The World Needs Correction through Unity

214Gradually, the nations of the world will agree that we must live in friendship and cooperation, and in rapprochement between us. After all, there can be no progress in moving humanity forward otherwise.

Therefore, we are approaching a state where part of humanity will begin to understand that rapprochement between nations is necessary not only to avoid wars; it is a necessity coming from nature itself, from its source, the Creator.

The difficult situation in the country will force people to become interested in the wisdom of Kabbalah. Although they are accustomed to associating Kabbalah with some kind of miracles, mysticism, or rituals, in fact, Kabbalah teaches the structure of reality, which includes the entire universe, all people, all inanimate matter, plants, and animals, that is, the entire nature of the universe without exception.

We must understand that we live in a world that needs correction through unity. There is a lot of work ahead to oblige all the inhabitants of the world to think about this. There is no other way to reach the correction of the world and come to peace and tranquility, to a good life, so as not to be reincarnated in this world, which is falling to the lowest point of reality, unless we connect into one man with one heart.

A person must clearly realize this so that in the turmoil of this life, no matter how confused he is every day by the billions of people around him, he still does not become disconnected from the purpose of life and does not fall under the control of desires for wealth, power, knowledge or when his only concern is for food, sex, and family.

The Winner Is Only the Creator

610.2Question: The whole history of humanity is full of wars, terrible wars. The history of  Israel is full of wars. We know the Holocaust the Israeli people experienced during the War. It turns out that nothing helps, although it is constantly beaten. How much can it be beaten?

Answer: Until we get smarter and all the egoism is knocked out of us.

Question: Are there winners in war, and is it correct to say that reconciliation is the winner?

Answer: Only the Creator can act as the winner, and we want to see such a war. It is a war in which egoism will be defeated and peace will be restored throughout the Earth.

What Does it Mean to Be the People of Israel?

961.1When thinking about how the catastrophe of October 7, this pogrom, could have happened to the people of Israel, you realize that apparently we ourselves allowed it to happen. After all, there is no unification among us as one nation, we do not strive for unity, we neglect each other, and we do not get closer from year to year. We do not meet the requirements that are necessary to be called the people of Israel.

If we were talking about some other nation, then perhaps this would be a normal state of affairs. But Israel became a nation only after it was united. And if there is no unity, then there is no nation—that is the uniqueness of the people of Israel.

Thousands of years ago we agreed to become the chosen people under special conditions. We must not forget about them because they determine the existence of our people who are obliged to be as one man with one heart and as “all of Israel are friends.” We must strive to become more united with every passing year. But the opposite is happening; year after year, there are only more and more street protests, as if the entire country is engaged in a fight between soccer fans after a match.

Therefore, it is not surprising that disaster befalls us. Before it happened, a massive political dispute broke out in the country and stirred up many emotions and aggression. This was the critical point of the internal split.

We need to rise above all disputes. Even though our opinions differ, we maintain good relations. Disagreement does not hinder our good relationships because we feel close and related, like a family in which there is love. Otherwise, we cannot be considered one nation.

From above, there is a desire to show us that nothing will help us if there are no heartfelt relationships between us, the people of Israel, i.e., when I am close to you and you are close to me and so we are all close to each other.

Make Hatred Turn into Love

547.01Question: Why aren’t there two separate states in people, love or hatred, so that a man can work between them, but there is also such a Klipa (impurity) when national love becomes fascism and chauvinism that unites people out of hatred for others. Why does this third form exist?

Answer: This is an extreme form of egoism. People just often confuse it with love for their people.

Question: If you ask your neighbors whether they love their people, they will say: “Of course we do, but in order for us to live happily, we need to destroy our enemies.” Why do people confuse this with love?

Answer: Because if you love someone who is against you, then you are an enemy of your people. And if you hate him and destroy him, then you are a hero for your people.

Question: It turns out that there is some kind of confusion in the world. Why did the Creator not make it so that there were simply two extreme states: hatred and love? Then you could choose.

Answer: People get confused and think that they are in love, although it has nothing to do with love at all. But if love and hatred were separate, then you could not transform hatred into love. It would be just like you tame animals, and they sell themselves to you for food.

Our goal is to transform hatred into love. That is the whole point.

Therefore, the hatred that develops among nations toward other nations must exist. It must be recognized as the wrong hatred and must be transformed into the right awareness of what I hate and what I love.

Question: Is it possible that in the corrected state your neighbors, who are now firing rockets at you, will love you and say: “We love our neighbors”?

