Responsibility for the World

254.02Question: You currently spend a lot of time explaining the principles of Kabbalah in an easy way. Rabash did not need to descend to the level of other people, he just talked and that is it. How different was the language of his explanations from the one you are using for us now?

Answer: You receive the material in a much more systematized way. Every day I give you a huge amount of information, which is more and more chewed over, adapted, and presented in different aspects. You have no idea what you possess!

Rabash was very stingy with words. There are recordings of his lessons and recordings of his conversations with me. You can listen to them and see to what extent it was in unfinished hints. By the way, he wrote amazingly, but could not express himself in spoken form.

Question: How did you manage for such a long time without knowing so many things, without attainment?

Answer: There was no way out! This is what I was born for! What is there in life besides this?

And how does a hard-working person manage when he is responsible for his family?

I have a different responsibility; I was given the opportunity to learn from a great Kabbalist, to gain everything I could from him in order to become his follower. This is a huge responsibility. And it sets you up, alerts, and mobilizes you.

At the same time, I did not feel any self-importance, but the importance of the mission itself was more or less clear to me. Therefore, I pursued only one goal—to absorb from the teacher all I could. Of course, there were also very bad times when I weakened and neglected him. I had to go through everything. That is how I worked. But of course, from above you receive strength, opportunities, conditions, and properties.

How can you refuse such an important task if you feel the significance of your mission at least in some way? I had no other choice.

And now I do not have one student. I have a group, the world group, which is my collective student. It includes everybody as separate parts. Like in a living person, there are legs and arms, parts close to the soul and remote from its inner attainment, gross parts of the body and more subtle ones, so is the world group. And everyone is needed.

That is how I treat everyone. I just pass information trying to fill everyone. We will live and see what happens in the end. But I have no other choice, and I cannot choose one person although there are students who are closer to me, those with whom I work.

The Hidden Power of Books

209Kabbalistic books consist of two parts. One part directs you to intention: what you should do when reading texts.

The second part is the texts themselves when, by reading them, you invite upon yourself the upper light, the hidden force that exists in the world that is called the Creator. Thus, this force of nature raises you and develops you.

In our world, when a small child plays with toys, this force develops him because he instinctively wants to be big. In the spiritual world, I myself have to want to create such a desire in me and play.

What am I playing with? With texts. I read about my future upper state, and then the same force that develops a child in our world will develop me. It is called “concealed light” or “the light that returns to the source,” “the reforming light.”

Code of Kabbalistic Sources

137In the verse, “In the beginning God created,” God, too, elicited thirteen words to surround the Assembly of Israel and to keep her: THE, HEAVEN, AND-THE, EARTH, AND-THE EARTH, WAS, EMPTY, AND-CHAOTIC, AND-THE DARKNESS, OVER, THE FACE, OF THE ABYSS, AND-THE SPIRIT” (Introduction to The Book of Zohar, “The Rose”).

Comment: At first glance, these sentences seem completely unrelated.

My Response: The fact is that when you read the Torah, you begin to understand that all the relations between us and the Creator are summarized and encrypted in it in a short form. Basically, the Torah only talks about this.

Question: What does it mean “The Creator created the heaven and the earth”?

Answer: Heaven is the upper attitude, the quality of Rachamim, i.e., the quality of mercy to each other. Earth, on the contrary, is a quality of hardness. This way, being between two forces, positive and negative, that operate within us, we can use them to move ahead toward adhesion with the Creator.

Accessible Kabbalah

265Question: People love when you give public lectures. You explain various things very clearly because it is difficult for many to understand more complex lessons like The Book of Zohar, TES, etc. Can they remain on a constant recharge from such large-scale lectures?

Answer: Yes, that is enough. If a person constantly listens to my lectures, and there are a lot of them, dozens, even hundreds, of all kinds of lectures available to a wide range of people, then through these simple phrases a person receives more and more internal information. It breaks deeper into him and works within him.

Perhaps later, he himself will be inclined to open my specific articles and books.

The Entire Spiritual Path of a Person

216.02Comment: Baal HaSulam’s book Shamati (I Heard) is written logically, beautifully, and understandable for a person. But this text seems to be encoded because it speaks about something slightly different than what is written in the book.

My Response: Yes, but a person can discover this code. It cannot be passed on secretly from one person to another. One who can understand, understands. One who does not understand cannot do anything about it.

Put a dog next to a Kabbalist, what will it understand? It must first attain the qualities of a human, and then turn from a human into a Kabbalist.

It all depends on us. While we read Shamati, we feel this text differently due to our corrections, not because something exists in the text, but because everything exists in a person.

Let’s say you have a musical score in front of you. If you have a musical instrument, you can play it. If you understand the notes, you can sing without an instrument. But if you do not have an understanding of what these symbols are, what can you do?

Therefore, a person who constantly reads Shamati reveals more and more information in it. There is a deeper code in this book than we imagine when we first read it. It describes the entire spiritual path of a person.

Implementation of Spiritual Information

234Question: You say that you give us information and the rest is our work. What is the implementation of this information?

Answer: You must annul yourself before the teacher as much as possible in order to take his advice and instructions and follow them the way he tells you to in the group and in the study. That is it! Nothing else.

Additional work is dissemination. By disseminating the Kabbalistic methodology in the world, you receive from the world its desires, its emptiness, and thus you raise them. You are excited by the world and its striving forward and by the lack of its ability to be fulfilled.

