Historical Paradox

Question: In 1871, Germany was unified and Jews were granted rights. Their entry into German society and the establishment of the Second Reich was a new stage in the assimilation of Jews.

One of the most powerful figures of Jewish origin was industrialist Walter Rathenau who became the German Foreign Minister and he organized the war economy that empowered the military of the Third Reich. He proclaimed: “[M]y religion [is] that Germanic faith which is above all religions.”

The more Jews tried to be German, the more it turned against them. After losing World War I in 1918, the Germans came to the conclusion that it was not external forces that had defeated Germany, but the internal treachery of the Communists and Jews.

Why is it that the more Jews try to prove their patriotism, the more they are hated?

Answer: This is natural. This paradox exists at all times because the Jewish nation consists of two roots. Their animal root wants to be in solidarity with and dissolve in all the peoples of the world, and the spiritual root demands to be realized, although they suppress it.

It turns out that Jews exist on two completely different planes. In an effort to physically assimilate with the people in whose midst they live, in this case the German people, they adopted its culture, made a huge contribution to its development, and were unwilling to see how much they were disliked, hated, repelled, and despised.

There were a great number of Jews in the army, science, philosophy, finance, and politics who participated in the revival of Germany.

Moreover, note that Germany, strangely enough, unlike the rest of Western Europe, was divided into separate municipalities and counties that were unfriendly toward each other. Perhaps the question of how much the Jews contributed to the unification of Germanic lands in the 19th century has not yet been fully investigated. As a result, by the end of the 19th century, Germany declared itself unified.

The 9th of Av symbolizes the destruction of the Temple, which occurred because of the unfounded hatred in the people of Israel. And we see that throughout history there have been and are some groups within the Jewish people who are at war with one another. This is the very same hatred.

The Jews are the people that Abraham gathered in Ancient Babylon when there was hatred between people. He taught that there is only one remedy against hatred: to rise to love above all hatred that had grown to the heavens like the tower of Babel.

Some of the inhabitants of Babylon followed Abraham and he took them from Babylon to Canaan, to the land of Israel. The rest remained in Babylon.

Abraham taught his disciples to live by the law of loving one’s neighbor as oneself. This main rule “love will cover all crimes” separated them from all other peoples of the world who remained in Babylon and then scattered throughout the Earth.

And those who followed Abraham were representatives of all nations, but they were able to unite together and become the people of Israel, which means “straight to the Creator” (Yashar-Kel), that is, straight to unity, to love one’s neighbor. They strived to get closer and become brothers, and to some extent they succeeded.

They had to go through the Egyptian exile, through many trials on their way, but it only strengthened them. They became closer and really became one people; they called themselves Israel (“straight to the Creator”) as a sign that they were striving for one power—the power of love.

But egoism does not calm down, it awakens again and confuses a person, so over time, various groups began to form in the people of Israel that opposed the method of Abraham. They wanted to live under capitalism so that everyone would do what they wanted instead of living as one community. Real wars and struggles began between them.

Throughout history, the people of Israel have been at war within themselves, and the reason is always the same: “for” or “against” unification. This was the case when the First Temple and the Second Temple were destroyed. All the downfalls were only because some groups called for uniting and covering all crimes with love, while others were against and did not agree.

This continues to this day. That is why the people of Israel have been subjected to exile, much suffering, and dislike by all the peoples of the world. After all, other peoples also came out of Ancient Babylon, only they forgot about it.

Today both Jews and the nations of the world are scattered throughout the Earth, and no one knows what love for one’s neighbor is. Since then, egoism has grown terribly in Jews and in the nations of the world. It is necessary to awaken the root cause in all to find out what is happening to the world, why the nations of the world still have grievances against the people of Israel, and what the mission of the people of Israel is. This needs to be explained to everyone.

Historians attribute the destruction of the First Temple to the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar and the Second Temple to the Roman Emperor Titus. However, Jews believe that the destruction was caused by conflicts within the people of Israel itself. And indeed, the reason for everything was unfounded hatred and disunity. By our resistance to unification, we caused the destruction of the First and Second Temples.

All our misfortunes are caused by the fact that we do not get along with one another and cannot achieve unity in the people of Israel.

Outwardly, it seems that the imperial troops and enemies are to blame for the destruction, but in fact, we ourselves, by the presence or absence of connection between us, set these empires for or against our existence and see the natural result. A foreign external force only executes the sentence, but we ourselves activate these forces within our own people. So we have no one to blame for our bitter fate but ourselves.