Answer: This does not happen right away. This cannot be done in one step. But we know of cases when former mortal enemies became devoted friends.

Question: So, you see that sooner or later this will happen?

Answer: I am sure that this is the way it should be because the more hatred is manifested, the more love will be manifested. We need to explain to people that this is the law of nature.

Question: Should it be a global universal love so that a person can rise above all differences?

Answer: Yes. Ultimately, this will be so because from unity in the ten we come to unity with the Creator. And therefore, we rise above all the forces of nature in unification and love, and all the forces of nature unite within us: both love and hatred.

For Those Who Advance Toward the Correction

558Question: One should always see oneself as half guilty and half innocent. Is it the same for Israel and the nations of the world?

Answer: It is for those who advance toward their correction.

Question: How can we prevent the inner part or quality of Israel from sinking lower and lower?

Answer: Raise it higher and higher by uniting with each other, and the connection between us becomes stronger and stronger.

We Are All Brothers, And Not Only in Misfortune

229Demonstrations, party struggles for power, screams in the streets, and hatred that split the nation—this is the situation in Israel on the eve of the war.

We must fight against our disunity. And the problem is not that people belong to different parties, have different opinions, and demonstrate, but that they want to cancel each other, and thus weaken each other. After all, if I argue with someone, I am obliged to respect him to the same extent, and recognize his right for his own opinion, which may be correct.

Now, in wartime, it seems that hatred has disappeared, and the people are united in mutual support. The pain is so strong that we have forgotten about our hatred. But we have not gone far away from the state that was before the war, and a few days may be enough for us to return to it.

While we are united by common pain, we present one front and have put aside our mutual hatred. But it has not gone anywhere. We see wonderful examples of mutual assistance and self-sacrifice, but all this is a consequence of the blow we have received. And as soon as the external threat weakens and moves away, all the hatred will again spill out from within.

After all, everyone remained devoted to their own opinion. Unity means that I am ready to cancel myself in order to unite with the other—and so we are all among ourselves. Meanwhile there is no such unity and mutual guarantee among the people, but there is a state that Baal HaSulam calls “brothers in misfortune.”

We see many examples of how people are now canceling themselves for the common good, and are ready to help each other, donate, and defend the country. But we should not delude ourselves because this is happening under the pressure of a common tragedy, and we cannot transfer this unity to another level in order to continue correct development.

We need to reach absolute zero where there is no external influence obliging us to unite, and from this zero point begin to build our unity, not because an external threat is pressing on us, but because we ourselves decide to live this way in good connection with each other and want to get closer, feel, and love each other. This requires a change of consciousness, and not external pressure.

Means of Preventing Wars and More

294.2Question: In the “Introduction to The Book of Zohar” it is said that the strengthening of the external nations depends on the internal nations of the world. How can we imagine a state where the internal nations of the world agree with Israel? Is it possible that the will to receive will agree? Usually, we overcome it.

Answer: They will agree. Parts of the nations of the world will gradually agree that there must be friendship, cooperation, and rapprochement with each other; otherwise, humanity cannot make any progress in its historical movement.

Therefore, we are approaching the point that eventually some part of humanity will begin to understand that rapprochement between nations not only prevents wars, but it is a necessity emanating from nature itself, from its source—the Creator. This is how people will begin to develop an understanding of unity.

Israel: By Birth Or By Goal

The Main Weapon Is Our Heart

275The horrors of this war have revealed how unhealthy the state has developed within our people, and our separation is the reason for what happened. Our duty is to correct ourselves and the whole world together with us, that is, to direct it toward unity.

The understanding must come in every heart of the people of Israel that unity is above all other calculations, above who becomes the head of government and what demonstration to attend. We have received a terrible blow, but it will quickly turn into mutual accusations, litigation, and disputes, and will provide plenty of food for the press.

Therefore, it is impossible to return to the same state that was in the people. We have already seen what this had led to and we do not want this to happen again; we want to enter a new world, that is, a new relationship, as it is written in the Torah: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

All sacrifices that accompany the long-suffering history of the Jewish people must not go in vain. Let them become the payment for our unity and correction of the whole world, and let them help all people understand that everything depends on their heart.

Our main weapon is our heart. If this heart unites with the hearts of friends, and if we direct this common heart to the Creator and give Him a place where He can enter, we will turn the whole world in the direction of complete unity between everyone. We just need to start, and then the Creator will finish this work for us.