That is, dissemination is also of great importance. But, in principle, the priorities are arranged as follows: the teacher, then the group, and together with the teacher and the group, study with books.

By correctly implementing this in yourself, you awaken the hidden force in nature that develops, corrects, creates, and animates everything—the force of bestowal and love called the Creator or light.

Covenant between Worlds

243.05As the form of the covenant was sown in forty-two Zivugim from the seed, the engraved and explicit Name was sown in the forty-two letters of the act of creation (Introduction of The Book of Zohar, “The Rose“).

Comment: It is not clear how to connect these words.

My Response: When a person reads The Book of the Zohar, maybe even more than once, and passes it through himself, he gradually begins to understand some kind of connection between the sentences and what they lead to.

The article “The Rose” is about the covenant between the upper world and the lower world. It is said that “the form of the covenant was sown in forty-two Zivugim (connections) from the seed,” i.e., from the upper light, which carried in itself the quality of the global connection.

42 qualities must unite in order to create the correct contact, the correct connection, between the upper world (Atzilut) and the lower world.

Question: What 42 letters are we talking about if there are only 22 letters in Hebrew?

Answer: 22 letters are not letters, but qualities. Plus 10 more direct light and 10 reflected light.

The correct translation of the word “letter” is “sign.” That is, 22 signs of the connection of the spiritual world with our world and five additional sofit letters: mem, nun, tzadi, peh, and kaf (ם, ן, ץ, ף, ך), which are written only at the end of words.

The Cause Of Crises And Conflicts

504Comment: Various sciences, for example, physics and geology, have their own canons. But Kabbalah, although it explains a lot, works with a person’s inner states.

My Response: Naturally, Kabbalah explains the inner world of a person, in which you do not have such fulcrum as in physics and other natural sciences. Natural sciences are what you study outside of yourself, and here is a science that studies you, and you cannot find it all within yourself.

Kabbalah talks about your inner perception, inner world, inner qualities, Sefirot, Partzufim, worlds, and so on, but they are not in you yet. You do not detect them, so you feel bad. You do not understand what Kabbalah is talking about. Do I have it? Do I not have it? It is unclear what and how.

All this you must reveal in yourself, and then you will see that the entire world is in you. Your worldview will completely change. You will see that there is nothing outside: your body does not exist and this world does not exist. There is only one point of consciousness that imagines all this.

Question: What kind of protection is it that when a person seems to understand, but at the same time he has a barrier that immediately erases everything?

Answer: The fact is that you create this picture purely speculatively, it has not yet manifested in you, it does not live within you.

Comment: But at the same time I feel that it is important, it affects me.

My Response: Because you see that this is actually closer to reality, truth, and a sensible view of the world. If you listen to what we said 20 years ago and what we are saying today, we are talking about the same thing. If you listen to what scientists said 20 years ago and their opinions today, you will see how much they have come closer to us over the years.

Today, there really is an opportunity for everyone to connect into one single organized community, which can present some challenges to governments and any public organizations.

The current society does not correspond to the global, integral scheme of nature, and therefore we come to crises and wars. I could not imagine 30 years ago how people would suddenly begin to receive blows only from their non-conformance with the global system.

The Creator, the general integral system of nature, must now begin to manifest itself in relation to us. He wants to be revealed, He comes closer to us, and we are opposite to Him. This is where the conflict and crisis arise.

Look for Luck

514.04Question: You often say that in addition to studying texts and practicing Kabbalah, luck is also important. What do you mean by luck?

Answer: By luck, I mean that a person should be careful not to miss a single moment in life. Luck is not favoritism. Luck is when I make the most effective use of every moment to absorb everything I can from every circumstance.

As they say: “Look for luck.” I do not know where it is, but I am prowling like a dog, where can it be? That is what I mean by looking for luck.

I want to make my students more feeling and sensitive in order not to miss every moment.

Question: In any case, do you focus on the main core of students with whom you can communicate more deeply?

Answer: No, my lesson is designed for a more or less average level of students, or maybe a little higher.

The rest are gradually catching up. I am still focusing on the more internal part, on more complex material, in order to force the others to improve a little.

Someone understands five percent, someone fifty, and someone seventy or eighty. But what can I do? I have to develop a methodology both in breadth and depth and a little upward, and show that it covers everything that exists in our world.

Communication on the Same Level

115Question: When you began to study with Rabash, you were still in the ordinary perception of this world. Did it not seem strange to you that he talked about the spiritual world?

Answer: Do you think he told me a lot?! Very little! Basically, we talked at my level about the methods of spiritual work, the dissemination of Kabbalah in the world, and the ideas of Baal HaSulam. I could not speak at a level above myself because I did not understand anything in it.

It is the same as in any science! How can you tell a first-grader what he will study in the next classes if he still does not have this knowledge at all? And here one needs not just knowledge, but attainment. That is, he will talk, and you will not understand what he is talking about.

Now I also say things that do not affect you. But I say them. It is recorded. Later you will use the archive.

Comment: In principle, you and Rabash studied TES (Talmud Eser Sefirot), which can be structured.

My Response: It can be structured, nothing more. But from this structure, you begin to slowly extract some principles for yourself: how the light influences the desire, how the desire influences the light in return, what combination occurs between them, and the play of one with the other. The most important thing is the influence of the study on you.