And today the same thing is happening: Persia (today’s Iran) and other Arab countries are against us, and all because there is no proper connection within us, and this creates a world of division and hatred among all.

Other nations may also have internal enmity, but there is no such hatred as there is in the people of Israel, because we hate the Jews within ourselves. The inner Jew is the desire that requires us to unite above our egoism and show the world that it is possible to live in peace, tranquility, and unity, and this will be the correction of the whole world.

This is what the Jew inside us says, but we do not want to listen to him. Only Kabbalists who study the science of Kabbalah, in which it is clearly spelled out in black and white for thousands of years, know that the Torah is based on its great rule: love for one’s neighbor as oneself. But no one wants to listen to them.

After all, unification sounds very beautiful in words, but as soon as people try to implement it, they become convinced that it is simply impossible and that it requires all of a person’s attention and one’s whole life. And people are not ready for this. This requires either a special integral education or very great suffering, which will make people give up their egoism and get closer to one another.

The Main Value of the Jewish People

Question: Who is the Creator that can unite everyone?

Answer: The Creator is the global quality of bestowal and love, the mutual connection of people with each other. Only!

In this regard, the Jews should set an example to all other nations of the world. But in general, this idea and this goal are the same for all of humanity.

Question: So everyone can keep their own traditions?

Answer: Traditions and all earthly things do not matter. All this will be covered with the aspiration to one single quality of love and reciprocity, and everyone will feel united in one family.

We must do this, and the sooner the better. Recently, we have seen how the egoistic, earthly nature pushes us out of ourselves! It will press on us through the nations of the world, through all sorts of natural disasters. And it is going to be bad for us if we don’t listen to what the wisdom of Kabbalah says.

Comment: It turns out that today we do not have one God, meaning the quality of bestowal and love. This is the highest value.

My Response: In potential, the Jews have it. Therefore, this God cannot be depicted, there is nothing to tell about Him: incorporeal, colorless, without outlines. He seems to dissolve because this is a quality that a person must create in himself and thus adhere to Him. There is no God outside of man.

Comment: If connection is the main value, then we cannot unite in any way because each direction, each spiritual current, has its own values: how to dress, how to perform an action, etc.

My Response: Purely external attributes cannot unite people and make a special model of them.

Comment: But again, everyone interprets the quality of bestowal and love in their own way.

My Response: Yes, it dissolves, disappears somewhere. But we must still take it into account and use it.

People with Two Opposite Roots

Question: What can unite completely different people if each one stays with their own ideological direction?

Answer: They can only be united by striving for one common Creator, who through Abraham, summoned them in ancient Babylon to unite above all differences, as it is said: “Love will cover all crimes,” in order to become one unified spiritual nation.

Jews are not an ordinary nation. If we start studying their DNA and other physiological differences, we will see that they differ from each other. In what aspect are they the same? Only in the fact that they come from one single root, not physiological, not genetic, but spiritual.

This is a specific nation in which there are two opposite roots: animate and spiritual. Their animate roots are very diverse as they come from seventy nations of ancient Babylon. And their spiritual root is one, because in the time of Abraham, representatives of different nations united and became a single spiritual nation with a single spiritual root: with the Creator in themselves. They should return to that state.

Comment: It’s hard to imagine how everyone can have the same Creator. Everyone has their own Creator. He says to someone: “You must come to Israel.” And to another: “You should sit in America and wait for the Messiah there.”

My Response: If we do what the science of Kabbalah says and not what philosophies and all sorts of spiritual streams invent, which only tear the Jewish mass to pieces, then we will know what the truth is. Love will cover all crimes.

An Idea that Covers all Contradictions

Question: What is the highest idea that can leave the communist, the ultra-orthodox, and the reformist in their opinion, and at the same time, unite them?

Answer: We must understand that we have completely different roots because we are originally from the 70 nations of Ancient Babylon, which became the basis of the modern nations.

If we understand that we are all different and the roots of the nations of the world can’t be removed from us, as they are the natural force of life and lie somewhere inside each of us, then all we have left is what the wisdom of Kabbalah says: to rise above these roots in a mutual aspiration toward a new base, where we will remain in connection, love, and mutual respect for each other that we have created.

Therefore, the connection that we are restoring between us must prevail over our disconnection.

That is, on the one hand, we will always be in contradiction and in a natural distance from each other, coming from our animal roots, like those who came from the 70 nations of Ancient Babylon.

On the other hand, we must unite our efforts over these contradictions in order to build a new base. And then the two levels will coexist: one—natural, animal, and the second—artificially created by us, spiritual. One will cover the other, as stated: “Love will cover all transgressions.”