We cannot blame each other and push each other away. On the contrary, we must feel that we are one person, one heart, one people, one group. We are together in one shelter from which we can leave only if we have reliable weapons. And this reliable weapon is our unity, with the help of which we can expand the walls of refuge to the entire width of the globe and turn all of humanity into one person with one heart.

We are talking about internal and not external unity. That is, not that we are on the same territory, in the same country, but in the same heart. And as far as this heart becomes a common one, the Creator enters it.

Become a True People of Israel

933Question: What does our global group have to do to really become an independent nation and feel like the true people of Israel?

Answer: To do this, the only thing we need is to unite among ourselves. We are the ones who have an inner movement to attain the Creator, so we must become one in order to create conditions for His revelation.

Question: What does independence entail? Is it that we always support this flame of love out of responsibility within the group and everything external should no longer be a reason for us to unite?

Answer: Sure. The more we unite internally, the less we will pay attention to the external. So much so that for you, uniting with another person with a different mentality or other external signs will not play any role at all. It all depends on where we are headed.

The Creator gives us all kinds of new external signs so we can understand the interdependence of the whole nature through them, and so its external and internal parts would be absolutely enclosed in our understanding.

What Does Israel Need to Win?

961.2Question: We are at war. Terrorists, Hamas, have entered Israeli territory. They captured the border kibbutzim and even entered our cities.

There are a lot of tragedies around. We hear blood-chilling stories—both stories of courage and stories of killing. All this is filmed on phones and posted on the networks. It is terrible!

There was a festival where 3,000 young people gathered in the south. Hundreds of them were killed. The number of deaths is already approaching a thousand. I am afraid to name numbers. There are thousands of wounded, and what is even more scary for Israel is that there are lots of captives. Once the whole country was talking about one captive. Now there are a huge number of them.

How should we relate to all this?

Answer: This is terrible! This is terrible. I understand the grief and the feeling of those who are now in captivity in the hands of those who hate us. They really do hate us. I felt this hatred. Of course it is terrible!

Question: We are talking with you on the third day of the war. There are still terrorists there who are fighting, and our guys are dying. Their names are published; they are from our most elite special forces, real heroes. Why do the best die first?

Answer: It is like that always and everywhere.

Question: What kind of law is this?

Answer: The fact is that war reveals the true structure of society. Therefore, those who belong to its best parts find themselves ahead. It is they who are sent first, who go and die.

Comment: That is, this is the hope of the country; these are the best ones.

My Response: The best ones that we have.

Comment: Just imagine! It takes years to raise such soldiers. And they go and die. This is, of course, very frustrating!

My Response: It is impossible to put it in words!

Comment: What we see now is all being filmed: how they kill and how brutally they do it all. They came to kill us, and it feels like they are animals.

My Response: Yes, of course, they are animals. They have been prepared for this, and they are fulfilling their “national duty.” That is what they think.

Question: That is, for the other side they are heroes?

Answer: Yes, definitely!

Comment: For all of them.

My Response: For everyone.

Question: Is it possible to kill and be considered a hero?

Answer: Absolutely all residents of Gaza are prepared to kill and in general sweep Israel away from its place.

Comment: And not just kill—kill like that! Just like that in a totally merciless way.

My Response: They do not consider it at all.

Comment: There are such ruthless, cold beings demanding our destruction in front of us.

My Response: Animals.

Question: Animals. Then what should our attitude be? What should we do? Now we understand this. What should we do?

Answer: We must totally destroy this territory because it will remain the source of all problems. There is nothing to be done about it!

Question: You said “destroy this territory.” What do you mean?

Answer: I mean that the several million people living in this territory simply need to be resettled. Not to allow this territory called Gaza to exist anymore. To keep such a flammable, explosive mixture at your side, and to provide for it, and to feed it above all. There is no such thing anywhere, and it is not acceptable anywhere.

Comment: If we leave it as it is and play our game again somehow…

My Response: Nothing will help, and in the future we will have to deal with this on an even larger scale.

Question: And what is going on in the north! There we have Nasrallah, Hezbollah, and Iran. What can we do with all this, with these instigators?

Answer: There is only one thing that can be done about all this—we Israelis need peace, unity, and understanding among ourselves, and then we will not have any problems with our neighbors. In general, all the problems in the world will disappear.

Question: Does it mean that you see this basis of everything to such an extent?

