needs pressure and help so that your friends can pull you with them. That is deliberately done by the Creator so that you feel the need to connect with each other and thus move forward.

If you constantly talk about it, then it will be much easier for you to raise MAN for each other from the heart.

You should get a gradual feeling of approaching the Creator. Through this, you will see what will happen next.

Question: Why does this day of atonement prayer state that it is necessary to fear the Creator?

Answer: The fact is that it is very difficult for us to understand the imbalance between an absolutely good Creator and an absolutely evil person that was created by the same good Creator. Why? It is precisely to make a person realize the reason he was created like that and to start feeling a desire to be like the Creator.

Question: What is the reason?

Answer: It is just so that we start wanting to be like the Creator.

Question: Does it mean that I am very far from Him and want to be like Him?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Is it deliberate that I am far from Him?

Answer: Initially.

Question: What does it mean that they will have fear of the Creator?

Answer: This is already an appeal to the Creator. It is when people will feel that all this comes from Him, so that they are afraid and ask Him for correction.

Question: What does it mean when it is said, and they will prostrate themselves before You?

Answer: They will wish to subjugate to the good inclination of the Creator.

Question: What does, and they all will form a single band to carry out Your will with a perfect heart,  mean?

Answer: This is when everyone will help others so that everyone together will be in goodness and in love for the Creator and for everyone.
