Answer: We must build our unity starting with the types of connections that now exist between us in mutual assistance and mutual connection with each other.

We can reach a state in which we exist as if in one body into which we will begin to receive the spiritual light—the light of The Book of Zohar.

And so we will gradually approach an understanding of what this book wants to tell us.

We need to perceive our teachers as closely as possible, as if they fill us. And the more we strive for them, the closer they will approach us. Eventually we will begin to feel them existing directly within us.

Answer: Because it ties your hands.

Question: How do we work with the outside world when we follow the Torah’s instructions?

Answer: The outside world does not feel this. It is not in this sector.

Question: Should I voice my questions, or can I study silently?

Answer: You can study silently, but if you study together with friends, everyone should know about it.

Question: How do we agree with our soul so that it helps us, prays for us, and holds us?

Answer: Talk to it all the time, address it, and ask the Creator for this.

Question: How do I return to the internal part of the study when I feel a strong separation?

Answer: By efforts and only by efforts. Always be among friends and you will avoid separation.

Question: Why does Baal HaSulam’s article “He Who Ceases Words of Torah and Engages in Conversation” (Shamati, 234) categorically say not to interrupt Torah studies in any case? As if our achievements are going to be lost?

Answer: You cannot break away, not because your achievements will be lost, but because when you leave the Torah, you allow the opposite forces to take over you.

Question: What should you do if your family begins to oppress you because you have taken up Kabbalah and begun to teach you how to live? What should one do?

Answer: Bow your head quietly, listen to what they say, and promise them that you will devote less time to this.

Question: Is a mutual request to the Creator enough to connect us and do everything the way He wants, or is it still necessary to scrutinize where we are and what we need now?

Answer: Do what you can. Ask the Creator for what you think is necessary, and you will gradually learn how to turn to Him and rise in asking questions.

Question: What should we do with envy that suddenly emerges and instantly burns everything? Is there a way to get ahead so it does not cause harm?

Answer: Pray always that envy does not defeat you, but that you would defeat envy.

Question: When we read an article together, is it worthwhile interrupting for discussion, or is it better to finish reading to the end, even if there is no time left for discussion?

Answer: It is better to read the article to the end.

Answer: Yes, the Torah gives joy in the heart, and this protects a person.

Question: At what stage of the spiritual path does the Torah begin to protect a person?

Answer: The Torah always protects a person.

Question: It is said that it is difficult to observe the Torah. Why does this heaviness arise?

Answer: Because we are not created to fulfill the Torah without effort.

Question: How can we experience the influence of the Torah on the ten and not enjoy it?

Answer: We attract the upper light at every lesson, every meeting, every gathering. We only need to increase our connection and collective demand for a new connection.

Question: You said that we attract the light of correction through prayer. Is it possible to attract it also through a dissemination action?

Answer: Yes, dissemination is a very effective correction method, second in importance after the lesson.

Question: What kind of analysis should each person make during a lesson so that we would keep the yearning for correction, the Torah, and the Giver of the Torah at the center of our study?

Answer: The most important thing is for you to think about the connection between you and then between you and the Creator. This is what you should always keep in mind.

Comment: Externally, not everyone can or wants to show the importance of the goal, the pressure, and the intensity during the study.

My Response: It is enough to think about it and not necessarily to speak about it. There are people who are shy or unable to express their thoughts and some who believe that there is no need to talk about them. When a person talks about what is important to them, they sort of dissipate their thoughts.

Question: How can one internally build a connection with everyone and with the goal?

Answer: You must be connected with each other, determine how good, kind, and desirable your connection is in the eyes of the Creator, and constantly aim toward Him.

From The Zohar, Noah, There was a flood, and the saboteur was sitting in the midst of it (Baal HaSulam, Shamati 104, “And the Saboteur Was Sitting”).

Question: Corporeal suffering is a flood. Can a saboteur exist without a flood? And what is the difference between a saboteur in the flood and without it?

Answer: A flood is a state in which a person feels that he is being flooded from all sides, pulled down, and simply suffocating and dying.

And the saboteur distracts us from the Creator with the help of various painful sensations. His function is to frighten us, to show us that there are worse states, and He can plunge us into them.

Therefore, we must know how to position ourselves against it so that its impact on us is not so strong, serious, or threatening.

Question: What thoughts will save us during the flood when we feel that we are suffocating and nothing will save us anymore?

Answer: You must stick together and try to rise out of the water together, pulling each other out. To protect each other from the saboteur, it is necessary to unite even more closely and turn to the Creator that He can help you in this. This is the most important.

Question: How does The Book of Zohar differ from TES or Psalms  with respect to the power of correction?

Answer: The Book of Zohar is unique because it was composed by people who sought to uncover the mysteries of the spiritual world and present them to all of humanity. Kabbalists consider The Book of Zohar the most valuable book in attaining the Creator.

Question: Why is the language of The Book of Zohar so complex? Couldn’t everything be explained, for example, from the perspective of the physics of light or electromagnetic laws, so that one could first understand spirituality in the mind and then pass it all through feelings?

Answer: It cannot be so. The Kabbalists who wrote The Zohar presented us with this gift, the simplest and most accessible, to attain the upper light and through it reveal the Creator.

Question: What does self-sacrifice for the sake of the Torah and commandments mean?

Answer: It means that I neglect all the states that are comfortable for me only to feel the inner meaning of the Torah, commandments, and The Zohar.

Question: Reading The Book of Zohar always evokes amazing feelings. I started reading it independently a year and a half ago and was surprised I could do it. Then I started reading it in the group. Recently I realized that I stopped feeling it.

Answer: There is nothing to worry about. Various states of this kind happen so you elevate the desire  and aspiration to understand The Zohar.

Question: When we are overwhelmed by the love we feel for the teacher and our friends in the ten, should we make a restriction on it? How should we work with it?

Answer: If you direct all of this toward the Creator, then you experience some ascent. And this happens every time, again and again.

Question: When can a ten be in a state of Nefesh?

Answer: The common light you reach will be called the light of Nefesh.

Question: If everything is good on the spiritual level, what does it mean “pleases or does not please the spirit of people”?

Answer: There are spiritual actions that force us to take a roundabout path, and there are actions where you move straight. This is essentially what determines success or failure in spirituality.

Question: How do we recognize the differences that are important to overcome to reach unity among us and those that can be accepted?

Answer: Anything that prevents us from connecting must be corrected.

Question: What does it mean to bring the left line to holiness?

Answer: It means that all your egoism, which is revealed in you at this moment, must be corrected into altruism.

Question: How can each of us become Mordechai and call upon the group to unite? The group is our world, after all.

Answer: A person who feels that the most important thing is the unification of all people is called Mordechai, from the word “Mor-Dror” (light of freedom).

He attracts the light of the Creator from above, which unites all people. And therefore, in such an action there is a possibility of defeating the most evil force—the force of Haman.

Question: So we should do this on Purim so that we lead the group to correction?

Answer: Not only on Purim, but all the time throughout the year.