Answer: I am constantly talking and warning about this. Personally, I believe that this is the only way to deal with it.

The reason is that Israel exists within such a framework, under such terrible pressure from the outside world in relation to the fact that we are not bestowing to the world what we should bestow.

We must bring the world an example of unity between us in the first place. And if we choose all kinds of mutual hatred, internal demonstrations and other things happening with us, if we, in principle, are ready to kill each other internally, then naturally we will see a reflection of these relationships from the outside.

Our internal hatred, which flared up before the war, led to this war and to the way our enemies behave with us.

Question: To this ruthlessness toward us?

Answer: Yes. In principle, they are not enemies. We set them up this way through our attitude toward each other. So we do not need to talk much here. We only need to convince ourselves that we must love each other and then everything in the world will calm down, and there will not be a single person nor a single nation that would be against us.

Comment: Today the world sees these horrors, and all this is posted on the internet. These images are being sent everywhere, and yet I am sure it will not be long before everything is erased from the world’s memory.

My Response: If we forget about this within Israel, then we will have to feel how it is to be reminded of this again.

Question: So we should not forget about this?

Answer: Not only not to forget, we must correct it completely.

Comment: For this we must understand the basis of everything you are talking about.

My Response: The basis of everything is our hatred of each other.

Question: The question is whether we should rely only on ourselves or whether we should rely on some kind of help and regret on the part of the world? What should our attitude be?

Answer: We must not rely on anyone! Only on ourselves and on the Creator! Only in this case can we see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Question: In 1973 there were regular armies standing in front of us. They say that what is happening now is similar to the Yom Kippur war 50 years ago. By the way, it started almost the same day.

Then entire armies opposed us, but we won. Now these are terrorists who have entered our land. What has changed in us since then?

Answer: We neglected the opportunity to unite, to build ourselves, to build a normal state and a normal society. Everyone thinks about themselves. Everyone wants to have more and better than their neighbor. This is the difference between us today and what used to be before.

I do not think that everything is lost, but the point is whether we have achieved the kind of connection between us that will give us a feeling of the right attitude toward each other and security—that we are a single people and not one that is divided and is simply breaking into many different pieces.

Question: Can we say that at that time we were still, as it were, children of kibbutzniks—was there such a state then? And today are we already children of rich parents?

Answer: Yes, definitely!

Question: Terrorists easily penetrated the security structures on the border with Gaza. We built this wall, invested a billion dollars, and installed cameras and sensors.

In the end none of this worked, and there are a lot of questions about this both on the Internet and in interviews with people. How could this happen?! How could our intelligence forces, which are considered the best intelligence forces in the world, miss all this?

Why was the army so slow? Only six hours later, as it was reported, they entered the kibbutzim, and began some kind of action. For six hours people stayed there, hid, and locked themselves in their houses.

Where does all this come from? How could intelligence screw this up? Tell me, please, even in just an earthly way.

Answer: A war begins when it is clear that we do not know how to defend ourselves, that we have lost our strength. Then enemies begin the war.

Question: That is, then intelligence and vigilance are put to sleep, and war begins?

Answer: Yes, it is already coming from above. It is our problem, and there is a big showdown ahead. Unless it makes it still worse for us. Our internal enemies will dance on the ashes.

Question: Do you want to say that in this matter the Creator is, as it were, against us?

Answer: Of course, the Creator is against us. This is what the Torah says. If we are not united between us, then we are absolutely naked in front of the enemy, he will do whatever he wants with us, and the Creator will guide him. He will lead us to the next correct state not through ourselves, but through our enemies.

The fact is that almost everything we are doing does not bring us anything. We can create a fence only from our unity. Of course, I am not in favor of not building fences, but they are castles in the air. This does not help us at all. Neither intelligence nor the army, nothing can replace the nation’s unification. If this unification does not exist, the nation is naked. It faces its enemies without a weapon in its hands, without an ounce of courage or intention to hold on.

Question: What will happen to us? How do we build a real, warm, and safe world?

Answer: It all depends on how those several million Jews who live here can build themselves into a correct society. This is what the Torah says. I have been convinced of this for decades.

Question: So you cannot be moved! How can one hear this in this case? Should we expect more and more blows, or can we draw a conclusion from this? Such a thing has practically never happened to us, even during the Yom Kippur war.

Answer: Of course. Each subsequent war will be even worse. It will be even worse because, in principle, all this is happening to us in order to teach us how to live among ourselves. And this will give the world a new path of development.