The Biggest Anti-Semites

Question: During the Age of Enlightenment, those Jewish people who assimilated among other peoples became atheists or Christians and began to hate Jews who kept up the traditions even more. This hatred still exists in the State of Israel and it is growing.

How is the assimilation and internal hatred of Jews connected with unreasonable hatred?

Answer: A person who wants to break himself away from his root, but realizes that he cannot do it, because, obviously, there are inner forces of nature that will not allow him to, begins to hate himself, the people, the spiritual principle, the Creator.

But despite the fact that he would like to completely break himself away from this and to become an ordinary German, Frenchman, etc., he cannot succeed.

It arises such hate in him for the people, for himself, for his root, from which he heal. This is why he becomes the biggest anti-Semite.

Remark:  Unreasonable hatred is a state when a person hates working without payment. We cannot do an action without receiving payment for it, fuel, benefit for ourselves—this is our nature. We hate the quality itself for no reason. This quality is bestowal, love, unity. That is, we unconsciously hate those people in whom this quality appears.

My Comment: This is why Jewish people who are engaged in various kinds of sciences, art, and social movements propagandize anti-Semitism there.

Question: What is to be done with these contradictions? The war between the Jews continues. There are reformists, ultra-Orthodox, atheists, communists, etc.

Answer: Everyone is ready to destroy the other one. More than all the anti-Semites put together, according to Kabbalah, this is normal because Jews have the biggest egoism.

Remark: But on the other hand, you say that there must be some kind of higher idea above all this, which will unite them.

My Comment: To do this, they should turn to Kabbalah, or Kabbalah should turn to them.

Assimilation Is Impossible

Question: In the territory of Germany, the Jews first appeared with the Romans in the 5th century AD, but the epicenter of Jewish settlements dates back to the 10th century.

As in Spain, they contributed to the development of the economy and trade. Despite the instability of the situation of the Jews, Germany became one of the most important centers of the Jewish community. Here a special type developed, the Ashkenazi community. By the 17th century, the center of the Ashkenazi community moved to Poland, Lithuania, and Prague.

This is how the German historian of Jewish origin Heinrich Graetz described the state of German Jewry, “If the laboriously constructed organism of a nation has lost vitality, the bonds connecting the individual parts are weakened, and internal dissolution has set in, even the despotic will which keeps the members in a mechanical union being wanting; in short, if death comes upon a commonalty in its corporate state, and it has been entombed, can it be resuscitated and undergo a revival?”

In addition, the mass process of conversion of Jews to Christianity, assimilation, and emancipation began. What do you see as the problem of assimilation?

Answer: The fact is that it is impossible. As soon as assimilation begins, anti-Semitism immediately rises with such a force that assimilation is suspended, and despite the fact that Jews would very much like to dissolve into the people among whom they currently live, it is impossible.

Comment: However, on the other hand, you said that the dispersion of Jews among other nations and their mutual mingling has a purpose.

My Response: The goal is not to physically mingle, but rather to bring their own ideology, culture, and monotheism to the nations of the world. We are talking about a historical movement that existed for several thousand years.

It is written in the Torah that Jews should bring light to all nations. To do this, they need to become its source. In other words, they should not be dissolved, but should be a source of light, knowledge, monotheism, and a correct attitude to the development of civilization in every nation.

There is fear that intense protests in Israel will end in violence and turn into civil war. But in fact, this war has been going on since we started returning to the land of Israel. After all, we are not corrected; therefore all our actions are very egoistic. Our egoism is evident in them so brightly that they turn out worse than those of all the nations of the world.

In the uncorrected state, we are the quintessence of all evil in the world, and in the corrected state, we will become the opposite, the quintessence of all good. And so it is written, that rising, Israel rises above the rest, and falling, falls below all. After all, we are an extract of the greatest desire to enjoy of all the nations of the world. This is why Israel stands out from all other nations.

Until people know what they really need to do, it will be impossible to calm them down. It is necessary to give them a method of correction so that they understand what needs to be corrected and what our mission assigned to us from above is.

If you do not give it to people, they will start killing each other. The inner flame will flare up so much that they will go out every day to beat or even kill each other, which was the case in the time of the Temple.

The main wars were not with the Greeks and Romans, but between the Jews themselves. And there is nothing new in today’s riots; it is again revealed what was two and three thousand years ago—the war of egoism that does not want to give way to anyone , until it reveals its insignificance and asks for correction.

Extinguishing the irritation and anger can only be done by revealing the true cause. Otherwise, it is impossible to ease the tension, hatred, and conflict of forces. They can be dimmed for a week or two, but in fact, nothing will change if all the cards are not revealed. And it is good that such a flame is burning inside people; it just needs to be directed and shaped correctly.

The riots and unrest that we see today on the streets of Israel are caused by the absence of a middle line, a lack of methodology, a program, an ideology that would connect different poles: the desire to receive of the creation, which is in contradiction with the desire to give of the Creator.

The two opposites must come to work together, to balance, to connect, to embrace, and to love. But there is no understanding among the people today that we need these two forces and only need to combine them correctly. And the right connection is possible if we have a goal in front of us, a guiding polar star to which we must precisely come together.

Let us move toward this goal together. These two opposing forces must find what they have in common. This means that both should rise above their egoism and find what unites them, only in this form. And this should be the case not only in Israel, but in the whole world. There is already unrest in America and then it will spread to all continents.

The polar star is the connection of all the forces of nature together in order to manifest one force that unfolds in the connection between us if we can unite over all differences. This force unfolding in us, gives us a sense of true reality instead of this material world. And then we begin to live in the upper world, called so according to our feelings, in a world that is eternal.

The blows received from the coronavirus will eventually cause all of humanity to bow, calm, and quiet down, realizing that there is an upper force at work here that will not allow us to do what we want, neither right or left. We will have to surrender to the influence of a third force from the higher degree.

The division took place in two stages, the First Temple and the Second Temple, until it reached its full measure. And now it is already possible to come to the construction of the Third Temple, that is, the state that we build on the basis of the past destruction and thereby achieve the correction of all reality, the whole world. This is the challenge we face today.

The 9th of Av symbolizes a special date on the calendar that reflects the spiritual root of the passed breakdowns: the collapse of the First Temple and the Second Temple. This division spread from top to bottom, and today we are at the very foot of this staircase, so the First Temple was higher than the Second.

The First Temple was at the level of the light of Chaya, very high, and the Second Temple was much lower, at the level of the light of Neshama. We had to go through this fall, the collapse of the First Temple and then the collapse of the Second Temple, to a complete loss of the spiritual. And this is so that today we can rise, correct these broken spiritual genes (Reshimot), and build the Third Temple.

Of course, we do not build it ourselves, but only clarify this state and raise the broken Reshimot, and then the light comes, which builds a spiritual vessel called the Third Temple.

Since the 9th of Av symbolizes the destruction of the Temple, this day is considered a day of mourning. But this does not mean that you have to sit and cry. First of all, we need to think in order to understand what is happening and why we have to grieve. This day comes in order for us to learn from it how to restore our house of holiness, our soul, in a corrected state, filled with the revelation of the Creator.

Ani-Semitism—a Natural Phenomenon

Question: You say that anti-Semitism is a law of nature. Can you not explain anti-Semitism as a coincidence?

To compare even a complex, unusual, yet still, a social phenomenon with the law of gravity is very extravagant. After all, what is a law of nature? It is a phenomenon that exists always and everywhere regardless of our attitude to it.

Answer: There are laws of nature that exist under certain conditions. Why take such a law that cannot incorporate everything? It is just silly. Besides, gravity also depends on where you are on the Earth and on how far from Earth the object is.

We know that there is mutual rejection, alienation, and hatred by non-Jews toward Jews. It exists almost everywhere. The more developed people are, the stronger the hatred.

It manifests itself even in those nations that have never been in contact with Jews. And since this feature exists everywhere and at all times, then we say that this natural phenomenon has been accompanying humanity for thousands of years.

Remark: Here are some facts. It is believed that there is no anti-Semitism in Georgia and never has been. Jews have been living there for more than two and a half thousand years, ever since the destruction of the First Temple. The term is unimaginable.

But after digging into the archives, I found that in the second half of the 19th century, there were six blood libels in Georgia. Incidentally, this period was marked by the highest number of pogroms not only within the Russian Empire, but throughout the world.

They also say that there is no anti-Semitism in Japan. But the Prime Minister of this country Okuma Shigenobu said that Jews around the world are destroying patriotism and healthy foundations of the state.

My Reply: Anti-Semitism is everywhere. It is a natural phenomenon. But the fact is that it can be especially interesting in Japan—where, how, and on what basis it manifests itself.

Remark: That is, we can safely say that anti-Semitism is a law of nature. It has existed for thousands of years and is constantly repeated under certain conditions, mainly when there is a disunity among the Jews.
